Vanilla Lace ---Tip 2 all: luckily not Resting in Peace (friggin Vic Secrets) thanks 4 NDA New Direction Aromotics I can't believe i never found this 2 review as this is my ABSOLUTE fav gourmand scent and I have a funny story about it below. It's a signature and top 3 fav 4 sure. I honestly would b in therapy had I not found a true DEAD ON dupe from a company called NDA, so I make my own perfume and body lotions and their product is just as lasting as well. This scent is a TRUE pure food grade vanilla, unlike most vanillas that lean artificial smelling. It is reminiscent of hot chocolate made with a premium true vanilla bean. All smell like real food components. There is vanilla, chocolate, alcohol and I guess musk is the other note I detect but is hidden from my recognition... I do love musk if it's light and more of a soul mate 2 vanilla (like in Skin Musk) vs a straight nose punch like many manly musky offerings. So I guess I'm not too surprised musk is detected in here although my brain/nose can't place it there per se. The perfume and the lotion was super strong, all enveloping and comforting as is vanilla and the smell of cocoa. The bath spray was not as strong and more alcohol smelling. It will announce that either u've been there or u're coming...yes it's THAT strong. I used 2 work with a girl who wore it and I knew of her presence if this was in the air even if she wasn't around 4 a long time. It was heavenly so I asked her what it was and 1rst reply was "I don't know" #$%^ ...? What, u don't KNOW what U r wearing? "I don't remember". How foolish and petty. It's not like i needed 2 wear it there at work...I could smell it on her but so what if I did...if u like the smell y not want 2 smell more of it? I did not relent. At some point in the future I tried again. This time she lied and told me it was BBW's Vanilla Bean Noel and it not being Xmas season, I couldn't get my mits on it 2 rule it out. Finally, when Christmas came I was gifted some only 2 know she LIED yet again. On my quest I went studying, researching...found Hanae Mori as many said it smelled like hot chocolat and they were right, 4 the lotion, but it still wasn't it... Flash forward a few years later, I am leaving a store and suddenly my nose is kissed with the glorious scent I knew and loved but couldn't name... so I stopped this kind stranger 2 inquire and share the story. She easily and happily told me what it was... Vanilla Lace by VS! I immediately went and bought all I could. I still have some bottles 2 this day as when they had their seasonal sales... i bought it up. My soul would truly b destroyed if I didn't have my NDA dupe 2 continue 2 smell amazing and feel comforted with just a spray or 2. Moral of the story... if u like a smell of a scent...DON'T HIDE IT--let the world smell like u want it 2! Also if u love it so much, the more ppl that buy it, the more it will stay in demand and ergo on the shelves 2 b ABLE 2 buy! Oh, and Melissa, if u're reading this... I hope u see my note on how u can get a good dupe. Nope not even hiding it from u... 4 those that love this scent, I highly recommend the insanely affordable Al Rehab Chocomusk, of which again I smell NO musk but a more vanilla chocolate heaven scent concoction that well fits the bill of being gourmand and comforting. It most resembles Vanilla Lace and a true vanilla that anything I have found (except NDA's fragrance oil which is a dead on dupe 4 Vanilla Lace). It’s very much like a straight vanilla extract! Somehow I’ve still never smelled anything quite like it, even after all of these years of being a vanilla and gourmand lover! It’s also still managed to keep its place among my most loved fragrances, probably always will! I’ve owned this stunning fragrance for over 15 years, and still love it just as much as I always have! I bought this in the mist and body butter along with both in Coconut Passion (which had just come out), and still own both in the mists. For me it has a nostalgic vibe, but in the best possible way! I should also mention that I am reviewing my OG version. I think it’s because of its simplicity that it’s so gorgeous. I also really enjoy how they didn’t add any fruity, or floral notes besides the one that reads as a delicate vanilla orchid. Adding any fruity or floral notes would have taken away from the delicious vanilla extract scent. There’s plenty of fragrances where complexity is beautiful, but this is one of the ones where you see the real beauty of simplicity. This is the gold standard for vanillas and gourmand fragrances! I honestly believe that Vanilla Lace and Pink Sugar had such a massive impact that they ended up influencing the current vanilla and gourmand trends! Whenever I bought Vanilla Lace the more translucent, clean and/or watery florals (think Coach Poppy, Coach Legacy, Marc Jacobs Mod Noir, JPG Classique X) were big at the time. However, Vanilla Lace was always popular, and so were others like Coconut Passion and Amber Romance. I saw more and more sweet gourmand scents growing from these over the years. As for Bare Vanilla, it’s pretty, but it doesn’t hold a candle to Vanilla Lace. It’s a much more woody and slightly spicy vanilla, and lacks the richness and depth that Vanilla Lace has. I get excellent performance with Vanilla Lace, especially considering that it’s a mist. The longevity is fantastic, it lasts throughout the entire day on me. The projection is strong as it radiates out several feet from me. This made it an excellent value as it still outperforms some of my perfumes. I actually think it’s one of the few fragrances that’s worth paying the higher prices for now because of how incredible it smells, and how amazingly it performs. A few of my other favorites from VS from around that time include Dream Angels Heavenly Stardust, Dream Angels Forever, Seduction Dark Orchid, Tease Temptation, and Coconut Passion. Gorgeous, Sweet, warm, feminine, sensual, seductive, powdery, delicate, musky, elegant, addictive, enchanting, whimsical, charming, cozy, comforting, nostalgic This is THE vanilla! Nothing has ever truly compared to it. Vanilla Lace really does somehow seem to just have everything so many of us are looking for in a vanilla fragrance, yet it’s still somehow a rather simple and straightforward vanilla. Its simplicity is probably what makes it so unique and appealing to so many of us. There’s the sensual golden warmth from the amber, the soft musk, the powdery orchid, and of course the star at the center of this gorgeous fragrance, the sweet, warm, creamy, rich, cozy, and comforting vanilla. The notes are balanced so well and seem to be just right. It’s such an easy reach and really works for pretty much any occasion and any season. You really just can’t go wrong with this gem! I get excellent performance with Vanilla Lace, especially considering that it’s a body mist. The longevity is great, it lasts the entire day on me. The projection is really good too, it radiates out at least a few feet from me. This performs more like most perfumes do compared to how body mists perform, especially now. It truly just amazes me! Don't get your hopes up. Sadly, there is no way the recent release (2025) is anything like the original Vanilla Lace! On the VS website these are the notes for the new formulation: Top: Vanilla Orchid, Café Au Lait Heart: Pink Hydrangea, Muguet Petals Base: Creamy Vanilla, Sandalwood Without smelling it, just reading the notes it's clear they have changed our beloved! It might be good, or even similar, but there's zero chance that it is the same! 💔 New notes like Pink Hydrangea, Muguet Petals, and Café Au Lait... Nope. There wasn't ever anything that resembled coffee in the mix before. It was never a floral heavy scent, with only a touch of orchid, being the exception. Orchid was actually in the notes of the original formula. The notes on the box of the now vintage EDT version were "vanilla, orchid, amber, and musk." I found a photo... But, now there's three different floral notes listed. Seriously? It was first and foremost vanilla! Almost all vanilla. A rich custard, gourmand pudding like vanilla! It was strong, especially the lotion. Their lotions were so much thicker than they are now back in the day. I hope this is lovely, but the lotion will be thin and runny. All of their lotions are these days in comparison. And, without a doubt the notes are definitely different. Others have mentioned the mist is lighter and smells like plastic. Don't mess with us Victoria's Secret! Why would you put out a brand new fragrance, but give it the same name, change the notes, and make it a lot thinner and lighter? Still, claiming it's from the archives! 😡 Are you really trying to pass it off as THE ONE we all miss so much, and have been begging to have back? Did you think we wouldn't know better? Signature scents worn for years are not easily forgotten! Pulling our heartstrings, playing on our nostalgia, how obnoxious!

