Libre Flowers & Flames

An unnecessary flanker? Perhaps it is. It's close to Libre EdP, you can't deny that. It's close to Libre - but Flowers and Flames is better 👍(IMHO). Unexpectedly, I loved the original Libre when it came out, even though Mon Guerlain is my lavender standard in perfumery. The original Libre was never a true lavender fragrance for me - while Mon Guerlain has a floral lavender, the lavender in Libre just provides a certain freshness in the background - and that freshness is herbaceous lavandin, that is quickly masked by the marine ambergis note and the sweetness of tonka vanilla. I liked Original Libre because of the sun-soaked orange blossom note - and the spicy-sweet drydown of tonka, vanilla and cedar. Flowers and Flames, by comparison, offers the same orange blossom bliss, but everything else is better: the first notes offer fresh bergamot and lavandin, but the lavandin is softer now - and it smells like lavandin, not just any fresh note. The orange blossom is complemented by the lily - and what a beautiful lily it is! The lily is gently underlined by the coconut note, which makes the middle notes very creamy, elegant, sensual and soothing. I can still detect a hint of maritime ambergis in the finish, but it's very toned down. I like that, because on my skin the ambergis developed too much in the direction of a (masculine) deodorant note. Instead, some green juicy notes and an airy spicy sparkle have been added, which smell much more elegant and interesting, but are still kept in the background. The whole fragrance offers a picture of sunshine and creaminess, a golden glow in this cold, wet northern European fall 🌞. I already have it - every bit of sunshine is much needed...

Oh my heavenly constellations, this is BEE-UUU-TEEE-FUL!!! This is definitely on my “must have you, gotta have you, oh, I WILL have you!” list. I don’t often find a flanker that I like more than it’s original parent, but this has me hooked. I’ve sampled Libre and its flankers over the past several years, really wanting to like them. However, the lavender in the edp and edt would go too soapy on my skin, and the intense and le parfum were way too sweet. When l'absolu came out, I was hopeful, but it smelled too aldehydic for me. Now, the newest flanker has all the best notes of the og that kept me from liking it and it’s incarnations, but instead of medicinal/soapy, the lavender note in F&F is smooth and softly sweet— it smells more like blue lavender (which I love) rather than the more common herbaceous variety typical in bath salts and soaps like Yardley of London. This is so well blended that it succeeds in being floral and fresh, yet warm and rich at the same time. I love it when I find a frag that successfully combines contradictory scent profiles this way, because it makes the fragrance appropriate for wear in many different situations and seasons. Flowers and Flames can be worn anytime, anyplace. It’s light, joyful, warm, sensual, playful and elegant all in one bottle. I am so happy I finally found a Libre for me! *edit*— I bought it!🥰

This perfume is divine, and it's among my favorites. Here in this flanker, it's warmer, creamier, sweeter, floral, much more opulent, and yes... Solar... And the angels sing, amen! It was precisely this characteristic that won me over, because I'm a lover of solar notes. I know many people are bothered by the lavender note in the traditional Libre, but I personally love it. However, in this one, the lavender is well hidden, in a much softer form; I barely notice it in this perfume. It clearly has the Libre DNA, which is unmistakable. In the top notes, it opens with notes of bergamot, orange blossom, and a more subdued lavender with a brighter floral. These solar notes I perceive perhaps come from the presence of coconut, which is present here and gives this nuance, this milky, creamier, warmer creaminess, making this perfume very pleasant. The difference between this Libre and the others (I'm actually only familiar with the EDP, EDT, and Intense) is that it has a more prominent floral heart and a more pronounced warm, creamy side, along with lots of lily. It projects beautifully, lasts incredibly well, and looks beautiful on my skin. It's a perfect scent for fall, winter, and spring, for mild days and cooler temperatures. It performs fantastically!!! I absolutely loved it!!!

