Vince Camuto for Men

I just did a sample of this at Belk. I am a huge fragrance freak but never heard of Vince Camuto. I called my sister up and it turns out this guy is well known for designing womens shoes and other clothing. I took a whiff of this frag and honestly I was blown away by the fresh, woody, clean, and peppery dark this fragrance was. It really caught me off guard how good this stuff smelled. I have NO idea on the longevity of this but this is def a beautiful fragrance in every way. I own over 50 frags with several of them being Niche but still haven't found my PERFECT scent however I get compliments all the time with what I wear. I have a feeling this frag is going to be a serious contender with the higher up frags. It is very well blended, peppery spicy, fresh, woody. If it as good as the smell on my wrist and has some staying power I may have found a new signature scent. If the longevity isn't great, I am still going to get it and get an atomizer. I don't see how anybody could not like this scent nor be offended by it. It's MANLY and I believe could boost ones confidence after a few sprays on the neck. 9/10 Update: Bought the frag. I love it, especially the clean earthy drydown. There is nothing ULTIMATELY super unique on the frag other than it smells DAMN good. It is simply a new take on things that have been done before. This is one of the few colognes that I actually DO spray on the clothes. I go 4 shots with this one..Two on each neck pulse point, one under the shirt, and one ON the shirt. I have found my self sniffing myself throughout the day. There are indeed frags that have a similar vibe, but I find this one especially interesting for its spicy darkness that is not overly harsh. This could go all seasons but really fitting for a cool evening or fall. If you are looking for an over the top completely intense unique fragrance, this may not be for you. If you are looking for something daily, clean, spicy, and a bit mysterious this could be the one for you. Just because your nose can't smell it intensely after an hour doesn't mean people around you cant.

I was surprised how much like this one. To me, I get a really nice fresh-leather, lavender, woodsy, peppery feel out of it. This fragrance has average projection for the first couple hours and then transitions into a skin scent; moreover, it lasts around 6-7 hours on my skin. There is nothing really outstanding or unique about this fragrance, except it really is quite a pleasant and versatile fragrance: excellent date/event scent (has a sensual quality to it) and wonderful for a quiet day at the office (has a semi-formal business feel to it) when you're not trying to make a brash statement nor stink anyone out. It can be used day or night and during anytime of the year except the really hot and cold periods IMO. Well-done! Sure it's not an in-your-face Tuscan Leather or Golden Boy leather fragrance, but one doesn't need to include Moon-Dust and essence of Holy Grail in order to make a lovable scent. While not one of my favorites, VCM is definitely a cherished leather fragrance in my Scent Armory...cool bottle too. So don't listen to rubbish by folks like mxmath who said, "If you want to weat a sceny without others knowing, this is for you..." Perhaps I knew what "weat a sceny" meant...ugh!

If you're a fan of leather, you will certainly enjoy this one especially its opening. The opening is very strong on the leather but mellows out fairly quick. As with most fragrances, go easy on the spray. I've noticed it can be a bit strong once the leather subdues if I'm not careful. It's perfect for cold weather and it's become my favorite during this cold northeast winter. It projects a very beautiful scent once the leather disappears and it lasts through the day. You will also notice that it leaves a very nice fragrance on your clothes. I bought it out of curiosity and was very pleasantly surprised. It is very masculine and I doubt any women could pull off this one. Also, there's something about it that feels like an old fragrance you may have smelled a long time ago and suddenly shows up. Perhaps its the leather. Olfactory deja vu? I like it and will probably keep wearing it, at least until the weather turns and it's time to pull out the spring stuff. The leather on the bottle and top add a nice classy touch. Can be bought for decent price so shop around.

Walking through Macy’s, I randomly picked this up to smell it. My wife and I became so enamored by the scent that I memorized the name and for the next few days and kept thinking about it. Finally, after about four days, I ordered it and this became my go-to sent every day for about a year. (This was before I started collecting fragrances and wearing something different each day.) At my job, I got compliments. One of them came from someone specific who meant a lot to me and that only meant one thing- this was going to be my signature scent. The smell is masculine, but I’m not talking Sauvage or Aventus masculine. This is its own thing. It’s sophisticated and I really don’t think you can go wrong with it. It’s good for an office setting or a night out. I’d say best in the colder months. I don’t get citrus, but I’m not sure what it is to be honest. Maybe leather? Or some type of woodiness. Either way, I’m glad this is part of my collection.

This scent makes you say, "Hmmmm...what am I smelling?" What you're smelling is a clean combination of citrus, wood scents, and leather with a dash of pepper. The opening is very fresh and exciting and eventually dries down to a more subtle, professional scent that projects quite well. Also, there seems to be slight hint of singed tobacco or smoke elusively hiding in the dry down...a nice little touch of, "I'm a MANLY man." This is definitely a safe fragrance that is suitable for all occasions, both day and night. So, go ahead. Give it a shot. The lady in your life will definitely be pleased. BEWARE: To be completely honest, I get a decent amount of compliments from women and a heavy amount from men, so you may end up getting attention that you want AND don't want, if you catch my drift. Of course, that all depends on YOUR preferences. I'm just informing you beforehand.

A sharp opening and then a dominant leather note interwoven with elements of fresh spicy. Good longevity. Very linear. One way I love using this one is as a light dusting underneath or on top of Layton. It's dominant leather note, subtly infused as it is with the bright fresh spicy aspect, seems the perfect counter-complement to the cozy-soft, sweet, floral of Layton. Such a dusting adds a more masculine dimension to Layton. [12/7/22 Update: I've also discovered that it's great in another layering combination I've come up with, which, in just the three days I've worn it so far, has fetched multiple "You smell good!" compliments. It might not take home the gold on its own, but if you experiment with and have a real knack for layering, you may want to consider adding this one to your palette.]

