Blind Buy King Review #5: Eterno by Vince Cemuto reminds you of your celebrity crush on TV when she whips her hair and then stares into your soul. Pupils dilate, all systems locked. I will die for this. Eterno is a scent worth fighting for. Your very soul longs to feel the way this singular scent makes you feel. The fine leather wrapping. The perfectly weighted cap pops off the bottle. The beautiful atomiser pulls you into Narnia. Mr Tumnus, smoking a pipe with a necklace of mint leaves and bergamot slices adorning his neck, beckons you forth. You kneel, and he appoints you with your manhood. "You, child, I have chosen to captivate the lasses of thy world."I start to cry. Saffron and patchouli caress my soul. I open my eyes only to find out it is neither saffron nor patchouli, but the finest woman of a rich and diverse background, wrapping her arms around me, running her hands through my hair. "Your scent brought me hither", she whispers into my ear, her slight accent sending a tingle down the spine. I secretly shed a tear and thank God for His guidance in my blind buying. She compliments my sillage, telling me it's like no other man's. Perhaps I am in heaven already, I think to myself. I then open my eyes to realise I am in my college dorm room, shirt discarded, who knows when or how, sweating, muscles bulging. I take my bottle of LV Imagination and hurl it out the window, the piece of garbage that it is. A must for anybody looking to add some class to their collections. 9/10.

Fantastic fragrance that may disappoint some. My experience with Camuto Eterno (and Solare) prior to it is that you have to apply liberally. The usual routine of a few sprays results in VERY short life span on skin. But apply this liberally and you'll get very good performance. It has the interesting effect of seeming to disappear from your skin, but after a while the warm, sensual, and cozy character comes out. It just radiates a very pleasant smell. Some have compared it to Prada amber, and that is not a bad comparison, although one must clarify that it's the feel and vibe, not so much the smell. Again, that's only after you get to the dry down and it starts coming back to life. found it very affordable at Marshall's, so I'd say it's worth picking up. Very safe for work because it doesn't scream at you. Even if you spray a lot, by the time you get to work it will be down to the dry down. I sprayed on chest, both sides of neck, back of my neck and on my undershirt. 7 hours later I'm smelling it while I type away. So spray on and enjoy, you fragrance junky!

This is what Givenchy Play Sport should have been! This has the Play DNA - that same woody cedar/vetiver/citrus accord that is the backbone of both Play and Play Intense, but it is brightened up and smoothed out in a wonderful way. A very nice opening of freshly peeled mandarin oranges and a hint of mint, along with an already present (and everpresent) creamy/powdery fougere accord that lasts the life of the scent. The citrus fades to the background and that Play-esque woodiness comes to the fore, but what sets this apart from Play and Play Intense is the aforementioned sweet and creamy, somewhat (barely) powdery fougere accord which lasts the life of the fragrance. Imagine a mix between say Play and Penhaligon's Sartorial - Eterno is something like that. Longevity is good and projection is on the soft side of moderate, which is what you want for a frag like this as it's a great workhorse/daily frag. I've not been blown away by any of the other Camuto scents (Solare was nice, though) but this one is very very good.

Saffron BOMB! Sweet, smooth, creamy saffron with a woody finish. Very light and inoffensive, and yet strong enough to feel luxurious. Opulent. This is the perfect scent for days when your nose just needs a break from all the harsh notes you usually wear. While this is strong and long lasting enough that you will smell it all day, it's also light enough that you could get away with wearing it to an office that doesn't allow you to wear cologne. If you're looking for a quiet, formal, high quality, suit and tie or interview scent? This is it. This is BY FAR my favorite from the Vince Camuto line! It would easily make a great all-occasion signature scent for the man who likes to smell nice without being noticed for his scent, but instead, whose scent is remembered by those who engaged him in close conversation. Move over, Dolce & Gabbana The One - you've been replaced. :) I much prefer this over the more popular Prada Amber.

