Vanille Bourbon 2016

Review for the new "Perfumed Mist with Bourbon Vanilla" or "Brume Parfumée à la Vanille Bourbon" as I didn't find this is the database. (Feel free to move my review.) I absolutely love this! I had bought this to try and it wowed me at first whiff! It's a creamy, burnt sugar, candied mandarine, powdery vanilla that seems to have some white florals in the background. It somehow manages to be powdery, feminine and cozy, yet keep a juicy, light feel as well. To me the best vanilla perfume Yves Rocher has done so far! I didn't love some of the previous ones and they had that "chocolate milk" scent and some not so safe ingredients. This one is elegant and the ingredients are safe. I have worn this non-stop since I got it three weeks ago and I'm enjoying it so much! I just wish it came as an edp as sillage and longevity are moderate. It reminds me of the 2002 version of Dior Addict edp, that mandarine - white flower - vanilla combo that's sweet yet fresh. Edit to say that a male colleague stood next to me at work and started to sniff the air saying: "Hmm, what smells so great?" And he kept sniffing until he found the source, my neck, where he then nodded approvingly saying that it was "really good". So maybe the sillage is better than I think ;-))

This is my favourite vanilla so far. It's slightly powdery, almost fresh, reminds me of vanilla flavoured icing sugar but in a warm, comforting way. Sometimes powdery notes can feel dry and cold but this is only soft and smooth. This doesn't have any caramel-like notes in it that some very buttery vanillas do. It's just a beautifully simplistic vanilla. I don't have a signature scent but if I had to choose one, it would probably be this. Longevity isn't too great, this only lasts for a couple of hours on me, but that is to be expected from this bargain. This is a frugal gem for vanilla lovers.

I hate Yves Rocher , why ? Because they just decided to discontinue this fragrance ! and started selling the useless hair and body mist as a replacement .. I can say that I tried all Vanilla Bourbon verions Yves Rocher had, I loved all the versions, I am a vanilla person because of them, I discovered my love towards vanilla notes because of this fragrance.. it's just so selfish to stop producing this masterpiece, and I am disappointed. I wish Yves Rocher reconsider their decision , and discontinue the current junky hair and body mist and reproduce this one..

Can you imagine a world without any vanilla? -Neither can I. I'm a succer for vanilla, and you know, some perfumes are special, and so is this: -I could swim in a vanilla sauce, and I think I will be there in that river to the end of the world, ehh, but I also would love to bring along "a little bit more" from Dr. Hook, "and when your body is here, I 'm gonna love you a little bit more..." This little beauty turns me on, I just wish I had a bigger bottle of this beautiful perfume!!!

Good sillage and longetivity! Such a good product for this price! There are much more expensive EDTs with poorer sillage and longetivity. I'm pleasently surprised! And the scent is so wonderful! Sweet and calming. Suitable for both day and night and for all seasons! I definitely recommend it! It lasts 12 + hours on my skin! I'm amazed!
