Matin Blanc

At first, I was very cautious and suspicious about this whole collection of then-new Yves Rocher perfumes when they became available. I picked a few bottles to start with, based on the most positive reviews from YouTubers and decided to share some with a friend of mine, knowing that she loves perfumes of all kinds. She immediately opened them and told me she loves them all, but I thought she was being polite by not telling me the truth. When I got a chance to sniff this one for the first time, I disliked it so much that I regretted giving it to a perfume lover without first trying it myself. At that time I already had the Neroli by Yves Rocher in my collection and couldn't understand why people loved it so much. I could smell nothing (was nose blind, I guess) and since then I have been avoiding perfumes with a neroli note. Time had passed. I finally decided to add the Matin Blanc perfume to my collection, just to make Eaux de Parfum collection complete. After trying this perfume again, to my surprise I found the scent to be very delicate and sophisticated. After using the Matin Blanc for some while and loving it more and more, I remembered about my Neroli perfume and pulled it out of the back of my perfume cabinet. I finally realized that it actually has a scent!, and a very nice one. I was no more nose blind, thanks to the Matin Blanc. Since then I am able to distinguish and appreciate and love the neroli note in perfumes. Now Matin Blanc is one of my most favourite perfume in this collection. I love it on it's own, and I love it as a base for layering with other perfumes. I have both the original flanker and the one in a new bottle. They smell identical to me. The new bottles are so much prettier!

My first YR perfume, and first from this collection. Blind purchase. The scent for me is sophisticated and different. Powdery, citurs, and floral. I was drawn by the neroli on its profile. For me this is a new kind of scent for my nose. Not so heavy and more on the feminine side. I must say it is a versatile scent as you can wore it day and night in any season.

Fresh of the freshest fresh... Tried on today and it’s just a lovely citrus garden. It is definitely a unisex scent, crisp and sharp. I don’t smell any flowers here and it’s good so.

I don't know how to explain it but this perfume is me.

I bought it for my mom when she became fascinated with this scent after initial sampling - she really likes citrus and green scents. But at first we were both a bit overwhelmed. Soon it turned out that the perfume had to wait a few months for a colder season. In winter it started to rock! This neroli note is just awesome here! The combo is very well-blended, round, it smells complex while the notes are not too numerous. Somebody did a great job while preparing this perfume. It's feminine but not sweet. Bitter, fresh, "green" floral with a hint of bergamot. Awesome!

This perfume takes me directly back to my childhood: the beautiful sunny spring mornings, a soft breeze that crosses our room, the open windows. My sister and I would wake up to the scent of orange blossoms that had bloomed, to the smell of clean laundry, to mom cleaning the house, and as the ground was soaked we would jump out of the window to go to the balcony and play... We were young, carefree, innocent. We were happy. I love wearing this perfume, not particularly for the scent itself, but for the sensations it gives me. 8/10

Yes it's definitely a "blanc" perfume. I don't get citrus at all. On paper it's more likely baby powder. I don't know why i get this powdery smell.. neroli maybe I was so excited about this unisex line of yves rocher.(to me not unisex at all btw) I tried all of theme but actually i wasn't curious about this perfume at first look on fragrantica before smelling it. Surprised by this. İt's not so special but nice and clean perfume for spring.

Lovely white flowers (orange blossomy jasmine), citrusy to start, but turning really creamy, like a flower milk, after a while. The citric cleanness remains. Evocative of Pure Poison’s fresh gardenia after a while, without being a dupe, I think it’s the white morning (matin blanc) part of it. Same ambivalence. I picture a kind of expensive soap, fresh, floral and silky in the same time. Gloomy winter days antidote.

i get a powdery orange blossom with soft woods. no bergamot to speak of. (ETA: 2nd time i smell a hint of bergamot but it's light) it's quite pretty. i am testing from a yves rocher mailer on a piece of paper, so it might be different otherwise. i don't wear a lot of citrus scents but i like this because of the woody notes that smooth out the citrus.