So I wore this fragrance to work today and got 4 really nice compliments.. one of my coworkers told me to write it down so she could get it for her fiance.. one lady said I smell like every man should.. So first off, the presentation of this fragrance is really nice.. a leather like material wraps the bottle and cap of this classy looking bottle.. looks good in my collection.. As TONY has said this is a saffron bomb!! but I also get a strong mint in the opening.. The saffron and bourbon pepper is a nice combo in the middle although the saffron takes over.. there is a woody essence to this fragrance but I see it more of a floral spicy not a woody spicy .. Very comparable to Prada pour homme Overall this is an excellent smelling fragrance.. maybe too mature for someone in high school/college.. but great for guys who are 30+.. All weather all occasion fragrance I’m glad I have this one in my collection:) 8.3/10

★★★★ (4 / 5 stars) Sleeper hit of 2016. TonyClean is spot on. Not many men's fragrances do saffron, and fewer still blend it as masterfully as this Vince Camuto release. I was skeptical before testing it. Very skeptical. All the previous Vince Camuto releases were fine - 6 out of 10 nothing mind blowing releases. They all hit the bargain bins pretty quickly. Each and every one of them smelling nearly identical to a hundred other men's fragrances. Eterno is special. The overwhelming positive reviews below are my feelings as well. It blends elements of fresh, creamy, ozonic, feminine and masculine so well. It's that dance of notes that shows care was put into its construction. When sampling it, pay close attention to the distinct notes. There is a lot going on. 7 hours on skin with the frst 3 projecting. Not beast mode but acceptable. Feels luxurious. Expensive. Highly recommended.

This review will be almost identical to mine for Eau Sauvage - an exceptional summer scent that I can't resist using despite it's lack of powerhouse performance. Like many light, warm-weather scents it suffers this sad fate, but I still find it irresistible - so much so that I paid full price for it rather than play the waiting game. Do you have to apply it heavily to get any projection? Yes. Does said projection rely on a helping hand from your own body heat. Yes. Despite all this, I can't stay away from it. This and Eau Sauvage are my favorite two warm-weather scents. Does anyone else smell an unmistakable honey note on the drydown? I can only imagine that this is in fact the saffron, but I don't ever smell it until the drydown so I kind of doubt it - perhaps it's the saffron-cedar accord, with the woody notes muted by the citrus through the opening?

OK, I have only had this on for about 6 hours, but I am really impressed with it for a designer fragrance! The opening for some reason reminds me of something from Le Labo. It drys down to something very pleasant and safe, but is missing the horrid cheap notes that I find present in so many designer frags of late (Sauvage, BdC, etc.). It's a bit like taking the best parts of Mont Blanc Legend and Eros, adding some class and blending everything very nicely. I think I like it better than the original Vince Camuto as it has more character. Like I said this is just my first wearing, but out of the 4 new frags I tried today this one impressed me the most.

After wearing my sample of this some more I made another realization that should have been obvious - it definitely shares some similarities with Prada Amber Pour Homme. It has that same sweetness that is somewhere between milky and powdery. I believe it is Nirvanolide musk. Where it differs from Prada Amber is that the base of this goes more into a mineral/cedar/patchouli direction instead of the vetiver/myrrh/suede of Prada Amber. This is also a bit more casual than Prada Amber PH. It's like a cross of Givenchy Play and Prada Amber with regards to overall smell and degree of casualness/formality. A stellar work scent that can be dressed up or down.

This smells alot like Chanel Allure Extreme up front with a good dose of herbal green leaf in the background. The creamy lemon smell is about 30% less obvious than in Chanel, but the resulting smell is so very similar up top. However, this juice cost about $25-30 dollars. Its way better than Chanel for cost. I will use this for quick gym excursions over Chanel for cost. ** I sprayed some on a test strip and let it dry down and it has a much more prominent sage/herb smell in the background that my skin does not illicit at all. Very interesting. Very nice smell....

For some reason, when I first tested this on my skin at the shops, it projected for about 30 min, & after 2 hours it was gone.. But it smelt so good, I still went back and bought it.. After bringing it home & storing it in my wine cooler for 24 hours ( where I store all my colognes ) I gave it a full test today, I now get 2 hours projection & after that it settled, & lasted another 6 hours on my skin ( the last 2-3 hours being a skin scent ) So for me on my skin, a total of 8 hours + a great smell Happy days..

Haven't touched or sprayed this in maybe 3 years because i thought it was basic and boring...boy was I wrong. Like some reviews here, I really thought this was boring and not worth wearing. I picked it up this morning and sprayed it on the top of my hand was wow'd by how underrated this is. It's simple, powdery soft, relaxing, and musky. This is what bedtime relaxation smells like; this is what a chill Sunday afternoon smells like. Don't sleep on this one.

