Soprano

First and fore-mostly, I do apologise for the stress on the likeness between this and MFK’s Oud’s Satin Mood. It bears too much of a resemblance to me to not base my subjective view of this. OK, I’m in two minds whether I like this or not. As a fragrance it is lovely, however that being said due to it’s extreme likeness to MFK’s Oud Satin Mood (to me personally), and the fact that if compared to said fragrance that it fails to capture. MFK’s is more French Perfumery’ if there is such a phrase/term. It’s lovely, but for me doesn’t last long. MFK’s fragrances for some obscure reason don’t like my skin. There was part of me that wished this did indeed smell like MFK’s Oud Satin Mood, as mentioned by previous reviewers, because I’m a big fan of Xerjoff, and was hoping they would come up with something different yet similar, alas to me it’s just a longer lasting, and more powdery version of Oud Satin Mood, which also by the way lends to MFK’s OSM to being redundant if you own this, but if I had to own one, then I would probably opt for MFK. That is by no means saying that this is not a great fragrance no, rather it’s saying that MFK does it with more elegance. I blind bought this, as I do most of my fragrances, yet if I had known what it smelled like before purchasing, I’d have opted for MFK, so I’m a little bit disappointed as I am in two minds; keep this and forget about MFK? Or do I sell this on and purchase MFK? Forgot to add; this is a completely unisex fragrance to me, and it appears to sit on the skin and is not going anywhere soon. I do love it, I just don’t smell most of the notes mentioned, and can not see past it being a powdery version of MFK’s OSM. Update: OK, I sprayed one wrist with MFK’s OSM and the other with Soprano. I’ve found that MFK is more linear and singular to a degree than what Soprano is. I also noticed that Soprano last longer and projected more. I retract my above statement about preferring MFK over this, I would choose this over MFK, and since originally posting this review, I’ve fallen in love with this scent, to a degree it’s now in my top 3 Xerjoff fragrances, it’s not as versatile as say Renaissance or Naxos, but also not as restricted to Malesia or Dallah. I think it’s versatile within certain constraints, but a subjective one. I wouldn't wear this to the gym, but I might wear it to the office on a Friday, and I’d most certainly wear it casually as well as formally, day or night, no idea if I’d wear this on a hot day, I’d leave that up to Mefisto, Renaissance, Uden and Naxos. I personally would recommend it

My beautiful baby, after months, finally in my hands. You have a rose pattern, an oud pattern, a powdery pattern. Performance and silage are already divine 😅 The only bad thing I can say is migraine trigger 🙈 because even if you spray it once, the smell stays for a long time in the room you spray 😁 Ideal for those who are looking for performance 👌🏻 The scent quality is already a complete Xerjoff quality, what can I say. As soon as you spray it, you can feel that you are smelling something luxurious and high quality. There are many who compare it to MFK Oud Satin Mood. In my opinion, this is much, much better than Oud Satin Mood. If you ask why, because the oud feeling in this one is much lighter than Oud Satin Mood. It has more sweetness (which is good for me🤩) and there is a powdery touch that gives a sweet makeup feeling as it dries down on the skin 💄 This and Sospiro Soprano are the same perfumes by the way. You can choose whichever you find more affordable 🤗 Although it leans feminine side due to its sweetness, it is still a perfume suitable for men's use, in my opinion. Perfect for winter

Listen I know everyone have their own preferences but man..... if I see you talking trash about Soprano I’m gonna slap you on the back of your neck cause dude !.... This is a MASTERPIECE of a fragrance.... I just received it two days ago and wasted no time trying it boy was I in love. Not to mention I blind bought it !. Yes it is fruity but not heavily , you get touches of oud accords along with a creamy scent creeping in the background while it’s being musky . The quality of this fragrance is superb 10/10 Longevity 10/10 Projection 10/10 ( after hours of applying I still get compliments even when I go nose blind ) Uniqueness 8/10 ( it does remind me of OSM just a tad bit) Versatility 7/10 ( it can be worn year round but you can’t wear this going to run errands or to the gym... it’s a party banger for a classic event or something sophisticated). Just give sample it and see for yourself

