Oud Absolu

I was very curious about this new scent by Wally, because I've already tested Pape Satàn and Incenso Nobile and my expectations about Oud Absolu were very high. In some ways, the start of Oud Absolu reminds me of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, Rasasi La Yuqawam Homme, Pal Zileri Cuoio, Mercedes-Benz Le Parfum and so on. It's very elegant, mature and deep one. The raspberry note is not at all powerful or dominant and the major players are leather and woods in a sophisticated mix... I think it's a nice take of this known idea: leather+woods+raspberry+saffron and it's not too thick or overwhelming. At the drydown there is some warm and slight mystic/smoky/incense accords that make Oud Absolu even more interesting. The only downside is the scent is not as powerful/loud as I expected. But I'm sure many will appreciate that kind of performance, because it could be a perfect choice for everyday use and crowded situations. All in all, Oud Absolu is very elegant, smart and true captivating high-quality leather-woody scent with nice mature vibe, and it can be used everyday without any concern it could offend anyone. That's a really a bonus when we talk about oriental-woody scent, because we love perfumes, when we are wearing them more often with confidence ;)

After I've got a big bottle of Oud Absolu, I'm trully in love! And some updates: - the performance in fact is Beast mode - very powerful and long lasting! - the note of raspberry note is much more detectable and even dominant!!! So, my conclusion is - with several powerful sprays at morning, I've got amazing mix of leather, woods, jammy rose and juicy raspberry that lasts for the whole day! For me, this an example when we have to appreciate the dab samples, but they don't give the full picture of a scent.

Just divine smell! Best perfume I ever smelled. Masterpiece! 10/10
