Scandalous

When I saw this adorable bottle with that flower shaped bow automizer I couldn't take me eyes from it.I felt like I need to have it whether I like the juice inside or not.though didn't see high hopes for liking it(I'm not a Victoria secret fan)I asked SA to spray it on my hand.it opens sweet,fruity and sparkly with raspberry and other fruity notes(there was something like a red apple to my nose).I couldn't see anything boozy unlike the term:raspberry liqueur may suggest.this fruity raspberry thing mingles with a soft whisper of florals to create a pretty grily pink scent with milder sweetness.it becomes warmer and more delicious as it dries down.I was very happy to detect praline as sometimes I can't pick it up in perfumes.what stayed with me for about four hours was a pretty,delicious milky fruityfloral with some nutty,chocolatey,vanilla facets to give it a gourmand vibe while peony and it's overall perfumey vibe prevents it from turning to a foody gourmand I agree that there's nothing groundbreaking about it but sometimes the little girly girl inside me who loves color pink and dolls needs something without mature complexity,something sweet,pretty,playful and sexy in a flirty way and scandalous smells so lovely,feminine and charming without really being scandalous.but I don't see it a totally innocent scent as some watery pink floralfruitys tend to be,it has an attractive naughtyness hiding behind it's youthful innocence It's pretty scent was another plus to it's pretty bottle so I decided to buy it but... a 1.7oz is more than 100$!!! I don't think it's the real price for it and I don't know why it's so expensive in my country but as much as I loved to have it I can't justify myself for paying this much but I would definitely buy it if it was 30-40 bucks

Sweet, flirty, warm, fruity, sexy, softly floral, creamy, sensual, slightly boozy, sultry, mysterious, and somewhat dark and deep, yet still light and pretty I have the original bottle from 2014, the one that’s pictured here. So, that’s what I’m reviewing. This is such a good one, Very sexy and sultry! Another of my OG VS faves! I get a lovely, soft, fresh, and floral peony scent in this. I really pick up on the raspberry liqueur which is sweet, fruity, just slightly tart, and has just a subtle boozy scent. I also get the sweet pralines which give this a really lovely sweet and creamy caramel scent with just a whisper of chocolate. I’m also vanilla and I think maybe some amber. The overall scent comes off as a sweet and juicy raspberry drizzled with warm and creamy caramel, with some sweet chocolate flakes on top, sitting next to an open window that brings in a delicate scent of peonies. These older VS fragrances perform better than the newer ones, so the newer bottles of Scandalous will likely smell slightly different and not perform as well. I get good longevity with the 2014 Scandalous, it lasts the majority of the day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out at least an arm’s length from me. If I was going out in the evening I would usually apply more. The bottle itself is just fabulous! It definitely gives off sexy vibes! The detailing is beautiful, and I particularly love the ruffled atomizer on it! I also really love how they added the twist part to the cap so that you can close the bottle off from the atomizer so that the perfume doesn’t evaporate like some of their other ones without this feature. With the other ones you would have to remove the atomizer and replace the cap if you didn’t want your perfume to evaporate.

Omg, i love this. Simple and few notes. The praline is what makes this. Its so sweet but not a summery, day time sweet, IMO. This is wintery nights sweet. Dark. Scandalous! The name fits. Sure, its linear, but it just smells so good!! Mmmmm. Im not a fan of raspberry typically.. And raspberry liqueur just makes me nauseous thinking about it. Way too berry sweet. But its wonderful with the praline. And yes, the peony is also present. The sad thing about this perfume is its crappy lasting power and projection---pretty typical for VS perfume. They really need to learn how to amp up the sillage!. Unfortunately, I don't think VS perfumists will ever get the lasting/longevity right in their perfumes, ever. In this way, they can ensure their sales. VS perfumes go quick as you always need to re-apply. So you go out and buy more and more, and quite often as well. That's how they do it, IMO. Too bad, cause I'd buy this over and over if it lasted. I just feel it's pointless... The smell is too fickle and fleeting :( oh yes, and also... This does have the potential to be sickening and stomach churning, since it does have that raspberry liqueur note. If you spray too much, you'll be dominated and suffocated. In this situation, it ends up smelling reminiscent of sour Robitussin. :( so my advice is to just be light with it. The praline is what made me fall in love with this. It's a likeable fragrance and flirty smelling for sure.. I'm not sure if I'd call it gourmand, or just really sweet. Whatever haha. You should try it if you like either.

