Fleur d'Oranger Lavande Petit Grain

Orange blossom is one of the few notes in perfumery that should always go simple. Houses that over-complicate their orange blossom perfumes by adding musk, honey, powder, vetiver, myrrh etc suffer from losing the fundamental bright and crisp characteristics of the blossom. A real shame. This is why YR's Fleur d'Oranger Lavande Petit Grain shines. It smells exactly like the notes entail: a leafy dash of petitgrain in the foreground along with aromatic orange blossom, with the lavender giving it subtle "earthiness". Inhaling this EDT is quite like smelling a blooming orange tree, with the flowers, leaves and barks. Some caution for blind-buyers: this scent has no honey type of sweetness whatsoever. If you like your floral honeyed-sweet Seville a l`Aube from L`Artisan, or Fleurs d'Orange by Serge Lutens will work much better. If you're a petitgrain junkie like I am though, this won't disappoint. The scent lasts at most 3 hours but with 20ml for $7 bucks you really can't beat it. I also like to switch up to a different frag after a few hours with orange blossoms anyway, so this is perfect for me.

An EDC type of fragrance, invigorating and aromatic, with lavender and petitgrain in the start. 15 minutes later it's mostly the orange blossom that's left, projecting a vaguely white-floral quality. To my nose it is absolutely unisex and very enjoyable. Longevity is far from stellar but the price justifies refreshing every now and then and pairing it up with the neroli/almond lotion improves the lasting power. It holds well on clothes and could make a great pillow scent. Pretty, fresh and uncomplicated, it reminds me more of the YR Agrumes en fleurs rather than the waxier and far more tenacious Secrets d'essences Neroli, which I own, love and wear year-round.

I adore, absolutely love, this underrated little gem. I love how it is neither overly masculine or feminine, just lovely, bright yet light, and clean. The petitgrain, which I adore, and lavender seem to balance out the orange blossom here and keep it from overwhelming the whole concoction; it seems to sit there and speak confidently without drowning out the other voices. I collect and wear hundreds of fragrances but this is one of the few I'd never want to be without. A take it to a desert island sort of scent. My happy dreams smell like this.

A simple scent with a refreshing bouquet of citrus, carries a nostalgic vibe for me. Although it doesn't last long according to most reviewers, its longevity can be boosted if you use the Orange Flower Almond Body lotion by yves Rocher. It doesn't list the same notes here but the body lotion is quite strong on the orange flower, so much so that it may be used instead of wearing fragrance. the almond in it is quite subtle, so if you like this fragrance try the body lotion too!

Beautiful scent, standing out from the sweet mash up everybody is producing.For me the Lavender and the Petitgren are mostly prominent, while the orange blossom comes stronger with the drydown. It is very fresh and clean smell, maybe a little bit like an old-school soap bar, but in a very nice way. With it I know I smell unique and nice.

This is a lovely, light and fresh, very inexpensive fragrance that feels completely natural with no added sweetness or synthetic basenotes. The beautifully soft floral and soapy notes of orange blossom, lavender and petitgrain linger for a good five hours on my skin. Very soothing and totally unisex :)

Beautiful!! I spray my linen before going to bed, it creates such a calm atmosphere. I also use the cream to massage my young daughter in the back when she needs to relax before going to sleep. Peaceful, relaxing, like going to sleep in the middle of an orange orchard. Love it!

Sweet Orange Blossoms in a bottle with a faint hint of Lavender. Great to spray this one after a shower as a pick me up. I have the body lotion and plan to layer it for extended wear.

The scent of Elemis shampoo epitomises the ultimate clean, freshly showered sensation ever to me! Not laundry like or aquatic - an expensive spa scent with a perfect balance of uplifting bergamot, tender orange blossom, feel good sage. When you sweat, it smells even better, like the best version of your natural skin scent! Exuding luminous aura by every pore lol Spectacular. Since I couldn't find this product anymore, I've been on a search for an equivalent in EDT. This one comes quite close! But it's clearly missing the complex aromatic components from the former, so I won't wax lyrical about how it makes me feel like a better soul 2.1 bla bla bla. Yes, the main note is orange blossom, with some zest from petit grain that's neither sharp, nor deafening (those are the very same reasons why I loathe petit grain essential oil usually). Lavender is weak but has enough presence to impart that pure and quasi euphoric feel I love so much from aromatic herbs. A safe EDT of choice that won't intimidate perfume adverse boyfriends. The sillage is so weak my BF could hardly detect it anyway hahaha He just believes this is my natural body smell (“Lovely!”), especially when I spray it on my hair. Cool by me.