Recently found my old bottle of this, from way back in 2012~ish. I remember all the cool, popular, pretty girls had these VS body mists, and they would show them off and spray them all over the girls locker room and compare them to each others. I was desperate to have one of my own. When I finally got this one I felt so proud to show it off at school- it might've been the first time I felt like I could be one of them... Well, I never really managed to fit in with the popular girls, and I didn't even really love the scent of this back then (it had an alcoholic note that I found overwhelming). So, the bottle remained mostly untouched and eventually forgotten. Until now! I thankfully have matured and learned that not only is "fitting in" a lost cause, it is also very boring. I guess my tastes in scents have also matured, because wow! Admittedly it is a juvenile scent, and unsurprisingly heavy on the vanilla. The alcoholic note that deterred me at age 10 is what draws me in now, it smells vaguely of rum. It's a warm, strong, somewhat masculine (I would argue, although my idea of masculinity may be skewed), intense vanilla scent. Like liqueur filled chocolates, in a way. At least for the initial sprays, then it quickly settles on the skin as a much less complex, but equally lovely, vanilla-musk combination. Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long, but that's understandable for a body mist (especially one that's stood untouched for about 12 years). I've been enjoying this old-new addition to my shelf. I like to layer it with fruitier or muskier scents, it works very well as a base. Also, I adore the bottle (I have one of those old triangular ones), it makes me so nostalgic <3

