Basic Bitch

I deeply tried to find a review for this that felt accurate and after smelling it and wearing it I don't feel like a lot of them captured the scent. This smells like Home Goods in the fall. It almost 100% smells like a fall candle. I wish fragrantica would update the image and name b/c this is now called Basic Witch. Xyrena for some reason seems to change names and packaging often. I wanted something that really felt like a PSL and this isn't really it, however layered with Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Cafe does lean closer to what I want but I think I need to wait for cooler weather to give this fragrance more a try. If anything, I do think this would be a nice room or blanket spray.

This evokes absolutely no feelings of basic bitchyness. It just smells a revolting concoction of synthetic notes. I wonder who buys full bottles of these conceptual fragrances that aren’t even meant to smell pleasant? Just unbelievable.

Where can I buy this?! Hahaha this is hilarious. And those notes... whaaat??? So odd but I want to get this for some friends as kind of a joke. I love it! Props to this line for stepping up and being creative. Something creative and new. Finally something other than only Vetiver, Sandalwood, Oud, or Vanilla. Creative marketing too. Although I will still love my Guerlains, this is in a completely different playing field. I own "Dalton Maldonado" from this line and I find myself reaching for it more often then you think. I always get compliments about how fresh I smell. (Just as frequent as Essenza or that light blue Versace homme.) It will be fun to try these new releases.

Wearing it today, after getting it about 5 years ago. I bought it for the name, and presentation, plus it was much less than full price. Never gave it a full wearing till now. I must say, a little goes pretty far. It's far into the dry down now. Sweet, musky, vanilla, and a touch of leather. Very cozy. It's not something that I'll wear a lot, but I'll never part with it. It's too fun.
