Swiss Unlimited

Have you ever thought about visiting the mountain regions of Switzerland? What if I told you that you can do that without having to leave your House? That's right! In 2009, Victorinox released Swiss Unlimited, which is a delicious fragrance, little commented around here, in Brazil (as most of the perfumes of the House), but very well made. The official composition (which is not disclosed with clarity), says that the fragrance has notes of bergamot, cassis, mint and Génépi liqueur (obtained through the distillation of Absinthe flower on a basis of vodka or pure grain alcohol), in the head. Then, a heart of aromatic wormwood, lavender and a touch of cinnamon. In the base, notes of musk, patchouli, amber and silver fir. The result is woody, aromatic and alcoholic. This is a completely distinct scent, which has soft evolution, keeping its woody and seductive nuances for all the time. It seems that you climbed a trail for hours, inside a dense forest full of humid pines and, when got to the top, you inspired that fresh air, entering the nostrils coldly, while your body still exudes warmth. It's wonderful! The output is quite strong, but after about 15 minutes becomes stable and calm. For those who enjoy woody scents, this is more than indicated. In addition, the aroma of the fir is not so hard and uncomfortable (for many) like the pine. And the aromatic side of the wormwood confers a unique signature to this creation. In comparisons made by other users, it seems it has similarities with He Wood Rock Mountain and Porsche Design The Essence. I don't remember any of them, but I know that both have pepper and incense, notes that do not exist in Swiss Unlimited. Finally, the bottle (that comes inside of a rubber armor) is made to be unbreakable and still has the advantage of being rechargeable, with a refill that is usually cheaper. It brings a carabiner and a modern and retractable lid, giving a touch of technology to the product, which features the traditional red color of the brand. With Swiss Unlimited, the City changes: the asphalt turns into Earth and gravel, the buildings turn into old trees and the air becomes pure.

Swiss Unlimited is the most underrated fragrance available... This fragrance is green (really green) and outdoorsy fresh. Swiss Unlimited is taking a walk up Water Rock Knob, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, in mid-October listening to leaves making their journey to the ground after a colorful season or smelling a fireplace in the distance, cutting the morning chill and warming the people inside a mountain cabin. It is the sensation of selecting the family’s own Christmas tree on a crisp late November morning, just before Thanksgiving, in a field outside Cashiers (NC) where a light snow has just fallen – then enjoying a cup of your favorite java at the local shop at the crossroads of highways 107 and 64. And if you close your eyes, you can reminisce of Spring at the Biltmore House and taking in the smell of blooming azaleas and hearing the buzz of bees getting an early start on the nectar. When Summer finally arrives, Swiss Unlimited are those early morning walks on the South Carolina coast, watching the sun rise and holding the hand of someone special. Swiss Unlimited is truly a beautiful fragrance that can be worn during any season and to any event. Performance is excellent, lasting all day with great projection. This fragrance is a crowd pleaser – every time I have worn Swiss Unlimited, I have received favorable comments. The real beauty is the price – great fragrance without breaking the bank. On a personal note, Swiss Unlimited is the first fragrance my girlfriend purchased for me. It was not an anniversary, birthday, nor Christmas present – it was – just because..!! That is the way she is and one of the many reasons I love her... Final tally for Swiss Unlimited is 4.7 stars out of 5 stars. Great smelling fragrance that is versatile and modestly priced. Definitely recommend adding to any collection – I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Absinthe, Thujone, Cassis and Fir tree. Amazing stuff 10/10. Imagine pouring some Absinthe, Stroh or Jagermeister while trekking thru a pine forest in the alps or in Patagonia. It is a very unique scent and I know nothing quite similar to it, perhaps because of the heavy use of the Genepi liqueur in it. I wear it on similar occasions to Lalique's L'insoumis, which it's the closest I can compare it to, although Montblanc individuel has similarities. The longevity and projection are beast mode. It is discontinued now and hard to get, but recently they released a perfume named "Genepi", of which I cannot say is it the same product renamed, a reformulation or a totally different scent. Victorinox has given me nothing but duds before (Rock, Steel) but this one is a kind of magic and hence it will be forever my signature scent.