Bonjour... Je viens de le recevoir et... C est du citron tout le long. Le côté crémeux recherché est malheureusement aussi timide que léger. D après l échantillon, le rapport était inversé.. Un crémeux addictif et des agrumes discrètes. Une déception. Un regret.

It’s nice. It’s a citrusy fresh floral, sunny and not overly sweet. It’s not groundbreaking but it’s pleasant. Smells natural and is relaxing. A good option if you want something clean for the summer.

Very pleasant summer fragrance. Neroli, orange blossom - perfect office non-offensive scent. At the moment I found it on summersale 50 % off.

It's decent, but nothing to write home about. It does what it says. Neroli. Aromatic... etc., but it just doesn't have any wow factor whatsoever. It's extremely soft on my skin. Zero projection and almost no sillage. I don't understand it. Unisex. Suited for spring. Day only. Totally office-safe, and totally forgettable, as well. Just meh for me. Update: Ironically, despite its soft sillage, it managed to give me headaches. I think it's just too green and oily (in the essence, aromatic way) for me. Contrary to the brand's marketing, I don't perceive this perfume as 'white'. It is more rather olive green to my nose. I smell bergamot essence very clearly here, along with neroli.

This has some really nice orange, flower and other citrus , but unfortunately also loads of pencil shavings. Oh well at least it isn't patchouli. Guess it deserves a week of trying to love it. It doesn't stick around very long, it's a little weak. Otherwise this would be a love. Too much wood that isn't listed.

I don’t own it, but I tested it at a physical Yves Rocher store. I sprayed it on my cardigan, and it lasted more than 5 hours, which was impressive. However, I decided not to purchase it because the scent reminded me too much of a lemon air freshener (T-T)

Smells clean and powdery. But it doesn't have enough longevity or a 'character' for a signature parfume. It's just...there.. an option... My least favorite YR perfume I own.

It's less zingy and fresh than the notes make it look. It's soft, sweet and a little musky for my taste.

The dry down is nice, but the first hour is too much for me, it's almost annoying.

If heavy bergamot fragrances has million haters, then I'm one of them. If heavy bergamot fragrances has ten haters, then I'm one of them. If heavy bergamot fragrances has one hater, then I'm that one. If heavy bergamot fragrances has no haters, that means I'm dead. All I get out of this is a LOT of bergamot, which comes off as heavy and oddly dirty on me. I love orange blossom and neroli fragrances, but this brings none of the fresh sweetness that those notes have. It's very powdery and musky, and not in a fun way.

I liked it first. I thought the rounded smell was jasmin but you guys are saying neroli. Okay, Im learning all the time. It is strange there is at same time sharp aquatic after shave smell together with soft neroli. I think all the fragrances that I tried from the collection are unisex leaning manly. I dont like that.

Spicy, definitely. It smells nice, I would like it, but has some note that simply irritates me.

