notes breakdown an % preceived: * fruity berries, quince 30% * sweets, like vanilla caramel chocolate 20% * peach 20% * other: rose patchouli oud 10% * unlisted: strong cotton candy note in dry down 20% === what this frag smells like: fruity, milky, vanilla cotton candy first blast is fruity from red berries. there is a milky vanilla feel to it soon, with a tiny drop of smooth oud. the oud is barely even there , almost zero. you can even say theres no oud an its just marketing an imagination as it move to dry down it is very good smelling, delicious, almost gourmand, smooth. there is a strong cotton candy blend here but its not listed in offical notes. imagine light cotton candy with fruits an vanilla you know what? it smells excellent. quite possibly the best smelling xerjoff ever made. not cloying, even at 5 sprays for the office. very smooth, warm, fruity. excellent vibes. i wore it for 3 days straight as my sotd, with each day increasing in the number of sprays because i loved it so much. 3-6 sprays is a-ok an is crowd pleaser, safe for all environs. versatile, perhaps not in summer. will get complements leans very slightly feminine with a slight "designer" vibe like you smell it in a young girls perfume at dept store, but it is blended well an complex enough to not appear designer ish === performance an usage: above average performer. i rec 3-6 full sprays. lasts 10+ hours. safe for work. unfortunately, low/med sillage, but high longevity. will get complements === conclusion an rating: quite possibly the best smelling xerjoff i have ever seen (an i've smelled 90% of the line). to put this into perspective, i wore it for 3 straight days with increasing number of sprays on each subsequent days. it's competing with my colleciton of a shit load of other high end perfumes, an cavour 1 was worn for 3 days straight, it tells you this is special. the performance could be amped up in terms of sillage an projection though not to mention cavour 1 is actually cheaper in price than the other frags in xerjoff's shooting stars lineup rating: 9/10 (price is not factored) buy/try/pass: buy (price is factored)

As a quince and chocolate fan, I was dying to try Via Cavour 1 since I have heard Erica on YT praising it so highly. If I remember correctly it was her favourite fragrance from Xerjoff at some point in time... Today I have found it by chance in a store and I have jumped on the occasion to try it and it’s nice. It’s nothing mind blowing in all honesty, but it’s really a great gourmand perfume. Smells like a warm, decadent, expensive desert made by a famous cook! If you’re a female who enjoys a sweet (caramel and chocolate sweetness), fruity floral, vanilla/amber based perfume, there is no way to dislike Via Cavour 1!!! It’s done in the classic Xerjoff style, clean and elegant, with high quality ingredients and performance to match the price. For those who are fans of La Capitale I would say it’s very likely that you will love Via Cavour 1. Both perfumes have the same addictive quality that hooks you into the smell instantly and makes you sniff your skin continuously, until the smell fades. Both these two Xerjoff perfumes are amazing, refined and long lasting, feminine and fun. Together with Torino 21, Via Cavour 1 will go on my to buy list. This might work even during spring and fall, because of its scent DNA, so it’s more likely that I will purchase Torino 21 first for the upcoming summer. Bangers both anyway!!

My goodness, where do I even begin? I randomly got a sample of this, and this is my introduction to niche fragrances, so this will always hold a special place in my heart. Also, my future wife loves this fragrance. This is the best smelling cologne I have ever smelled. The sweetness and booziness with the caramel and peach is delectable. The chocolate, rose, and patchouly give it immense depth, and the oud, amber, and musk base make this fragrance last forever. It is delicious. It projects immensely, with an almost 3 foot scent bubble for the first 6 to 8 hours. It has enormous staying power, lasts almost the whole day to 16 hours on skin, and will last weeks on clothes. Definitely a nighttime fragrance, and would recommend mostly for fall and winter. This is a very formal fragrance, would not go well in casual environments. Would not do well in the heat. But for the occasions that you will use it, this is probably the best fragrance that you could ever have. This is significantly better than PDM Althair, MFK Grand Soir, and Kilian Angel Share in my opinion. Blind buy safe. Please if you are considering buying this fragrance, just pull the trigger. You will thank me. I do not understand why this is not one of the most popular fragrances.

