Rugged Wilderness

Smells like a cool summer evening walk along a winding wooded stream, lined with wild lavender. The sun hasn’t quite set, and golden dusky light filters through the canopy as a breeze carries a sweet, earthy musk in little dancing swirls around you. The lavender sings a bold yet soothing solo in the opening, while bergamot flits lightly like a soft piccolo accompaniment. Soon after, the sweet earthiness of hay and green herbal notes join in, harmonizing gently with the lavender. As it evolves, warm, creamy, musky patchouli leads the outro in a beautiful, bassy hum. There’s even a faint hint of mint—maybe from the eucalyptus or lavender—that, when paired with the vanilla, gives a soft mojito-like vibe. This one morphs like a concerto on my skin—layered, dynamic, and deeply resonant. There’s something about lavender and patchouli together that’s primally addictive to me. Like a cat with catnip—or a dog rolling in the grass after catching its favorite scent—this combo puts me in a state of loopy, joyful bliss. It’s my fragrance catnip, and needless to say, I absolutely love this one. It’s my favorite Wyld Notes perfume. Sillage and projection are solid, and longevity is excellent—especially for a natural perfume.

I really only get lavender and vanilla but since there’s no vanilla maybe I’m actually smelling patchouli? Smells so fresh and warm. Very natural, no synthetic smells here. No headaches! It’s soothing lavender, great for a bedtime scent or uplifting moment. Obsessed.

This was my fragrance quiz result on the brand website, and I was really hoping it would be a balanced lavender with fresher tones. Unfortunately, it smells thick with lavender and sage, and together with the patchouli this creates a powdery cloud I'm not fond of. Opens with sharp green citrus which is refreshing; almost minty. Tart, bright. Eye-opening freshness. Quite clean, but a nice centered sharpness. All too soon the lavender takes over and I can taste the soapiness. This sadly may have turned me off of lavender a bit.