I love this fragrance , very underrated and cheap , this is one of the rare fragrances which perform better and smell better on my skin compared to on my cloths .Its green , woody and unique ,I never smelled it on any one , the company also have great customer care , when you purchase this fragrance there is a code which you can send to them to receive a travel rubber spray which will allow you to reapply , you can use this travel rubber sprays for other fragrances as well .A must try .

great perfume. At first it's a bit minty and fresh like a cucumber. Its scent pervades everywhere I am. Drying is very soapy, cucumbers are breathtakingly fresh. i didnt feel alcohol or similiar. I don't have anything like it in my collection. It will be one of the best in my collection. 10/10

Fragrantica, please, where are the Swiss Unlimited Snowpower, Swiss Unlimited Snowflower, Swiss Army Forest, and Swiss Army Classic Icon?

some kind of absinth scent... green fairy !!

I stumbled across this yesterday in the biggest souvenir shop in Interlaken. The only notes listed on the note breakdown were Genepi (a Swiss alpine flower used to make Schnapps), Absinthe, and Silver Fir. The packaging and formulation are not the same as listed above, and the name has been changed to Genepi.. It is a bit boozy, coniferous, and slightly green herbal aroma. The opening is really nice which persists for about 2-3 hours. However after 4-5 hours it is just a skin scent and the coniferous notes are gone. It might do better in warmer weather. And I only had it on the test paper, not my own skin. If you can find it for a bargain price it would be a good, versatile fragrance that would make you stand out as the unique one. No one in the crowd is wearing anything like this. It smells like the real swiss mountains to me. And I have been hiking in them for the last 14 years.

I guess they changed the name to Genepi. It smells like it looks, very green and fresh. Doesn't really perform that well in cold weather, I wore it to the gym and as soon as I started sweating, the projection was through the roof, it was embarrassingly strong. I cannot wait to wear this in the summer. The fragrance is clean with lots herbs, soapy and a bit boozey, smells a bit familiar except absinthe gives it a very unique, almost mysterious vibe. Not my favorite scent, but I just love the color of the juice, I've been spraying myself with it every 2 hours. It's a beautiful scent.

This smells like Mont Blanc Presence but spicier! This is very Green and woodsy like you were in a National Park here in the US. I here it smells like the forests in Switzerland but I haven't been there to say so. I would also say that this has a little bit of a Bvlgari Man Wood Essence similarity and both are Green woody spicy fragrances. There is some liquor notes in here as well and they fit in very well. They add some bold character to this fragrance. I recommend this one if you want something your friends don't wear and you have a budget. It's a great cheapie!

I remember being 11 years old and getting a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife under the Christmas tree... Inside the box there was a sample of this perfume. I couldn't get my nose off of it. Somehow I remembered of it 15 years later and I got myself a bottle off eBay. Such nostalgia. It's a clean, masculine scent. The freshness of mint and lavender hit immediately and the musk and patchouli settle in on the skin. It's a very delicate and subtle scent, likely due to the bottle being 17 years old. It's a clean, masculine, inoffensive scent, perfect for indoor situations.

This is one smells like a forest. For those who want something masculine minus the usual citrus spice formula . As for notes I am not sure but imagine standing in a grove of trees,nothing specific like pine or cypress. Just trees leaves and mountain air. The bottle is rubber and suited for mountain climbing and travel.not that anybody would pack this on a long hump up a mountain. A little like CK eternity summer14

I really like this cologne, Hard to find it. Opens with really green notes, after two hours it becomes sweet. It has really nice longevity and protection. Sillage is really good. I put on me 5 sprays and The person next to me was saying; Smells good but too heavy. So you don't want to over spray this one. I loved this one, Very nice summer scent.

Got it for $25CAD at a Winner's or Marshall's. Great at that price. I find it to be something like L'eau d'issey with the citrus removed. Smells very fresh like you used 5 dryer sheets by accident, smells woody like warm conifers.

Swiss Unlimited is a solid everyday fragrance. It's fresh and clean with a nice woody base that makes it feel sophisticated but not overwhelming. The mint and bergamot in the opening are really invigorating.

I like it. Very green and fresh. Easy to wear. For a man that likes outdoors. Almost all seasons.

After the cool down, I smell like a dryer sheet. I like it!

A sport and soft Montblanc Individuel version.

