Pur Desir de Lys

I haven't worn this in such a long time and I am so sorry I haven't. It really fit the day perfectly. It is such a creamy and uplifting scent. Not excessively sweet, no heavy vanilla. Just a natural lily scent perfectly balanced with the leaves and stems. It is as if you are smelling lilies in a sunlit garden. So pretty! Too bad it was discontinued. I really need to get another bottle before it completely disappears.

One of the perfect floral fragrances I have ever smelled. It is a balanced blend, fresh and warm at the same time. It smells of thick velvety lilies in full bloom. It sucks that it's not available locally but I love it. When the weather is hot, it smells a bit like banana bubblegum. It's really amazing.

I got this bottle several years ago on ebay for I wanna say less than $20 at the time. It was so fresh and green and yet slightly vanillic. I loved this perfume and savored it, but I wish I'd used it up while it was still full of magic. I still have it but as I've gone into my cupboard over the years I've witnessed it lose it's complexity and turn into a mere shell of green grass cuttings + musk. The lily is almost undetectable now, which breaks my heart. I'll have to use this one up before the end of this year, what little is left of it. If you go seeking this line on ebay, just be prepared that these scents are 20+ years old, and even if kept in really good conditions, the scents may have gone off or changed just the same.

I snatched a 60 ml bottle of this at a flea market for a bargain! This is the most photorealistic depiction of a lily I've ever come across. Beautiful white floral, with an acrid base. It's just like you're sniffing the real deal! Lilies are connected to the Moon and their element is Water. They symbolise protection & chastity. In these instances they're used to either keep away unwanted visitors from your home or to break love spells and protect women (or men) from unwated attention. I spray this on my self before bed to calm me down :)

Powdery white lily and slightly soapy-animalic, clean musk. A touch of bergamot with a bit of a cider-like character as these bottles are vintage now and the juice is more golden compared to when these were new. White lily, a bit green and peppery, is well captured here albeit muted to a clean style, elegant floral, suitable for all occasions. Frosted glass bottle... <3 Moderate longevity/sillage and easily stays a couple of days on hair.

Pur Desir de Lys is very soft and tender, like a kind woman wearing white lace dress walking through white Lily garden in spring time. It's a happy scent, not offensive, safe for office. but does not last very long, for me, in cold weather is last around 3 hours and that is not enough for me because I don't want to reapply. I like it, don't love it because it can be boring sometimes. Won't be purchasing again.

Nice! A gentle lily, well balanced with the musk (which isn't too soap-powdery)and later some vanilla. It seems to me there may be other white flowers here too? Maybe a little jasmine? Lily usually smells meaty to me and I'm not getting that here, thank goodness. Lasts well for such a soft fragrance.

Realistic, freshly-open lilies in a garden. Breezy, unaffected - a day in late spring. Too feminine for work but nice for afternoon visits. Lasts a long time on skin; my bottle has kept very well after several years. One of my simple pleasures.

parfum que j'ai eu il y très longtemps, le souvenir que j'en garde c'est que l'odeur de lys était très réaliste mais uniforme et n'évoluait pas, convient bien pour une jeune fille ou pour celles qui n'aiment pas les parfums trop forts ou trop marqués

To Sequin below me: Aqua Allegoria Lys Soleia by Guerlain has the same gorgeous and dominant lily note in it together with vanilla and musk. However, I would say Lys Soleia is not quite as tender a scent as this one by YR, but at the same time it's longevity and sillage are slightly better. I recommend you test Lys Soleia, should you get a chance.

This one was passed down to me from my mom, because she found it too sweet. And it weren't the lillies she was looking for (she was hoping lilly of the valley). I was quite surprised by this scent, it doesn't have much layers to it, but I do enjoy it. It's sweet, warm, happy and floral, an uncomplicated summers day.

Not bad, actually, but I got bored with it after several months, and passed along the rest of the bottle. I wish this website had something you could click on for a "meh" reaction. Or perhaps one for dislike, and one for despise!

I'm lucky to just have received the last bottle of Pur Désir de Lys of a friend. I'm addicted to Lilys anyway and I am rather proud of having this scent at home. I've sprayed it on me and I'm waiting ...

Pur Desir de Lys is a delicate and romantic spring scent of white lilies. Lily aroma is softened by sensual notes of musk and vanilla.

Does somebody by chance know a scent similar to this one? I really don't want my bottle to be finished but soon it will be...
