Extremely elegant summer creation, not a screamer..more a warm glow across the skin for many hours, I get a high quality lemon first and foremost..of similar quality to the sparkly opening in renaissance with a touch of basil that almost tricks you into thinking of mint..the blending is exceptional because it isn't all about lemon (I was thinking it would be after a few minutes), a few hours in the basenotes reveal some incense and balmy resins with a slight touch of patchouli ..maybe up until now this is Xerjoffs only classical inspired citrus along with Fiero..Aubres is almost a fougere in some ways but then again it's quite unique, great perfumery tho for sure.

Aubres makes we want to go out in the sun, even when the temperature is near record levels. the lemon is to so elegant and overall this has class from top to bottom notes. Chris Maurice knows how to blend scents and this one simply puts most summer scents several levels below this one. Some may not think of incense as a summer leaning note, but here it works exceptionally well. I might just take a walk later as the sun sets as I go window shopping, but really just letting this fragrance wash over me. One of my new favorite summer scents. Well worth a sample and it is bottle worthy despite its steep price.

A nice juicy citrus scent bolstered with a backbone of mint and spice, and leading to some earthy patch and smoky incense which takes it into the masculine imho. Think of Renaissance if you've tried that but bolder, warmer and more natural greenness behind the citrus and a great smoky heart. A superb fougere style frag, I'll likely pick up a full bottle of this at some point if I spot a decent deal.

In my honest opinion the top citrus notes are among the juiciest most realistic impression I have ever smelled spectacular blend along with aromatic elements and use of clean Smokey resins that give this composition a unique character along with a deep complexity I could see this being used as a signature scent

Another citrus based masterpiece from Xerjoff! Such a nice scent and perfect for Fall!

#1139 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I'm surprised I haven't heard more about this scent. Xerjoff's lineup is impressive overall. I don't think anyone disputes that. But I've experienced twenty of their scents and I'd rank this among their more unique offerings. A freshie with a singularly prominent citrus vibe, set off with florals, some wood and a nice incense note. I don't run into a lot of scents with no amber or vanilla these days. Scents like this were mostly a '70's thing. Coty's "Aspen." Halston's "1-12." Aramis' "Devin." All of with the same basic components plus conifer notes like juniper, pine needles. Roja Dove has a bunch of men's scents like this: "Oceania", "Danger", "51." But the one scent that this most resembles, especially as the incense dissipates, is O Boticario's "Quasar Classic", an EDT from the '90s that's still out there for $35 or less. This is an EDP so it performs better, and I do like this better while the incense lasts. But I don't think I like it $100 better. This is crafted for warm weather. I think acceptable in any environment. Likeable, but for this vibe I go with Dior "Eau Sauvage Parfum" or Houbighant "Duc de Vervins Intense."

This is a rare example of a fragrance that combines woods and citrus with real precision. The opening of bergamot and lemon feels clean and transparent, with no sweetness—just a faint bitterness from the citrus peel. It isn’t the airy, fleeting type of cologne citrus; the opening here has more density. In the heart, incense and benzoin appear. The light resinous touch prevents the citrus from feeling thin. In many citrus fragrances the citrus would have disappeared by this point, but here it still lingers into the middle stage. Basil and myrtle introduce a subtle herbal layer, while lavender helps balance the composition, allowing the scent to shift between brightness and warmth. The transition between materials feels very natural and tightly structured. The drydown settles into woods supported by patchouli and cedar. The fragrance becomes calmer and more grounded. Overall the composition feels very complete—clean in tone, without relying on sweetness for body and without the heaviness that resins sometimes create. It’s a fragrance that achieves a precise balance between citrus brightness and woody depth.

Absolutely gorgeous aromatic from Xerjoff centered around an incensy citrus. The perfume opens with a citrusy top of bergamot and Italian lemon. The heart has a central incense note surrounded by galbanum, myrtle, basil, lavender and elemi resin. The perfume dries down to a powdery base of patchouli, cedar and labdanum. Like taking a trip to the Italian countryside on a beautiful spring or early summer day. The unisex perfume has moderate to strong sillage and excellent longevity. Devastatingly beautiful. Enjoy!

Aromatic-citrus that dries down to a soft incense-woodsy along beside the Labdanum; the scent keeps on developing and changing every hour, I agree with the review below, when you first spray this fragrance you think that all you get is a lemon scent, and yes it is, but it's so pure and juicy, that changes then dramatically to the best incense aromatic scent that you can ever smell! Perfect for summer and spring. Performance:100/10!! 12+ on the skin, and forever on clothes.
