Omniscent 0.96

I love this scent, and find it completely unique and amazing. I bought this and Ginger Ciao at the same time, and was thrilled with both. They don't smell the same, but they share the qualities and feel that make them swoon-worthy on me. At the time, I had been having no luck finding any perfume that worked on me. It seemed the alcohol was always in the way, so I wanted to try oils. These two are perfection on me. Strong, but so, so soft; it feels like they caress and meld their scent into my skin. Sweet, but the right way, not the candied, fruity, or foody way. Spicy sweet with nothing heavy or cloying. And so different from any other perfumes I've tried---they make mainstream perfumes smell cheap and boring by comparison. Omniscent is complex, and I don't have enough perfume and note sophistication to describe it well. The opening is floral, but not in the usual white floral way. The spicy warmth keeps the pitch much lower, and I can't actually smell them although I know they are there. The floral notes then melt into the background and it becomes more rich and sweet and a little powdery. It's so beautifully blended I can't distinguish the notes. Although it is sweet and warm and rich, it never feels heavy, and I am enjoying it right now on a summer night. It is a fantastic on freshly bathed skin any time of year, but is a perfect winter comfort scent.

This scent is AMAZING. It wonderfully bridges the gap between modern and vintage by indulging aspects of both quite strongly. Before examining the notes, the main aspect I detect is a heavy, classic, vintage aldehydic smell. It's strong, loud, definitive, and confident. But on the other hand, there's a wonderful modern, classy floral/spicy accord that brings this out of smelling out-dated. I don't detect ANY fruit, but the floral/wood/spice mixture makes this clean, fresh, powerful, and smoky. This is a very loud, spicy, incensy white floral that is dominated by gardenia, clove, opium, and violet. It truly does cover all bases in terms of being woody, floral, spicy, warm, smoky, clean, strong, dainty, and beautiful all at the same time. More than anything, the mixture of opium, clove, and violet brings to mind a strong coca cola accord, which makes this very reminiscent of Youth Dew, for me. However, the vintage aspects leave as the fragrance dries down, leaving a smoky, floriental cloud. It's strong, classic, timeless, and accessible. This is a fragrance masterpiece. This is probably what you'd get if you layer Ineke's Hothouse Flower with Estée Lauder's Youth Dew, for sure, without a doubt.

I am still stunned by how white flowers can add "dryness" to certain combinations..I am very surprised to find this many white flowers in this fume as well! On me it smells oriental, dry with a little bitter smoke(remeniscent of dry tobacco smell for some reason).. I LOVED this on first application- the scent being potent without being offending due to a special softness it somehow maintains throughout..From the first spray I could smell dry rocks(sauna-like..mm), then a combo of creamy and dry woods mixed in with flowers..for some reason I also smelled something similar to plum(bitter sweet black plum smell) It developed very well overall- turning into a great oriental..surprisingly, I could only detect white flowers when some time had passed- the juice being blended so well no particular note screams a solo.. A lovely woody floral with quite a punch of spice ;) Longevity is great, and silage is strong, but moderate enough to be people friendly (makes sense?:)).. It would probably better suit those, who like slightly bitter smells (try it if you like almond, woodsy and clovy note..)

This is a big, florid woody-floral. It's not as cacophonous to my nose as others suggest, but all of the notes are full-blown, which results in an almost kaleidoscopic push-and-pull between equally assertive elements. I get bouquets of flowers in full bloom against rain-and-sun-drenched woods and herbs, all at peak pungency. Its quality of nature bursting at the seams is somewhat vintage, but it's also elegant and very wearable. It may all be too much in eau de parfum concentration, but as a close-hugging parfum oil, it's gorgeous. I'd recommend this for fans of classic, pre-90's fragrances. This is a bit of an anomaly in the current market's emphasis on minimalistic, tightly-edited fragrances, but it's not so odd as some claim, nor is the hodge-podge of listed notes accurate to my nose. I think the notes cited by @MadScientist make much more sense (at least to my nose, pineapple and kiwi are entirely absent), though I can't confirm.