This fragrance completely changed my view on heavy florals. I’m stunned! (Male POV) The opening hits hard! Fruits and florals explode right away, with lychee being the most prominent note. The florals do bleed into the opening. It’s strong enough to fill a small room with just one spray, and while synthetic at first, it works. As it settles, it turns into a more creamy and floral with rose and jasmine, the fruits keeping it sweet/fresh and balanced. The dry down adds some depth without being heavy or overpowering, and the oud is clean and subtle. Longevity and projection are impressive, it really fills the air. Honestly, it made someone like me, who usually avoids heavy florals, actually start enjoying them. 9/10. Absolutely beautiful in the air. Also this is about 70% feminine to me. I still don’t care though, i’m gonna keep rocking this.

When a scent leaves the bottle and touches the skin, what’s left to speak about is the emotions, they’re either there or they’re not, depending on the fragrance. Soprano by Xerjoff is a perfume that speaks on the skin, and awakens emotions. Surprising from the beginning with a hit of glossy accords overloaded with playful mischief. Scrumptious litchi and tender plum mingle on the skin with succulent delight wrapped in the lactonic presence of a milk accord. A bouquet of luscious roses, jasmine and freesia penetrates through the fruity tones revealing a sense of heavenly shimmer. Soprano wears like a purple tuxedo, velvety and utterly divine. The fruity floral heart ensures the palpable feeling of luxury, while the sweet woody edges of patchouli, the exoticism of oud and depth of leather, capture, intrigue and conquer the senses.

This doesn’t smell like intense cafe! There’s a more floral and earthy facet to soprano that makes it so much more classy. I feel like a rich b* wearing this. I also pick up the freesia which makes it more wearable in warmer months. I discovered this scent in a Xerjoff boutique in Greece and had to get a bottle immediately. And I’m usually not a rose oud kinda gal! I actually did not like oud satin mood which is this compared to a lot. Soprano is more feminine and way more wearable! But I can still see a well-dressed classy guy pull this off as well. If we’re comparing scents to intense cafe, K bridge club can be compared to it way more but I still prefer k bridge club because it’s richer and the florals are less screechy. Just my nose though.

Artistically gourmand, like a sip of sweetened condensed milk with a generous portion of fruit and roses blended in. Soprano is sweet and extremely creamy. The lychee and white flowers are very tangible here. There is an innocence to Soprano, in my opinion, but not naivety. It is a fragrance that wants to give simple pleasure, and hopes to receive simple appreciation; it is not looking to be sexually appealing (though it is not unappealing in that way). It reminds me of Rose Jam a little, but creamier, richer, and less playful. I would be happy to have a full bottle of this. I don’t know if I’ll buy one, but maybe.

Bought this on a blind punt, for my wife for Xmas & wow! Had to google Litchi to see if it was the same as Lychee but yes it is.Lychee is not something I'm around much but I get a cassis/blackcurrant smell, so maybe that's the Lychee? The sillage on this is impressive, my wife was walking at least 4 m in front of me & I was getting this, bearing in mind at the time I was wearing Italica so impressive! Scent trail lasted a good 3-4 hours & then gradually died down to a skin scent.Never really got the leather but a more muted less sweet fruit. Very impressed & worth every penny.

I got this because I love my bottle of Rose Explosion and wanted something similar I could wear more often without draining my out-of-production RE bottle. Does the job. I’m not always a fan of the top notes, specifically the fruit accords. They might be growing on me. But the dry down to a rose oud is really nice, soft and almost powdery. Not sure I needed the full 3.4 oz because you need to be very sparing spraying this one, it’s overpowering and too much can be a sensory overload. Still, I love it. A nice one for an evening out.

To my nose, this is a bit similar to Montale Intense Cafe, with fruity and floral notes. I’ve been getting more and more into gourmand scents lately and this is just gourmand heaven (however it says here that it is floral oriental... hmm) I don’t even care for the season anymore, just wearing gourmands whenever in the mood for them, they just make me happy. Yet to check longevity but seems like this is potent stuff and will last long. Love at first sniff for me, 10/10, I got a 50 mL bottle and very happy with it.