Ahh! This one had me at hello. It is a beautiful, zesty, yet very relaxing blend. It feels like you are standing in the middle of lavender field while delicately squeezing orange leaves and flowers in your hands. It doesn't smell artificial like many others from this line. And I agree it is quite similar to Neroli Portofino. Yves Rocher lacks soapiness and smells like a good quality spa treatment. The smell completely disappeared from my wrist while I was choosing a shower gel. So, we had to say good bye to each other, well, at hello. Edit: Could not get it out of my head. Finally got in an oil form. It lasts more than an hour and makes me feel happy and peaceful. If you like EDT but it lasts only five minutes on your skin, try the oil.

Nose Note #92 We have this but in oil and I'd debate on how long-lasting it is. On skin it can last all day, obviously because oil doesn't evaporate quickly. On clothes it's never vanishes, like you put some high level perfume on. Maybe I'm getting the wrong idea, but it's nowhere feminine. Maybe unisex, but honestly I see it as quite manly. Lavender, petitgrain... It belongs to the man rack. Maybe it's just because it's so basic that you can call it whatever. It doesn't develop at all, but on clothes it gives off a very sophisticated aroma so I wish it was made into a perfume 4.5/5 for me

Fleur d' oranger is one of my favourite refreshing smells for a shower product. I found what I was looking for in the Almond- Fleur d' oranger Shower gel and body lotion by Yves Rocher, but I realised they are stopping the production and starting the newer "Olive-Petitgrain" in that style. I am glad that I was quick enough to buy this eau de toilette that has all three :) It was also the only perfume that I could tolerate and used on an everyday basis during my pregnancy, but that's really a personal thing.

Very nice scent. On me this is mostly a semi sweet orange blossom with a tiny bit of green bitterness from the petitgrain. The lavender is in the background, and just adds a little depth and some type of cooling serenity to the smell. I really like it. The sillage is somewhere between soft and medium, and the longevity is quite good. I get 5-6 hours out of this. Lovely scent for summer days and nights. I especially enjoy wearing this just before bedtime. It's really soothing and calming. :)

Fresh flower forest. Freshness is in the beginning even bitter. The scent fades soon, it's very very light EdT. There stays mild flower on the skin. I can almost smell moss, but it's a flower in a forest. Reminds a bit of lily of the valley. The pure innocent freshness is beautiful, and I think that this scent is like a new classic: the only one that could be available in shops. If the time was 1954, or 1964, as in the movie Les Parapluies de Cherbourg.

Whenever I want to feel just-out-of-the-shower fresh and happy, or whenever I want to go to sleep feeling relaxed and ready for sweet, sweet dreams, this is the scent I turn to. And if you're not into wearing frags just before bed (which I'm not, this is the only thing I can wear), not to worry, this is extremely light and pleasant - closer to an eau de cologne in my opinion.

A shop assistant at my local Yves Rocher boutique has told me that this line (Eau Gourmande) is soon to be discontinued - so, if you love these affordable little gems, better stock up soon! As to this particular cologne, it is very fresh and unisex. I bought a bottle for myself, but my teenage son liked it so much that he borrowed it... permanently. :)

Very fresh linen-ish smell with florals. Clean and pleasant, but doesn't stand out to me.

Genius fragrance for daily wear. Reminds me very much of Clarins' Eau Resourcante, which I find very calming. I keep a little bottle of this in my handbag and treat it like an eau de Cologne, spritzing it on trough the day to cool off. I can't think of a negative for this fragrance. It has a mandarin and cedar 'sister' that is also very good.

Blindly ordered online, tempted by free delivery. For me this is a cheaper version of Neroli from Secrets D'Essences line, which also has notes of petitgrain and orange blossom. The only thing I can smell is orange blossom, no lavender, no other notes. I am not keen of this one at all (I don't like Neroli either).

Lovely, old time-y, easy to wear and very unisex. Sadly, it doesn't last long. I usually wear it jogging outdoors or to the boat or whenever I just want to have a whiff of freshness around me. It reminds me of my grandparents, which is lovely.
