Libre Vanille Couture

I want to apologize to the person reading this upfront, just because this perfume is too good to be discontinued and I truly feel sorry for you if you hadn’t gotten the chance to at least smell this perfume. I feel betrayed by Yves Saint Laurent because they decided to make it “limited edition” because when people come up to me and ask me what Im wearing, every time I have to apologize and tell them the perfume has been discontinued. I don't think there has been a time I had been wearing that perfume and I hadn’t gotten a compliment and I cherish the 50ml I have left with my life. Once I was in the bathroom and the janitor stopped me to ask what I was wearing because it was that good. Another time, I was in my class and someone who sat next me told me over text I smelt heavenly but he didnt want to say anything outloud. I knew even before he said anything because in class, I litterlay saw his eyes ROLL TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD AS HE LEANED IN TO SEE MY NOTES! My Gymcrush smelt me, ( don't worry I wasn’t wearing the limited edition at the gym I was around the school campus with him where the gym was) and I hugged him and he just sniffed my neck and said I smelt “fruity” and he “couldn't describe it but it smelled amazing”. Anyways, it may just be my skin reaction with the perfume but it smells amazing. Sometimes, I’m just walking around the campus, and people literally whip their heads in my direction when I walk by and that only happens when I’m wearing YSL vanille couture. If you are a person who loves attention, this is for you. I hate when fragrance creators hype up a fragrance unless it is truly exceptional, which I beleive with my whole heart it is. I have around a 15 bottle perfume collection, and this is my favorite. Imagine wearing a fur coat during the winter and entering a 5 star hotel. That’s what this smells like. You get the right amount of vanilla, with a hint of lavender and, bourbon. I truly think it is the better version and what was meant to be of the original YSL libre. Perfection for the winter and fall. You will be the best smelling person in the room, if you don’t think so after smelling this perfume, please let me know so I know what perfume tops this one. If you are a female looking for something to seduce your crush or something crazy, I would tell you if it was actually available to get it. I regret not getting a second bottle of it. This is the fragrance you would actually get chased down with so be careful and stay safe. Also caution: I’ve noticed men go crazy with this like you will visibly see a reaction ifykim you didnt hear it from me. 5/5 perfume, I would say its criminal and greedy for YSL to make it limited edition.

Sweet, warm, powdery, floral, creamy, citrusy, bright, softly boozy, feminine, sensual, seductive, sexy, chic, classy, elegant, charming, whimsical, dreamy, captivating, delightful, luxe, radiant, luminous, sophisticated, alluring, inviting, cozy, comforting, soothing, versatile On me this opens with sweet, powdery, warm, and slightly boozy bourbon vanilla, delicately sweet and citrusy floral orange blossom, and aromatic and soothing lavender. As it dries down the rich and creamy ambery vanilla caviar intertwines with the other notes, and gives it a beautiful warm depth. It captivates and envelopes you in warm and luminous vanillas with effortlessly chic florals and whispers of boozy rum adding a luxe coziness. Absolutely gorgeous! As far as I’m concerned, Vanilla Couture is the best Libre period! It’s much smoother than the others, especially the OG. The Libres can come off somewhat screechy, especially in the opening because of the lavender. They did this one right as It’s also warmer, most likely due to the addition of 2 different vanillas and rum. To me it’s quite reminiscent of Burberry Goddess which I happen to love, so it’s certainly not a bad thing. Even though they are similar, I’m still very much enjoying having both in my collection! As for the Libres, honestly they’re all quite similar (although this one does stand out to me!), so if you don’t collect them then just go and try them out, and get your favorite (again, for me that’s Vanilla Couture!). This feels feminine to me, and suitable for women of all ages. I think it’s fitting for year round wear, although I’ll probably wear it the most during the fall, winter, and early spring. It’s suitable for all occasions from at home and casual, to work and/or school, to nights out and fancy occasions. Pretty on paper, gorgeous on skin. This lasted and projected for 12 hours on my skin. I’m thoroughly confused by the skin scent and low performance claims. This is my favorite Libre. This smells exactly like they said it would... I can’t for the life of me figure out why people are disappointed that a reimagination of Libre smells like Libre. Huh?? Anyway, YSL told us we were getting a Libre with a gourmand edge. Heavier Vanilla and a touch of rum... that’s exactly what this is, and my goodness, it is stunning. The original Libre is well loved, although not for me, for its unflinching, unabashed lavender orange blossom blend, only slightly tamed by a dry reticent vanilla. As someone who loves a floral vanilla and likes the idea of this scent, I have found myself simultaneously underwhelmed and overwhelmed by the original, intense and parfum flankers. I have always wanted a more reserved lavender, a more refined orange blossom and a bolder, wilder, more free vanilla. Alas, I now have exactly that. This is the most beautiful presentation of vanilla in the line. YSL has brought its les vestaires approach to this note to this special edition of Libre, and I believe answered their question of “what if?” Oh, it’s just as glorious as you thought it’d be. Warm, sweet, rich, delectable, and addictive. And positioning it front and center was exactly the right thing to do. I did initially think it was very similar to the others, but this one really needs to be worn to be understood. She opens up on skin in such a beautiful way. The transformation will take longer in fabric, but it will get there. It’s as if after a dose of rum, the florals become relaxed and the vanilla comes alive, seductive, bold, and enticing. I’m loving this composition, and find it worth having. In Vanille Couture, Libre has matured. She’s grown tired of being wild and free and is now steeped in the quiet confidence that comes with age. She knows who she is. She’s done discovering, she’s done proving, she IS. Main Character energy, she doesn’t need to tell you in order for you to know.