Another story for you: Yesterday, I felt like Goldilocks at my local department store looking for a summer-appropriate version of Libre (it's warming up in NZ, yay!). So here's what I tested: 1. The og/edp was too potent/sweet/boss babe, I'd wear it to work and when I mean business in fall/winter. 2. The edt was too light and orange blossomy (I still like a bit of POWER!) 3. The Intense I've never liked and today I was reminded of it (too sharp/too much lavender) 4. The Platine was an immediate no (eww aldehydes/Chanel 5 vibes) 5. The white one is like a cologne water (weak yet expensive!) 6. The newly arrived Vanille Couture is just delightful, perfect for next fall (I don't need it now) Flowers & Flames hit the spot! It's sweeter than the og, less sharp, and more creamy; I love the orange blossom, coconut, lavender, and vanilla scent bubble it creates, yum! I passed on it last summer because it wasn't discounted online, and I don't pay full price unless desperation hits (ahem ahem Atomic Rose, DBIR Extradose, & BR540 Extrait). Ladies, this is an elegant, creamy, and lovely summer scent, not so much for the beach, but for drinks at the beach club, if you know what I mean...

I really do enjoy this flanker!!! The opening is a lot more “perfumey”, perhaps more heady, than I was anticipating, but I think it’s just because this flanker is literally on beast mode and the white florals are prominent. Coconut is a note but it’s more of a creamy nuance than anything. However, lilies also give that feel too. To be honest, the coconut I actually pick up best is in the drydown where to me I can pick up some woodiness from what could be coconut husk. Lavender is present, yes, but it’s not the star of the show either because it’s so well blended into the other florals. Considering that, Flowers and Flames could have, or should have been the OG, because it’s smooth af in its development from start to finish, where as the OG doesn’t always behave so. The ride from beginning to end (of the OG) is a much sharper ride. If considering buying the OG EDP, consider sniffing this flanker first, then decide. Smooth, Creamy, Hyper Feminine Floral, Wedding Day, Sophisticated, Expensive, Old Money, Creamy Flowers, a Beautiful Garden... is what comes to mind when sniffing Flowers & Flames. This flanker is a beast, so don’t over spray. Lasts for-ev-er! Love it! ❣️

This is just so so beautiful imho. It carries traits from each and every Libre flanker in one, imo. Freshness from the Edt, Florals from the EDP, lavander/vanilla from intense and a warmness from the Le Parfum. I love this frag, I think it does stand out as a flanker and warrants a skin test, b/c even though it's just slight differences...it makes a pretty big change, and this one is so good. I mostly get an airy orange blossom, on top of a bed of even softer lavander, a fresh lily note, sweetness from the vanilla, and the coconut is what just makes everything so creamy and soft, really tames the floral notes. Even though the palm leaf note is WAY in the background, this frag just says "sunny" & "beach" but you dont really know why...just does, & for me its the palm leaf note just adding a beachy vibe to this flanker and it works. The longevity isn't bad, skin is only about 2-3hrs, but on clothes it last me about 6-8hrs. Projection at arms length. TEST THIS! You may be suprised...even if you didn't like the other flankers...b/c the lavander is much softer here, the scent is more airy, and creamy. This was a positive change. 8.5/10

at opening, it seems indistinguishable from the EDP, however after it develops a bit, the difference between the two is noticeable. regardless, Libre DNA is still very much present – this fragrance is a true flanker, i. e. true to its original DNA, but still different enough to suit different tastes. I cannot say that I prefer either of them over the other, it is unfortunate that it is judged in comparison to the EDP, as I believe this fragrance would be popular even if it were a standalone scent. I have to agree with others that the coconut note is not noticeable, however I believe the creaminess of the perfume comes from vanilla being the only base note, as it is not offset by slight spiciness of the wood. the creaminess only appears as the scent develops though – as I stated above, the opening is very much still reminiscent of the spicy, intense EDP. what I love about it is its versatility – I could see it worn in all season, maybe with the exception of spring, for which it is still too intense, even though it is a tad tamer than the EDP. however, for summer I would recommend it to be worn only during the night.

I have to admit, I couldn’t detect a whole lot of difference between this and the original when I tested it out, but after wearing it home from Sephora, I started to smell a much creamier version of the OG with a little less of that sharp lavender. I had about 3 or 4 more sprays of the OG left over, so I put it on the next day, and then I decided to replace it with this flanker. It has better staying power (although both are excellent) and I actually think I prefer the bergamot over the orange. I like how this evolves more too. The original Libre remains pretty linear on my skin, while this goes through different phases. I wouldn’t call one of those phases tropical, but I definitely get more of a deep, rich floral coconut that really blossoms in the heat, while I don’t feel like the original does. The colder weather brings out the notes better. I think you’ll like this if you like the original and I’m not sure if I feel the need to own both at the same time, but I definitely prefer this one in the warmer weather.

