Eastern Veil

I want to preface my review to let you all know what I've been doing lately in regards to fragrance collecting. I have been fascinated with space. I have no idea why, but I am so fascinated that it's the only thing I have been researching. I would like to find and purchase every fragrance that seemingly represents or is inspired by deep space. Eastern Veil was a blind purchase. I had high hopes because of the note breakdown and the inspiration. I absolutely love it! I'm so happy I purchased it blindly instead of a sample. So, so happy! Let me tell you why: If you look up Eastern Veil Nebula, you will see images of a beautiful, pink and orange, angelic act of God. There is no other way for me to describe it. Because of how the nebula looks, It makes sense to add a little bit of warmth. But never lose sight of what this is: this is a nebula in deep space. It should also be cold, isolated, and introspective. I understand that some of the colors may be enhanced on purpose, or perhaps even re-colored. But that doesn't take away from the overall creative direction. This is a hint of warmth in a universe of endless cold. And that can be sensed here. This is of course my first impression of this fragrance. I will come back and update or edit is necessary. As it stands right now, this is an iris forward, softly sweet, atmospheric extract that does everything I want it to do. I highly recommend sampling or purchasing outright if you are a fan of iris in any shape or form. There is nothing strange going on in this composition. It is elegant while remaining modern and cool. Again, very happy I purchased it. A successful blind buy, can you believe it!? Embarrassingly, yes I did purchase the other two. Lol. Also blind purchases. I will have a review up in the next few days. I'm not sick you're sick lol.

Eastern Veil is a truly special blend of sweet, salty, floral, and woody facets. It constantly changes on my skin, which I really like. The best part is the longevity. I put it on in the morning, and honestly, I can still smell it in the evening when I get home from work. It's not like I have to bury my nose in my hand; the aura projects around me. I got a couple of compliments, and that always means it's good, right? People ask, "What are you wearing?". The atmosphere it creates is somewhat mysterious, ideal for evening outings or when you want to make an impression. It's not for kids; this is for a guy who knows what he wants. In short, if you're looking for a perfume that is unique, long-lasting, and has character, this is a bulls-eye. Estern Veil has set the bar high in my collection. Highly recommended from my end! think this is a perfume for those who are looking for something unique, elegant, but with a modern, unexpected twist (like the popcorn!). I absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves gourmand, yet wearable, scents!Love it really.So unique.Good Job for this German brend🥰Love it 10+/10

The top notes blew me away and I was so sure that this would be my next true love. Unfortunately those lovely, powdery, lipstick-y top notes disappeared after 10 seconds and the pepper and woods came out at full force. While the opening is delicately sweet and powdery, that dissipates quickly and is replaced by sweet and peppery mixture of woods. This reminds me of a more woody, less powdery version of Ballerina by Moresque. While I like this and will use up my sample, it didn’t really go in the direction I was hoping and feels a bit too shrill and in-your-face for me to fully appreciate. If you are a fan of strong fragrances, woods, and pepper, I would recommended trying this.

for the right person, eastern veil is perfect. this is a spicy, salty, sweet, woody fragrance that shifts and changes — similar to the nebulous hues of its' namesake. something in its' base, the maple syrup, probably, really comes off as strong on my skin in the opening, and i am NAWT rocking with it 😭😭😭... a few hours later, its' definitely softened down into pepper and woods, but i can still catch twinges of sugary syrup that make me slightly nauseous. i can see how this could be described as a unique, elegant scent. this is. simply just not for me :{ INCREDIBLY long lasting though, which is a plus for people who like this (not me) i will give it points for having a really cool, neat bottle. it goes HARD 💯💯 overall rating: 4/10 — mid-tier veil 🐦👍

I try to be more diplomatic these days as sometimes it is just my taste that does not align with vision, but yeah, I don't get on well with this one at all. There is something unnerving about the whole thing. The name. The notes. The smell. I just feel such a whirlwind of cognitive dissonance and a bit of nausea when smelling it. I understand where the perfumer and brand are trying to go here, but it just reminds me of walking into a Yankee Candle shop and having various scented candles clashing: Rose Scented, Popcorn Scented, Maple Scented, 'Fill in the blank with another cloyingly sweet aroma' Scented. It's intolerable and offensive to me.

Sugar with a touch of iris to start. There's a sharp woodiness in the base that makes me nauseous.