This review refers to the fragrance in the original packaging, I don't know if the fragrance was also reformulated when changing it. This is a clean, refreshing, delicate perfume, an ode to white flowers with a predominant neroli that is fresh, somewhat sharp but very beautiful. It has creamy but also powdery aspects and, to my nose, a salty touch that makes me think that it could have some ambroxan. A very slight sweetness also appears in the drydown, especially at lower temperatures, suggesting a small dose of undeclared vanilla. Its sillage is moderate-notable and its duration on my skin is 8-9 hours. This is another one of those perfumes that, being completely unisex, makes me feel very feminine. Perfect for a summer walk on the beach holding hands with someone you love wearing a flowing white shirt. Unfortunately I didn't know the old Neroli from Yves Rocher's Secret d'Essences line so I can't compare them. For my nose it does not resemble at all Puro Neroli by Offizina delle Essenze, which delves into the most indolent facets of neroli, moving away from the cleanliness that Matin Blanc projects. The perfume that does remind me a lot is Pure Poison by Dior or even its flanker Pure Poison Elixir. Of course, the neroli in Matin Blanc makes it much more pungent, although I don't see it as something negative, but rather it adds a more energizing factor to the fragrance, with Pure Poison being more elegant and balanced. I would use them on different occasions. As for the bottle, I have to mention the atomizer for the perfumes in this line which, although I love it, sprays a lot of perfume making the bottles go down very quickly. I have this one in the new, orange bottle. Don't know if it's been reformulated recently. Just wanted to say that if you're looking for a substitute for the gorgeous discontinued YR Secret d'Essences Neroli, this is not it. I got it because I had read comments like that. But they are hardly anything alike. My impression of Matin Blanc is mandarin or some other small orange citrus fruit with some florals. To me this fragrance is not "white" as Neroli was and subsequently not the one to match the vibe of an all-white outfit (ok, I wore Neroli with all outfits in spring-summer... please come back 3). Matin Blanc is like a decent enough body splash that I will happily use up wearing to a dance class, but it can't even begin to compare to the beauty and sophistication of YR Neroli. I've found a much better substitute for it in Zara's Amalfi Sunray. It's not perfect but so much closer than Matin Blanc.

I purchased a small 30ml bottle of Matin Blanc for under 25 euros in Brussels. Although the scent pyramid contains neroli and orange blossom, what I mostly get from this fragrance is a lightly sweetened jasmine. In comparison to the scents from the previous Yves Rocher Secrets d'Essences line, this one is much closer to Tendre Jasmin than to Neroli - and thank god for that! Matin Blanc projects beautifully but does not last beyond 3-4 hours, because it lacks some superpowerful aromachemicals in the base. All in all the entire new YR EDP collection does not contain anything groundbreaking; all scents that I tried are safe blind buys, guaranteed crowd-pleasers and can be gifted to girls and women of any age.

Ohhh the disappointment.... I had such high hopes going after the description and notes. Blind bought it, sniffed it from the bottle (loved it!) then sprayed it and... UGGHHH toilet spray! Very cloying and annoying, wanted to scrub it off like there was no tomorrow. However, I left it on to see what would happen, hoping for a miracle. No such luck. My daughter also commented on it, quite repulsed. So that was a very short-lived adventure. Never again.

For the lovers of the old Néroli secret d'essences who were heartbroken when it was discontinued. this perfume here is a similar, more diluted version of it. For the ones who didn't smell Néroli before it's a simple ( but potent) scent of orange blossom and lemon zest, but in the most feminine, buttery way possible. it reminds you of walking by a blossoming orange/lemon tree and baby powder.

This is definitely a creamy white floral scent. It's a very well-blended, nice wearing fragrance. Not my preference, but I enjoyed sampling it! If I had to identify something it was close in comparison to, it does have a resemblance (no dupe) to Emporio White perfume which I wore back in college. Overall, this is nice if you like creamy white florals.

very clean, fresh, not outstanding but a nice compliment getter. It's a 'good girl' perfume. I get the jasmine but it's not overpowering, and on the drydown I get a blast of ripe orange and neroli in its creamiest form. Longevity is a 6/10, but I got a gift box where there was also a mini size so I am happy to respray. Lasts longer on clothes.

I really wanted to like this one, but it just made me cough uncontrollably. The opening spray is too harsh for me to try and wait out the rest. I really liked the paper tester strip I got from YR before I bought a bottle of this. On paper, I got a fresh, yet soft white citrus floral. Too abrasive when sprayed from the bottle :(

I blind bought this online because there aren't any Yves Rocher stores where I live, and I'm so glad I did! Beautiful powdery orange blossoms and neroli. Very elegant. Very powdery.

Attention... L échantillon est meilleur et de loin que le parfum... Une stratégie marketing ??? C est dommage. Fin de ma confiance envers cette marque.

I wonder why it's still not compared to Fleur Narcotique Really similar opening, but this one is much softer later on