It's strong/decadent and oily on the opening. Every note in here plus the kitchen sink. The result?! A rich floral oriental that startlingly shape shifts. I admit I was a bit scared of the in your face opening but it settles down to unique milky floral with spices in the background. Not scary at all. It's all very well blended and notes pop up and then vanish again as if you are Alice in Wonderland. The geranium is quite a piercing note but only briefly appears. The diva florals on the opening are but shadows of their former selves. It is now more herbal/floral. I get the cannabis and fig leaf calming down the diva florals. The basil starts to surface. It's like I imagine a fairies sleep tonic might smell. Perhaps like the one drunk in Shakespeare's A Midsummers Nights Dream. The herbs now dominate with the flowers at the back. A most curious and magical potion. I get good longevity and sillage.

This is one of my favorites, by far. It's so deep and rich, but also flowery. I get lots of compliments with Omniscent. The dry down is beautiful as well. It was my signature scent for years. So sad it's discontinued. UPDATE: If you're missing this one, try Scherezade by Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. I find it to be quite similar.

The first Yosh I've tried that I like - this is a very nice retro-ish fragrance in the style of the powerhouse classics of the 70's and 80's. A very animalic white floral, sticky and sweet. Reminds me quite a bit of White Diamonds but this is a more raw and untamed (maybe even a little crude) fragrance. Not for the faint of heart, and definitely not for those who prefer the easy to please gourmands or pure "clean" fragrances that dominate modern perfumery. Very sexy, a little dirty, absolutely unabashed.

My least fave Yosh of the four full bottles that I just bought. It goes on with a hodge podge of things. An almost lily note because it is floral yet dry, definitely very fruity but dry, bitter in the top then gets very dusty (again, think dry) and soapy. It's a fruity floral that is so dry and dusty it almost is an aldehyde. The bitter with the fruit makes it have an almond quality. In the final dry down 11 hours later, it left a chocolatey gourmand trace on my skin

Beautiful dark white floral bouyed up by a lot of smoky spiciness. Very sweet thanks to the white florals involved and the vanilla. Great for evening wear, reminds me of the complexity of Poison. Lasts well, 6 hours.

What is this fragrance? Tuberose?? Why are there so many notes listed on this page, then? Basically I get what smells like orange blossom to me, surrounded by tuberose. Eventually the tuberose middle notes take over the tuberose top notes and you're left with ... you guessed it - tuberose. Where is the fruit in this? Where is the mint, cannabis, etc etc.? Way too complex for a subdued tuberose and way overpriced.

I don't get any fruit from this one whatsoever. It's very strong and I can really detect the cloves. It's warm and spicy but IMO it's too masculine for a woman to wear...at least not THIS woman.

I really like this one, but it's hard to describe. I do get most of the notes shown, and what I most enjoy is the earthy scent that is noticeable in the opening, which is quite sharp and distinct - a nice, greenish note slightly reminiscent of fresh soil, or patchouli. A few minutes into it I am getting florals and citrus, and something creamy enters the equation. Interesting transformation. I am truly enjoying this fragrance and waiting to see how it continues to develop.

Deep, rich, loud, thick and sticky. At the same time soft, dreamy and milky. The sweetness and powderness are nice and rounded and have nothing to do with Hollywood of bubblegum sweetness. While sniffing my arms Omniscent does remind me of a perfume I know from the past. I couldn't grab it with my senses, but finally I did. It reminds me a bit of the lovely tuberosy Mahora de Guerlain.

This is a strong oily scent, I could really smell the opium and violet with some spcies, as it dried down I could smell some sandalwood. This is good if you like strong incensey scents. This doesn't have incence notes but it gives the same smoky impression as incence would.

Delicious. I can't get enough of this fragrance. On me it is warm and sexy with just enough white floral.
