Aqua Velva Ice Sport

Smells like Aqua Velva Ice Blue, with tons and tons of water in it, mixed with more menthol and a splash of Davidoff Cool Water. I haven't smelled Polo Sport yet, but I could imagine it smelling like this. Unlike what one reviewer said, I get about 2 hours out of this stuff. I really love it, better than the two tried and true originals actually! Except Aqua Velva Musk, nothing is better than that...maybe Kiehl's (haven't smelled it)...

Great value a kind of sweet aquatic that doesn't last long and seems to vibe well with cool water. I would buy a separate EDT of this if it was cheap and lasted longer. It has menthol, but is barely noticeable so mix with osage, or something else if you want more cooling.

Nice little aftershave, it's the same Aqua Velva formula I'd say, feels the same and has a similar cooling effect when applied, but we're on a fragrance site so let's focus on that. It lasts about 90 minutes, sitting very close to the skin, and it costs about $5 for a bottle which is an incredibly good value for how nice this smells, and you have to remember this is an aftershave, it's primary purpose is to be applied as a grooming product, so judging this on the same scale as even a cheapie like Cool Water is unfair, this simply cannot compete with something like that in terms of quality. To me, this smells almost identical to Polo Sport, it actually smells more like that than it does Cool Water, and it makes sense because it's called "Ice Sport" and came out I believe a year or two after Polo Sport did. I always thought that Polo Sport smelled like a slightly more up-class version of Cool Water, it's definitely distinctive from Cool Water and they're not even close to being a one-to-one, but they're similar to each other and I can see why some would think this smells like Cool Water. It's more popular than Polo Sport, so it would be the easier reference, but definitely this smells more like PS than CW. Get this if Polo Sport is your signature, or one of your go-tos. You can easily pair the two, they compliment each other perfectly IMO. Also, it does go well with Cool Water although it's not as much of a one for one, but they pair together very well. 35+ crowd or younger guys with more mature noses only I'd say, this isn't a youthful scent, but it's only $5 so maybe worth a shot either way.

very light scent and weak performance. it’s perfectly pleasant but it’ll be gone basically the second you step out of the bathroom. that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, though, if you like the experience of an aftershave splash but don’t want to worry about your aftershave clashing with any of your other fragrances. it’s perfect for that use.

I don't understand how it is that other reviewers haven't compared Aqua Velva Ice Sport to Ralph Lauren Polo Sport. I had a small bottle of Polo Sport a few years ago, and I remember it well. When I got a bottle of Aqua Velva Ice Sport from a thrift store a couple years ago, I immediately noticed the clear resemblance.

Very nice copy of Cool Water with added menthol and skin moisturizers. Pairs great with Cool Water EdT if you don't have the matching aftershave (which is also really really nice). Super cheap and readily available at most drug stores.

I'd always loved the smell when sniffing from the bottle. As this aftershave begins to dry down on the skin, it becomes Ralph Lauren's Polo Sport, which came out earlier that same year (1994).

I haven't smelled Polo Sport but this reminded me of my Ocean Surf Speed Stick

This was always the best of the line, a smooth, sweet scent with a hit of raspberry under the menthol. You have to stretch to describe notes in a complex pyramid for something as basic and inexpensive as Ice Sport, but if I had to take a stab at it I'd say it's a fruity variation of Ice Blue, and quite a bit sweeter. Nowadays I never see it; my assumption is that it's discontinued.

Very light, fruity and cool. Would be a wonderful EDT if they made it. Weak projection. Nice as a good start to a morning but don't depend on lasting long. Maybe 1 to 2 hours. Truly worth buying the Pro Vitamin B5 and E one as aftershave or skin care product.
