Honeysuckle Halcyon

I will state with confidence that this has honeysuckle absolute in it. I know it, because I own some, and this definitely contains the complex, heavy, rich, narcotic material that I procured from Mandy Aftel some time ago, along with a decent percentage of jasmine sambac absolute, which I love. Much like Miki Mochi, the matierals are legible: a peach isolate seems to be here, mimosa absolute, all fixed with vetiver and patchouli, I detect everything that is in the notes pyramid. But what do I think of it? To be frank, it's sensational. These materials were all put to good use and altogether it smells like a dream.

Got a sample set and this was the main one I wanted to try. I've been looking for a wearable unisex honeysuckle note that sits just slightly off the beaten path. I had really high hopes and they give you a good sized sampler so I gave this one a few wears. This came off at first wearing very yellow floral...almost tuberose even. Good sent but at the time not for me. Jasmine was sharp and strong. Didn't get patchouli or vetiver at all first wear. Let the sample sit for about a month and a half.... mascerated, the yellow floral now comes off a bit more like honeycomb with an oriental vibe. This does feminine very well. Experimental yet office appropriate. This is very inoffensive and approachable. Sharp but in a floral forward way. The honeysuckle makes an appearance about 30mins in to soften the sharper edges of this fragrance. Patchouli and vetiver are detectable to my nose after about an hour...but they support rather than overtake the floral honeycomb scent. As a man, this fragrance is a bit too feminine for me, but it's well blended and enjoyable. If you get a bottle, I recommend spraying then letting it sit for about a month. I really like La Valse, Brumaire Woods, and Habari and if you are looking at this house, you're sure to find something worth wearing