The first time I sprayed this fragrance all I got was roses; like a box of little rose scented hand soaps and I resigned myself to thinking I had made a mistake. But here I am on my third wear and Via Cavour I is proving to be oh so lovely. Yes, it opens with a slightly soapy rose that almost competes with the tart sweetness of the top notes, but then the rose softens. What emerges next is a blend of very light powdery chocolate mixed with red berries. This with the patchouli makes it not quite edible but still delicious. The powdered lightness stays as the base unfolds into a creamy sweetness. Nothing here is overwhelming or cloying - I find no base note too distinctive (not even the oud). Instead I find another sophisticated beauty from Xerjoff blended to perfection. I am a big fan.

Recently acquired Via Cavour I and for those that have not already experienced it, WOW. A drop dead gorgeous fragrance and exclusive to the Turin flagship boutique To my nose a very alluring and sensual grape-like boozy cocktail garnished with white chocolate shavings & sipped through a primitive straw made of agarwood. All presented on an aromatic wooden table radiating its quality and vintage with a sophisticated sweet musky aroma that has been dusted with a flour textured coating of vanilla. This composition is blended as if Mother Nature herself created the nectar and the artisans at Xerjoff extracted it directly from a tree out of the garden of Eden and aged it in the finest wooden barrels know to man. A phenomenal jewel of an offering from a house heavily studded with them.

It opens with a big dose of patchouli, more of the chocolaty type. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but give it 20 minutes, it developes to a fruity, ambery, chocolaty rose scent, sitting on a vey light oudy base. The oud is really really subtle, just adds the depth to the scent. This is the most beautiful stage to me, and actually very addictive. The rose oud combo gets more prominent in the later stage. I totally don't mind the oud done here. However, the whole wearing experience is so light. I could only smell myself for an hour or two after a good amount of sprays. I really wonder how others can get eternal longevity and enormous siallge based on the vote...

I put two testers in the same box so mistakenly gave my original review here of VVCAM by Kilian, not VC1. VC1 is a very different beast. I don't like rose but its not really noticeable here. This is unlike anything else I've tried and I love it. Projection is amazing, 30 feet away on another floor it was detectable and it lasts. 10 hours later it was still there. Xerjoff are high quality and you do get what you pay for. I exhausted my sample pretty quickly and a 50ml bottle is on its way to me as I type this, just in time for the cold, dark seasons for which it is perfect. Definitely not a blind buy and you need to wear it at least twice to truly appreciate it.

I have to change my opinion on this, as I was very much affected by the sweet candy like vibe in the opening in a negative way and I almost sold it. This is a very elegant fragrance and I repeat a very elegant fragrance. The vanilla in this is dry and very nicely combined with other elements of rose and a slight hint of oud. Oud is not loud in this and other floral aspects come into play very nicely and smoothly. It also reminds me of Tom Ford's Noir de Noir in a passing, but not in a way that you can say they are both similar. It has good longevity with a satisfactory sillage and projection. Never ever buy without trying!

Pleasantly surprised by a sample of this. Luxurious and sensual with the quince and peach opening and the caramels rose oud underneath. The rose is well blended into the fruit so it’s not a very noticeable rose at least to me. Quince is an interesting note and I think it is much better incorporated here than in Pas Ce Soir where is has a slightly off but sensual impression, here it is just the sensual aspects. A light oud with no funk is in the base as well. Good projection as well. A bit of a sleeper from Xerjoff. Tempted to go for a full bottle.

Turin Exclusive CAVOUR I by Xerjoff is a fusion of enigmatic oriental nuances that creates an olfactory geometry impossible to forget. Patchouli and Oud wrap the majestic oriental in a base. CAVOUR I is undoubtably a superior blend, dangerously alluring, and nothing short of sublime.