This fragrance is a masterpiece in my book. it's sexy, decadent & sweet but yet has this amazing freshness about it thanks to the Peony. The Raspberry Liqueur adds a deep & mysterious sweetness - rather than making it juvenile. I see a a lot of people comparing this to Vera Wang Princess (I own both) which I find to be more powdery, less juicy & less sexy when placed next to this. Princess smells like it's younger, day-time, preppy sister. I'm also not getting much chocolate from Scandalous, but rather a true praline scent; pecans with creamy brown sugar. This is my top 3 most adored VS perfume they have ever put out. This maintained itself as my signature date night perfume for a couple of years. I myself, would be very seduced if my lady showed up smelling like this!!! I've already gone through 2 full-sized bottles, body mist & lotion. If you like gourmand fragrances, then this is definitely a safe blind buy. I can usually get this to last on my skin for about 4 hours but it does tend to sit close. I like to spray this in my hair &/or clothes to help give the scent a further reach. The bottle itself is absolutely gorgeous; truly capturing it's dark & seducing liquid within. I will shamelessly keep it on my shelf even once it's empty!

I love this fragrance! This was my signature scent back in 2014-2015 when I was a VS-aholic. I purchased a 3.4 ounce bottle during this year’s semi annual sale, and I’m glad I did. I was going through my OG perfume collection and came across this fragrance in the original bottle. What lead me back to this fragrance was a Dior fragrance surprisingly. I was wearing Absolutely Blooming. I liked the raspberry note in it, but it was too peppery and slightly masculine on the dry down. Then I thought to myself. “I remember a fragrance with notes of raspberry that smells divine.” It’s this one, Scandalous. IMO it smells way better than Dior’s Absolutely Blooming. It’s more sweet, cozy, and inviting. It’s a wonderful cold weather fragrance. Too bad it’s been discontinued. What a shame. It looks like I purchased a large sized bottle just in the nick of time. The more updated formula though is more fresher. I remember the original being sweet on top of sweet. This reformulation is sweet then fresh in floral. I think it’s more balanced and grown up. I’m in my 40s wearing this and loving it. It’s now my go to off duty fragrance for the Fall and Winter in New England. Fingers crossed, hopefully VS will bring this one back.

Scandalous and Very Sexy are my 2 favorite scents from VS. Both are sweet but not overwhelmingly so. The dry down in Scandalous is where it's all happening for me. It's a gourmand lover's dream. The combination of raspberries and praline are divine and so rich, like biting into a Godiva raspberry cream chocolate topped with chopped nuts. Yum! While Scandalous is light it has great projection and a few spritzes lasts all day. I wear this year-round when I'm in the mood for a gourmand, but the summer is when I love it the most as the praline really comes out in the heat. It certainly satisfies my sweet tooth craving. I just love this scent! Edit 1/12/21 - Just want to add that I have the original vintage version. I haven't tried the newer version, and I don't think I'll need another bottle anytime soon as a little goes a long way with this one. Also want to mention that the bulb sprayer stopped working shortly after getting my bottle, which is fine because it also has a screw on/off cap. While they look great, I hate them because they always cause the perfume to evaporate away. Anyway, the screw top made it super convenient to just transfer some into a travel atomizer and apply it that way.

