Mamajuju

I was immediately drawn to Mamajuju, and it exceeded all my expectations! The blend of sandalwood, rum, and earthy notes creates a wonderfully balanced scent that feels both comforting and grounding. As the fragrance develops, there's a warmth from the woody notes that lingers beautifully throughout the day, adding depth to the experience. The longevity truly surprised me, especially for a clean scent—it lasted all day! I received so many compliments while wearing it, and it left a lasting impression. Mamajuju is perfect for those who appreciate rich, earthy and spicy fragrances with a touch of elegance. Highly recommended!

This fragrance is so detailed it’s amazing. This is the best earthy fragrance I’ve ever smelled and I’d go as far as to say my new favorite overall in my collection. The lasting power is pretty great as well as the sillage. Smells like vetiver, clay, and I get the olibanum also. Gorgeous, very nicely composed !

This is a very enjoyable, dry woody fragrance on me. The rum and booziness did not show but what I got was a lovely, nothing like Santal pickle juice, Sandalwood and Cedar. Like being in a cabin where the fire has warmed enough to release the scent of wood. My personal experience of this was in a place in Oslo so I have a Nordic association of nature where a more exotic narrative might be. I suppose in summary it’s a beautiful wood fragrance (on me) and that’s enough, maybe not enough to buy right now but maybe this will low key stay in mind and I might come back to it if I want that warm, simple wood cabin with no smoke, amber or sweetness. Simple but deep enough to understand the quality of it.

I like this, it is like a spicy, musky, slightly incensey autumn /winter hug. Very comforting. What it is not, though, is stand out. It is close to without being the same as any number of scents I already own, I really could not justify another.. definitely not at that kind of price point. If you don't have others in the same ballpark it is worth a sample because it is good. If you do...? Honestly, you probably don't need it

I am surprised at how much I like it. It doesn’t last long at all, and is a bit strange. But there is something special about it and I enjoy how it makes me feel. I can’t justify purchasing a bottle at the moment—I’m not obsessed. But I probably will someday, it’s quite nice and unusual. The cumin is a little too strong, but I still weirdly enjoy it.

The cumin note is very strong on my skin but otherwise I love this scent. I wish it were a candle

Cumin, dry herbal sandalwood, cardamom, various spices and clay. These are what I pick up the most, and I was really surprised that cumin isn't listed. Then I checked their website and was relieved to see it's actually there, because I was starting to doubt my nose! The scent is made up of a cluster of dry wood and spices. The off-putting part here is the abundance of the cumin note, which resembles BO... If that had been toned down and the clay had been turned up, it would've been much better. I'm not a professional, but it feels like the balance needs some tweaking... From afar, very far, it reminded me of Oddity's famous scent, probably because of the clay. Overall not bad, but the off-putting quality bummed me out a little. Tag(s): spicy, clay, woody, dry, bo-like

This is an aquired taste. It's very spicy, earthy, and rooty. It has almost no sweetness at all. At least not in the opening and the mid. For me, it smells mostly of something like angelica mixed with vetiver.

although i've heard people compare it to the smell of graveyard soil, to me it's more like a mix of earth and chickpeas.

It smells like my garden shed in my garden when the humidity is a little to high. Like slightly sweet, humid wood with garden soil and damp earthiness. Even though I appreciate the creativity behind this scent I really don't want to smell like damp wood and soil. I can't even see this as a room scent. Interesting nevertheless, but simply not for me.

Earthy charred beetroot. On a base of potent ambroxan. Defeats the purpose of perfumery as an element of personal grooming in my opinion.

I kindly received this as a gift from the brand, and as a warm spicy woody fan, I’m not incredibly obsessed with it, so to say. The reason is due to the very strong savoury cumin note which Fragrantica hasn’t listed but is on the Vyrao website. Cumin is associated with Indian cuisine, and it’s a spice which only reminds me of these savoury dishes. This is a savoury warm spicy perfume. Nevertheless it’s still nice I’ll be wearing it often. I’m just wondering if people will think I’ve been cooking curry when they meet me.

Warm, earthy and witchy. Well blended so, rather than individual notes, it gives off warm woods and spice with different facets poking out as it develops depending on temperature and humidity. It can linger on clothes but on skin I get max 5 hours over thick body butter or vaseline. Enchanting and odd but not exactly a crowd pleaser and NOT a safe blind buy by any means. It is a badass bayou witch with zero sweetness to it, so on days I am in the mood to be palatable I layer it with a simple vanilla.

IT WONT WASH OFF FOR THE LOOOVVEEEE!! Very earthy. Smells like overpowering clay/woods on my skin...like someone building a cedar shed in some mud.