This is a terrific offering from Camuto. I've tried almost all from this line but this is by far the most unique. The main note combo of Saffron and Mint is something different that you don't find too often in fragrances. It comes across fresh but has depth bc of the Cedar and Pepper. I like to wear this when I don't feeling spending too much time perusing my large collection. If looking for a safe bet from VC go this route.

The image that comes to my mind is the lobby of a hotel casino on the Strip. I live in Las Vegas... that being said I don't mean it in a bad way. I get tobacco and leather with a subtle sweetness, I love it when my husband wears this.

Fresh and clean! Straight out of the shower this scent can open up a young mans life. While not the fragrance I SWEAR by, vince camuto eterno has a grip on me that other scents don't. Very pleasant all around.

One of my favorite cheapies. I love it. 9/10 scent performance is good enough for me.

BRIGHT FRESH CLEAN AIRY MUSKY WOODY CREAMY starts off alcohol blast needs minute or two to settle, opens really clean like fresh laundered whites similar to Karen Low Blanc(white); as it dries slight mint, citrus & peppery-wood(cedar) comes in playing a supporting role resembling TdH Eau Tres Fraiche (just not as citric), when it fully dries you also get some slight patchouli along with cedar (adding some masculinity); very light notes except for the saffron (resembles clean white musk) and woods which are the main players, has a mild creaminess to it. Also similar to BR Linen Vetiver (but not as loud as Linen Vetiver) i see why it averages a 4/5 rating, very pleasant clean scent hard to dislike, smells expensive (at least in the air), unisex (not overly floral but women can definitely pull Eterno off due to the creamy light sweetness added); versatile, great for office/formal setting and/or gym; Projection/Sillage': MILD, not loud at all, decent arms length scent bubble for the 1st hour then remains an in-close scent. Performance/Longevity: GOOD, about 10+ hours (on fabric)

I neglected writing this review because this fragrance came off as something so specific that I couldn't put my finger on it until just recently...ready? A creamy, saffron-infused Chai Tea Latte. That is what this smells like to me, or at least the closest thing I can think to describe it as. I am not sure how one would wear this during the day in the summer, at least in Florida where I live. The scent feels heavy, if that makes sense. I did wear this out one night in July to run and get food, while the temps were still above 80 and the humidity was oppressive as well. The cashier behind the counter said I smelled good, so I suppose it could work then, and during the day if you don't live in a swamp like I do. I don't wear this a lot, but when I do, I like to savor it. It's definitely one of the more unique designer offerings I have and pales in comparison to the linear notes of Vince Camuto Homme, which almost bores me as much as Original Penguin Original Blend did. Give this one a chance. Given the right atmosphere, it can work wonders. 7/10

I only use this when I am layering it with other fragrances. Used to layer, in moderation, and in combination with the right other fragrance(s), it can bring another dimension and add a fresh/clean note. Here's the main thing I do with it that has solicited a number of compliments: First layer, a solid layer of Spirit for Men by Antonio Banderas. (I say "solid" because this stuff is weak in projection and in longevity.) Second layer, a dusting of Eterno by Vince Camuto. Third layer, a dusting of Animale for Men by Animale, along with a very light extra bit of Animale on the pulse points. I don't know why this works, but it does. It's a warm base of spicy oriental (Spirit), cooled off, cleaned up, and freshened up with that contrasting dusting of icy clean (Eterno), with an accent of green (Animale). (Hence, I call it "Eternal Spirit Animal.") All of these are very affordable colognes but their rightly layered combination makes for something special. The result is something familiarly masculine, yet unique.

How do they label this as Warm Spicy and Fresh Spicy? To me this is Floral/Soapy. In the beginning it smells like straight honey suckles, even though there's no honey suckle in it. As it dries down the floral qualities fade and it becomes more soapy. A Clean and fresh scent for sure. A spring time scent for sure (not that you can't wear it other seasons, but The scent is like a cool spring breeze). Check: over an hour in and the warm spicy notes are starting to come out quiet scent and it's what I'm currently looking for I'll be sticking with Eterno, but if you want something similar but louder with better performance go with hermes d'terre hermes, it's noted as citrusy and woodsy but the dry down is a more soapy clean, and has enough floral pelargonium in the mid to make it a similar scent Always test fragrances before you buy. The dry down on this one smells like beer that's been spilled and left over night, ruined my opinion of it, will not buy bc of the dry down.