The Libre flankers I tried over the last few years were all misses for me... but I'm in love with Vanille Couture!♡ The opening is a bit heavy for me and comes off a little smoky.. It needs time to settle down (maybe 10 minutes?), but as it does, it sweetens up significantly! I find that its only an issue if I spray my skin too directly (I prefer to lightly mist scents when I'm not testing them, but for tests I spray my arm pretty directly) It gets better and better the longer its worn ♡ The rich vanilla and rum are a delight! They define the fragrance; sweet and boozy at its heart~ The lavender is subtle enough to not cause me headaches! (its a tricky note for me) The overall impression is admittedly similar to Burberry Goddess, but the lavender fades away faster and Vanille Couture is more gourmand! Its a smooth and creamy sweetness similar to that of Black Opium Le Parfum, but with more warmth and spice~ I love both perfumes this reminds me of, so I have no complaints! ^^/ For me, they have enough differences to enjoy all three for different occasions and they're not interchangeable if you love the scent profile! It also fills a similar niche for me as JPG Classique EDP (when I want to feel like a vintage showgirl), but less woody and a little less vintage feeling, making Vanille Couture more wearable for me~ Its a mature sweetness, and comes across as a grownup sultry scent... If Burberry Goddess is my daily/cozy choice, Libre Vanille Couture is the date night version! It evokes touseled hair, pouty lips, and smokey eyes.. A lady that expects to get what she wants~ This would be easiest to wear during cooler nights, as it could be too heavy in the heat.. Its definitely not an office fragrance! I'm so sad that this is limited edition.. I'll have to save up and collect a couple bottles for backup! Everything about the notes and the bottle are perfect for me ♡

The heart blooms with rich bourbon vanilla and boozy rum which melts into a smooth and sensual vanilla caviar at the base that’s tinged with the lavender and orange blossom. This is absolutely gorgeous! This is what the OG Libre should have been! It’s less sharp and much smoother with the additional vanilla. This Vanilla Couture, Le Parfum, and the new Berry Crush are my favorites of the whole line! I expected that this would be my favorite alongside Le Parfum, but Berry Crush surprised me as I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it’s gorgeous too! Vanilla Couture obviously shares similarities with the others in the Libre line. I also am reminded of Burberry Goddess which to me is a less floral, and more fresh spicy vanilla. A couple of days ago I went to my local perfume store wanting to test this perfume before purchasing it for my wedding day. However, the bottle was completely empty, so I tested 4 other perfumes. I went outside and waited for them to develop - and although all of them were fantastic and are definitely perfumes I’d like to own some day, they weren’t ‘the one’. My heart was still dead set on this one, even though I could only smell the head of the bottle - and it smelled divine. After some careful consideration I decided to purchase it blindly - how different can it be from any other Libre perfume? I received it today and spritzed it only once - after all, it’s supposed to be the scent for the wedding. I love Libre Intense, it’s just the perfect scent IMO. I adore Burberry Goddess, although I prefer the intense version of that one, too. However, this one is a very specific blend of those two perfumes. I wouldn’t call it revolutionary by any means, it has the same Libre DNA that is spread across all versions, but this one has that kind of warmth, coziness and depth in a non-intrusive way Libre Intense (my favourite of them all) doesn’t have. The vanilla becomes more prominent after 20 mins and exactly then is when this perfume shines. I’m beyond happy I listened to my intuition and purchased this perfume. It’s phenomenal. I can’t wait to wear it. Even though I enjoy layering different perfumes and I honestly thought I might do that this time as well, Vanille Couture is good on its own. Nothing needs to be added or taken away.