Blind buy worthy. Refreshing stuff. But keep in mind it is on the synthetic side. Cold cucumbers and sweet-ish absinthe. A very subdued menthol in the passenger seat. Underrated cheap gem for your summer rotation. 7.4/10

This review is for it's counterpart Snow power. Have you been strolling Ross or any other discount store and notice Snow power for 9.99 for a 1.0 oz? Have you ever wondered what it smelt like and thought if it was a worthy purchase? Let me answer it for you YES. Snow power is Swiss army's little brother that has been hiding in the shadows. He has been rejected thrown aside and mistreated. Well I am standing up for this big guy and wanting to tell the community that this is a great fragrance for a great price and if you come across it buy it. Why? Because it has great longevity. I get at least 8 hrs sometimes 10. It is a projection monster. I sprayed this on at 7:00 am and got a compliment at 2:00 pm and she was a couple of feet away from me. What does it smell like? It smells like Burberry's the beat got into a arm wrestling match with Terre De Hermes and Hermes won. I detect it's a little bit of both but leans more to hermes for its strength and longevity but it's different enough from these two to have it's own identity. You have to understand the beat and Hermes are not my favorite fragrances but I like Snow power because for the price you can not beat it and the pepper in snow power is done right with a hint of citrus at the top that make it interesting. If you see this and Like The beat or Hermes give this guy out a try I don't think you will be disappointed.

I'm amazed by all the knee jerk negative reactions to this fragrance. When my husband wears this, I always grab him and start sniffing him. When I first smell this, I get a distinctly nutty aroma which then morphs into something rich and creamy and complex. By the end of the day, it's such a compliment to him that I really look forward to curling up together. I detest cheap fragrances, and this has none of that for me. Quite a refreshing change from most of the junk you find nowadays. We've compared this to about half a dozen of his vintage fragrances, and while this is a different bird than vintage, of course, there's only one that ranks up there with this. He has to wear suits frequently, and I love it when he wears this with his suits... This is a smell that made me smile upon first whiff (was a surprise sample!). Tip: A little bit goes a very long way.

Surprisingly clowing, considering what I was expecting from it. Perhaps clowing in the same way Nautica Voyage is. Requires good caution when you are going to spray it. The scent calms down a little bit some minutes after, but is still strong, and not that pleasant to smell close to skin. It is fresh and maybe is the Fir what gives that bright green tone to the scent that feels a little weird. Anyway, I own Altitude and Mountain Water, both fresh, linear and safe scents, and not that kind of teenager scents I read here a lot. Swiss unlimited is very different, and risked too. Scary at first, slowly I ́m going back to it, as well as for the other two above, but still is hard to like it. I own the 30ml/1.0Fl.OZ bottle, and I see a care for all the details, which is nice.

Iman Amishe, You are sooo wrong about Individuel (released in 2003)being a copy of Original Santal (released in 2005) That the rest of you story about Creed and Tom Ford, is just a snobish idea, about expensive being better. And the moral obligation of the so called better houses and copycats:Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. is just a copy of 4711 eau de Cologne. And that is the NP Parfum version. Take that for a copycat. I just wonder how much Creed's and Tom Ford's succes is in fact based upon pure quality, rather than price exclusivity, which will always attract the upper class and the wannabes. The fact is, that Tom Ford Neroli Portofino for example, has the scent of a world famous cheap cologne, but also performs just as poor for 20 time the price.

It opens with a strong boozy liquor blast that fades into a raspberry and herbal licorice note, which I assume are the cassis and absinthe after reading the notes. There are a bunch of different green herbal notes that are pretty sharp and a slight citrus and berry hard candy note that sweetens it up. It eventually turns into a fuzzy fir and musky dryer sheet smell. It's almost as if you were taking a walk through some raspberry bushes, wearing fresh dried clothes and just took a swig of an herbal licorice liquor. It's an original fragrance for sure and is pretty complex but it's a powerful fragrance and not my cup of tea.

Smells like MB individuel x Jean Paul Gaultier Le male. Leans more towards individuel, maybe sliiightly darker. Soapy like detergant. You will love this if you also love MB individuel, original santal and maybe even le male. Strong Bergamot and Mint the first few minutes. Lavender, cinnamon and amber are always present. During the drydown the Bergamot and Mint vanish and it surprisingly got greener on my skin. I don't get any liquor and absinth though. Also it lacks personality imo compared to MB individuel. It's also not as sophisticated as MB individuel. I'd prefer MB individuel over this any time.

