A Buddhist Perfume Notes in Yosh Han's Kismet Bay Leaf Osmanthus Boronia Incense Ylang Ylang Cedar Garden Dill Chamomile Narcissus This was like a Tibetan Buddhist monk created this fragrance in the Himalayas from his sangha. This is a beautiful floral elixir. It's quite strong as a balsamic herbal green fragrance with a spiritual touch of incense. A modern Oriental of the highest order. In all my life I have never smelled anything quite like this. It's a fragrance created with love. Bay leaves and osmanthus provide it with a tea like scent. It's very green. The flowers of chamomile, boronia, ylang-ylang, and narcissus are usually never found together in one fragrance. It creates a feeling of exotic beauty and mystery. The woodsy notes of cedar wood make me feel like I'm in a forest and an incense fills the air. I follow the smell and it takes me to a holy mountain where a large statue of the Buddha stands alone. This is a masterpiece and unfortunately not very well known and very hard to find. My girl friend Charita in India gave me this present as a gift last Christmas. This is totally unisex wearable for both men and women. This is a soothing calm fragrance that I will wear this winter to keep me warm and make me feel at peace. I can even wear it while practicing meditation as it's divine incense on your skin. Beautiful. So beautiful.

Kismet starts like ginger and camomile hot tea with sugar, it reminds me a lot of aromatherapy essential oil box, in which the air has many essence blend together and you cannot really smell a single note, but a lush smell of all those, in a nice, natural and earthy way. Then it smells like Ylang Ylang and cedar wood and some other woods scented room, it is soothing and sensual. Then the ginger and camomile hot tea scent comes back and dance around every now and then. This reminds me of some kind of ginger spicy candy I had when I was young. Later on the cedar wood is really dominant, sweet, light woodsy. It smells so unusual because I normally smell cedar wood in an oil burner, not in perfume; anyways, this is a good and nice unusual in perfume. However, at some point, I feel that strangely the cedar wood smell reminds me of raw mushrooms, but it’s still nice and dries down to really close-to-skin sweet woods. Kismet is interesting as a perfume, however, since I use different types of essential oil to scent my home sometimes, it always reminds me of woody essential oil which I do not normally put on my skin.

A beautiful sweet floral perfume oil, that throws me back to my childhood. For what ever reason, this always reminds me sharing my Pez candy with my sister. In one sitting, we would end up eating all the Pez candy and beg our parents to buy us more. There are no sweet candy notes in this perfume oil. It could come from the combination of Ylang Ylang, Frankincense, Narcissus & chamomile that gives it the (floral) sweetness. The sample of the perfume oil has lasted me quite some time, allowing me to be able to test this sensual & mysterious scent several times. I wish that I could wax poetic about this perfume. I ordered from Barney's and received Frederic Malle's en passant in its stead. I called and went on about how I had to have it, went from customer service rep. to the manager in charge but it was all a no go. Even though it was listed in the website it was long gone. So you all are some lucky people who have this. I wish I could just ring her up and see if she will make me a bottle of Kismet.