Soprano is a great name for this, because it's certainly hitting a high note with me. Lightly sweet and fruity up top, with a gloriously full and realistic rose at the heart and smooth, oud dry down. If you enjoy rose/oud fragrances a la Delina or Atomic Rose, definitely give this one a sniff.

So sexy for a date night. Can't really see the similarities to OSM other than how creamy and intoxicating they both are. But this isn't a solid dupe to OSM. Sample it first, not a safe blind buy. P.s my date said he could still smell my perfume on his jacket and car the day after.

If you want to smell like rose milk tea with boba, this is the fragrance. I'm absolutely obsessed with the rose, lychee, freesia, osmanthus, and milk combo. So good 🥰🥰🥰

Perfection! Soprano is a very beautiful happy uplifting parfum.

This was a pleasant surprise and id rate it a solid 4. I'm not a huge fan of Oud (perhaps my nose needs to mature a bit) and i dont love patchouli but decided to blind buy this anyway because i love rose, lychee and lactonic notes and i found a great deal at a big discounter for it. It's blended very well and the notes almost dance together very nicely off my skin. There's not too much of anything to me and as it was a risky blind buy for me, i was prepared for especially the oud and patchouli, but not so! It's probably the most unintimidating rose-oud ive smelled. The lychee brings a nice bit of sweetness and the milk note just smoothes everything out. No scratchiness, no piercing notes but there is a lot of herbally patchouli in the dry down. It's so well blended I could even see this being a daytime frag in the winter maybe fall, but for spring/summer this would need to stick to the evenings for me. It reminds me of a niche much more complex version of angel nova, though no where near as sweet and certainly not the same frag but in the same style, at least on my skin. Good performance, like most xerjoff, and very well done. Definitely a great value as far as the xerjoff range goes. Good price, excellent quality. Check it out.

I tested this by an accident. I thought that I was spraying Accento... I am not a female and that is why when I spray a fragrance that leans more female, I imagine my sister wearing it to get a better perspective. I think this would suit her nicely. I do not like female leaning fragrances most of the time since most of them are cloying and suffocating this is right on the edge of suffocation. The rose note is really noticable in this one, which I find quite interesting. Until today, the only rose based fragrance that I liked was Burberry's Brit for Men. I feel like this fragrance is a nice break from all the cloying, typical female fragrances. However I still like fresh fragrances for women more than these. 7/10

@Irena Victoria This is really weird, I had the same experience with Wardasina from Xerjoff: When I received my full-size bottle from Xerjoffuniverse.com, I didn‘t believe what I smelled! Nasty patchouli and saffron! After a few days it became more similar to what I‘ve smelled before when I sprayed it in a shop. Do the Xerjoffs really need time to rest? Anyway, Soprano is a velvety warm mild rose. It reminds me very much of MFK Oud Satin Mood. But Soprano i milder, more appropriate for spring/summer (because of the ylang ylang) and smells a bit less ‚old school‘ and much more fruity.

This is sooo refined, first blast there's so much rose that my nose twiched (rose overdose from choppard love & seljuke and juliette has a gun lady vengeance and likes), but when it settled... pure bliss...it lasts and is not overbaring.

I get 9+Hrs outta this one. Very nice creamy & fruity scent. The Oud is there, but just to play a supporting role for the rest of the notes. Two sprays is all you need. Great for Fall & Winter.

This is definitely fem leaning but the rose really drowns out the fruity notes on me. Still a pretty perfume for spring.

It definitely shares DNA with L'Extase Rose Absolue(Nina Ricci), Velvet Rose and Oud(Jo Malone) and Oud Satin Mood (Francis Kurkdjian, who btw is the nose behind Nina Ricci's Rose). Xerjoff Soprano is a truly refined but I would rather buy L'extase Rose instead, since it would have better value. However, I have not smelled anything similar to Xerjoff's Italica, I would definitely recommend to check it out , if you like sweet perfumes.

It’s ok but this is an uninspiring rose, oud and leather fragrance. Very bland and generic, this is so disappointing because I thought this would a dark jammy rose with a touch of oud and leather. The velvet bottle is gorgeous but the scent does not belong in a luxury niche house. This scent belongs in a mid-tier designer range. This is not worth the retail price nor the price with fragrance discounters.