I purchased the new version off Mercari, and my heart is broken. I should have listened to all of you, but curiosity killed the cat. It smells like the old version for about 30 seconds, then fades into plasticky chemical.. and then nothing. Shame TF on me. What is this? I feel so betrayed. PUT IT BACK! This feels like the beginning of the end for our beloved. Every time VS or BBW does a limited time throwback, they dilute it and make it unrecognizable. WTF. Like, what the actual fuck? Do not buy this. You’ll want to throw it in the trash and crash out. I want to sell it, but I’d feel bad passing this abomination on to anyone. I wonder if they do exchanges. I’d rather have a bottle of Amber Romance. They changed that one too, but anything is better than this. I can’t even use it for layering. You can’t smell anything! What a betrayal. I swear VS is deleting bad reviews or something because everyone on their website is praising it. This had only two notes, sometimes three, and now they added all these random notes. Cafe Au Lait? This never had a coffee note. Muguet Petals? They're trying to make it sound like something way better than this cheap water. The OG was musk, vanilla, and sometimes vanilla orchid or orchid. My air freshener is stronger. Everything just falls flat rather quickly. The old one was a rich vanilla bomb and you could smell the person wearing as they walked by. So rich that it almost smelled like a hot cocoa and vanilla rum. Would be so nice to find the old version without spending at least 300 bucks. I almost got one on market place last year but then it fell through. She was selling for like 10.

Oh, Vanilla Lace...we have such a history. In 1994 my sister asked for a bottle of the lotion for Christmas. My mom and I went to VS and I picked up Freesia from the "Garden" line and my mom bought my sister Vanilla Lace. I smelled it after my sister opened it and had never smelled a vanilla fragrance quite like it. It was 94. Vanilla fragrances were not on my radar and it would be a few months that Vanilla Fantasy entered my life and my friend Susie got Vanilla Fields that Christmas from her boyfriend Mike. All I knew was Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean which I hated at the time. How very very silly and misguided of me and The Body Shop. It was delicious, sexy, pudding like. I wore my sister's lotion from time to time, but was obsessed with Freesia and Peach Hyacinth. In 1999 I bet, painfully, on a bottle of the lotion on a new site called Ebay. I kept losing but persevered. When I got it I just couldn't get enough of the classic Vanilla goodness. Yeah, it was yellow at the time, stained a bit, but loved it. By 2002 it had been brought back. I was working daycare and around Christmas was laying down with a massive migraine from hell. I smelled this incredibly soothing, familiar, gourmand Vanilla. Just perfect for the holidays. Got rid of my headache, my coworker was wearing it. Unfortunately Victoria Secret has, yup, discontinued it again! Replaced with the less divine Bare Vanilla (in my opinion). Luckily one can still find dupe oils of Vanilla Lace, thank God. No butter notes, no cake frosting or cake itself, just a pudding like, musky, sexy Vanilla.

I cannot express how much I LOVE this fragrance. I have never smelled another vanilla like it. I used to wear this all throughout middle school and high school, and I still like years and years later. People close to me literally identify me as smelling like vanilla because of this scent. It's just THAT good. It is quite honestly the biggest tragedy that Victoria's Secret got rid of this one because it's far superior to the cashmere and vanilla smell that is Bare Vanilla. It's a beautiful vanilla and musk scent. The vanilla is very much a vanilla extract kind of vanilla. It's so sweet and musky and delicious and I cannot get enough of it. It's simple, yet I've never smelled anything close to it. I know many people compare it to Body Fantasies Vanilla, but I own both and would say they are not dupes. They have similarities, but BF is more powdery and smoky smelling than Vanilla Lace. I've tried to find a vanilla perfume similar to it, but have failed. There is just no other vanilla like it. As much as I adore and love this scent, I will say it's pretty much ruined any other vanilla perfumes or body sprays for me because I'm always comparing it to this and it never measures up. No vanillas have that same vanilla extract and musk smell. No vanillas measure up to this for me, and thus I will continue to mourn my loss and smell all the vanillas in hopes that I may one day smell something as great as this.