What a beautiful work. To my nose chocolate and amber notes are the most prominent here with a bit of patchouli. I don't detect any rose or oud here ,luckily 😊.Read some comparisons with La Capitale, which I personally can't stand at all. See no similarity of Via Cavour I and la Capitale . Via Cavour I is very elegant , delicate and soft deep gourmand direction . Moderate projection. Very cozy. For me it is a perfect choice for autumn -winter season . ❤️

It reminds me of the dry down of More than words...I think it must be because of the rose, unisex turned a little feminine, overall fragrance 8.5/10, On my skin the rose/chocolate/vanilla and the oud stand out very well mixed , very subtle and charming. Ideal for dates, dinners, guaranteed compliments. However, when my wife uses it, the rose is perceived but much sweeter, almost gourmand , I do not perceive the oud. Easily exceeds 10 hours

I must say Cavour I is absolutely divine. Powdery, creamy, and a little sweet. Starts out with chocolate and fruits mixed with floral notes. Then dries with vanilla, cashmere powder with hints of chocolate. This is what I call "luxury gourmand". I love it and it's worth a full bottle when I can splurge on fragrances.This one is really expensive. But I have a feeling it will be a huge compliment magnet.

Pure luxury and super elegance. An ultra-smooth harmony of white peach and Moroccan rose at the heart of Via Cavour 1 is freshened by a note of tangy sweet red berry and quince on an enveloping base of soft oud and beautiful musk where one can detect vanilla and delicious caramelised chocolate. And yes, this is a magnet for compliments. Performance is also fantastic. Proudly 10/10

This is exactly the type of perfume I love: gorgeous but inoffensive, long lasting, all-year-round, all occasion appreciate, signature worthy. Sweet but not edible, fun and light but also with some depth. I thought I hate quince note and I definitely don't like vanilla. But blended with wood, musk, chocolate and red berries it's simply perfect! This is full bottle worthy for me.

This is seriously delicious! Via Cavour I smells like a warm, decadent dessert. The quince and peach are so bright and juicy at the beginning, then it dries down to this incredible mix of dark chocolate, rose, and vanilla. It's sweet but not overwhelming, and the oud adds a touch of sophistication. This perfume is definitely a crowd-pleaser.

I had never even heard of this one and discovered it while sniffing around one day. Absolutely love this one! I tested about 30 perfumes and this was the standout. I kept thinking about it and eventually ordered a bottle; It is a creamy, fruity floral that has a touch of woodiness as well. Very well blended. It is a very cozy scent.

In the vein of Xerjoff fragrances like La Capitale and Symphonium but less fruity to my nose than those fragrances. I detect the rose in this more. This really is like a rose/oud fragrance that's been dipped in chocolate, vanilla, and caramel, and with a slightly powdery edge. I quite like it!

Yummy Fruity seductive scent. Its like a melted high quality fruity candy smell. Has a bit of a mentholic undertone but nothing aromatic. Strong performer and has a character. I can imagine it would gather compliments. Does lean a bit feminine but its unisex also. I loved it.

I think this is great, it can be somewhat one dimensional. This is a love or hate fragrance, I personally love it. This can definitely be my go-to date night scent. It is hard to wear during the day and in high heat. But for intimate nights, this is amazing.

Probably the most elegant and sophisticated fruity perfume I know. Sweet but not sweet at the same time, it is so well blended that I can’t break down the notes. I am selling my own used bottle in EU for a good price, send a pm if interested.

an extremely well made fragrance. many floral fragrances smell synthetic. not this one. this is a floral scent done right. the dark chocolate notes are another lovely addition to this formula. very rich, bold and sensual

Smells like a more patchouli heavy Tom Ford Noir De Noir. I find this very hard to wear and I don’t think strangers would enjoy this scent because there is a stankyness in the background that smells animalic. 7.5/10

It’s the sexiest. Warm, elegant, regal, delectable. Not since Angels’ Share have I been so impressed. Think I like the Kilian more, but this is close. Definitely a fav from Xerjoff.

A Beautiful, seductive, sensual, sexy fragrance. This was the fragrance I got married in. Perfectly unisex - I almost love smelling it on my wife more than myself.

This is an absolutely stunning fragrance. Perfection in a bottle. In my opinion better than Alexandria II ( that I also own). My signature; love it!!!