I was determined that I’d love the original Libre and bought that on a whim - big mistake. It was almost too cloying on me that it made me sick. My SA had me try all the other flankers and I did not liked them. She then introduced me to the EDT and I fell in love with the white flower accords that I ended up wearing it almost daily. Enter the Libre Vanille Couture. When it was first released, I heard a lot of raves about how good it smells but wasn’t convinced that it’ll be any different from the OG one. My SA was excited to have me try it in the store, and I truly ended up falling in love with it. I am usually not a vanilla scent kind of girl, but the bourbon vanilla in this one hits differently. It smells rich and almost gourmand, but not in a cloying way. The dry down on my skin gave me a warm and sweet lingering scent, almost reminds me of the Black Opium Over Red. I bought it immediately and when I wore it on me for the first time on a night out, a close friend complimented on how good I smelled for the whole night. This really meant a lot to me as she never understood why I needed to splurge on expensive perfumes, and never agreed on my taste for them. This also has super longevity (7-10 hours) and great projection, I’m contemplating getting a second bottle for when I run out as this is a limited edition release.

At this point I’m convinced YSL has a secret underground lab where they cackle while designing flankers that bully the poor OG Libre into irrelevance. Every time they say “new Libre,” you know something fabulous is in store. We already survived Libre Intense, which came for our wallets. We barely recovered from Le Parfum, which came for our souls. Flowers & Flames lit our bank accounts on fire and I personally still said thank you. And now? You’d think, "It's just another vanilla.” WRONG. This vanilla side-eyes all the other vanillas. Burberry Goddess? La Vie Est Belle Vanille Nude? Mon Guerlain Intense? Sweet... very pretty, but... Vanille Couture is the CEO of Vanilla. She’s the patent holder. She’s the one teaching masterclasses titled How to Be Delicious Without Smelling Like a Cookie. Other vanillas are pretty linear, but this one struts, morphs, flexes, and then does a hair-flip in slow motion. It’s rich, it’s textured, it’s grown, it’s glamorous. YSL has officially mastered the art of releasing flankers so good they make the original look like a rough draft. Vanille Couture is a stunning, luxurious vanilla with excellent longevity and moderate sillage. Instant love! P.S. People should stop saying that YSL copies Burberry Goddess, when OG Libre came out 4 years before BG.

It’s just OK. I own the intense version and wanted to try this version. What I get is citrus, lavender followed by sweet vanilla. The vanilla is nice but seems at odds with the opening The dry down is nice, but on my skin it didn’t last as long as the sample of the OG Libre that I’d sprayed on the other hand. Ordered the vanille version, cancelled the order and ordered the OG instead as on me that has better sillage and longevity. Update 1: bought it again and it is still just OK. It still isn’t a long lasting scent, the first few minutes are powerful but then it dries down to a skin scent very quickly and the vanilla is faint compared to the vanilla is the Black Opium Le Parfum. I have the Libre Intense and I find the vanilla in that perfume is more potent. Update 2. I am getting lovely whiffs of the vanilla throughout the day. I wish that the dry down of vanilla, rum and orange blossom made an appearance earlier. This perfume has taken me on a journey from bitter lavender to anaemic jasmine to (eventually) intimate boozy vanilla. This is so good that I bought a second bottle.

