Jurassic Park

I just received my bottle of Jurassic Park. First of all it is NOTHING like I was expecting but it is very evocative and fits the name well. It's a flanker to Dark Ride, which I have never smelled. It has a strong ozonic vibe off the rip. A major wet humid green accord with petchicor and soil. Like a wet greenhouse. The lilac and neroli keep it grounded as a wearable fragrance. Not strong or in your face but keeping it clean. There is a faint sour and sweet backbone to it from the black current. Tart but effervescent like cranberry ginger ale. The bromine water accord is where it gets kinda weird. in a way that I like but maybe polarizing to some. It has a strong REC CENTER WITH A POOL vibe that is very in your face. It's plasticy. Almost in the same way as Ghost in the Shell by ELDO. It really does remind me of being at a theme park. Epcot specifically. It's bright. Great for the summer and smells like no other fragrance I tried. I'm a petchicor fragrance truther and this tickles my fancy in a way most others don't. Wore it for about 6 hours and it dries down to an aquatic vibe similar to Olm by zoologist The packaging is really top notch. I collect VHS tapes and it is very close to a plastic clamshell case. The bottle is thick and it comes with some stickers to customize your bottle. The only thing I'm unhappy about is the sticker insert has a very obvious ai image of an alien. I'm not happy with that and would never buy from a company using ai. I hope they stop.

Opens very damp green, like petrichor but with a greeny facet still present, like trees in a forest but smoothed out, all with a faint neroli bias, then transitions to the main event: even more damp soil, and the oakmoss acts as the forest continuum here. There is a facet that gives off a heavy Dark Ride inspiration, not quite a public rec pool, but something in that vein but more brominated (dirtied up in the amber direction) on top rather than full chlorinated water. Its something I’d have to imagine a moist, dirty, overdue on maintenance, abandoned outdoor pool in a house that’s off the grid, in a jungle, but bromine was clearly used in an attempt to clean it. I was a bit worried about blind buying this due to being “safe for general wear,” but I’ve gotten comfortable trusting Killian Wells with what’s perceived as avant-garde or not (American Psycho for example, isn’t necessarily considered avant-garde, but it’s really good IMO). Here, this really is a more wearable flanker to Dark Ride, and I definitely can see using this interchangeably with my cheapies on occasion. Not trying to glaze mindlessly, but for the bizarre and the occasional everyday wear, this is just Killian here doing what he does best. + 1* Aquatic -> --

I'm gonna have to agree with Bananapeel's comment (the Epcot reference is actually spot on). It's a very ozonic, petrichor, humid green fragrance. It's a lovely fragrance BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT it's very much a intimate skin scent. I'm not saying I need beast mode but a little more projection and sillage would make it perfect. All in all a really good fragrance, I just want it a little stronger.

it smells fancy to me, elegant.

This is a superb watery green scent reminiscent of Synthetic Nature by Frederic Malle. I imagine this as the scent right near the drinking holes in the park, incredibly delicate and refreshing! Please make this available again Xyrena I need two more bottles !

this one is in my top 3 or 5 BEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME ... i was astonished / mesmerized AS A 10 y/o kid when i watch it at my local CINEMA !!!!! love to see this MASTERPIECE (as "THE BREAKFAST CLUB") has his own "HOMAGE" FRAGRANCE !!!!!!

straight up bromine 🫪 absolutely not blind buy safe in any way. if you don't like chemical smells, plastic, chlorine, etc., this is not for you.