On paper this comes across initially as a brisk citrus fragrance with floral green notes and a hint of aromatic woods. On skin it belches harshly (and immediately) into an assault of detergent-grade soap essences, a flat, bland, awkward accord with little note separation and a terribly vague sweetness that I cannot identify. I do get the reference to Individuel and can understand why this would be called a "sport" version, but definitely prefer Bourdon's scent. While no fan of the personal fragrance, I think Unlimited would probably make a good functional fragrance, perhaps as a home spray or candle.

This fragrance is a quintessence!! I am a woman, I appreciate masculine fragrances but this one is very especial to me. I use it frequently and I feel more than comfortable, it brings me a sense of pureness and happiness. The original idea for unlimited is to reproduce the smell of the Alpes, and it gets to the point. A unique freshness made of artemisia, aquatic mint, lavender, fir, and unmistakable juniper; this note is not described but it certainly makes the difference. No other fragrance makes me feel so luminous than this one. So I decided to elect it my signature fragrance.

This is really nice, at least somewhat unique and with excellent balance. The few other Victorinox scents I've tried were always too "chemical" or became that way after a while (as in 125 Year's far drydown), but this is quite pleasant/natural smelling, and I can see how some would view this as a light green/anisic version of Individuel. I wore Individuel the other day, actually, but I prefer this one to it, since it's rather unique and I also find it more pleasant. So, at least I can happily swap off my Individuel bottle now!

Fragrantica needs to add Snowpower!!! I really enjoy snowpower, actually more then unlimited. I smelled unlimited at Kohls of all places! There was something sickening about this scent that I couldn't wear...too bad because I really wanted to like this cologne. Snowpower on the other hand is a great scent. I get sort of a vetiver, cedar, and pine feeling but with a bright citrus. I have never read an official note break down so I am just guessing and going off what i think i smell.

I received a sample of this and was about to send it with my husband to work so he could give it to someone there (since it is a man's scent and my husband doesn't wear scents) when I thought "let's just give a squirt, see how it smells." Mmmmm ... yummy. I tried it on myself and it is just delightful - I love the fresh and crisp scent - not overpowering and no lime like is usually in men's scents. I think I'll get this for myself ...

This fragrance starts out with a very creamy citrus accord. I was expecting a very outdoorsy type. After about an hour, the green notes did come out and the fir notes were noticed. Not a very woodsy fragrance as one would imagine but a good fragrance overall. A good day fragrance. It was nice to test out but not impressive enough for me to run out to buy it. I would buy it more for the bottle then for the scent.

Just received a sample in the mail today. Right off the bat I noticed it smells very soapy. Asked my sister to smell it and she immediately said it reminded her of laundry detergent or dryer sheets. Smells nice, but not at all what I expected. Then again, this is just a sample card.

Dios no entiendo como pudieron lanzar este perfume, si bien su botella es llamativa el perfume en sí es malo, no lo recomendaria, se supone que es amaderado pero senti un olor tan extraño que no quiero volver a sentir nunca màs. Su duración en mí es de unas 5 horas. Muy mediocre.

This is magically delicious on my man. It is a masculine scent with actually a slightly sweet composition to it, but it smells SO good. It smells like a REAL man, like someone who could just walk in and sweep you right off your feet. Long lasting too.

I agree. I get the citrus at the top and did not find it very woodsy. Certainly works as an every day sort of cologne. Tried on three differnet occasions and found it pleasant. Interesting bottle (was expecting a Swiss Army knife in there)!

I wasn't exactly a fan of green scents, but this has given me a new perspective. Victorinox is just as green as it is fresh. Easy to reach for on a day to day basis, as it is likeable, clean and very refreshing.

I dont care what most off these so called pros are saying,this is a very complex and great smelling fragrance,its a change from that all woody musky dark men colonges and is delightly more laid back and inviting

Very heavy scent a little goes a long way don't understand those saying here that it is light with low sillage. This one make you smell like pine tar.

Smells like jagermeister to me - yuck!