I just love this scent so much. It’s the only VS perfume I’ve ever loved, they're usually not to my taste. This one is simple, (and some people far down the comments have rudely insulted it for not having more notes) but I don’t see anything wrong with simple as long as it smells wonderful to you. Scandalous opens up with boozy raspberry and peony. After about half an hour, on my skin the peony takes over for awhile, and it spends a couple hours smelling like peony with hints of raspberry and praline. It also can morph to a chocolate-dipped-strawberries smell around this time, but that does not always happen. This perfume keeps me guessing, in a good way. After about 4 hours, oh I love that stage too. It’s just the softest salty praline left on my skin. It’s often reached this point while I’m lying in bed trying to fall asleep, and that smell makes me smile. I’ve purchased 3 backup bottles since this is discontinued. I’ve never found another perfume that is exactly like this one, and I never want to be without it. If you know of one that is similar to this, please feel free to PM me to let me know!

I sold this while decluttering a while ago and regretted it. I love the original bottle, but the plainer bottles are newer as far as I know. So I got the latter. After reintroducing a bottle, I got some backups. Scandalous is soft in strength, which I prefer. It is such a beautiful fragrance. It is deeply fruity and fresh without being tart and bitey. Raspberry is one of my absolute favorite fruity accords. There is a tiny dash of clean peony (not sharp and not powdery), and a smooth praline to give a vanillic vibe. I think I grew out of most of my VS scents but this one is a classic (I love Eau So Sexy too, but Modern Princess by Lanvin is a spicier near-exact dupe, thank goodness. I do want an Eau So Sexy bottle eventually). Scandalous has the fresh-sexy-sweet combination, is simple yet complex, , and never becomes "too much" of anything. I have nice memories of wearing Scandalous during sunny days in the late spring-early summer, eating vanilla ice cream. Love.

Ooo I'm in LOVE! Usually all VS scents smell about the same to me - generic fruity/floral. This one however hits all the right numbers for me! I was shopping for lingerie with my husband when I saw some testers and the moment I tried this one, I was hooked. Something about the raspberry mixed with the peony (I'm a HUGE fan of Warm & Cozy that also has a big peony note) that screamed, "SUMMER!" to me. Once I got home and the drydown became a bit sharper I realized this would make a beautiful fall or even winter scent but something about the warm melting fruit mixed in with the subtle background of praline still smells wonderful in this HOT weather. Is it "scandalous"? No. Not in any way, shape or form. But it IS sexy and my hubby loves it on me. This might be one of those "all season" scents. In any case, it's pretty much my go-to for the summer of 2016. I'm in love all right!

I completely agree with @HanaMaui-- this is my same experience with Scandalous. It's a sweet "hug me a while and that's it" kind of smell. Nothing truly scandalous. But it's nice. The first time I tried it, at the urging of the VS sales associate, my reaction was "Meh, I don't think so, why are you getting all worked up about this fragrance? Please don't follow me." Two weeks later, I decided to try it again. I left the store and waited to see how the scent unfolded--into sweet, fruity, milky, praline goodness...and headed back to the store the next day to get the whole gift set! The set has a candle and room/pillow spray as well, which are divine and much more sensuous smelling than the perfume. I'm not sure why the difference in smell on me in just a couple weeks. I attribute it to subtle skin change I suppose.

Wow... this was a big surprise to me! I got a 50ml bottle as a souvenir but reviews made me buy a 7ml bottle for myself to try it out since I liked VS dark angel and VS intense too. It's so hard to love and not a safe blind buy! Can go so wrong so I decided not to give it yet. Comparing to intense and dark angel this is even riskier and why so bitter? VS intesne is super salty-sweet VS Dark angel is bitter Vs scandalous SCREAMS BITTER! They have similar vibe but thus is a mysterious risky one I would put on top of my shelf! It raise my heartbeat I love it. My siblings said it smells awful or even weird, She said this is the worst VS fragrance I've bought... But I'm in love... I don't know what to do with that 50ml bottle probably gonna keep it since I don't think anyone can love it the way I do.