Vanilla Lace originally came out in the mid-90s, but the bottle was redesigned in the 2000s. I wore the lotion daily in my late teens and as a young adult. The lotion was actually the strongest form of the fragrance. The mist provided an extra boost on my clothes and in my hair. The combination of the lotion and spray filled the room with a rich creamy vanilla pudding scent. People would always say I smelled like a bakery, cake, cookies, or ice cream. One friend told me that my house always smelled like doughnuts. It was my lotion! Vanilla Lace is responsible for many of us becoming addicted to vanilla gourmands! Bare Vanilla is nice, but it doesn't come close, it doesn't project the way Vanilla Lace did! This was my first LOVE! The fragrance that no other vanilla has been able to live up to. I have searched high and low. I've tried so many, designer and niche, even paying hundreds for plain linear vanillas. Some of them are great, but not the same. So far none of them compare! How sad. How hard is it to make a creamy long lasting simple vanilla with good projection, sillage, and longevity? Come on! We just want a delicious and true nothing but vanilla that is noticeable and won't vanish in two hours! Give her back to us, just as she was! Both the lotion and the mist. Even better, bring it back as a decadent vanilla Eau de Parfum. Pleeeeeaaasssseeee!! 🥺

I absolutely love this scent. I wore it for the first time in the early 90's, so every time I spray it on it takes me back. To me it smells like vanilla pudding! I only wear the vintage stuff, preferably the body spray. I've never tried the newer version, but since reviews say it's changed I'm just not interested (though I may test one if I'm ever in a VS). You can find knock-off body oils and perfume oils on amazon and at The Fragrance Shop (I just ordered some, we'll see if it matches!). I currently have 6 bottles of original body spray, 3 body lotions, and 2 original perfumes (they may be a tiny bit "off"), so I'm hoping I can just layer until I'm no longer able to replenish the spray and lotion. I'm a vanilla addict, so if I ever had a year-round signature/layering fragrance, this is it! EDIT: The good news is that Body Fantasies Vanilla Body Spray is an exact dupe for the body spray of Vanilla Lace. The bad news is that I have so much of the original now that I'll probably never use it up! Also, The Fragrance Shop's oil of Vanilla Lace is a dup as well. Ah, well...

I've never smelled the original but I tried the rerelease today and i really love it, such a perfect simple light vanilla extract scent. It's like a a more refined and sophisticated yet uncomplicated vanilla cupcake and it's almost smoky to my perception but in a soft subtle way. However with the new (2024) mist I can only smell it with my nose an inch from my skin (literally, even with 10 sprays, and I'm not one to spray anything more than once). So I love the scent but it's not worth buying the new formula. If you've got money burning a hole in your wallet you can buy Tihota and at least you'll be able to smell that one and it's somewhat similar. Update: I bought the lotion and mist because I couldn't stop thinking about the scent. The lotion is stronger (although not very strong) and projects more than the mist. People aren't exaggerating when they say the mist is a waste of time. Fwiw my husband, who never compliments fragrances, says this scent smells "really good." And I honestly think it smells better than Tihota which was my previous all-time favorite vanilla.

Such a gorgeous, warm, gourmand, amber vanilla! I got this back in like 2005 as a teenager and I still love it to this day! I’m so thankful that I still have some! I used to wear this all the time along with Coconut Passion and Amber Romance! I do have Bare Vanilla which I love, but Vanilla Lace will always be THAT vanilla! Back in high school so many girls wore it, or they wore Amber Romance or Love Spell. No matter how much I smelled it I never tired of it. I really don’t understand why it was discontinued. I hate that it sells for ridiculously high prices now. Unfortunately, I don’t get to wear it very often anymore because I don’t want to run out. I would definitely wear it more often if it was readily available! I am a huge vanilla and gourmand fan, so just for reference some of my other favorites are Kayali Vanilla 28, Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere, Burberry Goddess, Nest Golden Nectar, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, VS Tease Creme Cloud, and VS Tease Candy Noir.

