As a BDSM/fetish oriented frag, I'm surprised this doesn't have more reviews in general (probably due to the lack of sample availability)...in any regards, starts off sweetish, powdery, but with a strong bias of a spray can dispersing some sort of paint/volatile chemical as others are describing here, but that kind of bias slowly starts to settle down--the sweetness is much tamed out. Though I can see why a cherry leather connotation was made--you definitely can make it out if you look for it, but for me it's not a strong enough connection, in what you might expect to find in Cherry Punk Room 1015 (but with most of its sweetness stripped, somewhat smoothed out but also sharp). Infact, to me, as much as I dislike having pure fruity notes, I can say with relief that it's more to help draw out the profile as a whole. A bit more drying down, the VOC bias is rather tame, and not really as noxious as in the opening, but now smells VERY reminiscent (if not, almost spot on) of my favorite pair of baggy vinyl jeans (scally lads, IYKYK--and I mean the OG ones), but the biases of faint cherry, faint powder and VOCs are present, but not discernable in a way that you could singly point them out (IMO, you wouldn’t really be bothered by it—you would actually come to appreciate them somewhat). I was hesitant on buying this blind since it wasn't possible to sample it just about anywhere at the time of review but this was probably the most successful blind buys I've had to date (this far exceeded my expectations), but it's Killian Wells being Killian Wells...was there a reason to doubt I wouldn’t fall for this...weirdly agonizingly addicting concoction? + 1 * Vinyl (garment) -> 100/100 I can also second the minty Elmer's glue interpretation, though it’s quite more carnal towards a VOC-like bias. In a way, it borrows the scent profile from Sneakerhead from a glue perspective, but not as a whole. I can also draw a similarity to Black Tar Parfumerie Particulière, but in that it’s devoid of tuberose, and in which case, really resembles the ANTIDŌT spray (ANTIDŌT Wings to be specific, in which it DOES resemble the smell of Jordans but VERY vaguely, in an airy, somewhat tuberose forward sense, and not in a literal sense), but this (Synthesis) doesn’t come off as floral, but just so slightly clean and aromatic. The judgment from ANTIDŌT to this would be pretty close otherwise. Finding a frag that is the literal embodiment of vinyl/PVC pants wasn’t really on my todo list (though it was bound to be at some point in discovering plasticky featured frags), so this really was a welcome change of pace from chasing leather frags. I can also somewhat, as a whole second the paint can smell, but it's not the image you get in the drydown--it's something more nuanced (since this becomes a facet rather than a main focus). A suggestion on using this frag from Xyrena’s site is in tandem with Sneakerhead / Pool Boy (have not tried the latter yet) are great combos if you want a punch of a faintly aromatic polyvinyl chloride in it, but obviously you’re not limited to this. I will note, because of this being SO strong when sprayed initially, its projection tapers down quite a bit, making this a frag you’d want to use as a top layer if you’re going to be doing such. HUNQ Boxer + Synthesis -> Boxer more pronounced because it has less volatile ingredients. As a result, I was worried about the longevity of the perfume since it was projecting so much, but after 8 hours I can say with relief that the scent profile is unabated, though with intimate projection (not all extrait de parfums perform “well”). On skin, it doesn’t really last that long (1-2hrs tops). These would be the only cons, but then again this perfume isn't really meant to be used out in public (though I personally would), so really this works out either way. On garment, I find that reapplication is hardly necessary if enough was sprayed on it to enjoy the profile, which is astonishingly unabated. But yes, it’s not a carnal vinyl, it’s more a photorealistic interpretation of PVC (pants, albeit in a faintly aromatic cherry-esque bias), just as Killian Wells puts it, which I will admit, put a huge smile on my face. If you’re into this kind of stuff specifically and if you don’t at least feel a glint of joy, I would be hard-pressed to know what will. It really feels like Xyrena as a house is so slept on, as none of their perfumes are gimmicks--you get what you paid for, and so you shall receive. Another epic banger by Killian Wells.

I’m so glad I bought a sample of this. I’m big into latex/rubber (both for fashion and fetish) and my interest was peaked as soon as I saw this. It’s definitely not something you wear by itself!!!!! I layered this with The Ghost in the Shell and it’s wonderful. It smells like the inside of an auto shop and dries down into a very sexy rubber catsuit smell. I love it

I just had to know, so I ordered a sample from Surrender to Chance. It is like straight spray paint. Like PVC glue (or maybe more the primer). Like the strongest nail polish remover you've ever smelled. The dry down is like the smell when you walk into a freshly painted house. Incredibly strong. I do not like this, but I can respect it.

I second the paint chemical scent going on. Almost has a mint scented Elmers glue scent. Someone on the Xyrena site said it was a “cherry leather”..not for me this is very much your garage filled with paints, thinners and chemicals to paint your car or your house. Lacquers that will make you woozy...if that’s your thing. I appreciate the creativity of Xyrena. I wish they would upgrade the plastic gold studded caps though. The bottle shape is perfect to fit in the VHS case. Just not a fan of the cheesy caps haha
