Stargazer 7.71

Thanks, Mariotgomez -- I've always ordered samples from Perfumed Court, but they don't seem to carry Yosh. I got my LuckyScent samples in just a day -- to my great delight! I can't decide which one I love more -- Sottile or Stargazer. They are both such true garden florals, with not even the slightest hint of artificiality. At first I thought I'd reserve Stargazer for fall, because the immediate impression was strong - a slight similarity to Chloe or Fracas (I suppose that's the ginger), but it died down right away to a lovely and elusive lily fragrance. I might have to get both for spring and summer... I just can't stop sniffing my wrist! Now I'm afraid to order more Yosh samples, because this could get very expensive!

I love love love lilies...and this is a special one. Incredible fresh and futuristic, not from this earth but so natural at the same time. The idealization of the lily. It has personality in the bottle but turns into something very individual on my skin. I feel protected and daring wearing Stargazer. My favorite summer scent ...cooling down the summer heat, makes me feel fresh even in the humidst tropical climate. Adore it. Incredibly feminie. Years ago I discovered the oil first...later I was able to find the frag which is less intense and creamy but a bit sharper in the opening. 10/10 longlasting and strong but fresh sillage

Stargazer - what a beautiful name for a fragrance. But despite the name this scent is less sweet and indolic than the flower. It's a strong lily scent but extremely fresh and green - overworldy. The first bottle, it was the oil, I found years ago in NY. After this I couldn't find it anymore in Europe. So I bought the spray bottle. And stocked a second in case it will be discontinued.

A shining fragrance that make me feel circumfused by the air of a sunny and fresh spring day. Lily with an hint of ginger, just to make it sparkling. Is it a unisex fragrance? Yes definitely ! Why not ? I wear it jauntily and nobody disapprove; to the contrary everybody bring their nose closer to my skin asking about it !

Why is this described as a LOTV? It is a STARGAZER LILY, and a STRONG one. It is a realistic and unashamed rendition of the overpowering hothouse fragrance. Myself, it's one of those fragrances I have to be "up for" to wear. If it was music, it would be Led Zeppelin.

Lilies are my favorite flower and I have long looked for a scent that would capture that raptorous fragrance, which smells beautiful all day and then sensual all night and is just magical. This fragrance DOES, on the face of it, smell exactly like lilleis So then why am I not ecstastic over finally finding what I was looking for? Maybe I've been looking less for a direct translation, and more for an interpretation. Compared to lilies--granted, stargazer, starfighter, the white ones with the red stripes down the middle of each petal (I don't know their name)--each smell a little different. The latter, the ones with pink in them, even have a kind of rotting-meat undertone when they start to wilt and go bad that I don't at all mind but my parents used to make me throw away when I would get bouquets in grade school if I got all A's on my report card (that's how much I loved them, from age 8). This fragrance doesn't capture any of that carnality. It is too green and not musky enough to truly capture what a bouquet of lilies does to my brain. It does smell quite pure and incisive, a little too sharp even, but its sillage is not so strong that that incisiveness becomes knife-like. More like a sharp needle. I think this would make a fresh--and fairly original, non-department-store, non-fruity, non-cheap-smelling--layering scent, a fun top note to add to a musky signature of one's choosing. Tom Ford's Shanghai Lily is similar to this but is more complex and comes close to capturing what a real bouquet of stargazer lilies smells like to me.

Stargazer is perfect for somebody who is looking for a linear, realistic lily-of-the-valley fragrance. It’s very pleasant, subtle, feminine, a little soapy and fresh. It doesn’t have the harshness that is present in some lily-of-the-valley soliflorals. Would be perfect in spring with white dress. I even think it would be a very good choice for a bride, who loves subtle white florals with nice sillage.

A simple, straight up lily fragrance with some green notes - as a previous commenter mentioned, like a bouquet of lilies, including the green stems. Soapy with just a touch of sweetness, strongly indolic. Reminds me a bit of bathroom air freshners (probably due to the indole). Very simple smelling. It also smells a tad on the cheap side for a niche fragrance. If you like lilies you should definitely check this out. I'm not thrilled with it, however.

For the past few weeks I have been wearing Yosh Stargazer 7.71 to bed. Wearing such a beautiful fragrance for such an uneventful occasion almost seems like a waste come to think of it. I probably should douse myself in Yosh Stargazer 7.71 whilst out in public so that others can appreciate its beauty. This fragrance is by far my favourite lily scent. It eclipses Dior's Diorissimo and Cartier's Baiser Vole in my opinion. When I wear florals I really appreciate scents that represent the flower in the most authentic way possible. Stargazer 7.71 smells exactly like a bouquet of lilies. It has the sweet floral aspect intermixed with the crisp green stems and the freshness of the dew. A subtle hint of ginger in the heart adds an interesting spicy element to the composition, however I am thankful that it doesn't overpower the glorious floral accords. As the scent progresses it does tend to smell a little soapy, but that is all part of its charm. Stargazer 7.71 would make a perfect wedding day fragrance. In fact I will be recommending this fragrance more often when members ask for dominant lily suggestions. It adds that hint of romance and luxury on a warm Spring day. The longevity is superb, as is its subtle yet noticeable scent cloud. I am so pleased to have discovered this fragrance as it has opened my eyes to wearing lily scents again and to experimenting with more florals.

this perfume is kind of mixed! it took Yosh about a year and half to put it together. it's a mix of strong and light! long lasting but soft. quite interesting. as she told me, it's like being in a crystal ball, people gets near you so much from the smell, then one in a sudden they crash into that crystal without realizing and stop.... it's like being hit in the head without knowing who hit you. honestly i felt that when i wear it, it goes smoothly nice, then ...... BOMB STOP ... what was that!!... then it goes smoothly again... and.... another STOP. i honestly felt it every time i wear it, as she said it's protective to the one who wears it. this might be annoying to some people, but it is quite unique and rare.... i personally liked it and bought this and sottile the day i meet Yosh.

I cannot describe this as a delicate floral. Rather, it is like being hit over the head with a vase of freshly cut lilies, very indolic, sharp and green. I got no ginger notes and hardly any of the lily of the valley. This is a sharp, screeching lily, like a church on Easter morning where at first you think, oh what beautiful flowers, and by the end of the service you are feeling nauseous from all the unrelenting lily indoles. Only the bravest lily lover would wear this, in my opinion. I had to scrub it off, it was so sharp and strong and showed no signs of relenting even after 3 hours on my skin.

I purchased a sample of this from Luckyscent. I would describe this perfume as a delicate and soft floral scent. The opening is like a bouquet of stargazers, several days after they have bloomed. Shortly after (20 minutes) it softens to a light lily (or paper-whites)scent. I did not notice any ginger notes. The warm down reminds me of a high quality Spa soap with a relaxing effect. I would recommend this scent for a woman who wants a light floral to wear during the day.

This is a great lily scent, very natural and true to the flower. Sweet, rich and a little indolic. Beautiful! The lily is definitely the dominant note, I can't pick up much else. Trouble is it only lasts about 3 hours.

Stargazer comes across as a soapy lily with a hint of orange. Unfortunately the overall effect is too reminiscent for me of bathroom cleaners.
