Amber Gold

I tried this while in the Xerjoff boutique in Turin, in Via Lagrange, last weekend. This is part of a set, to be used on its own or to be layered with Rose Gold. I loved this from the very start: sweet, orange blossom, marshmallows, fluffy, gourmand but elegant, at the same time. As it was blooming, in all of its beautiful glory, on my wrist (which I kept sniffing all day BTW) I was getting annoyed as I knew it smelt of something I know well, but couldn't think of. And as I mentioned this to the SA, she went to her laptop and then said "it might remind you of Love Don't Be Shy ": bingo 😀It is basically 99% the same scent. I love LDBS but when I run out, I am buying this, as the performance is 10 times better 🌸🤍🩷

#1644 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Got this as a decant from scentsplit.com. Certainly wasn’t going to blind buy anything in this $250 and up price range. First thing to note is the only thing “amber" about this scent is the color of the liquid. Xerjoff makes 73 amber base scents. None, zero have the word “Amber” in the name. One with ambergris is called “Amber Star” another “7 Parfum.” But they pick a scent with no amber or ambergris and call it “Amber Gold.” Setting my annoyance with Xerjoff product marketing to one side, it’s a nice enough fragrance for girls that comes off with flowers and citrus candy. A woman I know wears something in this ballpark from Lattafa called “Yara Candy” that goes for $26. I think at 20 years of age she’s a bit old for this kind of scent which I think works more for the teen and pre-teens. Aquolina’s “Pink Sugar Sensual,” something I gave a friend's 10 year old daughter for her birthday, is a flowery mandarins and candy EDT scent like this that only runs $23 for 50ml. I would not spend $250 for something like this for myself or a woman I’m interested in. The quality is fine, as with most Xerjoff scents, but I think these candy scents are not for grownups. This fragrance smells wonderful in my opinion. Its classy, elegant and a bit old school which i like (not old school as in outdated grandpa smell). rich amber which is kind of balsamic that slowly comes up with time and very herbal smell. I also get the slightest hint of tumeric in this. The main players in this fragrance to my nose is patchouli and some florals.The fragrance doesnt project that much. stays closer to the skin. if they sold this separately then this might be something to consider but it being sold with rose gold which in my opinion smells just like rose water might not be worth it. but that bottle with that beautiful rich colored juice OMG. oh yeah and dont spray on clothes, trust me

An elegant and sophisticated but somewhat redundant floral aromatic with high quality ingredients. The perfume opens with fresh notes of tangerine and coriander. The heart is blossoms of tobacco, almond and orange. The perfume settles into a powdery base of musk, patchouli, and very little amber. Overall nicely blended with moderate projection and excellent longevity. There are better offerings from this line and this is for die hard completists only. Enjoy.

Mid 40’s, no more a corporate slave, you’re finally an entrepreneur, running a saloon/exotic spices shop/jewellery boutique/antique shop, kinda boss, where your job is just to sit at the cashiers and overlook the finances and operations of business. With a IDC state of mind, and respecting employees around you, Amber gold will suit up to the mood, the character, and carry your aura as you enter in your adobe. This is not for someone who wants to have fun, who would walk into the food court wearing this, or someone who has a house/techno playlist. Too strong, thicccc juice, bold one The notes definitely play along.

Very animalic to my nose, that's weird

PROs: - Classic, quality perfumery. - Gorgeous bottle, one of the best looking ones I've ever seen. - Juice color omg. Rich, strong. 3 sprays and my arm looks like I went to the tanning booth. Don't spray on clothing! - Long, long lasting CONs: - Kinda outdated for today's fast-moving, modern global city. This would fit some out-of-touch old person (ex: politician, restaurant owner), who doesn't even know what a meme is. - Price - Projection is below average. - Did I mention price?

Elegant and sophisticated are the kind words I have. Low projection and weaker than I would have thought are my others. Sits close to the skin, average fragrance smell to me. Considering this is $325 for a 50ml, way overpriced, paying for the Xerjoff name I believe. And it is not an Amber fragrance.

If anyone wanted to know if this is relater to Amber start from their previous duo - yes absolutely. there are some smaller differences, but in the grand scheme - same thing. Dry amber with something screechy in it. long lasting, but i dont like it. try before you buy.

Diabetes-inducing, sickly white floral, no relation to amber whatsoever. Love Don't Be Shy is a much better version of the same thing and is more tolerable. This is nightmarish.

The bottle is "fancy", it's expensive, and it's got the Xerjoff name. But come on, you guys...we all know this is nearly a dupe for Calvin Klein Obsession. To me, the opening is obnoxiously heavy - coriander, orange blossom, and musk are all what I can detect. It smells like it was made for those that love mature and vintage fragrances. To those that are saying it's "so elegant and sophisticated"...try it side by side with CK Obsession or Tabu. After you do that, tell me you still think it's so elegant and sophisticated. It certainly lingers so the sillage & longevity are excellent. Even still, I will say that I don't think it's unique or worth the price point. Just saying, you can do better than this.

Une facette un peu vintage de fleur d'oranger mais plus chaude qu'à l'habitude des "vieux" parfums. On sent aussi de façon assez distincte l'amande ; un joli parfum mais à ce prix non merci. Le tabac est également bien perceptible.

Soft, musky, a little amber and orange blossom. Nice but not extraordinary, especially for the price that Xerjoff demands for it.