This would've been perfect if they removed the leather in the base and replaced it with vanilla. Edit - I just can't get behind this fragrance. The fruity notes combined with the rose+oud is gorgeous but the leather drowns out any "milkiness" and leaves a heavy powderiness in the dry down. It makes the scent smell very dry and heavy.

Rose and oud is a combo I am just not drawn to. In the slightest. The oud ages and takes away from the rose, and the oud loses its mystery because it's covered in flowers. Blech.

Rose + Oud.....enough enough enough already. It's nice and nicely blended, good quality, but I just don't care for that combination. Imagine Intense Cafe + added oud, basically.

VERY similar to MFK Oud Satin Mood unfortunately for me, I dislike both but thankfully this is a little milder. To me the opening of Soprano scent is the interior of a car with a really synthetic fruity air freshener. The car has been in the sun all day, & you can smell the hot leather interior with the air freshener but also maybe an open packet of cleaning wipes as I get baby powder/soapy/cleaning product vibes. It’s loud, it’s screechy, sickly & sweet. Slightly more palatable in the dry down as it becomes more powdery & creamy but overall: yuck, not for me.

I just d'ont like it. Seeing the good reviews below I wonder if mine is a fake perfume bottle even though I had compared the scent with a real bottle in the mall just to make sure.

smells like an old house that just had febreeze sprayed all over. This fragrance is absolutely horrible

This was actually my second or third Xerjoff. I just wanted another Xerjoff so badly and I absolutely loved the bottle (royal purple is my favorite color) so I purchased it! Big mistake lol! Notes about the OUD: This fragrance is lovely, a perfect creation. It definitely matches the elegance of the bottle. People will say the oud is undetectable but unfortunately that's not neccesarily the case. Of course it depends on how predisposed one is to oud of course but honestly I would say even for the average person, you can still definitely smell the oud, it's just a very high quality clean oud and it's so well blended and burried in the background that even if you dislike oud, you can still wear and enjoy this. The Smell: As will all Xerjoffs, the composition is blended to perfection. But overall, I would describe the smell as a strong classic rose with hints of oud and a very green patchouli. On skin, the rose/oud and patchouli/leather are balanced 50/50. But in the air, people will mostly smell a strong powdery rose with a bright tart frutiness from the litchi. A few hours in when the aggressive patchouli has died down the milk and sweetness come out and it becomes smoother and more approachable. Some people will say this smells like old Lady because the rose is in a more classic style. It's very dry and powdery. It's a pink rose but definitely not a young, fresh, or aquatic rose like we are used to seeing with modern designers. But it smells very elegant. Quality: The rose and patchouli is very very strong, almost nuclear. Actually, it is nuclear. DO NOT overspray. One to two sprays is definitely enough and it lasts forever. I should NEVER have bought the 100ml smh! After a few hours, the strong patchouli dissipates and you smell a lovely sweet powdery rose. It doesn't belong in my collection (or yours if): I've had this for years and I think I've worn it all of three times. Rose is really not my thing at all and this is one of those scents where I fell in love with the dry down and not the actual wear. Plus, this is a special occasion scent at its core. Think red carpet, galas, and the like. Even if I wanted to wear this, I never have an occasion too. It's far too strong and exquisite for daily wear imo. So it sits on the shelf while I wait to become rich enough to attend galas on a regular basis so it can get some use! In Summary: Nuclear projection, sillage, lasting power You must really love rose Best in fall or winter but can be worn year round Oud is in there but nothing to be scared of Very special occasion only, hard to fit into daily life. The sweetness is tart for the majority of the wear, don't expect a sugary sweet or vanilla rose. It's bright and sour like citrus. Hope that helps. Cheers!

