Opens citrusy clean, with an aquatic accord, you can already detect the musk in here. After some time, you get a faint driftwood accord, and the metallic bias ambergris you're looking for. It gets muffled by the musk however, and I suspect this is the difference between "Everyday use" and "Avant-garde", so you already know what you're getting youself into, and I can confirm that this is more of a safe frag than a dirty one, despite the notes. Pleasant frag overall but not FB worthy for me.

Does make me feel like I need to be on a boat. Now...it makes me feel like I need to be a post-retirement MAN on a boat, but the marine vibe is definitely there if that's what you're going for. I do like it and find it wearable, but it's safer and more like a classic cologne than I expected.

This one is very easy to describe. Jaws smells like a generic classic men’s cologne with a slight mineral touch in the base. It is not a bad scent by any means but it feels extremely familiar. It immediately brings to mind fragrances like an Acqua di Gio flanker or maybe Jimmy Choo Man Aqua. Fresh, aquatic, and safe. Xyrena’s strength has always been their marketing and presentation. The VHS-style packaging is excellent and stands out as one of the most creative concepts in modern fragrance branding. However, when it comes to the fragrance, many of the Xyrena offerings I have tried lean toward feeling like near-duplicates with minor twists. There are exceptions such as Dark Ride, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, and maybe Sleepaway Camp, which feel more distinct and concept-driven. The notes here even include “bloody metallic ambergris” and “Great White” musk on the official website, which suggest something unique or unconventional, but in practice the fragrance is a straightforward aquatic masculine scent that stays on the safe side from start to finish. This isn’t inherently bad, but given the concept and presentation, it feels quite restrained. All in all, the packaging and concept are the main highlights, and they’re a big part of why I’m glad to own it. But as for the actual fragrance, Jaws is pleasant yet ultimately forgettable, making it very much a take it or leave it choice for me when it comes to the scent itself.

Incredibly strong wet guy smell. If you told me this was vintage / on sale old spice I'd believe you. Not bad, just belongs on my dad not me

old school “men’s cologne” scent reminiscent of acqua di gio, hollister, abercrombie; but with a twist. the metallic and sand notes stand out and give it a unique take on the aquatic citrus profile. easy to wear but still unique enough to own

On my skin, this opens fresh but quickly turns into a very generic men’s cologne, almost like an aftershave. Sadly, it feels too common and unremarkable for me, and I was quite disappointed because I had high hopes for this!

Definitely leans more masculine. It almost smells like walking into Abercrombie in the 2000’s. Thankfully, my husband loves marine fragrances so I gave it to him. It isn’t wearable for me, but I love it on him!

I bet the "metallic ambergris" was called "blood" at first and universal was like nah
