125th & Bloom

it's a love at first sight and a scent that i'll gatekeep. i simply can't resist and had to smell this every time i visited the store, and finally made the purchase on my birthday after smelling it for almost 1 year+! i love wearing them in the evening to special events or put it on sometimes when i feel extra fancy.

I love this Fragrance so much. I’m glad fragrantica finally added it to the list so I can have it in my shelves. This one is long lasting and powerful, you only need a couple of sprays and it'll last through a full work day (6-8hrs). It is perfection. Scent 10/10 Longevity 8/10 Sillage 8/10

High quality if rose and leather, very strong but not disturbing... luxury

I recently tried a sample of Vilhelm 125th & Bloom and to me, it feels exquisitely crafted. The leather note is soft and refined, seamlessly uplifted by delicate floral nuances, almost like satin gliding across the skin. I’m puzzled by the criticism this fragrance receives; perhaps some expect other overtly feminine florals or gourmand releases by Vilhelm such as Mango Skin, Moon Carnival, Sparkling Jo or Room Service, which clearly isn’t its intention. This is a truly gender-neutral composition and it evokes memories of other scents I own, though I can’t pinpoint exactly which. It shares subtle similarities with fragrances like Nishane Nefs, The Different Company Oud for Love, Swiss Arabian Shumukh Al Ghutra or JV Dark Rebel Rider - all of which feature that leather, saffron and rose interplay. Those who appreciate this trio or enjoy Middle Eastern-inspired leather creations will find this captivating. It’s definitely not suited for daytime or warm weather office wear. Instead, it shines in evening settings: think elegant dinners or high-profile business events. I can easily imagine confident CEOs or affluent Sheikhs wearing this with pride.

First blast of sweet dusty florals; quite difficult to discern which ones actually, it's blended so well. It's floral but something more than floral too... lovely! Oops, the drydown does get faint whiffs of whiteboard markers but only fleetingly. I feel that's the rose, sharp and a tad artificial. Otherwise it's a lovely and charming scent, no real depth or weight to it despite the leather and woods. No lasting power on my skin either. Feminine and would work in all weather, if you can get it to last.

The opening is harsh but once it settles down, it's beautiful, this to me its more similar to Eau Capitale, the solid version. It’s a rose around woods, leather, and a bed of flowers. It’s versatile, comes with this thing that I describe as “uplift casualness” because it’s suitable for any occasion. Nothing better than this walking down Upper East Side by Central Park during spring it's a vibe by its own.

To me, this is a much heavier version of Irish Leather by Memo Paris. I prefer Irish Leather, but this is also lovely.

Strong leather (and wood?) in the opening. Then a shampoo, cosmetic, sweet violet starts blooming on top of the leather. I've never smelled a fragrant violet before so I can't say if this is realistic or not. For me, it's just, "eh". More suitable for the cool weather, though performance is ok. I picture a well put together femme in a leather coat, red lipstick, and dark sunglasses on a gloomy fall day. EDIT: Ok everything softens and blends in the dry down as a slight spice emerges. Quite lovely. Obviously, a beautiful dry down doesn't justify an "eh" mid. It kind of reminds me of Civet from Zoologist.

I got a sample of this and it’s okay. Leans kind of dusty, like a dusty leather briefcase. The dusty leather scent overwhelms the florals. Definitely more masculine but can be unisex.

on paper this has notes i love so i expected to love it by transitive property, but sometimes a fragrance is less than the sum of its parts. i think the angelica is what's throwing me off - this scent opens herbal and smoky, almost vetiver-like, and that's all i get, plus some caraway-like anisic facets and heaps of leather. the rose eventually warms up enough to bloom on my skin, but it's too little too late; just a slight sheen of polish over a woody base. and i barely get any whiffs of violet, which i was looking forward to, given the classic leather/violets combo. deadly nightshade by alkemia is a scent that pulls off those two notes a lot better in my opinion. maybe it's my skin chemistry at the moment, but 125th & bloom feels too sour, too smoky, too messy. will have to revisit it sometime in the future to see if my thoughts change.

got this fragrance as a sample in a recent purchase. it smells like fancy dirt to me. the initial smell is literally dirt. but as the other notes come through, it smells just fancier but still like dirt. it is such a weird scent to me but its not horrible?

All I can smell is heavy woods and leather. Where’s the violet?

Never been a fan of leather, so my review is biased. I only tested this because I got my hands on a sample. Leather is typically so overwhelming for me it’s all I smell and this is no exception. It reminds me of leather seats in a new car, TF’s Ombre Leather, and oud. I find TF Ombre Leather to be more nuanced than this one. This is a smokey leather bomb which overtakes everything else that is supposed to be in it.

I liked this at first but then I started to hate That Chemical. The various chemical cousins known as "super-ambers" for some reason (they don't smell like amber.) It's not a listed note here, but it's definitely in there. Most of the perfumes with those in them don't list them as notes, they are supposed to just help the other notes with longevity and projection. Oh boy do they have longevity.

I blind bought this at an insanely cheap price. I then discovered why ... it’s funeral flowers in a bottle. Worst part is it lasted forever. Now on some it might smell great and normally florals smell amazing on me but not this one oh Lordy nooo!

I was gifted this and it wasn't until I looked on here I found out it's unisex. Like a lot or recent unisex releases this one gives me the petrol smell, sharp and strong. Kinda pleasant but not super feminine...this one leans more masculine. I was wearing a thick woollen jumper the first day I wore this and while sillage and longevity are excellent the strong gasoline vibes means I would not purchase this once I run out. In saying that, the next day I picked up my woollen jumper from the back of a chair and the 24 hour dry down on this is sensational and other worldly, it's just a shame it took a day to get to this sweet spot of perfection.

Reminds me of a soapy powdery oud, quite sharp to the nose but I don’t mind it. However I can’t see myself buying a full bottle. Something about it feels very reminiscent of another fragrance but I can’t put my nose on which one. Maybe Chanel’s Mademoiselle? OR Diors Oud Ispahan? Update: this is a bloody powerhouse! I sprayed 1 spray from a tester on my wrist, then tried to scrub it off with a wet towel (an hour later) and the scent is still so strong. I love the sillage & longevity. Although because it’s a screechy fragrance to my nose it’s not one I’d like to overspray (and I’m a big over sprayer)

extremely strong and dark scent— i liked it at first because of the leather but later through out the day i started noticing a pungent smell—not my favorite