This is the libre for me! I tried both original and intense, and even though I love the scent, esp intense, I just cant seem to find it suitable for me! I cant really put my finger on why, but maybe original turn slightly masculine on me and the intense is a little bit too heavy for me? This on the other hand is light, feminine, sweet but not cloying, and very delicate. Orange blossom and lavender with vanilla twist, its so addictive and nice. I dont really like the scent of lavender, however, when its more subtle with vanilla, like in burberry goddess, I really enjoy it! Although its a suitable strongness for me (not very strong), it is unfortunately quite short lived on my skin :( i would need to reapply after 2-3 hrs. I consider it suitable for daytime and night time, but dont spray to heavy at work. I put this right on my wish list for sure!!

Since 2020, I have wanted Libre so bad due to the sophistication but lavender forward fragrances are nope 👎 for me. Somehow the Lavender overpowers the vanilla in OG, and intense.. Went to Sephora to randomly test perfumes to know which to add to my collection. Flowers and Flames brought me to my knees. I do not like floral perfumes but there’s sth a bit unique about this one. Creaminess and richness of the coconut was enhanced by the white florals. Nicely blended. I got like 20% lavender at opening but it took 5minutes before it was overpowered by the white florals and vanilla. Then the coconut shows up in 15 minutes adding a vacation vibe to the performance. It leans sweet on the dry down and not overly sweet. This perfume is not all in your face but very potent. I get 7 hours. Love it so much and worth every penny for the biggest bottle.

the Libre DNA is still very present but...this one is creamier and less sultry. as someone who dislikes Libre and all the flankers, i tried so hard to give this one a chance but.....NOPE. still nope. 11/12/25 ~ THIS IS AN EDIT. omg is this any sign of aging?? i used to hate all on Libre line, but now, ohh myyyy i am hooked on LIbres! now let me start on Libre Flowers And Flames, i hated it when i tested it in May. Now as im typing this in December, with it on my both arms, im just soooo in loveeeeeeeeeeee...this is the OG Libre with an added slight touch of greens and ...creamy coconut. it seems more tropical. to add more umphhh to it, i'd layer it with any vanilla perfume, i.e : Indult Tihota (my husband loves this combo on me) . Sorry YSL, i judged you wrong. im now your die hard fan on Libre and all its flankers ;)

She is very gorgeous to me☝️ LOVE this. Libre got a little more fresh, sweet, and clean. It’s giving sexy and sophisticated, with a little edge. The coconut is not extremely prominent, but it’s there. I’ve been wearing this in warm-ish (70°f) and cold (25°f) weather, and it’s wearable in both. Imo it’s feminine-leaning unisex. I’ve always liked OG Libre, just not enough to buy it, but when I smelled this, I HAD to have it. It is pretty true to the OG DNA. One thing I love is that it’s POTENT. Initial spray or 2 is totally in your damn face for about 30 minutes, then, it dies down after that. But I get potent all day wear on skin, and its longevity on clothing is amazing as well. This has the best longevity out of any fragrance I have. Bang for your buck and versatile fragrance.

this smells like the daydreams of my most intense crush. it was the height of the summer and i was obsessed. i thought he was the sun god. it smells like sheets washed with a lavender detergent that were dried in the august sun but now are slightly damp after your dream sequence, a twinge of man’s deodorant left on the pillow that is now smeared with sweat and sunscreen. you ate an orange at lunch and gave him half. you want him to be so close he can smell your vanilla hand lotion. it won’t happen but the wisps of your dreams tinge your reality and that is enough. this is heady and delicious and sexy and if i could bathe in it- with him- I would.

Oh my good lord I’ve found my libre. Did’nt care much for the OG. Own le parfum, love it, but think it’s to heavy and mature for casual wear. This is the perfect balance between playfulness and majestic. This is a woman who knows what she wants and ain’t afraid to go get it. But she will do it with charm and a smile. You’re not afraid of her but you want to be her. She cracks jokes but work hard at the same time. My Crystal noir parfum bottle just got a little competition here. They are not the same, don’t think that. But this is the first time my girl Crystal getting close to loosing her crown! Go sniff this people!!!

