Imperial Blue

Been testing this one out the last few days and I really enjoy this fragrance!! I am a big fan of the Blue DNA and this up there with my " Blue Shrine". This definitely has tie ins with the BDC DNA....but it's been a few years since I smelled BDC, so I can't tell anyone how close it is. This is a powerful Blue...especially the first few hours it is projecting loudly! I don't think it would be a great work scent. I wore it to work one day and my one coworker ( he knows I enjoy fragrances) said to me " What are you wearing!! It's super strong and is to much for me " He and I work within 10 feet of each other inside. I did four sprays over one hour before I started work. The only other blue fragrances that matches this for me personally was Dylan Blue, Sauvage parfum, and Y edp. I don't wear any of them during work because of that reason and this will be added to that list for Blue fragrances. Easy on the trigger with this Blue. I believe it would do best for the club or going out scene or for someone who works outside. I believe this is a four season fragrance as well. I think it has the power to cut through the cold. The performance is up there with other good blues...I get 6-8 hours of longevity and the first 0-4 hours this is projecting loudly!( 3+ ft and definitely more within the first 2 hours) By hours 5-6 it finally starts to settle down alittle. Projecting a few inches off skin with a lovely scent bubble. Hours 7 and 8 it turns into a light skin scent. You will most likely go nose blind to this...because I definitely did off and on through the fragrances life. I would rate the scent a 8/10, proformance a 10/10, and price point a 10/10. Overall 9/10 for this Blue fragrance!

I love BDC, but only the Parfum and L'Exclusife versions. The edt is much too sharp so I much prefer Rey by Asrar for the really hot weather or perhaps Artisan Pure, or North Stag Trios or Quatre, but if it's not steaming hot then I much prefer this even over BDC EDP! It's like a smoother citrus, same exact mid, and much more amber heavy base focused on the ambrofix molecule instead of the drier, more abrasive sandalwood/incense combo of BDC EDP. I also have Hypnotic Amber by this brand and that is my most complimented Fragrance out of well over 350 bottles. I have some that I much prefer myself, such as Royal Crown Kahn, Sultan, MFK Oud Satin Mood Extrait and Oud Extrait, Clive Christian XX Cypress are just a few, but look at the price of those! Even though I still prefer BDC Parfum to this, your talking over $300 for the 5oz bottle I have and if you are going to buy a BDC you should definitely spring for the 5oz bottle because you aren't going to be getting Savauge Parfum level performance with any of them, not even L'Exclusife much less Savauge Elixir type performance. But this one is much closer to those levels of performance with its diffusiveness and it's almost there in longevity falling just about an hour and a half shy. So that's still equivalent to the 10 hours you get from L'Exclusife. So I rate this higher than most of the best designer blues. My ratings would be as follows: 1. BDC Parfum 2. Savauge Parfum 3. Y Le Parfum - Original black bottle 4. Xeena Imperial Blue 5. Y EDP tied with Asrar Rey, the superior YSL Myself. I cannot wait to get my hands on Lumen by Xeena! Hoping it will be a superior Myself Le Parfum just as Rey has been to the original.

This fragrance is pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty solid (for all you "Curb Your Enthusiasm" fans.) I'm actually wearing it now, and as you can see from my collection, I have a serious collection of Chanel among others. I've had it for several months now, and it seems to have matured quite nicely. If I'm in the mood for a BDC fragrance on a Tuesday afternoon, I'll reach for this bottle rather than my $200 bottle of BDC parfum or the EDP ($160). Go easy on the trigger with this one. It's a bit potent. Overall rating (including the uninspired bottle): 7.9 / 10.0 (maybe an 8.1 / 10.0 on a good day.)

This without question is a clone of BDC EDP... and a stellar one at that. The performance on this monster destroys BDC, and it isn't even a contest. This smells like they used good oils and ingredients to create this awesome clone. It is double the price of Iconic, but I think it's worth it for the performance. Armaf Iconic has really good performance on me, but this one is very impressive, and I'll be reaching for this during the spring and summer. 8 out of 10.

I'm really happy with this purchase. Imperial Blue by Xeena: Versatile, good performance, great in high heat, office safe, compliment getting.

This smells great and, while not a perfect dupe of BDC due to lacking its sharpness, it's a mass-appealing compliment getter. 8.5/10

It really got better after 3 months maceration. It started as a tone down Dylan blue, now it's closer to BDC edp. I love it

This is basically a 1:1 to BDC EDP Quality is similar to BDC, and as a clone leagues better than CDNIM Iconic, which is the hybrid of EDT/EDP - this one is specifically EDP. The oil concentration is great, the sillage is apparent without noseblindness. For the price - could be cheaper, but the quality is much higher than most clones. The bottle is premium, atomizer is nice and misty.

Stronger and more rounded than Iconic. Doesn't really do wonders for my skin, but I bet it can with someone else. BDC obviously stills reigns the DNA but it really suprising a 50-dollar fragrance comes that close. 3 hour projection and 9-10 hour body scent until gone. I'm intrigued what Xeena will pull with their next interpretations.

does not smell like bleu de channel . but it does smell good it’s blind buy safe & a good blue fragrance but deff not a dupe of BDC

I'm on my 5th bottle of BDC EDP, I have a bottle of Parfum as well, as well as Missoni Pour Homme EDP, Armaf CDN Iconic, Bharara Viking Beruit, and a slew of other "inspired by" scents. I'm very familiar with BDC and similar frags. This is not as deep as BDC EDP (which is also superior to Parfum to my nose, but that's another rant), but it's great for the price. Mind you this is a fresh bottle, so I'm sure it will get better. It seems like the mint in the opening and the melon in the mid are much more pronounced than in BDC EDP, it lacks some of the sandalwood and incense, but they are present. I won't comment on performance yet, as well all know this thing needs to oxidize and mature. I will reserve judgement for now, but I am optimistic. I see a lot of potential in it for something I got for $39 shipped to my door. I will update in the coming weeks. Update, it's been about a month since I got this and first sprayed it. I wanted to love this, I had very high hopes after reading reviews and seeing influencers hype it up. I believe it has changed with maturation, and while it is a bit smoother and longer lasting, it has honestly gotten much further away from the BDC scent profile. I have had this weird process hhppen with a handful of various clones before, and I think most reviews are based on that initial impression with specific clones that smell more like the originals that they do when they mature. You can definitely see what they were trying to do, unfortunately, for me, they missed the most important parts of BDC which are that creamy sandalwood, incense base, and the signature BDC musky powdery DNA that underpins all of the real BDC's. It's fine blue fragrance on it's own, but it's not even a shadow of BDC EDT, let alone EDP. Tangential BDC clone rant: As much as it pains me to say this, after all these years, Armaf CDN Iconic is still the best BDC clone and would have been great clone if it wasn't for the initial synthetic funk, and, much more egegiously, the heavy dry base that sucks all of the freshness and life out of the fragrance in the drydown (about 40 minutes in). I will keep overpaying for BDC EDP, but I do hold high hopes that someday, some brand will make a clone or twist that finally let my wallet have some respite. I do have a bottle of the Riffs BDC l'Exclusiff clone incoming, that should be interesting... Update 2: got my hands on a few samples of French Avenue Zenith Deep and it's the one to buy.

Great scent, the longevity hype did not work on me at least. Blue Iconic, dossier citrus ginger are better longevity for me. Blue De Dua is the best performing one to me. It smells amazing tho, just on clothes or clean skin didn't last long. Oh well. Glad everyone is loving it tho!
