Kouros Tattoo

Has the Kouros vibe for sure but less strong. An aquatic, modernized and cologne concentrated version of Kouros very good for Summer or situations where normal Kouros would be to much. I dont get any citrus but just aquatic Kouros. Longevity is good for a Cologne, but no comparison to the OG. Still it radiates quite a lot after warming up due to physical activity as many summer colognes even after many hours. On clothes it is also very noticeable on the next day. I really love it but unfortunately hard to find. Generally sad that all the Kouros Flankers which are inspired by the OG are all gone.

This is a summer flanker done right. It's still recognizable as a Kouros scent but taken in a different direction - not like a Le Male summer edition where it's just a watered down version of the original. This is one of my favorite hot weather fragrances. The wife hates original Kouros but likes this edition. I wish YSL had never stopped making Kouros summer/sport flankers.

I found this jewelry for a banana price, wow !!! Delicious fresh fragrance perfect for the summer, reminds the original Kouros in the drying but well refined in citrus citric way, did not expect that it would like it so much, if one finds that one can buy without fear of making a mistake!

Bottled summer glory. My goodness do I love this stuff. Its Kouros eased up. Perfect for summer. Very good performance as well. Pure quality from head to toe. Bottle, color and juice as as cool as it gets.

Original and well blend, fresher than original. This mature fragrance is very good, I think like all other YSL but this one is so original like all famous brands created in the 90's.

I purchased this for a very good price off the clearance rack of a local perfume shop. It definitely has the original Kouros backbone, only it's toned down a few notches. The fragrance is balanced with fresh/sea notes for an energizing twist on the original. Performance is not very good; I get about 2-3 hours of longevity. It's a fragrance that shouldn't be taken too seriously. Maybe an after shower refresher or hanging out by the pool. Nothing more than that. It's more like an inoffensive reminder of what Kouros is. Who should buy this? Fans of Kouros, of course. And maybe those looking for an alternative masculine freshie without sweet notes. Grade: C+

Really gonna enjoy this one. Opens up with nice fresh citrus then goes straight into a musky drydown. This is not the run of the mill modern day fresh fragrance. It's unique and to me has a little bit of an old school vibe to it. Definitely glad I picked this up, this was a blind buy for me and I would without doubt recommend this to someone looking for a new spring/summer fragrance. And although I'll probably never use them, the little temporary tattoos it comes with was a nice little touch as well. EDIT- extremely poor performance for me

agree with lovescully about civet note, but its hidden enough to make it for me acceptable, not like original couros which is for me its kind of horror, almost due to civet note , i like most cologne by ysl except original couros . opening with light citrus and watery note , after a few minute drydown to woody which is mix of musk , civet , ceder , and visible incense. longevity and sillage are average. my collection 4 ysl bottle out of 14 i love Yves Saint Laurent perfume.

I don't know what I was expecting with this one. I saw comments about an "aquatic" note and comments about how modern this is. After all that, I finally decided to sample it. The verdict: no matter how you spin it, this is still King KOUROS! Sure it is a little lighter than the original, and there is greater cleanliness and less civet. But ultimately, the effect is so similar that I can barely say this is any more modern than the original. If you find Kouros too heavy, give this a try. Quite similar presentation at maybe 1/3 of the strength. Barely different in any other way. So, would I wear this? Sure. I've worn the original Kouros in the summer and discovered its appeal. However, I would never wear this to an evening or afternoon outing. Just like Kouros, you wear it for your own entertainment when you're spending time out by yourself (or even at work). But with company? Never.

Following on from the original Kouros & Kouros Cologne Sport, this is now the 3rd variation I have tried. It starts out sweeter and more floral than the original, but like the Cologne Sport variation, it doesn't stray too far from the original's composition in drydown. Although there is no civet listed in the notes above, I swear that I can detect the original civet note in the drydown of this Tattoo version. Maybe just a slight hint of incense is there to distinguish this one from the rest. Like Cologne Sport, Tattoo is nowhere near as powerful as the original, so it should be easier to wear out in public. This will definitely please fans of the original.

Has similarities to the original - imagine dailing the musk and civet way back and turning up the florals slightly and adding a calone note. The result is something that recalls the iconic scent of the original, is fresher and a lot less dense. All of the summer flankers have been fairly similar, with subtle changes along the way. Fragrant Desert - you realise this is a 2008 release right? While hardly and oldie, it's not as though it has just hopped on the recent bergamot trend of the last few years.

Love it. Been wearing some form of Kouros since the 80's. The past 10-15 years the original beast has been tough to pull off especially in a work environment, so after reading reviews about this version, I pulled the trigger and I am very pleased. Kouros has been one of my favorite aromas since I started wearing fragrance. This is a toned down version that smells very similar to the original. I get the same barbershop, soapy, musky/leather vibe. Thanks to the reviewers before me.

An essentially lighter version of the fabled love/loathe inducing original. This is for want of a better description a 'diet' version of the original. A distinct middle note of diesel (yes I know it sounds odd, maybe it's my own skin's ph balance) and a lesser, softer sillage effect. Pleasant, but not 'dirty' enough as the original is!

oh not bad at all,very soapy with musk.nowhere near as stout as Devin or yatagan.never tried any Yves St.Laurent before so this aint bad.wanted to experiment with a kouros or antaeus but dont want to be stuck with a daring scent.

Everything is perfect, except the title misses a T.. 4.99/5 star until Fragrantica fixes it. -AB-

Make no mistake. This has a lot of the original Kouros DNA! Just something to keep in mind
