Histria! What a great journey to Romania you have taken me once again! Histria or Histropolis the birthplace of Mayki Wesker the cocreator of the brand and the site for the ancient Greek polis of the same name on the Dobrujan coast. In my opinion I would say Histria and Deviant are probably the most fun and playful of the creations from the brand. Histria opens as bright sweet yellow lemon candies or a cooling and refreshing lemon cocktail. I envision a sweating mug topped up with a generous serving of lemon-flavored crushed ice. Histria is bright, three-dimensional, cooling and sweet. It is a transportive and leisurely fragrance, optimistic, cheerful and happy. Mood-lifting. I would suggest Histria to be worn on the hottest of summer days where this will be a stunningly refreshing sweet pine and lemon cologne. It is aromatic but not a fougère almost more of a citrus chypre because of its slightly sweet and sour qualities. Almost conjuring the scent profiles of such classics as Eau de Rochas Homme, Eau Sauvage or Armani Eau pour Homme. It is citrusy, arboreal, and raw. Masculine, but with a juicy sweetness allowing accessibility for a female as well. I can see this maybe being too sweet and maybe a tad linear for some and that is why it loses some points for complexity and versatility. In the late dry down Histria transitions almost seamlessly into a relaxing herbal heart that retains a bitter and sweet citric presence but more syrupy in texture almost boozy and tart, but with a green and piney edge. A very juicy and unique fragrance that takes me into the relaxing sensation of drinking a piña colada (Does not smell like one) on a bright day at the beach. So in that case this fragrance has mastered its artistic function. I hadn't known what the name Histria meant before smelling the fragrance and was ignorant of the fact that it was a city near the Mediterranean sea, so this had no effect on me feeling transported, it just happened... A rather difficult task for a fragrance to accomplish. It has truly transported me to the coast, and probably the coast of Histria. Perfectly chosen color for the flacon and packaging as well. My synesthesia is pleased. This will most certainly have to enter my collection before summer next year. 9.5/10 I would say Wesker is a brand for folks that enjoy fragrances with original, quality and artful profiles. Those that have the acquired-tastes for the more sophisticated and 'low-key' indie-niche fragrances that aren't made to impress the masses. Brands like Serge Lutens, Hiram Green, Tauer Perfumes, Nasomatto and Strangers Perfumery. And for these reasons would not be safe blind-buys.

Histria is beautiful and very unique–unique enough that I have a hard time categorizing/describing it in a way that doesn’t sound like word salad. Fragrantica calls it an aromatic green fragrance. However, if you’re looking for something herbal, foresty, or piney, you may be disappointed. Histria is one of those fragrances where the notes come together to create something completely different from the individual notes. It has a mysterious incense quality to it with a dozen different faucets that my nose didn’t expect, but can stop sniffing. The brand describes it quite well, “The ancient heart of the Adriatic. For many thousands of years, this divergent place has fascinated and inspired countless souls that strode down its paths and sailed the seas that surround it. Every breath of air is enchanting, giving a profoundly fresh and aromatic olfactory experience, and telling you a never-ending story of a place you will never want to leave.”

Honestly... This is just utterly fantastic! 10/10 masterpiece in my book! Piercing aromatics, pine & citrus with eternal tenacity & perfectly balanced amber-y sweetness (entirely from the use of elder? I only know it from mixology), composed in a way that lets this get fairly wild while staying opulent instead of overbearing, all day. Fairly linear, in the best way. A stop-you-in-your-tracks sample when I tried it; Now a full bottle I will need a backup for, for sure. The best scents aren't for everyone, & this is one of those. But man oh man... I can't recommend trying this enough. It is unique, well done & about as fantastic as the niche game gets IMO. I would go as far as saying it's more about whether you're ready for it or not. Signature scent worthy & while I'm loving it for myself I think it would drive me wild on a woman, too. Beautiful, clean & classy... It's just easy to love, even if a bit adventurous.

From the first spray you get that classic old school vibe. Clean, sharp, and very barbershop. Feels like a proper fougère with a bit of chypre touch, but done in their own way. I don’t really see a direct comparison. It has that vintage DNA, but it still feels unique. Performance is strong. Longevity is excellent and it projects well without being too much. This is not an easy scent. It’s not for everyone. You need a certain taste to enjoy it. I wouldn’t call it complicated, but it’s definitely not mass appealing. For me, it’s one of the best styles ever made in perfumery, but I know many people won’t like it. I’d recommend you try it first, don’t blind buy. If you’re 30+ and into classic masculine scents, you might really enjoy it. Histria is inspired by the Istrian peninsula, rich in wooded hills close to rocky crystalline beaches, this fragrance captures its essence thanks to lively sparkling citrus fruits that meet the green freshness of a young pine, its light and airy heart is composed of a Mediterranean bouquet of white flowers and aromatic herbs, on the bottom balsamic herbs and resinous woods give structure and elegance to this modern fougére which winks at a chypre making this masterpiece unisex. I see it well as a spring/summer signature scent.