I am picky about vanilla scents, not too cakey and not too spicy/musty. Vanilla lace is just amazing. First spray is a thick sweet vanilla syrup that coffee shops use, sticky and intoxicating. Settles down quickly to a warm smoky earthy vanilla. The musk in this is smokey instead of soapy (campfire smoke not cigarette). I tell myself its not summer appropriate but I find myself reaching for it almost every day. On its own it's nice, lightly warm and smoky but paired with fruity lotions the musk falls away and it just adds a sweet creaminess. I spray it behind my ear/in my hair and I can still smell it the next morning. I feel sorry for those that say this smells plasticy, it smells so good to me. No one besides my husband has committed on it which I prefer,I dont want my scent to be loud and obnoxious. My 2yr old son makes me spray a little on his shirt if he sees me putting it on which makes it all the more special to me.

This was my signature fragrance as a freshman 6 years ago. I was so sad when they discontinued it. Best vanilla ever created, doesn't compare to any other vanilla fragrances out here. It's just unique. Sweet but not cloying, nauseating or anything. Most complimented fragrance I had. A head-turner, and I quote: "smells like vanilla sugar in here" (a girl said this as I walked past her on the hall), "hey, who brought doughnuts in here?" (a colleague said this after i sprayed myself once or twice in classroom). This is what I remember now, and almost everyone who was standing near me said I smelled so good. I tried all these years to find a vanilla fragrance to resemble it, but to no avail. Two weeks ago I saw a girl selled this body mist on Vinted, and I immediately purchased it, no second thought. It arrived today and I can't tell you how happy and grateful I am to be able to wear this fragrance once again.

as a girl who HATED vanilla perfume, this frarance sweeped me off my feet. 3 months ago, i went into Victoria's Secret with my best friend and we decided to smell their fantasies collection. I saw Vanilla Lace and thought "ugh another vanilla smell, might as well see if it's any good". YUP. IT WAS VERYY GOOD. I could NOT stop smelling it off my wrist and when me and my friend left and got back home hours later, i still smelled it! It reminded of creamy vanilla icecream. after that, i lusted after this fragrance and begged my mother to get it for me, being the unemployed teen i am haha. I faced many rejections. Today, my mom an I went to the mall, and guess what was on sale? Yup, the fantasies collection! 5 bucks for any of the fantasy products. i'm now here on my computer happily writing my review on the new Vanilla Lace fragrance and lotion. I am ecsatic to call this my new signature. P.S. thanks mom <3

As a child, I bought this in a little glass bottle at a yard sale, and I used to spray my dolls with it. It was the best thing I ever smelled at the time. I can still remember it vividly! I was so sad when it ran out, and now it's extremely overpriced online. It's just the most lovely powdery, musky, angelic vanilla. This is the definitive VS angel scent to me. It's got a vintage cosmetic kind of smell to it, which I love, and always made me feel like someone's beautiful rich grandmother. But it's also very versatile, I can see this perfoming beautifully on women of all ages. To this day, I still consider it the gold standard of what I want a vanilla fragrance to be. On a side note, it does not smell like Warm Vanilla Sugar, Bare Vanilla, or Gilded Vanilla. Or the Billie Eilish perfume. I wish there was a good dupe. The closest thing to me, oddly, is Body Fantasies Signature Vanilla.

I am SO glad Victoria's Secret relaunched this fragrance as a part of their VS Archives lineup. This is, hands-down, the BEST vanilla body mist I've ever tried to date. I've smelled a plethora of vanilla fragrances -- ranging as simple and inexpensive as BBW's Warm Vanilla Sugar to higher-end fragrances like Kayali 28. Still, none have come close to being as excellent as Vanilla Lace. There is something so sweet, simple, and nostalgic about this body mist. It's not offensive at all, its scent being light as air -- just like the whipped cream on top of an ice cream sundae. Its fresh yet cozy scent profile makes it suitable for everyday wear. I could honestly see myself wearing this in any season without it feeling cloying or displeasing. It's only a shame that this seems to be limited edition. I highly recommend this to all of my fellow gourmand lovers -- you won't be disappointed!

Review based on my strong memories of the original version I used everyday from 2004-2008. I loved this so much. It worked on its own as well as paired with other perfumes. I got so many compliments at the time. Not overpowering, not exaggerated, not even sensual. Very simple, neutral, quiet, humble, stable, cool, but sweet and comforting – as pure vanilla is. I don't even consider it that much gourmand, it was like the vanilla whole bean you had in the kitchen as you cut it in a wooden board, before it turned into something edible. I also remember the notes sustained themselves all the way through its longevity, which was cool. I bumped into the new version they are selling in 2025 and it is indeed similar at first, but perhaps the new version is a little more gourmand. No idea how it develops though, haven't properly used it.