I was ready to be annoyed with yet another flanker, but I really like this. Got a tester and from the first sniff, I can smell the original DNA, but it is much sweeter and creamier, and the floral is not as potent; definitely delicate. I cannot smell the coconut at all, but maybe if it was more noticeable, it would make it more related, yet individualized. I can see this being a year-round and/or signature scent also, but I would reach for this for night and cooler days. Just like Good Girl, to me, Libre and the flankers set the tone for the sexy, feminine, “Here I am,” wearer!

Without a doubt YSL is one of the best designer perfumes and Libre proves it. I smelled this one the last time I went to the mall with my sister to pick out a new perfume (she is not as addicted as I am). We smelled it and we were both fascinated by the scent! It smells like a very elegant, empowered woman who knows what she wants and does not hesitate to get it. The longevity of this perfume is insane, both on skin and clothing. No lie it took two full days to wear off completely. Undoubtedly a very good perfume and I highly recommend trying it. 10/10

When I saw the recent release of flowers and flames, I really wanted this perfume as it sounded very much my kind of scent, and I was totally right. It sounds possibly a mess, but the lavender and coconut work really well together - to me it is reminiscent of Alien Goddess, but I find it less beachy and more cosy. Another nice surprise is that the longevity is off the chart - I applied it in the morning, I could still smell it at night. I hope this flanker gets to hang around for a while, because I absolutely love it.

Finally, a Libre that can be worn in the summer. This is literally a Libre summer fragrance. I think in all weathers but will most definitely shine in the warmer weather, whereas the others are too heavy and make it look like you’re desperate for attention if you go more than one spray on a hot day. There’s a slight creaminess on my skin, lightly sappy and the blend of coconut and palm just sets it apart from the original and other flankers. Gorgeous and best of all, no jasmine so it doesn’t give me headaches.

I have quickly grown to adore this fragrance. Initially I wasn’t positive, as I’m not the biggest Libre fan. It tends to be a bit too much for me and my nose (I do like the intense flanker though). ANYWHO, flower & flames is an absolute beaut. She starts off heavy, heavy floral, but then the lighter notes balance that out perfectly. To me it has the Libre OG dna big time, but the added notes softens it without taking away the longevity and sillage. This is one of the rare ones that I’d label as beast mode!

I tried few libre but no my cup of tea to be honest, sad because I loved the bottle and wanted to have it in my collection. 2 days ago went to Boots to try new lveb nude but they did not have it and saw that libre on the shelve. Asked for few sprays and felt in loooooveee 😍. There is lil of libre dna but with beautiful lilly, coconut, so feminine and sweet version of libre. And guess what...I ordered bottle online and waiting for delivery. Im going to have that beautiful bottle in my collection finally 🥰

A more floral and summery version of Libre, I fell in love after the first spritz, but I must say I myself love white florals and coconuts so this was kind of a no brainer for me! Very happy to have it in my collection. Staying power and sillage is ok, I could still smell it on my clothes the next day, and got decent whiffs of it during the day I had it on. For me flowers and flames is for summer nights, as I love my freshies for the hot summerdays. But I do think she will be also great for Fall season!

I have to say, this perfume REALLY grew on me. I initially bought it last Christmas and found myself a little bit disappointed; it was nice, but a bit too strong for my taste. I let it sit for the last few months and now that it's Autumn here in Australia, this is so beautiful! Very sophisticated and blended incredibly, it's hard to comment on one note in particular because they all go so well together imo. Wear this when you want to feel put together and chic, be careful not to overspray though!

I didn’t have high hopes for this perfume as the reviews said it was similar to OG Libre and there is a screechy note i can’t identify in OG Libre puts me off. However, I wanted to try it because I love intense and platine. I do really like this version. It’s softer than OG, missing that screechy note, but not as weak as the edp. There is a creamy note to it which I think is a hint of coconut or the palm. It’s not quite a beast like the others but is decently a fresh and clean scent.

