Flora Jade

Flora jade is light in its bearing, no notes are intense or dominant for long (except the green ones), everything blends quite well together. So what will you smell? The opening is rather fresh-floral: sparkling not sharp bergamot, pink roses and delicate jasmine. This blends into an oakmoss dominant mid within the next 30 seconds. This is my favourite part of the scent development on skin. The drydown is greener and slightly bitter with galbanum taking over the reins. There is some mildly earthy patchouli, but it is friendly not dominant. This fragrance is an easy EDT reach for green floral lovers to bolster an EDP. I bought this as I'd ran out of Oscar de la Renta's live in love. This was a nice option but its quality cannot be compared. This fragrance is not at all synthetic, on skin it projects within the first half hour and then settles, on clothing it projects for 60 to 90 mins. The longevity will not win awards either, 4 hours on clothing, less on skin. It's an EDT, a modern Yardley, so these are to be expected. This is my favourite Yardley, it is a well blended, simple, lovely green floral. If you do not like notes such as galbanum and oakmoss, best to stay clear of this.

Find the top notes a bit difficult to get through - something basil-y there, yick. Edit: 2nd wear, sorry Yardley, the top notes are like cheap aftershave. 😭 But yes, after about half an hour, dries down very much into Cristalle.

This is a delightful, light, sparkling, fresh scent!