I don’t own any perfumes from the Libre line but i love vanilla & got fomo so i just decided to blind buy it after reading many reviews. I’m not a big fan of the original or intense as they pull extremely masculine & screechy on me. I know it was a me problem because when my friends wear it, it smells divine on them. Took the risk & ordered it as there are not much bottles left floating around. It was a love at first spray for me. Finally a Libre that smells good on me! The lavender is not screechy, it’s sweet, so yummy but not in the gourmand sense. It smells so feminine & fresh but with a sweetness that ties everything so perfectly together. It still has the Libre dna but much more refined in my opinion. This is very mass appealing & i totally get the hype. Sometimes though i do notice it gets a TOUCH of masculine on me but not to the point of concern honestly. Smells so so good when it warms up on skin, i find it way more special & intriguing. Edit- Since falling in love with this, i have decided to re sniff the Libre line & in all honesty Le Parfum is amazing too 😮💨

LOOOOVVVE this one! I bought it at Sephora because it just came out today. By the time I left they only had one bottle remaining. I'm so bummed it's a limited edition! I might have to buy another bottle for backup. This fragrance is smooth, warm, and alluring, but not in a way that's overwhelming if you're in the car or elevator with someone wearing it. It's not overpowering or dark or spicy. It's the type of fragrance I'd want to wear if I were going out for date night, or to a fancy gala in a black velvet dress. But it also works as an everyday fall/winter scent because there's a sultry softness to it. There is a clean citrus vibe upon initial spray, followed by the signature orange blossom and deliciously NON-gourmand vanilla caviar that lingers. The vanilla is sophisticated and not overly sweet. I have been wearing it now for a few hours and I'm absolutely loving the dry down. It just smells expensive and the rum turns the vanilla more complex. Sexy. The longer it lingers on my skin, the more I love it.

if you haven't yet found a libre that works for you (if the lavender has been too loud in every one of the 35 flankers, but you'd love to love it like everyone else does).... this might be the one that does (at least it is for me). the lavender has moved over and made room for a boozy vanilla and heady, plump orange blossoms. round of applause for the Libre team, please!! it is different from the intense. the boozy vanilla is *everything*. everyone is obsessed with the dry down, and its fine - lavender and vanilla. its the opening & middle that are the stars for me. I actually wish the opening lasted longer because of how addictive it is. it is somewhat reminiscent of Burberry Goddess, but to me actually more so Rare (from rare beauty). Theyre similar, but I prefer Rare quite a bit. the general combination of that sent profile with Libre DNA is 10/10, no notes. between the scent and the beautiful bottle, they really hit the mark with this release. glad to have been able to grab it.

I remember buying libre intense when it first came out, and I would receive compliments from EVERYONE. Then it became so overly popular and I stopped, and switches to the le parfum version. Years later i returned to the le parfum, and when wearing it, It started to be super cloying and off putting on my skin! So I gave it to my mom. The original was too fresh/sharp/clean smelling. If I had to Pick between the line as someone who has owned all there, I would chose the intense, as the le parfum makes me nauseuos. After trying this, I knew i had to have it. It still has the libre dna, but with added Vanilla. And that stickyness/honey syrupy note is gone, but it still has the lavender and orangeblossom libre dna. This Perfume made me love libre again. Normally I would wait for a dupe, but I have tried so many and nobody really does the libre dna like YSL. I always find Them to be cloying or off putting. Especially the zara dupe and its flankers. Ended up giving then away every time.

Firstly, it is now very overpriced because it's a limited edition and sold out at most retailers, which is a shame because this vanilla is unique to me. In the opening, I notice a vibrant freshness from the orange blossom paired with warm vanilla. After a couple of hours, the orange blossom softens and blends seamlessly with the rum's boozy depth and richness, with the vanilla providing a constant glow as the scent dries down, and a hint of calming lavender mingles throughout. As usual with the LIBRE line, it's very potent: one spray goes a long way, filling a room and lasting for hours. It becomes your aura until it gradually fades. I'm so glad I bought this when it was newly released, compared to the prices I see now. I truly hope YSL makes this a permanent part of their LIBRE flankers, as I see nothing but positive reviews about it, and now it's hard to get your hands on. I'll make mine last as long as possible while I wait for that to become a reality.