To me the strongest notes of raspberry and praline are very reminiscent of chocolate covered strawberries. These long scent notes accompanied by creamy liquor [smells like Baileys :)] and powdered florals - I get the peony and rose, maybe magnolia? The chocolate dipped fruit, booze and romantic flowers definitely gives me a mental picture, that makes Scandalous live up to it's inspiration. Scandalous has become one of my favourite cold-weather perfumes as its warming and cozy, although I wear it in warmer weather too - just not as often as I reach for it over the autumn and winter months. A 'come closer' scent. The only downside for me is the longevity; it lasts 4 to 5 hours on me, which is disappointing. It hasn't put me off recommending Scandalous, but is does lessen my enjoyment of it a bit.

This one was a pleasant surprise for me as I bought it online without smelling it first (very rare for me to do, but did so as part of a promo event). Wow, this one is very nice! The body mist bottle I got was defective, though, so the perfume actually leaked out all over my fingers and I was mad about that until I smelled the scent, LOL! I have to say that it is very delicious on my skin with a lovely melding of all the notes. I can pick up the raspberry and praline most strongly while the peony note only comes in much later on the dry down and isn't strong at all on me, thankfully as peonies and my skin don't seem to like one another too well. I don't find this scent scandalous in anyway, but it sure is sexy! :)

I love this perfume soo much! This is my favorite of the VS fragrances and yesterday as I went to pick up a 100ml back up bottle I was told that scandalous is being discontinued. I am so so sad about this news!!! This perfume is amazing. Its sweet, its nutty, its milky and its boozy. Its light enough to wear every single day and not become tired of it...On my skin it lasts a long time but it always stays VERY close to the skin. I wore it yesterday and the next morning I can still smell it in my hair! I am going to be hoarding another couple bottles of this I think. The SA did say it will be back during the semi annual sales, but who knows for how long!

One of my favorite fragrances at the moment! I was so excited for this fragrance, I plan on wearing it all winter. The combination of the raspberry and praline, with the floral peony make for a decandent cold weather scent. I feel sexy and a little naughty wearing it ;). Only a few things I would change....1. I wish it lasted a little longer. and 2. while the bottle is absolutely beautiful, I'm not a fan of puff atomizers, as I've had one leak in the past and I feel like they spray weakly, but we'll see how this one works out. Overall loooovvveee Scandalous!

I had this fragrance over 10 years ago and recently found an older bottle with the original pump. Unfortunately, I feel like the formula has changed over time and the newer bottles don’t feel the same quality-wise. This one smells amazing to me though — I get a rich raspberry note with praline, and it smells absolutely delicious. I’ve been trying to collect more of the older Victoria’s Secret fragrances because they’ve always been my favourites. I now have a small collection building and I’m really happy to have this one back again — it’s a beautiful gem.

This is very special. It's opulent and fruity. Reminds me of Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy but a much more opulent and wearable version. For some reason it's spicy and reminds me of chai. New favorite. Update: it smelled creamy and spicy in the store and thought it would be my favorite, but when I bought the atomizer and sprayed it on me, it wasn't wearable :( it smelled like strong synthetic grape. Maybe the rollerball is different. Had the same synthetic grape experience with Tresor Midnight Rose.

Call me basic. From VS, it was among their most "unusual" fragrances at the time. I've lost it since (was taken from me at the door at a club years ago), so I can't speak to specifics on notes or performance. What I can say, is that it was sweet and dark. Absolute men magnet. And I don't mean boys, like many VS, I mean actual men. And they enjoyed this more than any designer frag. Glad they brought it back, it's on back order, but I'm eager to get a new bottle and will update on performance.

Raspberry over praline. Delicious, subtle, girlie fragrance. And yes, kinda nutty. If you like fruity gourmands, give this a try. One spritz of the EDP lasts well on me. Getting the sprayer to work is a bit tricky when you go to use it the first time -- have them show you at the store, maybe using their demo? The body mist is true to scent, a bit lighter, and the sprayer is easy to use.

So I was on holiday on Mykonos and I went to the V.S. store there trying to find a cool and sexy fragrance. I loved this one at first spray and although I tried all the other perfumes in that shop I bought this one and I haven't regretted it. It is a perfume with style and it is not easily forgotten. It is fresh and youthful! On me it smells amazing and it lasts 5 hours or more.