Vanilla Lace, along with Amber Romance and Pear Glacé, was one of my go-to scents as a teenager, so it carries a lot of nostalgia for me. Even now, it stands out among many vanilla fragrances because it feels softer, smoother, and more refined than the typical overly sweet vanilla. It blends creamy vanilla with subtle floral notes, giving it a cozy yet polished feel that's comforting without being childish. I used to mix Vanilla Lace with Amber Romance & that was my signature year-round scent for years & years. I smelled so sexy & it used to drive my ex-hubby absolutely mad for me. I constantly received compliments from random people about how amazing I smelled & it was my own (Victoria’s) secret formula. And then, as usual, they butchered my favorite perfumes and reformulated both the Vanilla Lace and the Amber Romance fragrances back in 2017. My heart shattered into a million pieces when I found out they were being discontinued and I remember driving around to all the malls & buying up the last of every single bottle I could find. I ended up with a stock pile that lasted about two years. But I shed a few tears the day I sprayed the last spritz of my lovely perfumes.

Can't believe this scent is back, it's like a dream come true. Can't wait for it to arrive. UPDATE: Utter disappointment. Smells the same as back in the days, but the lasting power on skin is a joke. On hair and clothes it’s decent, but still not as strong as before... As many of the people have stated below, don't get your hopes up. From what I noticed on their official website, there are only positive reviews on this fragrance, but most of the reviews have a lot of dislikes, so this makes me think they delete the negative reviews, which is not ok at all (it's just a presumption). UPDATE 2.0.: couldn't bring myself to resell it. Saw a local DM brought Vaseline and bought it. The scent stays on so much longer after I put Vaseline on my skin first.

Of all the scents VS has... this is my favorite... i even spray it to my pillow before sleeping... all Victoria Secret scents are beautiful if only people will PROPERLY wear them... please don't wear this when it's hot and you'll sweat... this may be a light fragrance but it lasts given at least 4 hours and having it mixed with the heat and sweat just ruins the scent... please wear it in the evening... the advantage of any VS scent is you can use it for layering..when you have a perfume and you want to come up with something different, you can spray any of their scents along with your chosen scent and create a unique and unidentified scent... it blends well despite most VS scents are very straightforward without any scent changes...

This is my ultimate comfort fragrance, I absolutely love it! It smells like vanilla pod, musk and hint of powdery amber floral that does NOT smell like something you'd eat. This is not a little girl vanilla that is so sugary that it hurts your teeth to smell it, this is a truly warm and sexy vanilla. Men love this on me! When it first came out I was in high school and everyone seemed to have a bottle. Now that the trends have shifted I don't smell it on others anymore and I've started buying it again.. I don't really wear this as a perfume and prefer to use it like an intimate blanket before bed or when I'm hanging around the house. It's instantly comforting to me and I love it..

got my hands on this the other day and LOOOOOVE It ! it is a warm sweet musky vanilla delight! It smells like vanilla cupcake. I ended up getting two body mist, the lotion, the shower gel and the cream along with the body cream lotion all for 30 bucks, it was so worth it. I don't normally go for body sprays because they suck at lasting power but this one holds pretty good! I wish I could find an actual edt of this so I wouldn't have to spray so much body spray but still this is one of the best vanilla scents out there along with fancy by jessica simpson. I mixed the two and bam! wonderful smell. This is the only scent I buy from victoria secret and I hope it sticks around!

This used to be my signature smell for years. (I had the body mist) I remember I saw a post on Instagram when I was 17 that said "you'll be irresistible with this smell" and when I was 18 I finally bought it. And I wore it for about 4 years then I finally got sick of it haha. It's warm vanilla with a hint of musk. I must say the scent fades away pretty quickly but the smell of vanilla still lingers on your clothes all day. I remember my ex had told me he went home one day after we had hung out and his dad asked why he smells like vanilla and if he was with me lol. My ex also really liked the smell. But there's not any layers to it so I finally decided to let it go.

I found an EXACT dupe of this scent by AQC fragrances called warm vanilla (it even mimics the original bottle design) you can find it at Primor stores in Spain for 2.99. I used to wear the VS Vanilla lace everyday in school and I can safely say I still love it. It is the best straight up vanilla scent there is. This is a great scent for when you want something light, sweet and inoffensive and this one is so straightforward vanilla that you will not smell like a child. Lasting power is crap but honestly its so cheap it doesn't really matter. This is a forever favorite of mine and of course my husband loves it too.

