English Freesia Fragrance Mist

I have a bottle of English Freesia edt, rather than the fragrance mist, so I can't be sure what I'm wearing smells the same. It's delicious, really uplifting, with zesty orange definitely in the mix at the top, but not sharp and overpowering. I have a feeling it won't last all day, but I can always decant some into an atomiser and respray.

My review is about the EdT, and it's very short. If you like the smell of freesias, you'll like this fragrance. I love freesias and I'm happy I found this bottle. Soft, lovely, feminine. Is it discontinued? That would be sad!

The initial burst is puzzling. Lemonadey rather than floral, with an accompanying pepper which is better suited to colder-weather fragrances. It settles to a pleasant light but very faint floral, not like freesias. It seems frightened to offend the young crowd. I can't bring myself to put it in my dedicated soliflore/solilegno box.

This review is about eau de toilette. I just got this tonight and it is a funny fragrance. Nothing I've smelled before. It opens up with a citrus blast shooting in every direction and I'm having trouble getting a hold-on what's going on here.. Then it settles down playing the freesia, I think, though I have a stem of freesia in a glass jar on my table and sniffing it very close, it resembles the perfume, but I couldn't tell straight away this perfume is freesia. The scent did stick to my arm pretty tight. It's uplifting and cheerful, but like a ghost.. Makes me imagine catching notes in the room that aren't even listed but I get a whiff of them. Strange perfume, out of my comfort zone!

I have the edt version of this.. I find it opening with a chemical-alcohol burst, which fades within minutes and becomes a pleasant floral. I find it very citric for a floral scent, therefore you could totally get away with it in warmer weather. Longevity isn't best, becomes very faint in just half an hour,my 50 ml bottle will be gone in no time. Not the best cheapie, but if you like citrusy floral and find a bittle on sale it's worth a try, or else get something from the pound shop - it's gonna be all the same..

Apricots + basil. Not a real freesia. It smells like freesias from the distance - it's like the scent filling a room where a bouquet of freesias is placed. It reminds me Chanson D'Eau (basil note), but lighter, something between freesia and Chanson D'Eau.