This one is a lowkey winner. I tried a bottle on a whim at the Macy's counter when it originally launched and made it through the full 100 ml, I live in a cold region and it was my go to for fall and winter. I admit I didn't run right out and get a second bottle when I ran out...loved the scent but the performance was hit or miss for me. Recently I found a gift set online (cheap) that came with the matching deodorant and aftershave lotion...now I feel like I can get through a whole day without a respray and would go from giving this maybe a 7/10 to damn near a 9. Def worth checking out from a discounter if you like subtle leather and smooth wood vibes. You won't have strangers stopping you on the street with compliments but you might get a little extra attention at the end of a date night.

Update on this one two years later after my last review. Another two unsollicited compliments. I rarely get those. It's leather oriented, but with a lot more to it. Fresh, floral, and fruity. Projection is better than I thought it was It seems straightforward at first but there is a lot more going on with this one than most mainstream fragrances in the mid price range have. I upgrade my like to a love and make sure to get a backup bottle if this ever gets discontinued. I agree with another poster this is not the super safe (bit boring) office scent, nor the super fresh gym scent. It's something of its own. You decide when. It smells good.

Received it as a gift and initial impression i had was, a faint citrusy scent to start with, and faint woody leathery dry down. But i really liked the aroma it created (only for me though). Then in next wearings i over applied it. It worked. Silage was better, smell was fantastic, but it projected for first half to one hour and then i could get the whiffs for next 4 5 hours. I am disappointed with performance but i love the smell. If it had more concentration of juice, i would surely buy another bottle. For now, i only use it when i want to enjoy myself because i love the smell. For going out and other occasions i use other scents.

Far and away my favorite cologne. It's masculine, spicy, aromatic with cedar and well crafted citrus and last all day and all night, but, it is also very subtle at times. I had put some on one morning and my wife barely noticed it...later that day my wife and I were walking the dogs and she kept looking around. She kept saying something smelled wonderful and spicy and couldn't put her finger on what it was or where it was coming from...it wasn't until later that she realized the smell was me (OK, my Vince Camuto) and ever since she's become a believer. I wear it pretty much all the time (work, play, even at the beach).

My girlfriend got this for me as a Christmas present because she loved the smell of it. The first time I smelled it, it reminded me of Green Irish Tweed. Now I feel like it smells nothing like it. My girlfriend and I have very different tastes in fragrances, but I must say that this one has grown on me, and I wear it to work more often now than any other fragrance. I find it very pleasant, with leather, spice and patchouli being the most prominent scents to me. Longevity is good for me too, and lasts a good 6 hours. Bottom line, I know this won't be popular with everyone, but this guy really likes it.

I sprayed this fragrance on, and I honestly didn't like it. (At first) So after 20 minutes I smelled my hand and it smelled like a person that forgot deodorant and tried to cover it up by applying too much cologne. So basically, a taste of a sweaty armpit with a lot of leather and lavender. But, the shocking part is that I actually love it. When I can't stop smelling my hand and continue to smell my hand every 30 seconds, I believe that I more than just "like" this fragrance. This is a must have for me. I will definitely be buying this in the future. It just smells fiiiiine to me!

This is the cheapest fragrance that I've got a compliment on. Very sophisticated. Think of a board room suits vibe. That lavender and leather combo is so smooth and with the sandalwood it smells like being inside a tuxedo store with old oak cabinets. The citrus lavender notes will give you whiff occasionally and tell you hey stay bright we are still here. Longevity is 3-4 hours max. But at the price I would just carry a tiny decant to top up in the evening. Super office safe and very very sophisticated feel. 25 bucks at Ross or discounters is a steal.

I think this cologne is just what was needed in a cologne world of today infested with unisex and metro man type scents , vince camuto steps up and says i am a man and fellas thats what women want is a man i am the only guy in my city who wears this cologne i assume because people always ask what i am wearing and i tell them what it is and no one has heard of it , but thats a plus too i do not smell like everyone else . Good sillage good longevity good smell , to me thats the markings of a legend in the making.

Ok...this kind of goes down the Suvauge scent path, but, is more on the milder side. It would work all year and about anytime. Moderate performance but for the price not bad. Lavender is fairly predominantly there, which for some may give it a more mature scent, This is not a sweet scent and is probably more of a mature scent. But in a semi or formal situation it seems perfectly fit.

if there was ever such a thing as sweet leather/musk..w/lovely aromatic spices layerd in..then thats how i would describe this fragrance..its fantastic!! glad its not just the typical LEATHER type scent..it is not..it is fine smelling!! an instant favorite of mines..9/1O...it has a moderate silage and longevity as well..happy blind buy!! This is my second review on Vince Camuto. It has taken me a while to get used to this magical fragrance. Now it is one of my favorites. It is earthy and very, very masculine, soft and not overpowering. I sprayed some on this morning and I still smell it on me. It is great for a dinner date or just going out with friends.

Had this bottle for over a year and its one of my favorite year round cologne, has that nice citrus top note at first but once it dries down you get faint smells of lavender and leather that blend pretty well together. There whole line up is pretty good as well, definitely a safe blind buy.

When I first started working at Perfumania this was my all time favorite. Still to this day it is one of my faves cause it last a long time and smells amazing on. When you spray it behind your ears you can get little wiffs of it all day. ITS AMAZING! AJoaquin

I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas this year. This is a very sexy, assertive and masculine smell. He uses 2 sprays on his neck in the morning. When he comes home from work I can still smell it on his beard when I kiss his cheek. I love this stuff!