This was the scent that got me into perfume in the first place. Vanilla Lace is what my mother wore for the majority of my childhood, and it took me a long time to find something that I liked as much. So many Vanillas are a let down, but Vanilla Lace will always be a classic. Feminine, sweet, musky and sexy, this lasts for days when sprayed on clothes. The notes are simple, yes, but well executed. I wish Vanilla Lace hadn't been discontinued, because none of VS perfumes or body sprays match up. It is very hard to find a bottle that isn't just alcohol now.

My favourite scent ever and I am so sad it has been discontinued. This has been my signature scent since 2016 and I am now almost out of my final bottle. It is the most beautiful vanilla scent with no tobacco note underlying it, and the longevity of it is amazing. It is like a big cosy hug - after spraying it, it settles down into a comforting scent that makes you want to curl up by a fireplace on a rainy day with a good book. The vanilla is just as alluring as it is comforting, which makes it the perfect addition to a date night.

I have the body lotion. I don't know if it's any different from the spray. I usually can't stand any sort of vanilla fragrance whether it's perfume, scented candles, air freshener, etc. But there is something magical about this one. Again I only use the body lotion and only in cold weather: the vanilla scent is light and sweet rather than artificial, cloying and sickening like most vanillas smell to me. The musk really isn't detectable, but it may be what moderates the sweetness of the vanilla enough so that it isn't nauseating.

Vanilla Lace, back in the day, was one of those fragrances that smelled spectacular if you were a smoker. It was magical like Obsession, Giorgio, and a few others that blossomed with the smell of tobacco. I still have a vintage bottle from the 90's and it still smells fabulous. The newer versions from a few years back are still as good but there is something missing. It lacks longevity for sure. But the aura is the same. Will always be a classic. The new Bare Vanilla doesn't compare at all (to me). Happy summer everyone!

I remember my mom having the fragrance in a body powder in the 90s and I was THRILLED to be able to find this body spray online during the sale last week! I bought it hoping it wouldn't disappoint me (a lot of "classic" scents being brought back by certain brands lately are incredibly watered down or have a different formula) and it absolutely didn't!!! Smells exactly the way that I remember it. Very very good. Not too sweet and just a bit sexy. The gold standard of vanillas for me.

This is legit the most incredible and true vanilla ever, and no other notes. Like vanilla and cream, and a bit of powdery sugar , better than bare vanilla !! Sadly, the new (2025) vanilla lace lacks in sillage and longevity, it's lasting ONLY few minutes and I hate that. So much potential, and they ruined it by creating a super weak version. No remorse because the scent is bomb, but still disappointing on this side, I can only enjoy it as a bed scent.

Victoria Secret is pretty new to me! but I bought this for the va vanilla in, and the little one can smell the store so I thought about it.I bought the body mist and body lotion. but I think body lotion is better and it is really in all day, I can promise, was surprised! warm vanilla and musk, at first I thought it eh heavy on the nose, but now I've gotten used to it, so now it smells good all day, and it would go away a little, I take the body mist

I have not tried the new version, however, if it is the same as the original I am very excited that Vanilla Lace has returned. I can not believe they ever discontinued it, and if I remember correctly, at one point many years back it had been discontinued before. I love Vanilla Lace, it is my favorite every day scent. I always get a lot of compliments when I wear it, much more so that any other fragrance I have ever worn, including upscale perfumes.

I am in love with this! Who could knew that the perfect marshmallow/ice cream vanilla was in this bottle all along! I have spent so much money on different gourmand scents just to find a perfect mix of marshmallow/vanilla/powdery scent but nothing compares to this. It really does smell like some expensive perfume and not a simple body mist from VS! Bonus point that no one's in my country wear this anymore so it makes it more unique!

This was (and maybe still is) THE VANILLA scent to beat!!! Radiating, yet never overwhleming. Always sublime on it's own & a fabulous layering piece in any scent wardrobe. Also lasted an incredible amount of time for the pricepoint. Next closest I've found, is another rather reasonably priced (but not always easy to find version) Madagascar Vanilla from Bath & Body Works. Easily wearable anytime of year and anytime day or night!

Oh man, I used to wear this every day and night. I was an over sprayer in my teens and I would leave a sweet vanilla trail wherever I went... to the point that a man in a hotel asked me what I was wearing. Too bad I wore this during difficult times because now this scent (or anything that smells strongly of vanilla, really) gives me a sense of uneasiness. I finished my last bottle of this years ago and never repurchased again.

