Bare Vanilla Intense Body Mist

I have tried it now. While when it dries down theres similarities to viva vanilla, it is Not the same. The more I wear it and the more I wear viva vanilla, i see the differences. Night and day. Nope. Much smoother and sweeter. And i dont get fruit on my skin. On my skin there is no apple! I mostly get a slightly spicy vanilla, with a sweet vanilla with saffron with a hint of cocoa. Perhaps the vanilla orchid is bringing off sweetness to it. Not overpowering. I dont get rose or black pepper. It all blends well though. Its not like bare vanilla at all. Its better. My skin chemistry enjoys this scent and lasts all day. This fragrance is a skin chemistry fragrance. It will smell different on everyone. Reviews said it resembled viva vanilla so I was hesitant to try it. Quite frankly am afraid of anything with pepper and rose in it. Glad I decided to try it and i bought many back ups. It layers well with viva vanilla and bare sueded vanilla. This is now my go to scent combo! Stocked up on all 3. Its hard to explain what it smells like. Its unique. Its doing its own thing. Its not a dupe of anything ive ever used. As a migraine sufferer, I dont get headaches with it and also do not break out from it. So I am glad for this!

Bought this when it first dropped and I’m coming back to say I still can’t get enough of it. I’m not a gourmand girl, I lean towards clean, but this is my gateway of choice. Longevity is great for a body mist, about 3 noticeable hours on skin and weeks on clothes. Sillage and projection are more than incredible for the first two hours and quickly begin to fade afterwards. I’ll be buying this again and again until I die. It’s dark and sweet, a little syrupy, even. It can be cloying but I’ve never had any complaints with my application, only compliments!

Amazing and very addictive. It seems darker and more refined than the original. Fairly unique. Good for day and night wear and even for the office. I sprayed it and keep sniffing it and reminding myself throughout the day: what was it that smells so good? Ah, yes! It's the Bare Vanilla Intense! 😊 If you haven't had a chance to smell it yet, do yourself a favor and try it. My favorite from the Intense collection.

I am sniffing myself constantly, can't get enough. I'm captivated! This blends all my favourite notes exquisitely, and it's intimate enough in sillage that I don't worry about assaulting people with it, while still making a gorgeous cloud around me, for me and my loved ones to enjoy. What a treasure, and at this price? Enamored, delighted.

B&BW In the Stars/Ariana Grande Cloud + vanilla. Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla - plum. I detest In the Stars, Cloud & Mod Vanilla, but this is superior to all of them. It is still just a "like" to me, but it's surprisingly better than I anticipated after seeing others say it would be similar to the previously mentioned scents! The addition of vanilla makes this smoother than ItS/Cloud; it's like Mod Vanilla but without the juicy plum note that I find so incongruent in that fragrance. It's not really similar at all to the OG Bare Vanilla, IMO. Without the tea-like freshness of the original, it was not the first thing that came to mind when smelling it, although I get that the vanilla base is *somewhat* similar to the original in the deep dry-down. If anything, right off the bat, it's a bit more reminiscent of Vanilla Lace, but actually better/more modern to my nose (the "musk" in VL smells very dated/old-fashioned to me). In that regard, the vanilla in it is kind of like the one in VS Gilded Vanilla, but without the jasmine. The more I smell it, the more I like it & actually find it quite sexy. Fascinating! I ordered this online as an add-on to get free shipping without having smelled it & then saw the comparisons to In the Stars & was sure I would be returning it. After trying it for myself, however, I'll actually keep it! I'll definitely have to be in the mood for it to wear it, but this somehow successfully made the BR540/In the Stars/Cloud DNA wearable to me! A very pleasant surprise indeed. Edited to add: I do not get rose from this in the slightest, in spite of it being one of the listed notes. I also wouldn't have named apple blossom or black pepper either. It's not overtly chocolate-y, but after reading cocoa as a note, I can kind of see how this might have a similar vanilla + cocoa/cacao vibe going on as in Burberry Goddess/B&BW Vanilla Ease, but, of course, minus the ginger & lavender notes.

I splurged and blind-bought some VS fragrance mists during their online sales (Naughty Spice, Bare Vanilla Intense, Pure Seduction Intense, and Love Spell Joy Edition), so if anyone else wants to read some reviews before they splurge, feel free to check out mine. Intense compared to the original Bare Vanilla indeed! What was a plush, linear, cozy cashmere and powdery vanilla in the OG has transformed into something much more spiced, almost smoky with Bare Vanilla Intense. The vanilla has darkened, the sandalwood is smoked, the saffron and pepper accords remind me of plenty of Arabian/Lattafa fragrance formulations; that is to say, these two notes come off as more prominent than the vanilla itself in the early phase of this fragrance. The rose note is faint, as if it is wafting in from another room—the cocoa is faint as well, but emerges more after this fragrance has developed over an hour or so. This blend overall comes off as a spicy, edgy vanilla that almost leans unisex, blossoms into something more addictive the more you smell it. A couple hours of longevity, sits close to the skin as I'm beginning to realize most VS body mists do, but can be built up into a scent bubble/trail. Cold weather recommended: I wouldn't wear this in weather warmer than 50 degrees, it would become cloying and overpowering fast. I believe the OG Bare Vanilla is much more fluffy, mass-appealing, and comforting than this Intense version, but I suppose that's basically the point; the Intense being a more mysterious, slightly intimidating older sister compared to the original. I do find myself missing the velvety cashmere of the OG, I feel this would've helped Intense remain a bit more true to the OG :( . I would consider layering the OG with Intense if you would like to soften some of the edges of this fragrance, at least, that's what I'll be doing!

Very apple forward, the apple note in this, is the same as their past scent Moon Spiced Apple. I don't understand the comparisons to B&BW Viva Vanilla, there's no similarities here in my opinion. This is not like the original Bare vanilla; definitely its own new scent.

Very decent for a body mist. It is a sister (definitely not a twin) of Mod Vanilla by Ariana Grande.
