Sole Patchouli

A very bright green and aromatic patchouli. I've recently been on a patch spree, and this was a bit of a shock coming from earthier frags like Borneo and Patchouli Premiere... I wasn't aware patchouli could smell this fresh and bright, and if I were to sniff this blindly would have probably guessed it to be a vetiver fragrance! Having said all of that, I really like it. It opens, as mentioned, with a clean and bright quality, but is also a fairly camphorous, which gives it an herbal coughdrop vibe (but in a very pleasant way). The only point that might turn some off (not me!) is that the civet occasionally lends it a slightly fetid ripe-fruit quality, which reminds me very much of durian fruit (and in particular, the smell of a cold refrigerator that is storing durian). I also love durian, though, so take that as you will...

Between this and Jovoy’s Psychedelique, I’ve found two incredible patchouli fragrances. I have a handful more but I think this and JP are standouts. The reviewer below me is spot on. This is a bright, fresh and airy patchouli scent. Some powdery florals that are blended beautifully. I don’t get much potent civet either, but there’s a slight trace. A small amount comes through during the dry down. Not in your face like Kouros or Afrika Oliphant. More refined like Layton Exclusif, maybe Amouage Gold. Just enough to provide a bit of depth. This thing is pinging off one spray. It’s the type of scent you’ll want to keep smelling. Going to test it in the office tomorrow. Don’t think HR will be calling me in. If they do, it’ll be to ask what I’m wearing. It’s that good. My first from Vertus. On this evidence, it won’t be the last.

This is a versatile fragrance. Personally, I think you can wear it whenever and wherever you want. Scent-wise, it showcases different "types" of patchouli. It's minty and herbal/medicinal, and has a fizzy/sparkly (soda-like) opening. Then there's a touch of dirtiness in the mid. It dries down to a green, earthy, and powdery scent. There's a slight sweetness throughout its wear. If you like patchouli, this would be an amazing addition to your collection. Quite polarizing to some, try before buying, not everyone would appreciate this. Scent: 9/10 Projection: 10/10 Longevity: 9/10 I laughed when I read someone’s comment about this being a copy of Crush On Me. Sole Patchouli came out in 2017 while Crush On Me was released in 2021. So, which one’s the copy?

I was wearing this today. I had a 2ml sample & decided to try it out today. Patchouli is the main note, however, it is not like the one used in Coromandel, here it is green & fresh. Smells like the grass after a rainy day you get this feeling. It is suitable for all seasons all occasions it is fresh, deep, a bit dark & strong enough to cut through the cold. Surprised not many fragrance lovers tried this one. It is a high quality scent & you can sense the ingredients quality. Longevity is 10 hours & projection is ok as I kept getting wafs throughout the whole work day so performance is very good not nuclear but very solid. I will look for a good deal to buy a full bottle soon. Very nice scent & will be one of my favorites for sure. Easy 9/10 rating.

#1624 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a 2ml sprayette from scentswithsense.com. Hooo Boy! That's patchouli baby! WOW! Nothing I've experienced to date brings the patchouli like this stuff! The first tentative spray was room filling! This could well be a "must have" for me. But there seems to be a consensus that Lattafa "Niche Emerati Vintage Castle" is a clone of this for about $80 less, so I've blind bought a bottle of that. If when it arrives it measures up or doesn't, I'll come back here and say so. If it doesn't, I will definitely buy this stuff. This stuff is nuclear for sure, so go easy, but Gawd is this stuff yummy! Good Luck and Good Hunting!

Oh this is good! If you're a patchouli lover that is... On me, this starts off green and clean. it later morphs into an earthy, dusty, little spicy, sweet combo; I get no civet! It may be there but I'm not picking up any skank; thank goodness! This can be deceptive on the performance side. You may think you didn't spray enough, until you get wafts of it (it can be too much), if you spray too much. Develops very well on skin. Resist the urge to spray this on your clothes. You won't get the full experience if you do plus, it will stay on your clothes till you wash it off. I love it. PS; you have to love patchouli.

I think ReHan's review is the most accurate one. Some people say this fragrance doesn't smell like patchouli, but I completely disagree. It smells like patchouli from start to finish—just in different forms. As ReHan perfectly described it: "Camphorous patchouli at the opening, followed by green, herbal patchouli, then a sweeter, fresher patchouli—perhaps thanks to the marshmallow note. A true patchouli garden."

One of the freshest Patchouli out there It's like been dropped in a field of wet dewy patchouli leaves , this scent does capture the fresh elements of patchouli and multiplies on it. The mimosa and Orris presence are clear also, giving a soft powdery floral background. Highly recommended for Patchouli lovers who are looking to experience Patchouli in a fresh ways. Cheers

An intriguing patchouli on the earthy, crunchy peppery side of the leaf, evoking a phantom note of cannabis supported by sweeter floral... Apparently, there is a marshmallow note pressed seamlessly into the base...Thankfully, the end result is not candied, merely pungent green and very addictive... This is one that will be on the future radar!

I've just bought my backup bottle from Indirimci as well. I'll most likely get my third bottle in September or October. This is a fragrance I'll never be able to live without. this one is very nice. strong and smooth patchoeli smoothed out by the iris with some sweetness of marshmellow and a pinch a touch of animalicness just a tiny bit making it interesting. i like smelling this one in the air it is very nice for patchoeli lovers. more for men. performance is strong

Perfect deep green patchouli with a hint of sweetness from marshmallow. Smells extremely appealing, rich. Performance is excellent with very good projection and sillage. As another guy commented here, I want to swim in it)) My score: 9/10

I adore this stuff. One of my favorite bottles in my collection. Beautiful fragrance that offers depth, richness and roundness despite its patchouli namesake. Vertus is just a great, unique fragrance house.

One of the most versatile scents ever made. I never get bored if it , which is why I think it's the most perfect daily driver. The blend is SECOND TO NONE. It's pure Art.

This stuff is dry down magic. At first, I thought it was... different. Then, about twenty minutes later I couldn’t stop smelling my arm. It’s very pleasant.

This is the best perfume I own. It’s dark, it’s rich, it’s masculine, it’s slightly sweet. It’s everything I ever wanted in a fragrance.
