Self Made

Importantly the note is toffee, there is no coffee! The opening of this is pure sugary bliss. I don't get much maple syrup (which I'm honestly glad about because that could easily overpower). It's a delicious toffee smell, soft and cosy like a warm hug. You must love tuberose for this one. It's a stunning version of it, slightly vegetal, narcotic and gorgeous. Somehow, tuberose and toffee were meant for each other, the two together makes this special. It's slightly creamy, probably from the coconut milk although there is no strong coconut note. There's also something animalic in here but that just makes it better as it stops the sweetness from being cloying. I'm wearing this in winter in Australia and it's perfect. I'm not sure this would work in high heat as it would be overwhelming. Sillage is impressive and I wore it to bed last night and can still smell it on my skin this morning so performance is eternal. I would not say this is blind buy safe unless you adore tuberose. This is a love for me. I can see me wearing this a lot through winter and into spring. It's not like anything else out there!

The notes on Self Made honestly scared me a little at first. Maple syrup at the top can easily go into overly sweet, syrupy territory, and for the first few minutes, I thought that might be where this fragrance was headed. But then it started to unfold. What surprised me most is how beautifully the florals emerge and balance the sweetness. As someone who is currently deep in my floral era, I am absolutely loving this fragrance. It's gourmand, it's floral, and it feels incredibly well put together. If Main Character is the sweet, polished, and demure woman in the room, Self Made is her confident sister. She's not trying to get your attention—she already has it. Self Made carries itself with a quiet authority that feels sophisticated, accomplished, and self-assured. It has that "I'm here. Listen to me because I know things" energy. It's classy, feminine, and memorable, but with a stronger presence than Main Character. The sweetness is there, but it's wrapped in confidence, making it feel less playful and more powerful.

This perfume is really nice. It's not like everything out there right now, but that's one reason why it's so great. It's daring! You have to be daring to be self made. It smells like a strong coconut milk latte and it's sweet but dries down more grown up sweet. I really enjoy this and it has hints of MON GUERLAIN. Steven did a really great job with this perfume. I was glad it's different, and I'm really enjoying it. I also get some vibes of Alien Goddess from it, but it's more grown up than that perfume. Thank you for this great perfume! I'll enjoy Summer 2026 so much with this Self Made!

The introduction of creamy coconut and maple syrup bring innocent and playfulness, while this beautiful tuberose gradually brings grace and confidence. It ends with a soft musk that settles into my skin feeling like a comforting embrace of re assurance. Self Made reminded me that femininity isn't just one thing, it can be youthful, confident, and soft all in the same journey. Maybe thats what he meant when he described Self Made, allowing yourself to grow into every version of who already are.

As a certified tuberose hater, this fragrance really surprised me in the best way possible. I received it as a gift and when I sprayed it on my arm, I couldn't stop sniffing it. It's a beautiful floral gourmand that leans more floral with coconut milk on my skin. I'm glad to have it in my collection

57yo F, for me this was a blind buy but upon reading the notes, I knew it was highly likely I would love it, and I do. To me, it's an easy reach type of fragrance. Any occasion. Any time of day, year. Nothing in here I would say I don't love. Congrats Steven, it's divine!

Well balanced gourmand take on Apothia If (which I loved but is now hard to come by in the UK). Gourmand floral with a clean musk drydown. Versatile (subject to liking tuberose), unique and reasonably priced. Congrats Steven!

