White Flowers 1.41

A gorgeous, fresh big white floral that is bright and sparkly, smells very natural. I bought it years ago for a pretty good price and its quality far exceeds the price. Due to its narcotic and rich qualities, I'm guessing there's a lot of natural floral material in it. I'm a big fan for white flowers, and love the dreamy combination of gardenia, tuberose, freesia, lilac, sweet pea, jasmine and narcissus. It's so exquisite, also with a hint of rose among the lush white flowers. Greenery lurks in floral waves, bringing an uplifting feeling. Clean, but there isn't any soapy white musk here. I'm surprised it doesn't score high on Fragrantica, in my mind it deserves more. What I have seems to be the old version.

I love to wear white florals because I find them uplifting and energizing. White Flowers is in my list of top 5 most-amazing-white-flower-fragrances, and I feel like it's one of those scents I've always longed for. Yosh Han has an ability that, to me, is purely magical: she makes fragrances smell like living things. White Flowers smells purely of garden flowers, but it has none of the sharpness, sourness, or boldness for which white florals are known. This is so gentle and ethereal it seems more like a vision than a perfume.

I met Yosh today, in Barneys SF. I "experienced" White Flowers and it was beautiful! She said it was a simple floral for daytime. Sure, but much more. Experience is the correct term for this fragrance because you smell petals, the inside of the flowers, the green base ( ok, I'm not a botanist), the stem, and everything that is mentioned in her discription and that's without her detailed description! It's uplifting, in it's simple beauty, just as Japanese flower arranging is. OMG! It's a quiet smile. Ahaaaa...

A huge sweet white floral. Almost all of the florals are detectable. The gardenia, jasmine, lilac, tuberose, violet, lily, sweet pea. Yes, it does have a green undertone. In the top, it did make me sneeze. And, as promised after the sweet floral burns off, it does get greener and soapier. All of Yosh frags have this Easter lily quality to them. I think the lilac gets stronger in this.

The above notes are totally wrong and they need to be corrected. @GenevaX is correct. That being said this is a pretty perfume, very feminine. It reminds me a tad (same style) of my bottle of Miller Harris Coer de Fleur. Big raspberry big orange w/ sweetness and dusty florals. Pretty for spring. Makes me think of weddings. This is a happy cheerful floral. I would also like to add this have wonderful longevity and sillage. Makes me want to test more from the brand. Reasonable price for niche as well. Edit: Just pick this one up. It is one of those florals that I reach for a lot. It is easy to wear in many situations. Also, I have 3 perfumes with a dominant sweet pea note. There is still sweet pea in this. I can smell it. My Grandma grew them when I was a child and teen. Smelled them all the time since I lived right next door. This one is the strongest sweet pea dominant fragrances I have ever smelled. It isn't used very often in perfumes which is sad because you can extract it's essence from the plant. The perfumer should have renamed it something like sweet pea delight. If you love the smell of sweet peas this is one you should check out.

For all the minimalist packaging and talk about chakras and vibrational energies on her website, Yosh has historically loved a big honking retro perfume, and White Flowers is THAT kind of white floral. With its loud narcissus note, it's unabashedly 80s Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Collins, all maximalist glamor and bold femininity. At the same time and somewhat mysteriously, it's not at all obnoxious or dated. The drydown is magisterial. Its heady white florals in full bloom, tempered with a hint of green. I bought this on Yosh's website a while back when they were clearing old stock, and it looks like the old formulation has been overhauled completely, which is a shame. Be advised that if you buy the scent now, my review is likely irrelevant. The new notes are: Top: Violet Leaves, Raspberry, Orange Middle: Mimosa, Acacia Cassie, Jasmine, Palmarosa, Cherry Blossom Base: Rose, Water Flowers, Musk

Interesting enough - even though I should feel White Flowers dominating this perfume, I don't. For me it is all about the green leaves and soil underneath the flowers. The first half an hour of this scent was breath taking, freshly cut green leaves with flower petals, a wonderful composition with greatest quality and uniqueness. Unfortunately the dry down is far to soapy for me, I start to feel lilacs which here dominates for me the most (from flowers, I mean) and gives a metallic vibe, also rose and fir are rather noticeable making this smell like an expensive soap all trough the dry down. A pity indeed. But as I can understand from other reviews - it has much to do with skin chemistry, so give this a try. This is a high quality stuff and the opening/heart was heavenly beautiful.

The drydown has to be one of the best drydowns I have ever experienced. And it's almost too difficult to explain - it's green, warm and creamy. Extremely sunny, delicious. The opening is a huge blast of florals, attacking with the speed of light! It's mostly a huge dose lilacs and freesias. Just when you think it's going to stay soapy-sharp, other flowers start to come out and lay a soft, fluffy, warm blanket on top of your skin. It's like swimming in giant petal heaven! It has nothing to do with Fracas, so if you are looking for a tuberose bomb with bubblegummy quality - this isn't it. It has more to do with beachy-green white florals. I find it simiar to ginger ciao in this sense, minus the coconut. It's a yes from me! Also, it's huge, one spray fills up a room, lasts for days!

I'm not a floral person, but sometimes during the summer, on hot, humid days, I like to wear a beautiful floral while I'm gardening. Scents like vintage Caron Nocturnes or Annick Goutal's Tubereuse are perfect. So when I saw that Yosh had a scent called "White Flowers, I decided to order a sample. The whole time I'm wearing it, it feels like I've stuck my face into I giant bouquet of mixed flowers; all of the flowers listed seem to be there in reality, including their leaves and stems. The flower that stands out most on my skin is rose and even though rose is the least favorite of floral notes in perfumes for me, the support it has from the other floral notes, make it an absolutely beautiful rose rendering for me. My only complaint is that the projection is not great on me...it immediately turns into a skin scent. But that's okay because it's lovely.

This fragrance is PERFECT. Definitely try this on your skin, because I used to hate on this perfume from sampling it on a tester card at my local fragrance boutique. On paper, it smelled like urine...like dead, dried out daffodils. But on my skin, DEAR SWEET JESUS. Freesia, Daffodil, Lilac, and Gardenia. Three of those are my three favorite flowers, Freesia, Daffodil, and Gardenia...and they dominate this beautiful scent. It's not linear; it's quite complicated, and it unfolds in time like great perfumes should. After the initial burst of a dewy, floral bouquet, it settles down into a beautiful, sparkling, powdery dry down. There's an undertone of greenness, representing the leaves, stems, and crispness of cut stems. This is my idea of love, in a fragrance. Dominant freesia, realistic representation, and natural crispness. Perfection.

A big, retro style white floral. Very dry and green, especially in the opening. Clean and virginal - reminds me a lot of Jontue; it's more floral but has that almost strident innocence and greenness. Soapy and fresh; clean white laundry snapping briskly in the breeze. Green green summer hills in the Alps. Wholesome and lively.

Green white florals, a lot of freesia and lilac as well rather than the richer gardenia /tuberose. Better for spring, very fresh, not an overly sweet or indolic treatment of the white florals here. Good for work or formal daytime settings. Pretty but doesn't wow me like the richer white florals.

This scent (EDP version) does transport you to a beautiful floral garden. Light and refreshing. As described about, "on men, the green notes come forward and the floral notes fall back." When I wear this scent, I feel like I have finished a day of relaxation at some expensive spa.

Another interesting fragrance from Yosh. Stargazer is a sugary/clean white floral that I guess has lily as the dominant floral note. I actually can appreciate the smell of this one (when applied sparingly), however, once again, I wouldn't wear it.

I find this to be very retro, and some people mind smell it as an old lady's perfume
