K’bridge Club

This has a slight mentholated touch like in MFK gentle fluidity but I don’t think they’re similar at all, especially with the juniper and musky prominence in GF. Anyways I like this? Possibly love? It’s so....smooth. There’s something else blended in here, assuming it’s a subtle bitter aromatic, like also cloves, that really lightens up the fragrance to where it is not thick and overwhelming. The vanilla in here is not as strong to not intensify the rose’s “jammy-ness”. Because of this, you can definitely wear this outside of just winter because the vanilla and rose do not become overly dense. This fragrance sort of floats which is hard to do with the notes listed. The vanilla, caramel and possibly a little amber in the dry-down wrap up the fragrance in a good way. Now wearing in the spring compared to the winter, the caramel and vanilla comes out even more and the projection/longevity has vastly improved while still maintaining its airiness (rose and aromatics were more dominant with less overall performance in winter). So delicious! When I miss my sweet vanillas in the hotter seasons, I can wear this with no issues. I tried one of my beloved colder season vanillas on a warm spring day and hated that I did. It was too humid for it, even with 1-2 sprays. But this! Works perfectly . Update: I’ve gotten my nose on the other similar fragrances stated. They are all extremely similar. Delox and K’bridge club is like 99.8% similar. If you have one, you definitely don’t need the others unless you just like collecting. I came across K’bridge first so that’s what I went with, also I like this bottle the best and think it’s the best quality (subjective). If you like this scent profile, no choice is really a bad one.

I have recently sampled this again after maybe a year of leaving my sample alone, because, yes, it smelled remarkably similar (if not the same) to Intense Cafe. However, after giving the latter my recurring attention over the past months, I decided to see if I would be able to pick up certain things from K’bridge I must’ve neglected on the first few times I’ve worn it. And no BS, there is a difference. The rose in K’bridge is a tad fleshier and floral and it’s paired with something more distinctly sugary than just vanilla. The coffee, much like IC, is a suggestion more than anything BUT in K’bridge, it does play a role in warming it up. Basically, how I perceived it is that there’s a tartness that’s distinctly...coffee-like along its periphery. You know how fresh espresso sort of gets this burnt caramel-ly smell in the air ?? Yes? No? Anyway, if you can distill that without any of the actual smell of coffee, concentrating on the sensation of the tartness tickling your nose, it’s basically THAT prickling the edges of it. However, the biggest difference that I appreciate is that it doesn’t have that musty musk in the dry down that for me dulls intense cafe and roses Vanille for me. I generally prefer ristretto IC because it has less of that muskiness but in K’bridge, it does away with it completely. Hence, in terms of how it behaves on my skin and how it projects, K’bridge really is the better option for me. The scent profile itself may be far too similar for most even if imo it’s distinguishable, but I’d rather give away IC and its flanker for a bottle of this!

Comparing this to Montale Intense Cafe and Ristretto Intense Cafe: Xerjoff K'Bridge opens with a fresh-baked vanilla angelfood cake. Lightly lemony milky custard, with fresh unnamed berries. Very sweet. The whole thing smells like a beautiful gourmet trifle. Smells more expensive than the Montale. No synthetic smells. No coffee, no woods, very little rose. Pure dessert. 9/10 Montale Intense Cafe opens with a creamy cappuccino note. There's a fresh rose bouquet on a wooden french cafe table. Almost imperceptible light cigarette smoke drifting in from somewhere in the distance. There's enough depth here, and it's not flat or lifeless. Medium sweetness. In drydown, the rose takes a backstage to a Vanilla flavored cappuccino. There's also something about this that makes me a little queasy in the stomach after a few hours. This does not happen with other Montale fragrances, or with the Xerjoff. 8/10 Montale Ristretto Intense Cafe opens with a strong bitter black coffee note. Quckly settles to an incongruous mix of citrusy sweet pot-pourri, fresh rose, and black coffee. Not as well-blended as the original Intense Cafe. No milky notes. 6/10

I had to get a full bottle right away after smelling a sample! K'bridge club is an intoxicating and beautiful sweet rose and vanille fragrance that has depth, mystery and nuance with that Xerjoff DNA in the dry down. And it comes in a gorgeous bottle. As with many Xerjoff fragrances, K'bridge club is not linear. It gets less sweet and more woody and balsamic over time, while retaining rose and vanilla notes. It lasts 12+ hours and has good sillage. As for comparison to other fragrances... I have to say though, K'bridge club prompted me to try Intense cafe, and if you like this style of fragrance, it's worth getting both. It's in the same genre as Montale Intense cafe, but I wouldn't consider it a dupe as Montale is linear and lacks some of the nuances that appear in the Xerjoff fragrance. K'bridge club is less sweet and jammy, especially in the dry-down, one might say less "synthetic" smelling, even if I enjoy and wear both and wouldn't necessarily recommend one of the other. It's not really that similar to Oud Satin Mood or other rose + oud + vanille fragrances that I have come across, even if the general vibe might be similar.

So, let's start off with that I hate Roses Vanille. To me, it's too spicy and too simple. It literally just smells... very cheap to me, like just roses and spice - nothing more to it. At first, when I tried my sample of this, it smelt like TWO perfumes I hate: Roses Vanille and Dama Bianca, with a hot-and-cold kind of feel to it. I didn't get any caramel at first - just the spicy rose, some cold lily of the valley, and I immediately disliked it. However, K'Bridge Club clanged after the first month or so; now it's a balanced spicy rose - much less spicy than Roses Vanille. I really dislike the sharpness the cedar gives Roses Vanille - I much prefer coriander as the spice added to the rose. I also clearly smell the caramel. There are also some other notes in the background that blend everything together to make this more seamless. If you want the ultimate spicy rose, don't care about the cost, but care about tiny differences, K'Bridge is the best one, IMO - it's a very smooth spicy rose. However, I' not quite impressed with the longevity.