Decent fragrance from Vince Camuto but this is only a decent (like) and not a love. This fragrance is pretty linear but it opens up with a flowery,soapy,but also slightly peppery smell that’s very unique to my nose. Once this dries down it’s a creamier smoother and less synthetic version of the opening. Even though this isn’t exactly my favorite scent I’m very happy to have this as it’s very unique,pleasant and inoffensive ! However,this loses points to me as it’s a little more feminine than I’d like and I wish it didn’t have as much pepper. Performance is average as it lasts 4-6 hours and has soft projection but actually pretty decent Sillage. Overall rating —6.75 out of 10 ! Decent scent with decent performance but this does get bonus points for being unique and affordable.

This has definitely grown on me from a "meh" pick in my collection to a "This is a star in the summer heat" It has the fresh/creamy vibe that works well. There is some spice mixed in, however, it's pretty subtle to my nose. As far as transitions, this is fairly simple from a bright opening to the creamy heart of the fragrance. I would recommend this for the office as it's a friendly, inviting scent that wouldn't offend anyone. Could you overspray this? IMO Yes, so I stay around 4-5 sprays and the longevity last through the workday. Sillage, on the other hand, is pretty close to the body as someone would either have to be in your space or maybe a walk by and they catch the aroma. 7.5/10 - Overall Rating

Fantastic and discrete spice masterpiece. It doesn’t shout but the delicate freshness stays with you all day. It’s very multifaceted throughout the day. It starts with a creamy, subtly sweet saffron that is slightly metallic from the mint. The peppery spice comes next accompanying the saffron that has surprising staying power. The woods and patchouli finish it off for hours to come. Medium sillage. Decent longevity of 7-8 hours. It never screams here I am but is a lovely companion for a reasonable amount of time. Works all seasons as far as I’m concerned. I get little to no citrus.

I’m completely enthralled by this one at the moment. Was not expecting to like this as much as I do. It’s totally unique to me. I don’t really have anything in my collection that smells like it. The opening is bright and sweet almost candy-like. It honestly smells like cream soda Dum-Dums. It transitions pretty quickly into something warm and soapy, high-end soap, that’s equally creamy and musky. I found the performance to be above average, albeit with some heavy spraying. I’m compelled to gatekeep this bad lad, but this is a hidden gem that deserves some attention.

The mint and saffron go really well together in this. This is a nice casual soapy smell type of fragrance and it's pleasant too. Not a powerhouse or a super mass appealing type of fragrance but a safer scent. Women will like this one on a man. This would be a good fragrance to have for a beginner and this would be a great scent for work. It smells "White" like the presentation. It also has a creamy aspect to it as well. I give this a 8.7/10

Pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of this fragrance. Not too loud & easy to wear in the office, without choking out anyone. The mint & citrus opening is fresh and into the drydown, the saffron & bourbon pepper give it just the right amount of spice; while the base of cedar & patchouli give it a smoky, sweet smell that lays close to the skin. Atleast in my miniscule opinion...lol

This is unique. The top is citrusy and fresh but in an Autumn way and not a warm weather sort of way. It is not linear; it goes through three distinct phases and ends up as a very creamy patchouli scent. There is something very unusual about it and I think it is probably the saffron. There is a sweetness that is not sugary. I think it is definitely best matched for Fall.

very interesting scent. Great for the office in the summer. At first smell, it strikes very different. It reminds me a little of CK Eternity. The dry down is a very unique sweet woody base. I don't think its going to blow you away, but its a decent performer. I think its sillage is very bad, it becomes a skin scent far too quickly. Its still a nice treat though

Smells fresh, light, but at the same time also feels powdery and creamy. Not sure where the creaminess comes from as I don't see anything like vanilla listed. And the first thing listed as top notes, citruses, I can detect it at all to the point that I thought there was no citrus in it at all. The scent is calming, I spray it before bed at night lol.

A nice fragrance. The citrus keeps it clean. The saffron makes it interesting. I also like the spicy addition of the pepper. An inoffensive offering by Vince Camuto. Average longevity. Good sillage.