When I received my bottle of Soprano, I was like "NO, what is this?" It smelled like nasty patchouli and leather, nothing else. It's been sitting in a dark closet for 2 weeks. Shipping, shaking and temperature changes mess up the formula, I've noticed that Xerjoffs especially need time to rest. Now I get those sweet milky notes, spicy Indian chai latte. Lots of rose, rosewater (retro vibes), not my favorite type of rose. Oud is NICE, sweet and smooth, not stinky at all, thank god...goes well with soft patchouli. Can't smell leather anymore. I expected more fruity notes to make that rose less old fashioned, but oh well... Not fruity at all. Basically, it smells like a spicy, sweet, hot, milky tea from an Indian restaurant, in a wood cup, with rosewater on the side and rose petals all over. Complex. Changes constantly, until it goes linear at 6 hour mark. Great performance, lasts for 12+ hrs, and for weeks on clothes. Gets sweeter and more gourmand towards the end. I'm getting Oud Satin Mood vibes, not a dupe, Soprano is weirder... It has nothing to do with Mancera Roses Vanille (Montale Intense Cafe), not even close... I wanted to resell, but my SO complimented me on it, and he hates all my perfumes (all 300 of them, except for this and Versace Crystal Noir). He said, "FINALLY you are wearing a perfume that smells nice... like a freshly baked banana bread...and it makes the whole house smell nice". What on Earth... Banana bread?? It's all roses to me... Now I have to keep it. Nuclear? Yes. Safe? No. Will layer with a basic vanilla lotion and Oud Satin Mood hair mist. Will be nice, I think...

Soprano is the highest pitch human voice can reach in classical opera, and what I can say is this perfume lives up to its name quite well. You can smell the class, the quality and the artistry out of this gorgeous velvet bottle. It is not an easy perfume, the composition is complex. There's a bright quality to it in the opening, the lychee and freesia are quite prominent with a hint of citrus and then it goes deeper around 5-10 minutes later when the rose comes out to play. It's milky, it's sweet, but there's also some dirtiness, some animalic feel to it (probably comes from the jasmine component) adding a mysterious vibe that keeps me going back to smell my wrist, trying to figure it out. It takes quite some time to get into the base note, and yes there's oud and patchouli wrapping up the sensual Bulgarian rose but don't expect the usual oud-rose combination, because this is not. It's strange but in a good way in my opinion. With that being said, I'm not quite sure that this is for me though. It's not the feeling I have when I first got Ouverture. For Soprano, it's a bit difficult to understand and I probably should give my untrained nose more time to fully appreciate it. Just like the art of Opera, you have to have ears for it which need experiences and understanding of the story as it's not just the type of music but the drama and all the artforms pouring into the act. You could get carried away by the magical voice of the Soprano itself or you might sit there in the auditorium in front of the stage, thinking what am I doing here, I thought I came to see The Nutcracker!

Gorgeous rose oud, surprisingly soft and feminine considering there is oud in there and my general experience of Xerjoffs being super bombs. This is a caress of a perfume, not a screamer or a bomb, but definitely strikingly beautiful and arabic. Tart too with the lychee but only just. The oud is definitely there but absolutely subtle enough to not overpower the rose and fruitniess. Normally I don't place exotic fruits into ouds but this one works. The oud is very understated. So is the leather but I as the oud that one is a soft base tone. All softened up with a milkiness, it really is well blended out and beautiful. Good one from Xerjoff, definitely leans feminie though. Softer than MFK oud satin mood. Less sweet.

Don't understand why the votes are 3-5 on Intense Cafe. This is literally Intense Cafe. Xerjoff has another fragrance called K'Bridge Club that also smells EXACTLY like Intense Cafe. Oud Satin isn't an exact play on the same profile as it is more of an amber-floral with sweetness vs. Soprano mainly a sweetened rose with no ambers; but it's close enough, relatively speaking, to offer the reader an idea. I'm just bored with this release. Masterpiece of a fragrance? Really? That's what we're doing now? There's like 20 derivatives of this on the market just among the known niche brands alone, from K'Bridge Club to GF Gold to Intense Cafe / Roses Vanille to Delox to Grape Pearls and so, so many more.

-Opens really sweet smelling. Like it was intended for a younger audience. -Feminine, clean, pleasant and somewhat unique. -Dries down to a reveal a strong honey note.. like real honey from that adorable jar that Winnie the Pooh lugs around. -While i enjoy the dry-down, the opening and middle notes leave one wanting more for the niche price this is going for. (-) *Update* Comparison to Rose All Dae by Gallagher Fragrances -Soprano is geared towards a younger audience than Rose All Dae. Similarities are perhaps at 30% tops. -Soprano doesn't share the sweet liqueur note you would find in Rose All Dae. It's more bubbly, like sparkling water in a pretty bottle at an upscale grocer's.

