Jasmine Tea Sunrise

Lovely, balmy, and simple. The bergamot shines in the opening. For a moment, I worried that it is redundant to own this and Camellia Sunset, as they both have a lemon tea feel and warmth. However, the jasmine tea comes forth and makes this mist distinctive. The composition is linear beyond the opening. It captures the serenity of a sunrise well. It makes me feel optimistic to start my day. I usually cringe from the sharpness and acridness of tea notes. This one is wearable to me because it's like brewed tea rather than leaves. This has a mellow, slight sweetness to it. It is very, very similar to Libre Eau de Toilette (edt), which also has bergamot, jasmine tea but also orange blossom. If you want to add some depth, layer with a dry woody perfume like cedar, ebony, or teak. You can also layer with green notes like petitgrain and lily of the valley. It's a little simple on its own. To me, this has the strongest projection of the LNY Horse trio. All three of them wear softly. It lasts 3-4 hours on me.

Love the packaging. Love the concept. Scent is okay. The cedar is more prominent than I would like; it's the first thing I smelled. Reminds me a bit of opening an antique cedar storage chest full of curtains and bed linens at my great grandmother's house as a child, lol. The cedar does start to mellow out a bit as it dries down & the jasmine & an earthy, herbal tea note do come to the forefront. Almost starts to smell a bit like honeysuckle further in the drydown. Honestly not sure if or when I will ever reach for this. It's not really my vibe. I liked the idea of it in theory more than I like the scent in reality. Edit: Okay, just tried layering this on top of B&BW Honeycomb perfume mist & it is much more likeable & wearable. So, while I might not wear it on its own, layering it can make it better.

very bright and fresh, and even a touch sweet. smells like a tea flavored hard candy with strong bergamot notes. tea is very strong and fresh, but i cannot smelll at woody notes at all.
