Belle d'Opium Eau de Parfum Éclat

Belle D'Opium Eclat seems a bit fondant to me. Here by my opinion the smoky component is even more been enhanced. The aroma is bright & delutes stringy, but at the same time i can't say that it is oversaturated. In Eclat version contains balsams, dusted white lilies and intense; only here more still appeared expressive cherry smoke, notes of tobacco & dried fruits. This is a fragrance that no one has yet been able to unravel on me.

absolutely love this scent, it's intense and heady, and very sexy and i find a ittle bit more wearable than Opium.

I adore the way this scent graduates with me through my day, only have to apply once and it mellows nicely.

When I first sprayed it, I immediately realized it didn’t smell quite the same as the YSL Opium I remembered. Belle d’Opium Éclat is described in the official materials as a “luminous version,” and that feels accurate. Compared with the original, it’s more transparent, with the heavier spices and resins toned down, while the floral and fruity notes are brought forward. The opening features orange blossom, lily, and jasmine, with a touch of spice that gives the start both brightness and a slight edge. As it develops, hints of smoke and incense begin to appear in the middle, but they remain very soft—almost like shadows within the scent. In the base, patchouli and amber add warmth without creating any heaviness. The balance is well handled. The spices are present but never overpowering, and the florals feel full without becoming cloying. Overall it leans toward a relatively clean oriental floral style. It lacks the dense intensity of the original Opium and avoids the sugary sweetness common in many modern fragrances. Instead, there’s a faint bitterness and sheen reminiscent of citrus peel.

The original Belle d'Opium is one of my favourite fragrances of all time. I haven't come across any other perfumes as intoxicatingly sexy as this and the OG. While this is very similar to the original in the dry down, I prefer the top notes of the original - the liquorice makes this one more savoury. I hate that both of them are discontinued. I find Estee Lauder Amber Mystique is similar in the dry down, although I think that is also discontinued :(

I was waiting for it to show up on Fragrantica Usually it takes a long time for new fragrances to be available here but this one !! I tried it a week ago, Unfortunately I couldn't try it on my skin, it smells great hope to give it another try soon

You travel on economy class to a warm country somewhere beside Europe. It's hot and you're standing outside in the heat. There is a market close to you where they sell spices and fruit. The spice is nice but the fruit has been sitting a little too long in the sun and has turned juicy and unedible. Suddenly a guy is standing next to you and he starts smoking. You thought the whole experience would be more glamorous than what it turned out to be but it's not too bad. That is my experience with Belle D'Opium Eclat. It's not an unpleasent perfume but I can't find the situation or the mood for it. Still I feel that I owe my bottle another try.

I wore this fragrance at the first date with the man that later became my husband. I wanted to be extra appealing to him, and I liked how intoxicating this smelled, so I got it for our date. The scent itself was more heavy than the scents I usually wear, but it was also really confident. And he liked it. I wear it quite seldomly now, and mostly keep it as a memory, but when I wear it, it is mostly for evenings going out with him. Otherwise, I like to wear lighter fragrances even in the evenings. About the scent I should mention that it has very nice fruits, including peach, which I love. There is also gardenia and jasmine and patchouli in it. These are some notes I adore. I personally don't care so much about the fresh tobacco and the incense scents. They are a little sharp to my nose. Nevertheless, it doesn't bother me on an evening out, because they do add character, confidence and sexiness. And I imagine it feels appealing to anybody who ever has liked to smoke, ex-smokers as well, because there is a little hint of fresh cigarette in it somewhere hidden in all the other delicious stuff. I think it is a very sophisticated scent. Lady with red lipstick and heels.

I just got this in the mail as a total blind buy. It is by far the heaviest and darkest perfume that I now own. It reminds me of a special kind of grape candy I used to get when I was little. It also reminds me a little of Poison and as another reviewer said there is maybe some cigarette smell added in. I detest cigarettes so that doesn't bode well for it remaining with me. It is no wallflower of a scent; it makes itself known right away. I have been wearing Jour d'Hermes a lot lately, so wearing this feels like I have become my own evil twin. It is a very different style than what I am used to wearing, but I am going to give it a try. Will be interested to see what my husband's reaction is when he first smells itas he always has an opinion about my fragrance choices.

I own both the original and this version and I adore them both, although the honest truth is the original has something about it that this one is lacking..Maybe some fruitiness? As they`re both discontinued now it saddens me that the only way to have them is to switch into insane bidding mode on ebay or amazon..Such a pity, don`t understand how this could happen.

I went into a LOreal outlet and they were actually throwing Belle d Opium at you. It was like 55% off obviously this was not a hit.
