Red Velvet Saloon

A well blended perfume that doesn’t smell like gardenias (a scent that is hard to replicate in perfume), instead I smell roses, specifically red roses in the dressing room of a cabaret. This feels like a classic, retro French perfume and I’m here for it. I get about two hours of bliss before turning to a skin scent. What it lacks in staying power....it makes up in powder, and lots of it! I don’t understand the low votes on this one, but I suspect younger generations might label it an “old lady” perfume. For what it’s worth, I am an older woman and I like this perfume. A bit on the sweet side due to honey, vanilla and tonka singing chorus in the background. But it’s foremost a powdery rose, musk scent. Red Velvet Saloon is the perfect name, and this scent reminds me of others, but nothing specific. If you get a chance, sample it for yourself and don’t trust the low vote here. Bravo Villa Erbatium!

I LOVE this because it smells exactly like my grandmother’s old house. Red Velvet Saloon brings me back to those summer nights in her dusty upstairs rooms. The carved wood paneling would warm up and give off a soft, woody scent, and she always tried to cover her heavy smoking with floral room sprays. Warm, dry, slightly sweet with gentle florals, and a hint of wood in the background. Not a fresh floral and not super synthetic either, its powdered and slightly vintage. So sad I can't make it last on my skin longer than an hour.

This is sooo good.. And my wife thinks it smells sexy on me too so that's a big bonus :) This'll be my go to date night fragrance for sure!

This scent immediately reminded me of a shampoo, and it’s a shampoo that I purchased from Lucky Scent years ago, “Antica Barbieria Colla Shampoo Uovo E Rum”, which is egg & rum. No, it does not smell like egg at all, it is very pleasant and left my hair shinny and smelling great all day long. I also tried the Almond version but this fragrance smells like the egg and rum one. This scent isn’t a shampoo fragrance per se, so don’t let that sway you, but that shampoo had an amazing scent that lingered all day long. Now I feel like it’s a cliche that it referenced a salon. 😶🌫️
