Coconut Passion Noir

I will start by saying I love vanilla & had no expectations for this perfume as I got it as a gift. Actually the first time I tried it it overwhelmed me and gave me a headache so I left it alone for a while. Then recently I tried it again and WOW. I love this perfume now. I’m also surprised how long this lasts as perfumes always fade fast on me. If you are looking for a boozy vanilla, this is it. There’s something to it that’s a little deeper & more sexy than just your average sweet vanilla perfume. I think you really have to like sweet gourmands to like this, but I love it. Price can’t be beat but I’m sad that they discontinued it.

I loved the noir version of the classic Coconut Passion which is one of my favorite smells. If they reproduce this one, I will definitely buy some again :)

This smells really good upon first spray. A nice gourmet vanilla coconut. Unfortunately the dry down is pretty quick and the coconut all but disappears and it literately smells like a vanilla scented candle. I don't hate it, I like vanilla scented candles. Just not sure I wanna smell like one.

i don't get the hate for this one, the coconut is present on my skin, along with a pleasant popsicle-esque accord and some mango, and the dry-down isn't as sweet and you can really feel the orchid, overall, i'm not mad at it, and it is good for layering

Oh I am so, so SO disappointed. Fragrantica doesn't include the Orchid in this, which is the middle note according to the bottle, and it's ALL I can smell. I absolutely love the original Coconut Passion. To this day, it is one of my most complimented perfumes. This? This is nothing but a joke. I don't smell any coconut cream pie. No vanilla. No caramel. Just Orchid. Nothing but toilet freshener Orchid with a hint of mango. I'm so gutted with this one. I thought the coconut cream pie note would be drool-worthy, but this one smells like a fruity body spray on me. I have my nose against my skin like a crazy person and I can't smell any coconut at all! I'll be selling this on.

First the packaging is truly stunning, it's probably the most beautiful and fancy VS bottle. Regarding the scent, this flanker is very different from the original Coconut Passion, the vanilla is amplified and it's much more deep almost ambery. I don't really like it by itself, but layered with any sweet coconut sweet it becomes gorgeous and sweeten your perfumes. My favorite combinations is to pair Coconut Passion Noir with Soleil Blanc from Tom Ford and Utopia Vanilla Coco from Kayali. It should also be very interesting to layer it with any basic vanilla scent. It has a very good longevity for a body mist (more than 5 hours) and the sillage is pretty moderate.

i (as many others 😂😂) am SO dissapointed in this one. can barely feel the coconut! it's just a super sweet boozy scent (i smell either rum or whiskey). smells exactly like zara rich warm addictive, just sweeter, so if you were going for zara's but it was a bit to masculine for you, get this one. the drydown is pure vanilla, like bare vanilla.

Guilty little pleasure. I am not proud nor ashamed of this addiction, it simply exists to fulfill something vacuous left behind by a primal time before I could form more articulate memories, an era of ridiculous saccharine simplicity. I've assumed for all practical purposes that CP Noir was Victorias Secret's response to the wild frenetic drive consumers caused over Cheirosa 39; both body mists certainly share a lot of things in common. You will not however find vaunted florals, rich buttery caramel, smooth coconut milk nor any sort of sandalwood here. No matter how loud or crass the composition suggests so. Coconut Passion Noir is a monotonous, middle of the road, mass-appeal formulation of short-lived tanning lotion and rum soaked, tropical daiquiri created explicitly for kids born and bred on neonlit plastic fantastic popcult veneer of cheap vacation retreats at air conditioned outlet plazas, and maybe, just maybe, be inclined to crash a hotel pool party later on out of sheer boredom rather than pranking rebelliousness. It's not meant to convey or satisfy anything deeper or more nuanced than fleeting, reeking desperation of teen listlessness, and certainly not to quell any ache of understandable need for artful retreats or nature's freeing embrace. On friends and family this mist's initial blast of 'wrapped in sugar'-esque sweetness flees well within the hour leaving one with a Bath & Bodyworks scent sold as 'Coco Shea' or formerly known as 'Exotic Coconut', neither an elevated or deep thrill but it will suffice (on my oily hot skin with and carb-free sweat, it seems to deepen in sweetness and project into forever). Coconut Passion Noir has only these 2 elements, note for note directly. Make of that what you will So yes, anyways. Where IS that luscious rich evening-dwelling orchid featured so prominently on it's bottle's notes? Is it hiding under these roaring heaps of roasted 'coconut'? Or perhaps behind the paralyzing blast of bubbleyummy synthetic smoothie that should count I suppose, for 'caramel' (surely not)? I was informed there'd be a tangy honeyed earthy deepness akin to spiced jojoba or patchouli that could quell my mad desires to retreat and sink into the forest's solace during raging weather or rush hour alike, to watch such fleeting worries as workaday life besets, become consumed by pungently acidic leaves and carnivorous bloodthirsty roots. No, not even a rubbery acrid afterthought? Nothing of the sort? Ohhhh snap, waitasec... hold up... is that fleeting mango syrup veneer. Is THAT... the... 'Orchid'? oh what the what is this what what what. Insert an image of a garish cartoony plastic hibiscus hairclip on said listless teens. There, that should complete the former picture in comic relief, we were painting here. There it is, teenybopper summer vacay realness in the pre-covid era.

To my nose, it is identical to L'erbolario Coco.
