Voile Doré

This one itches that specific part of my brain, makes me want to keep smelling. Tried it at the store before buying however could not understand the true nature of it, just thought it was pleasant and interesting (tried other perfumes, there was too much olfactory stimuli present in the store.). Bought it from the app and it arrived today and oh wow; cozy, warm, creamy, kinda dusty with just a little touch of woodiness. Let me warn you that it is not a sweet cake/cookies type vanilla. Safe for blind buying, 7.5/10, balanced. BUT why did they made this great fragrance in EDT? I think most of their floral EDPs smell dull and boring, they are better at making vanilla heavy fragrances (their top seller products are bourbon vanilla scented products, and they cooked Cuir de Nuit so GOOD) Yves Rocher should listen to me and make this fragrance permanent on the shelves (it's a special edition Christmas fragrance), in EDP form.

Dry woody with lots of cedar, spice and dried fruits with a background of not supersweet vanilla. Its definitely unisex, fall & winter perfume. I love it, & its for an incredibly good price. Layers well of you wanna sweet it up. Longevity pretty good for the price. Well done YR, and please keep this one! Im stocking up!

Screaming crying throwing up, because I didn't buy a backup of this... A simple, soft and cozy, yet unisex scent. It doesn't really last that long on the skin, but it lingers on fabric for a few days and also layers beautifully with other spicy or patchully based scents.

i love love love this fragrance!! so cozy and warm. i work at a care home and one of the residents had this parfume, i sprayed it on her and was instantly obsessed with it!

Why did I discover this one so late? It's absolutely great. Dry, woody, slightly spicy vanilla with just a touch of sweetness. Very warm and cocoon-like. This is the perfect everyday vanilla fragrance to me, it's inoffensive but also complex enough to be recognizable. I agree this would have worked much better as an EDP instead of an EDT and wish Yves Rocher made it a part of their main collection - weird they don't have anything vanilla-centric besides that body & hair mist. Also weird that there's no shower gel with this scent.

Well my nose is not very advanced so i dont smell the spices. I dont usually like vanilla prominent perfumes but the scent this leaves on clothes after long hours or a day is amazing. I get compliments with it. It is soft and cozy. My mother who is not a huge fan of linear vanilla likes it as well. But my friend smelled it in the store and said it is horrible and smells like a car scent. She doesnt like sweet scents tho. I hope i dont bother people with this in general.

If "My Shiny Vanilla" (last year's Christmas edition) and "Voile d'Ocre" had a baby, it would be "Voile Dore". It's basically Voile d'Ocre, sweetened by a soft vanilla, and spiced up a little bit. If you have the two first fragrances, you don't need this one. But me being a Christmas Fragrances collector, I couldn't resist but to buy it! Good longevity (at least better than their usual limited editions) and magical bottle design. 8/10

The opening is a bit harsh, bit of star anise and cardamon slap in the nose, but as I don't like spices at all it may be perk to someone. But it dries to very comfortable vanilla. Maybe with time the initial harshness will go away. This is not a clean cozy vanilla, if you are looking for one - search My shiny vanilla.

It is balanced and well blended, makes me feel happy and calm with its warm notes. Unfortunately, weak. I can barely smell it after two hours. If you like light scents and lookin' for a spicy-vanillia perfume probably u will like. I liked it also but performance is important for me.

I clearly smell coconut, I see it's not on the list, but this is waht I smell. Vanilla mixed with coconut. It's more airy than other vanilla scents by Yves Rocher

This perfume is veryy intense in my opinion. The notes are extremely accurate and it lasts for a very long time. A bit too spicy for me personally. This was a blind buy for me and I kind of regret it so I recommend testing it and trying it before you purchase.

Where people talk about Christmas spices and particularly cinnamon (which helped make me buy it), I only smell a terribly disturbing smell that I have a lot of difficulty isolating; ginger, anise? Something I don't like but what? Yes, I know, these are still spices used in certain Christmas cookies but clearly, these are not the ones I would have liked to smell... And where is the vanilla? Very good staying power though.

This perfume lasts all day on me. It took me a while to figure out where I've smelled something similar...Voile Doré is similar IMO to Avon's Far Away Exotic flanker, or also reminds me of Katy Perry's Indi Visible scent. This spice in Voile Dore is nearly the same as these others. This is a lovely addition to Yves Rocher's seasonal vanilla perfumes, with nothing yet being a spicy vanilla option over the years.... It is traditionally YR quality, not overpowering but also not fleeting. This one IMO is more spice/wood than vanilla. I'm not sure that I will keep this YR in my rather large collection, however, it is a lovely perfume! Update: 2024- I came across a very similar perfume that is a close dupe to this, but more vanilla-heavy! It's called Olivia Blake- Vanilla Cashmere, and I found this gem at TJ Maxx for $12.99! I also see it online for $26 but if you like Voile Doré, and like vanilla, I bet you will love it!

when my mom gave it me as a present I LOVED IT so I bought 2 more cause it was a limited edition.... Now I still have it and god... sometimes i get bored because i've been using it a lot but every time i use it again i love it ♡♡

I think this is not that spicy and herbal but you can feel the spices it’s creamy vanilla with touch of cinnamon it’s really comforting and the sillage is really great