Many mixed reviews about it on here. All I can say is do not pay retail for it. I got this at Burlington for $25 3.4oz. I like it but I hate the patchouli note.

Fresh opening with subtle woody and citrus hints, then it settles into a soft, warm base. Not trying too hard, just clean and easy to wear.

Not a Vince Camuto fan but at 50% off curiosity got me. The opening was a very pleasant surprise. Very fresh orange citrus and minty . It reminds me a bit of Boss Bottled Unlimited. But while that stays in a fresh fruity vibe Camuto gets warm fresh. The saffron really comes on and it turns into saffron,pepper and kind of powder. It smells clean but it would be much nicer if the opening lasted longer. Overall it's not a strong fragrance. You can spray it 6 or 7 times and won't fill a room after like 30 minutes. It's light and makes a decent daily fragrance. Very good office scent on my opinion. I have to give this a 5/10 , average. Good side of average . Anyone looking for a cheap minty fragrance should give this a shot. Definitely do not pay retail for this. I was able to get the 3.4oz for $14

The Scent Which Wasn ́t There. This actually smells nice and creamy, and a bit powdery. Bit sweet also fresh. Very nice overall. BUT. It is ridiculously weak. I put on three full sprays, and within 15 minutes ask my daughter what she thinks of it. In the car. Right next to her. And she still has to bury her nose in my neck to smell it. I drive 15 minutes, then ask my mother. Same effect. Digs her nose in my neck. Both ladies like it but what kind performance is this, in the first half hour no less? I will soon try five or more sprays and update this review but for now this is a well deserved Dislike.

Nice sweet open almost that gets a slight sour lemon dry down vine similar to that of allure homme sport. It has a prominent black pepper smell, which you can smell faintly in the allure homme sport dry down, but it’s amped up here. wife likes it a lot but it doesn’t really do much for me. It’s whatever. It’s pleasant. Got a tester for 30 bucks so why not. Nice spring AM or summer PM smell. Nothing mind blowing.

I cannot give a real opinion because the bottle i have had a broken atomizer and is old.... but I think it should smell nice, but my bottle dosent

This is just weird. Saffron and mint? Dry down is good but the opening is...interesting.

Nope! This cologne resembles one of my wife’s Victoria secret lotions or one of her scented candles she lights after using the toilet. Almost too sweet smelling for a guy but with enough hints of cedar and pepper to not entirely classify as a female perfume. This scent has no sillage and lasts only a few hours thankfully. If you’ve ever smelled Angel (A*Men) by Mugler this is a tad similar, it has a distinctive creamy, powdery, vanilla, and saffron smell that clogs up the nose. Thankfully I was allowed an exchange. Perfect for a butch or great for an older man who’s very in touch with his feminine side.

This fragrance, compared to the others I own, stinks. Like odor stink. It smells like wet printer paper rolled inside a can of Sprite that has gone flat. I tried to like it but it was too off for me, and I like strong vetiver and strong oud fragrances. To each his own.

Eterno is driven by a tandem of saffron and mint. The saffron is of the clean, creamy-white, semi-sweet variety and is perhaps supported by some kind of white musk that enhances these qualities while providing a bit of a fresh, ozonic edge to the overall feeling of the composition. The mint serves to balance the spices (aspects of the saffron and pepper) and lends a cooling, subtle greenness to the overall picture. You get a hint of mint in Eterno, and rather than the smell, it's almost as if it serves more of a function, creating this cooling subtly green aspect which balances things. I'm a huge fan of mint but I really enjoy how it's restrained here, allowing saffron to be the true star of the show. Accordingly, the saffron shines and smells fantastic. Its treatment here is how I like it--clean, fragrant, and just a touch on the sweet side. Either way, the saffron and mint are excellently paired and comprise the heart of the scent. They're flanked by subtle notes of pepper which, at certain times, are detectable and give it a bit of a spicy bite. The heart of the fragrance persists for the majority of Eterno's duration and when it fades into the base soft woods appear, cedar, and specifically patchouli, which has a very soft, earthy touch which is a nice way to finish things off. The base of tame woods is an appropriate way to conclude the scent and the heart fades effortlessly into it. Overall, Eterno is a quiet scent, but that's not to say that it doesn't have a substantial presence. It doesn't feel thin or incomplete in any way, it's just on the reserved side. And this is what I like about it. It's a very relaxed, and relaxing fragrance and can be worn easily and discreetly. It projects about a foot or foot and a half off the body at its peak and half a foot for the majority of the time that it's on. Longevity is about 6 hours. Eterno is often overlooked for the simple fact that it's a modest fragrance on the quiet side, and probably also because it's part of the otherwise unimpressive Camuto line (I haven't tried the newest, Smoked Oud yet). But it's a little gem that fills its niche well and is worthy of the praise it gets. It's pretty versatile climate wise and can be worn casually or formally, and for about $30--$35 for a big bottle online, it's being sold at a very fair price. Thumbs up and recommended for sampling. I've been enjoying this fragrance for more than a year now and consider it a solid 8 out of 10. *Final Note: The closest well-known scent to Eterno (as others have already mentioned) is Prada Amber Pour Homme. If you've smelled the Prada, you'll have some idea of how Eterno smells and comes across. Still, they're quite different and each should be assessed on their own.