I had edt and decluttered this smells similar but has a vanilla note and less white floral. I also have the intense I sprayed this and that on both wrists and this is more fresh with vanilla it almost smells zingy maybe it’s the bergamont which is one of my favorite notes. og has too much lavender for me. I really like this one. It lasts forever I just used one spray. I think this flanker is happy medium between everything. The intense is too heavy for me.

First impression: At very first sniff I find the smell extremely familiar! I like to think what I recognised was the Libre OG DNA. On dry down, it becomes more pleasant- becomes an easy on the nose, feminine fragrance. Smells like a business woman - very elegant, but with a note of something original. The lavender is not that harsh as in the OG, and the coconut and vanilla makes it creamier and more pleasant. I prefer this to the Libre OG.

if Libre og is the sexy version, this is the most romantic and elegant one out of all the range. Actually, most romantic scent I've smelled in a while in general. It's a little lighter, softer and more floral but same dna ofc. I feel like its the best out of all the flankes, im in LOVE with it. A little creamier, a touch sweeter, a whole bunch alluring. I don't know why people say it smells synthetic, to me it doesn't at all!

These notes sound really beautiful for spring and summer. I've been looking for a nice coconut fragrance forever living in Australia 🥥 🌴 I love lavender but keep hearing that the original has too much and smells medical. I only clicked on this because of the name "Flowers & Flames" sounded exactly like my thing 💐🔥!! I adore anything with Lily too. Here's hoping I can find a sample. Definitely going on my want/test list.

I am a huge fan of the original Libre and can’t stand Platine (for some reason it reminds me of a recently cleaned gas station restroom, I think it’s the aldehyde). I adore Flowers and Flame, possibly even more than Libre. It opens very similar to the OG Libre with some shared dna in the middle notes but definitely noticeably different due to the coconut. All in all it’s just as much of a boss lady scent as Libre.

Most balanced and smooth of the line imo. Lavender, orange blossom, and vanilla are all balanced here and equally share the spotlight. Libre EDP is lavender heavy and sharper imo. The younger boss bitch if you will. Libre Intense is amber heavy. This is giving rich aunty Both great fragrances but this is the most in between and easiest to like. It's the woman who's put together, smart, and classy

Fell in love with Libre Flames & Flowers at various airports. Projects like crazy, lasts for days on clothes, absolute stunner. First perfume I own that had various female colleagues ask what I was wearing. She and Alien Goddess are cousins to my nose, AG is sweeter, nectar-like, while LFF is a jasmine bush next to the beach at about 6pm, more floral, fresher, and even slightly aromatic.

This is by far my absolute favorite Libre!!! I didn't really like the others at all especially on me they smelled so dated. This one and the silver bottle Libre Libre L'Absolu Platine are the only ones I liked but this one omg!!! Love it! It's giving beach vibes or maybe not beach but fancy resort love it! It's simple but so good. Kinda reminds me a bit of sun kissed goddess kilian

I love this one. I think it’s my fave from the line, I loved the original but that was a bit too sharp, I also owned the Le Parfum version but it was a tad too mature for me. This new one Flowers and flames has the best balance of citrus and sweetness and it has a smooth sugary quality to it. With a slight sun tan cream edge. This one lasts over average and it’s just beautiful.

I have the OG and Intense version, but this one surpasses them. Finally a lavender that is blended with the supporting notes so well that the oftentimes astringent soapiness is relaxed and only the headiness of the flower takes center stage. I think you can get away with this for daytime if you spray lightly, but it definitely will make a date night end well. 10/10 for me.

After finally trying all of the Libre perfumes, I can say that this one is my favorite. It's softer and creamier than the rest, very feminine and sensual. It's slightly green, not overwhelming, with a mild tropical vibe, I can't smell the coconut but it's definitely mildly tropical, very pleasant. It's projecting very well and it's long lasting. Ticks all the boxes for me.

No coconut smell, or palm tree greeness. Above it says coconut-palm-tree-FLOWER which is a fantasy floral note, not the coconut food. To me it's OG Libre with more orange blossom, which I like! Adds a little white lily, and the lavender is slightly less than in the OG. I prefer this to the OG Libre, because I like white florals the best. Fresh and nice!