Holy lychee!!! Crazy burst of lychee at the start. Giving me major nostalgia for my childhood. Did my grandma smell like this? I dunno, I feel an emotional connection to this. For me there's an Asian incense note in here that might be triggering these sense memories. It's also quite a powerful scent and powerful sillage. Leans more mature, but again...is this because I'm reminded of my grandma in a very good way?? Shit, I think it's because it smells very much like a Chinese soap my grandparents used to wash their laundry with. The bar soaps wrapped in colorful paper like pink, green, purple called the 'Bee and Flower' brand soap. Omg...

The fragrance begins with a tropical fruit salad with a citrusy, spicy and sweet character, highlighting an exotic acidity of lychee mixed with the sweet green floral freshness of freesia. In the center comes the flagship of the fragrance: a floral bouquet dominated by a fiery rose, closely followed by jasmine, with the peculiar sweetness of osmanthus and an unusual creamy lactonic accord. A sweet and warm 'oud that makes its presence felt, but without extravagance or difficulty, gives way to a velvety soft leather, followed by patchouli, which reinforces the woody facet at the base. A delicious and bombastic gourmand perfume.

Amazing, beautiful scent. Yes it has some similarities to flowerbomb rose explosion to my nose, though that one is much spicier and heavier on the rose and oud. This one opens deliciously fruity, I mostly get the lychee, and then it morphs through out the day into this sweet rose and oud confection. The combination of fruits, rose and a dark base reminds me of how la nuit tresor is also combined. Not similar mind you, just the vibe. I get no similarity to OSM. I love it so much. Made it to my top five in no time. Projects beautifully and lasts moderately on my skin.

Une très belle surprise ! Assez inattendue chez Xerjoff, surtout dans cette collection. Soprano fait pour moi partie des parfums qui se démarquent dans cette maison : c'est le parfum que Cléoopâtre aurait pu porter si elle eu voulu incarner une énergie féminine qui revête beaucoup de douceur. Une rose oui, mais lactée, pas une rose aqueuse ou sur-sucrée dont on a l'habitude. Peut rappeler la tendance de cet accord "litchi/rose" mais réalisé à la perfection. Un bain tiède dans une baignoire recouverte de pétales ...

I m hvn trouble with this fragrance; on some days d dry down smells like an edible vanilla bread pretty interesting n on some like earthy herbal/ herbal oil. Everytime i hv made sure to hydrate my skin with fragrance free moisturizer n tested n thats what i get. I collect fragrance hv around 76 perfumes; i guess i shd avoid fragrance with leather, oud n patchouli as base notes but this is the only fragrance in which i hv experienced a shift between edible vanilla bread n earthy herbal feel in dry down.

Sampling some Xerjoff today. To my surprise, Soprano pulled a soapy note on me I'm not big on. Might be the freesia. Muse has a pretty opening, but ultimately too sweet and cloying for me to enjoy. Like a grape candy or popsicle. Scrubbed it off, but will revisit later. Sometimes I have to make additional attempts, so I won't write it off just yet. Prefer Opera from this line - it was creamy and well-blended; enjoyed that one right away. Still working up the courage to sample Alexandria II.

Masterpiece 10/10 comparing this to a Montale fragrance really makes me wonder if these reviews are fake lol... this is so far from montale it’s not even funny... this perfume is so unique creamy and beautiful fruits and white florals on full blast... I also have the sospiro version so maybe it was reformulated under xerjoff? - I’ll have to sample the xerjoff one and I’ll update my review but the sospiro one is out of this world! Smells nothing like MFK or montale.

Soprano Overall: 8/10 Projection: 8/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 7/10 Comments: Soprano is a wonderful fragrance. The litchi and rose are the dominant notes of this perfume. It has the staying power I've come to expect from Xerjoff which is wonderful for a fruity floral. The milk accord isn't very strong on my skin but I think it's fine without it. Some of the reviews for this fragrance have me questioning if they truly tried the perfume so be wary.