Classier vers in on of Noir de Noir To me it’s unisex .if you are a guy who wear Noir de noir than you can easily wear this , no problem

I own and wear a few Xerjoff Casamorati fragrances. I like this house very much, so I decided to sample fragrances from another line. The gourmand-forward, vanilla-base, Casamorati fragrances are hard-to-beat, IMHO. I really love Italica and Lira. I wear one of the two fragrances nearly every day... I purchased generous Starlight and Via Cavour samples. I read nothing but glowing reviews about both fragrances. So, I hoped to decide if I should plunk down the substantial price for a full bottle of either fragrance. I like Via Cavour more than Starlight. Both are nice; however I prefer Via Cavour. And with this said, I don't think I would purchase a full bottle of either. Via Cavour opens with a burst of citrus, definitely the quince and pear fruits. Quickly Via Cavour morphs into a wearable, rose-patchouli, wood-musk fragrance. The fragrance is pretty but IMHO, a very ordinary, Oriental Floral Fragrance like the tens of thousands of Oriental Floral Fragrances currently on the mass and niche markets. Disappointingly, I detect little caramel, little vanilla and (thankfully) little chocolate. By no means does Via Cavour perform as a gourmand leaning fragrance. This fragrance is a very feminine, rose-patchouli, wood-base fragrance. Nice enough. Not distinct enough for me to purchase a full bottle at the hefty price point. Edited to Add: After wearing Via Cavour for a bit, to me it is "somewhat" reminiscent of a fruitier, more youthful, more contemporary Portrait of a Lady. While Portrait of a Lady is a thicker, denser, more resinous and a more incense laden fragrance, I DO detect some overlap between the two fragrances. I love Portrait of a Lady. Via Cavour just doesn't speak to me in the same way.

I finally got a sample and what an amazing fragrance! It starts off with a peachy quince bright blast and gradually fades into a chocolate and rose combo that is reminiscent of Oud Satin Mood meets FDB Oud Orange Intense. But a few hours into the dry down it goes into a different direction and becomes quite oudy. I have it on my arm now with Al Khatt on the other and it is weird that Al Khatt started out smelling like barnyard horses and Via Cavour like peach roses and chocolate, but now they smell very similar! Must be the Oud in the base. As it is, I have Symphonum and Begum, which are both better compositions in my opinion (more uplifting and complex and special) and so don't need this one...definitely a great fragrance but it could be redundant if you have any number of rose gourmands like FDB NY 5th Avenue or other Xerjoffs like Symphonium or Begum. If I didn't have these two (and Oud Orange Intense) I might consider it. The Torino boutique will sell it to you directly so that is always an option.

This leans feminine and I won't be buying it after sampling. I wouldn't leave a review normally but I am here say that while I won't be buying this, it is gorgeous and classy. Beautiful rose, peach, citrus, caramel, oud. There is something boozy about it. It reminds me of champagne or a fruity cognac drink like Alizé. This is the type of thing a woman should wear on her wedding day. It smells special, elegant, opulent, classy and celebratory. I can see people beautifully dressed clinking champagne glasses at a big table at a wedding reception. A man could wear this, but only if he was dressed impeccably in a suit. I recommend trying it. It wasn't even on my radar before I received a sample and I know Xerjoff fairly well. A bit of a lesser known gem.

This Scent was great! Very close to Tony iommi, I prefer Tony more, but it was better longevity and silllage, price as well! But I will say, my coworker had thought I could of had a spill with marinated berries, or like Hersheys Strawberry syrup, one of the worst things I had heard lmao, but I liked it, but it will for sure not be for everyone, especially depending on your taste, but it is great to try it out, but for sure as a sample first :)

Honestly quite confused by these reviews. For me it’s FAR from a gourmand, with it being HEAVY in rose and patchouli. Only in the opening of the scent do i smell hints of the listed notes (especially chocolate) Bought second hand so it may be an old batch. Decent otherwise but i am underwhelmed. Very similar to mancera royal vanilla, it surprised it wasn’t voted as so. Also slightly similar to xerjoff symphonium in the opening. 6.9/10

Pretty nice, the peach and quince is a little synthetic/designer smelling but paired with the rose and caramel with a faint whiff of some darkness underneath it is quite enjoyable. It has a gourmand style sweetness but not cloying. A somewhat sweet Chypre type of feel, this leans a touch too feminine for me personally so not bottle worthy for me, but the odd spritz indoors of the decant I have every now and again will be welcome.