I’ve explored almost the entire Libre line because I wanted to love it, but only the OG truly worked with my chemistry, instantly transporting me to the bold perfumes of the mid-80s. Everything else felt close, yet not quite right. That changed when I tried Libre Vanille Couture. From the first spray, I knew I’d found the one. In the mid-90s I went through several bottles of Kasmir, and Vanille Couture’s vanilla DNA immediately brought it back to me. This isn’t a sugary, gourmand vanilla, it’s a warm, spicy, oriental vanilla that wraps itself effortlessly around the orange blossom. The lavender, often too assertive in the rest of the line, becomes softer here, more refined, perfectly blended rather than dominant. It’s elegant, sensual, and unmistakably nostalgic without feeling dated. Sadly, being a limited edition means one thing: this is a scent worth stocking up on while we still can.

This one's gorgeous. I own Libre Le Parfum, and Vanille Couture is very much like that, but with...*drum roll*...extra sexy vanilla! (shocking, right?) If you want to take the edge off of the lavender in the other Libre flankers, you may like this one since the vanilla rounds it out. Just keep in mind that VC is bold, and better as a classy pick for cold weather. After trying this, I was about to sulk and whine about how I wished I would've waited to buy this flanker instead of Le Parfum... until I realized this smells nearly identical to my Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Essence de Parfum (obviously swapping the lavender for orange, but holy cow, the result is very much the same IMO - anyone else think so?) So, I'm good! I don't need Vanille Couture after all, lol. But do I love her? Absolutely. If she's still around after I run out of my Essence de Parfum, I'll grab a bottle.

Just my luck that this is a limited edition because I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one. I already loved the original Libre but don't feel that I can wear it for all occasions or settings. I'm in the habit of trying on fragrances in the store and having my husband smell them when I come home. He will smell my wrist, and usually say something like "Oh, I like that one." or "Maybe" (meaning he doesn't really like it). I came home wearing Libre Vanille Couture and didn't even make it through the house before he said "Hey, what's that perfume? That REALLY smells good." That's the only time he has done that, and he did so based solely on the sillage and without my asking. I kept smelling this on my write... so addictive. It lasted into the next morning before I showered. I hope they consider continuing this beyond being a limited edition. I'd hate to run out.

I love this. I’m really sad it was limited edition and that I didn’t buy a backup bottle. At first it was the only Libre I owned - I’d only smelled the others in stores and I thought they all smelled similar enough but art getting samples or travel sized of the OG and a couple other flankers, they definitely are different enough to own together and this one is still by far my favorite! This one is definitely more vanilla forward, smoother and more wearable for me. This one is heavy on the vanilla and just a lovely scent. Great projection and lasts literally all day on my skin. After about 4-5 hours the projection is gone and its a more intimate scent but still very present. And it lasts on clothes all day. I’ve worn it even in warmer winter days here in FL though it may be overpowering on a really hot humid summer day.

I'm honestly sad about this release because it's finally a Libre I LOVE and of course it has to be a limited (?) edition. I tried all of the previous versions, some were nicer than others but I always struggled with the aggressive laundry detergent/fabric softener aspect. And I actually enjoy anything marketed as fresh laundry scented. But apart from the bottle (which is a classic imo) this line was always a let down. Enter Vanille Couture. The og composition is still there but dialled way down. The vanilla and sweetness is turned up, just south of cloying. It's kinda fleeting which is probably not a bad thing - smelling this sweet vanilla all day long would be too much for my taste. Anyway, it is finally what I expected the Le Parfum to be like. Big love.

I love it. This is my first ever full bottle purchase from the YSL Libre line. It’s the perfect vanilla scent for anyone who resists smelling like a scoop of vanilla ice cream all day. The vanilla note is present but it does not overpower the other notes; which will makes this a scent to beat for the ladies who want to smell detectible (vanilla forward) but still put together (clean white floral) I really wish they made this a fixed fragrance! This is the only vanilla scent I’ll ever use for the rest of my life. I understand the other reviews saying you can replicate this scent by mixing other perfumes. But if you don’t have those perfumes (which can be expensive) and want a classy, well-balanced vanilla scent, then this is the one to get!

Beautiful vanilla dry down that really comes out and stays intimate on the skin 3-6hour into wear. Initial impression when sprayed is very typical of the other Libre scents. Lavender and orange blossom over powers the slight vanilla and rum note. It stayed like that on my skin for the first 2 hours of wear. After that, is what I’m obsessed with! A sophisticated gourmand vanilla. Perfect for gourmand fans, looking to level up and mature their collection. The silage of this is noticeable to others. I’ve gotten compliments even after 6+ hours into wear. Although it isn’t the most noticeable fragrance out here when it comes to a strong lingering scent, in my opinion and personal experience. A solid 7.5/10 rating for me!