Excellent. In order of dominance, this is pine #1, citruses #2 especially lemon and #3 aromatics like lavender, rosemary and sage. It smells like springtime in a pine forest. It reminds me of the green brightness of Louis Vuitton LVers. It smells better on skin than on paper. I would pay retail for this. Completely unisex right down the middle. 8.5/10 score from me.

I wanted to love this one. The notes spoke to me from the paper...but the nose is disappointed. I wanted something piney and herbal and mysterious - maybe faintly sweet on the forefront. Instead all I smell is lavender fighting a grossly sweet Citrus burst. I hate it. I keep hoping it is going to morph in to the piney herbal coolness I was hoping for....but that initial contrasting disaster stays strong to the very end of my patience. I intend to try it a couple more times and see if I can make it to the finish. Maybe there is a prize at the end?.... I wish I was smelling what the previous posters were. My chemistry must be much much different. Fascinating stuff, no? Ok...so I decided to try Eau de Mystique, which I also blind bought. I sprayed it on my other wrist. I found that again, I initially did not like the fragrance....so I decided to sniff Histria again. Now I can smell the prize!! It is exactly what I was looking for. I agree that it almost has an Incense-like quality. It is wonderful, and not overpowering. And that awful Citrus has taken a backseat, thank goodness. I will be changing my original 2 star rating to a 4. Not a 5 because of the opening.

Man I really like this! Instant depression relief. Bright, fresh, floral-honeyed, mandarin-lemon, and fresh pine. Orange blossom comes out and it turns full on beautiful sunny day. I find it to be Alpine floral sweet like an elderflower simple syrup. This is not overly green to me, just the brightest parts of the herb garden. Easy to pick up while sitting, but on a breeze it comes alive and envelops everything within 6 feet. Great scent for the outdoors on a warm Spring day. In 80°F it becomes a beautiful more nuanced orange blossom/neroli perfume. I oversprayed so pretty sure people in the next town can smell me. Time to walk the trail and choke out those annoying cyclists :)

Baby cologne... At least when it cools down! it is a bright citrus mineral water with a touch of pine, bergamot, and orange blossoms. I can also see that clean cool stone effect added to it with a touch of dewy juicy lavender, & melon to form a baby cologne that scentifies (dunno if it is a word) the atmosphere, the sheets, and the place in general without leaving any stains, or sticky after taste scent. It is a peaceful spot. Very much enjoyable. I can't deny that i didn't like it that much comparing it to the other blends in the same line when i first spray it, but the cooldown is just peacefully pretty. Luxurious baby cologne And not in the good way unfortunately. The dry down is so boring baby cologne/powder smell. The opening is amazing and gives a false impression that something mind-blowing is waiting in drydown. It misses the depth, any spice or smoky note would have taken this to a whole new level. May be females will appreciate this.

Soapy lavender and other aromatics with a little citrus. This literally smells like a bar of soap. So if that's not your thing, I would skip it.

This was one of the very few blind buys in my collection. A seller was offering a bottle with about 20 ml left, so I checked its Fragrantica rating and performance. Thinking it was a true collector’s piece, I told myself, “I have to own this,” and bought it. What a mistake. 😞 Yes, the bottle is definitely collectible—but the fragrance? Fragrances I genuinely love, like PDM Kalan and Perseus, are both rated below 4.0, yet this one has such a high score. Sometimes that really makes me question the credibility of this site. To me, it smells like snapping a fresh pine needle and getting that sharp, intensely green resin on your hands. I honestly can’t understand why I’d spray this on myself and go out in public. If I smelled this on someone in their 70s or 80s, I’d probably think, “Well, Grandpa is still living in the past—it might be time to move a little closer to the present.” This is the first time this has ever happened to me—I’ll be selling it without even wearing it.

One of my worst blind buys. Someone said this smells like a Spanish toilet. I did not listen. Boy did I regret that...

Mmmmh! This is a lovely surprise! It bears a resembelance (at least to me) of one of my very favorite fragrances, the truly impossible to acquire Semii Bespoke no. 7 by Roja Dove. This also does smell a little like a bar of soap (not Dove!) but in a very pleasant way - normally soapy fragrances repulse me but this would be a delight in hot humid weather. There is a prominent orange blossom aspect that reminds me of time spent in Marocco but also bright green piney aspects which remind me of summer life in Northern Europe. So far, I’m thoroughly enjoying this which may be full-bottle worthy - a year-round hesperidic, green, sunshiney delight. Suitable for morning wear, work, or a date - this is a very adaptable scent that is surprisingly agreeable. Smells somewhat like the clean skin of someone you fancy. What a lovely surprise!

This for some reason smells like straight up Indian incense on me and I absolutely love it. It's a gorgeous, unique fragrance. It's a mysterious fragrance with great lasting power and a beautiful sillage. I only had to spray my sample one time to know I wanted a full bottle immediately. I love this fragrance!

Blind bought this for 50 bucks recently and really glad I did. It’s a perfect summer freshie that lasts all day without being overly strong. Perfect.

Strong fresh aromatric and lemon fragrance, after 4 hours since applying it on my neck, fragrance is still slaping me in the face.