First off let me just say that this is super unique and very sexy. Perfect for date nights or cold winter nights. Unisex 100% I know this scent is like crazy rare to find so best way to describe the smell is if you were to blend tabac rose by bdk with symphonium xerjoff. Longevity is excellent The only downside to this is after an hour or so the sillage becomes very weak on my skin. Overall 9.5/10

Via Cavour I: First, the longevity is very solid BUT the sillage becomes weak after max. one hour, and that’s NOT GOOD for a pricey niche perfume. It's 100% UNISEX and is perfect for cold winter nights/dates, it's cozy. Worth the price for a man? Well, if you like to smell like candy, fruity/jelly, and somehow airy, then you are fine. For me, it’s a NO.

This one is growing on me, but it’s definitely not what I was expecting. The opening smells a little like cat pee to me, but it mellows out after a few minutes, leaving you with a sweet, fruity, powdery rose with a hint of vanilla and patchouli. It’s unisex but leans feminine to me, which I don’t mind. The sillage and longevity are both great.

This is a rose bomb. I honestly can’t pick up on any chocolate that a lot of others are getting (maybe it’s just that well blended). This is a very nice feminine leaning smell, although I think a guy could pull it off. Sweet, rosey, patchouli, tutti frutti kinda vibe. I’ll give it a 7/10.

Opening is a weird mix of fruits and rose with a hint of chocolate, but it all blends together very well as it starts drying down. Very gourmand, decadent, downright edible. I like it, but the performance isn't great off my skin. Weak projection for 2-3hr, longevity 7-8hr.

Ol factory fatigue with this one. You may not smell it on yourself after an hour but trust me, others will notice it. Also my girl is very picky with scents and she enjoys it when I wear this one the most

The opening scent is definitely feminine. After an hour maybe 55:45 feminine/masculine. Scent is 8.5/10 but as a man, I wouldn't wear this. Just a little bit too feminine to me.

It's VERY well blended, I can't really identify the notes individually but what I get generally if I look at the notes while smelling it is berries and dark chocolate. I've tested out my sample multiple times, it just doesn't stand out to me. Just nothing special. I get a cozy vibe, but it's more of a place scent than a person scent. It reminds me a bit of the christmas fair/market if yk what I mean, you don't think "omg it smells nice in here!" it's just... the way it smells in there. Not a scent I'd wear on my body. It's unisex but leans a litttttle bit more feminine to me as it's a bit sweet. It does have decent longevity and projection, but it's a pass for me.

First impression: opens very yummy, there’s quince note, reminds me same opening as in Tommy Iommy, no performance or longevity, 15 minutes and I can’t smell anything. Basically it’s some sort of Frankenstein’s monster, opening - Tony Iommy ( for about 5 minutes), or Kemi Aurum like opening, mid and dry down watered down - Al-Khat. Very upsetting performance for such price. I bought my bottle from Xerjoff Universe website, so I don’t have any doubts about authenticity. I had 3 sprays on my arm only and I can’t detect any traces of perfume just 3 hours later.

No sense in really breaking this down I’ll be straightforward. This leans Feminine. The hype reviews stating Lady Killer and Distinguished Gentleman’s scent are highly exaggerated. Wear what you like of course. To me this leans more towards a feminine product type scent. I’m not putting it down as a bad scent at all. Just test this one especially if you’re a Man and your taste in fragrance leans masculine.

An aggressive rose, to my nose. The one that blows my eyebrows off. The same rose that’s beautifully interpreted in Noir de Noir, here it’s just nuclear. Then the oud shows up and it’s just too heavy. And they continue the slow dance until forever. It’s either love or hate. Considering the price, it’s worth giving another shot in colder weather, before moving on.