Vanilla extract perfection. Perfect for layering. I rarely wear this by itself because people find it odd when someone smells like straight up vanilla. Still I sometimes do it because this is perfect. Not a day goes by that I don’t hate VS for discontinuing this. Body fantasies has a strange flowery note in the opening and isn’t as rich. I also cannot say Tihota is a “dupe” since it is more expensive than my car

This has to be the same as their Vanille Caramel from long, long ago..side by side I find them indistinguishable. An old boyfriend used to say I smelled like oatmeal cookies when I wore it, and the same holds true for the Vanilla Lace..it's very much a bakery-vanilla, with the musk adding a spice note. As a vanilla fan, I love it as a body spray, but if you hate vanilla, you're gonna have a bad time with this.

This is one of my favourite vanillas ever in its OLD formulation (I am left with the last back up bottle). The (barely) scented water in the archive collection 2025 is a shame and cannot even compare. For those looking for a perfume concentration of the old formulation, I found a good dupe at Shobi Perfumery in Greece. So good in fact that I also ordered the dry body oil. I am in a happy vanilla cloud now :)

I got this today and I am wondering how I have never heard about it before! I am a huge fan of vanilla scents and sweet scents and this has to be one of my favorites!! =) I can still smell it so for a body splash that's good! It is very warm and cozy and reminds me of fluffy blankets and sugar cookies, yet it is sophisticated as well! Don't know how vs did it but 10/10 from me! I will definitely repurchase.

Don't get me wrong I love Bare Vanilla but this was wayyy better, smells powdery vanilla extract not half as sickly. Was gutted that it was discontinued vanilla body fantasies isn't an exact dupe it smells like vanilla vodka and play doh until it dries, Vanilla Nice from W7 is a much more accurate dupe it's just slightly more alcoholic until it dries and doesn't last as long but for £4 it's amazing!! 🍦🍰🎂💛✨

This is probably the best vanilla I have, this isn't too sweet. It's like an aquatic vanilla with a bit of musk in it. I wish the sillage and logetivity was better but what can i expect more from a VS mist. Do they have an edp of this? The initial spray is vanilla musk but the drydown is musk with a but of sweetness but definitely musk and sort of powdery. This is really great.

Very pretty vanilla that will have you smelling like a cookie or cupcake, if you like vanilla this is a safe blind buy and you can layer with many perfumes. A dupe for this would be the Body Fantasies Signature Vanilla. This smells like straight up vanilla i dont get any other notes other than that, depending on your nose and skin you can smell like marshmallow, cookies, etc.

Ohhh how I LOVED this fragrance. This was one of my first VS sprays, I wore this so much during high school and loved it. To me, this is pure vanilla extract with some musk thrown in there. It’s so simple and so beautiful and feels so light and airy and almost fresh in a way. It’s not sickly sweet or cloying either. I would LOVE for this to come back permanently.

(This review is for the Vanilla Lace body mist from Archives Collection 2025) I don’t know how the original one smelled like so I cannot compare but for me this is so good as I love both vanilla and musk. A safe buy, it just smells vanilla and musk, nothing more. Plusss musk makes vanilla extremely overpowering, feminine, and amazing!!

This scent is so nostalgic to me. It’s the fragrance that introduced my obsession with vanilla. So light and fresh but also warm and cosy. Remember feeling like a freshly baked and iced cupcake, over spraying it in the classroom and school changing rooms when I was younger in school. It used to be such a flex to wear these.

Very warm and seductive. I love it! It's one of the few perfumes from VS that doesn't smell like a bowl of fruit! If you get tired of the intesive vanilla scent, you can easily mix it with some other scent, Pure Daydream is a good example. When you mix those two scents it's like cherries and vanilla which is amazing! :)

I highly recommend checking out Etsy for a dupe for Vanilla Lace! Lots of small businesses have replicated this discontinued gem and they got pretty close so please don't hesitate to purchase. As pinkfiarygumdrop has stated below me, LOVEUMEANIT makes a really good one which I personally enjoy so go check them out :)

This scent was my first love. Around 2013, this was my signature scent and I smelled like cupcakes everyday. The new version doesn't compare at all. It's reminiscent, but fades in about 5s to rubbing alcohol. If you want to relive it, Vanilla & Pearls from somethinspecial on Etsy is about as close as you can get.