I really like this juice. A lot. I get a Ferragamo F Free Time with white florals, a bit of Brooks Brother Gentleman, and hint of Aventus but creamy. Very unique. Very light so the white matches perfectly. I love the bottle look. If it were stronger I would love this fragrance. Still that's probably my only gripe with this one. I have not been disappointed with my VC buys. Not much to say that hasn't already been said. It's fresh, with a perfect pepper kick (and I don't like pepper) and very clean. Almost feminine, but in a good way. Not sweet so you can wear this in the office for sure. Daytime would be best imo. The citrus is there but not over powering. Nothing says cheap like a synthetic lemon wedge you've rubbed on your arm and neck. Spring summer juice for sure, I doubt it would even register in winter time. A white tee and blue jeans or shorts kind of smell. You could also dress it up in a button up for the office, pretty versatile. It smells fresh clean and smooth, with a masculine pop from the pepper. Can't go wrong in the summer with this guy. If your looking for safe go with VC Homme. This is it's older sophisticated brother on a day off. Overall.. amazing juice.

Writing this review for Enterno is like a cave man painting on a wall that will not be seen for 500 years, bc nobody is looking at Eterno What lead me to find Eterno was the note breakdown, it is almost a perfect match for armani mania but nope doesn't smell like it But similar in style to mania, simple, elegant, low projecting, elusive, addictive, seemingly generic but is its own scent Used 10 sprays with 2 on each side of the neck and it was not too strong. Eterno is light enough to jump right in the car after spraying and not bother anyone. There is seduction in Eterno. It sits close for its entirety. Eterno smells great at point blank range, if your getting close to someone, touchy close, they are going to love your smell. It has some of the La Nuit de l'Homme DNA the body fat lipid / lanolin/ skin smell that you smell in La Nuit Eterno smells beautiful, but you better use a lot or it will not be noticeable.

I like this... Not the biggest VC fan... But I like Homme and Eterno. Minty Citrus opening, leads into a semi sweet spicy saffron with something creamy as many have stated... I dig it. Nice cheapie.. Also... This is a cheaper designer fragrance. By a designer not known for particularly strong fragrances. Don’t be afraid to spray away. I don’t like it, but that’s the way it is with many designers.... don’t worry, You won’t offend anyway.

This is the scent that got me in to collecting crazily enough. It was sprayed on me in Macys at Christmas in 2016 and my time I was ready to leave the mall I had to have it. Ended up getting adg Profumo and code Profumo as well and I was off to the race. Still own it, still wear it, and still love it. I love the way the scent changes completely from opening to dry down though I enjoy both.

Beautiful and will always be one of my favorites. The clean, musky and don’t forget the gorgeous pepper mixing with the underlying notes is something special and stunning. I get a similar vibe, sort of in John Varvatos pure in the beautiful white bottle with wooden cap.

I really don't think Givenchy Play would make a relevant comparison. Eterno is soapy minty saffron, while Play is a bittersweet undertone throughout. I'd say Lalique White would make a more relevant one as a spicy soapy citrus in a white bottle..

This one is interesting. It smells like my elementary school classroom but also something that a suave black gentleman like Idris Elba could pull off. Not a fan. (of the fragrance, no problem with suave black gentlemen.)

Id like to give this a second chance after reading the note breakdown, my nose was fairly new to complexity so this came off as a weird makeup powdery scent to me, i ultimately gave it away