I personally cannot stand the EDT or the OG, but adore the Le Parfum a LOT! This seems to be a lighter and brighter version of the Le Parfum, owing to the florals in the heart notes. I’d say that it’s not necessarily something you’ll like if you cannot stand white florals in combination with lavender. I’m calling this my daytime Libre! 9/10 for sure!

my favourite perfume of all time! i absolutely love sweet scents. to me this scent is like being wrapped in a warm blanket, it’s so feminine and sweet. i find it to be such a comforting and elegant smell that’s really versatile, i think it’s good for both everyday wear and going out of an evening. honestly nothing bad to say about this perfume!

Drugstore ‘Charlie’ circa 2001. PEZ sweets. The air freshener in public restrooms in Spain in 40c summer heat. Headaches... If these are your vibe then this is the one. Bonus points for relentlessly clinging on and lasting for endless hellish hours so you can really contemplate your poor decision to spray this on your own undeserving skin.

This is far less medicinal & headache inducing, and way more user friendly than the overpowering lavender filled “Yardley” impersonator of the original format. This is stunning, It reminds me of when I wore Gucci Envy in the early 00’s, fresh greens with florals and that hint of coconut is intoxicating , I cant stop sniffing myself.

This reminds me of the original a lot, but smoother and easier to wear. I LOVE this, which surprised me. Very nice sillage and long lasting. If the og was a bit loud or screechy-try this version. Edit: I can only smell the coconut when I compare the OG side by side. Otherwise it doesn’t smell overly coconut. Very well blended. 🤌

This one is my favorite in the Libre collection. It was a recommendation from someone, & I loved it since the first spray. The notes, the balance,.the dry down are just perfect. I remember some girl followed me just to ask what I was wearing (I sprayed it 5 hours ago) & she got herself a bottle too. Always gets me compliments 🤍

I tried YSL Libre Flowers & Flames along with Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc, and based on how they smell individually, I believe they would work beautifully together. The floral spicy warmth of Flowers & Flames would likely blend seamlessly with the creamy, sun-kissed vibe of Soleil Blanc. Now I need to buy them both to layer !!

the best libre hands down. this is a beautiful, creamy, almost smooth fragrance. i hate the OG libre because to me it was a migraine in a bottle, so i sold mine. but flowers & flames.. so, so, so beautiful. i want to wear it everyday. i feel beautiful, comfortable, radiant. this one is a compliment magnet, just like the others.

LOVE IT! I have been looking for the perfect signature for over a year, and I think I might have found it. Sweet, subtle, well blended, airy delight. It was a love at first sniff, and my favourite Libre so far. I also enjoy the intense, but this is slightly better 😍 even if you’re not that into YSL Libre, you might like this

Love it love it love it! I got a 10mL tester first, but I am obsessed with it. So vibrant, such a good vacation vibe. When I wear it to work, at least I can persuade myself, I am having a holiday near a beach. The sweetness is just perfect, not too sweet. The after scent is fresh but like summery fresh. So in love!

Toasty, creamy coconut plays with a white floral atop a base of sun-dried laundry. Although the consensus states this as overwhelmingly feminine, this works wonders with my skin chemistry and climate as a 32 year old man. As someone who lives somewhere that is perpetually summer, this is my new dumb reach!

A luxurious floral scent with a soft powdery touch. It smells refined and sophisticated. On my skin, the different notes play off each other beautifully and everything feels well blended, with no distracting or unpleasant accord sticking out. This is actually the first YSL fragrance I’ve truly liked.

such a beautiful smell, i'd say it's a more prettier version of libre edp. it lingers on my clothes for such a long time and the aroma of it really shows once you step outside and you can just smell it on yourself. have gotten plenty compliments on it too. will defo repurchase once its finished!

The only libre flanker I love. Creamy white flowers and coconut. I can also manage le parfum but this one is an instant love. It is much present so do not overspray. I realize that overspray can make the creamy florals to be very sweet. I will say it’s a spring and autumn perfume

My fav from the flankers. Compare to platine this is more floral with a little touch of gourmand from the coconut. While in platine the lavender is too primnent lean to masculine, in flower and flames the lavender is a bit tone down so it feels more feminine. Love this