I adore Steven Gavrielatos (Redolessence) and wish to support his endeavors. I want him to always be happy & uber-successful! And I am also a huge tuberose lover. So with little thought, I blind-bought Vivamor "Self Made." With this said, "Self Made" is a very sweet, milky, slightly clean, somewhat balsamic, coconut floral fragrance, tropical to a degree but with a twist. If I am honest, I have to say I find Self Made's opening rather rough. For me, Self Made opens with a strong and sharp blast of green, vegetal, milky coconut that wears more lactonic and aquatic versus creamy. A light, golden maple syrup note emerges and lends sweetness and depth to the sour, slightly animalic coconut opening. The heart notes present a nice tuberose that seamlessly blends with the opening accord. The tuberose is a much welcome addition that balances out the coconut quite a bit. In short order, sweetness emerges from toffee & praline. Lots of clean musk, sweet praline and additional coconut contribute to a slightly balsamic dry-down. The perfume's dry-down is appealing and definitely my favorite phase of the fragrance's development. The presentation is lovely. The bottle is beautiful. The atomizer is perfection. And the perfume's dry-down is nice. While wearing Self Made, a thought entered my mind: Self Made gives Xerjoff "Quattro Pizzi" vibes with STRONGER coconut notes and no davana, no tonka bean as it develops. Totally out of my wheel-house. We'll see how this goes with time. EDITED: Sold this on eBay.

This is a pretty and very creamy flormond. The first 2 min are way sweet and I hoped they would not persist and they don’t. A blast of maple syrup that just isn’t it. Then the creamy tuberose develops and stays for quite a while. I own both Petra and Quatro Pizzi and they don’t smell like this. In the mid I get more blanche bette vibes which is good with me. Summer is questionable here it might be a good end of summer to fall as it is a little thicker of a fragrance

I appreciate this perfume bc it is unlike anything in my collection. To me it starts like a vanilla yogurt, drizzled with the sweetgoo of honey. Then its the sweetest stickiest floral and almost like walking through the renfest perfume and flowers booth. It follows you like fresh flowers in your hair. It is not a coffee note as listed its toffee and the gripping sweet coats the tuberose flowers and is eternal. I wish I loved this level floral. It is so enduring and confident. It doesn't fade to a skin scent. It marches into the room like a bossy older sister. I do not consider this a unisex, or blind buy safe. I adore Steven and wanted to keep this. But as striking as this is. Its not a fit for me. But for lovers of flower forward frags its going to be instant love. Im sensitive to something in this and it was an instant headache for me.

Upon first sniff, I get a blast of sweet creamy coconut milk and tuberose. I can pick up almost every note in the initial spray. It smells like a bowl of creamy coconut milk with toffee chunks in it, a heavy dose of maple syrup drizzle, all this covered by tuberose flowers (same sweet tuberose as in My Way). The coffee is non-existent on my skin and to my nose. Very feminine but sweet, a few minutes into the wear, the gourmand aspect mellows a little, making the scent very enjoyable. You have to like tuberose to a certain extent to enjoy this, as it is quite prominent but beautiful nonetheless. A tad too gourmand for me in this heat wave, but can't wait to wear it once the weather cools down.

Im not trying to be funny. I had a visceral negative reaction to this. Upon first sniff, I gagged, literally. I gave it a couple of minutes to dry down a bit, because of the alcohol blast in the opening. Upon second sniff, I gagged again. It smells like a sweet gasoline, chemical type of fragrance to me. Based on the notes, I really thought it would be a match. I love coconut, florals, gourmands, and flormands but I just cant with this one. I had to wash it off. Im not even willing to wait for a further dry down. There is definitely way too much influencer hype around this one.

I wanted to love this fragrance so much, and I’ll definitely give it another chance in the future, but right now I just can’t stand it. The tuberose is way too loud, and it’s all I can smell. I love Steven, and I trust his taste, so I was really excited to try this one. Unfortunately, it’s just not for me. 4/10✨

This is utterly bizarre. It smells like the end of a cigar after it’s been smoked and put out, plus some maple syrup. Oof.

The notes should be toffee, not coffee in the heart. I think it's a typo on the Vivamor website as well.... all the clips I've seen about this has stated toffee. 😊 Fragrantica, can you please correct this? Anyway, I've bought this one and will write a review asap. Really looking forward to trying this and hope the praline sticks out. Hope that it smells like a praline and toffee dipped creamy tuberose with hints of coconut and maple syrup. 🙏😍