I’d be curious to try this because it sounds like something I would like, but as of now I’m not seeing any tester sizes or a rollerball option - just the full $150 bottle. I’m not willing to blind buy something like this because of the lavender. I haven’t tried any of the Libre line yet because I’m worried about that lavender in there. Don’t get me wrong. I like lavender, love lavender, but not particularly in a perfume. It’s usually too strong & overpowering & it’s one of those notes that give a lot of people headaches (like patchouli). If I ever try any of this line I’ll have to come back and let everyone know if the lavender was too prominent for people who are wary of wearing lavender.

At one point I was thinking it’s my second favourite Libre after Libre Le Parfum just because it’s not very long lasting.. however I feel like it has become my favourite Libre flanker now. It’s smooth vanilla, lavender and rum. I love the fact it’s not too sharp as other Libre flankers, and it has this beautiful booziness from the rum note. The top notes are the same beautiful as the dry-down. I only wish it lasted longer on my skin, however lasts about two days on my clothes. I feel it’s great fall and winter perfume but would also be great for summer evenings. I love it so much that I even bought a back up bottle, as it’s sold out most places now. 10/10 for me. I hope they bring it back.

I finally purchased this after going back and forth on it since its release and i absolutely love it. Yes it smells like the original, but better. It’s smoother and sexier, no sharp lavender. Maybe the added vanilla and rum smoothed it out compared to the OG but I love this so much. 1.7 oz for $150 is stupid though. I wish the bottle was bigger because the price tag would at least make sense. Overall I really love this. It has the power you’d expect from a libre perfume. This is perfect for when intense is just too deep but the OG is not deep enough. I love the bottle too and I love how you can see how much perfume you have left through the clear sides of the bottle.

i love the smell of libre and all of its many flankers. it’s my best friends signature scent and it ALWAYS smells amazing. on me, every libre i’ve tried always turns stinky. something about the overdose of white florals just turns sour on me. but finally!!! there is one that i love and smells great on me. vanille couture ups the vanilla a bit and turns down the overdose of white florals. it’s still an orange blossom bomb but the extra vanilla and rum addition really mellows it out in my opinion. yes, this smells like many of the other versions and is probably redundant to almost everyone else. but i am just happy to finally have a libre that i can wear and love!

Libre Vanille Couture is one of my favourite perfumes in my collection. I picked up a bottle overseas a couple of months ago. I wish it wasn't a limited edition and that YSL would permanently add it to the Libre collection. Deffinetly my favourite vanilla perfume that I own or have smelled so far. Will be trying to purchase a back up bottle on my next overseas trip as I want to wear it all the time in these colder months but dont want to run out of it. I find the longevity on my skin to be fantastic, put it on about lunchtime yesterday and can still smell it on my wrists. Also got a couple of comments saying I smelled amazing.

When I first sprayed this, it gave me OG Vibes -- and this is why I always say test fragrances on your skin!! Coz 15 minutes later? The vanilla and sweetness came through and I fell in love. I think those who are saying it's "underwhelming" is looking for that sharp Lavender heavy hit the OG gives --- but that''s what I love about Vanille Couture. It's smoother, wwarmer and the blend is everything I love balancing the vanilla against the floral backbone! Performance on my skin 6-8 hrs (depending on the day) - and it survived Vegas heat! I think it's absolutely beautiful with just the right warmth and sweetness.

This is the best fragrance I’ve put my nose on all year. Period. She is a stunner. Absolute gorgeous! I’m not a fan of the original Libre and the other flankers because the lavender and citrus is just so screechy. This one however is smooth and so vanilla with a touch of something fresh and clean but a little sweet and lasts forever. I happened to be baking while wearing this and couldn’t help but notice the similarities between almond extract and this scent - so yummy! This is such a refreshing take on a mature vanilla without it being full of sandalwood.

I'm not a huge Libre fan-- just preference, the orange blossom doesn't agree with me. But this one I'm on board with. It's very smooth and vanilla forward, but still floral, not gourmand. The aromatic lavender is barely there, just enough to lift it from being too sweet. Easy to wear but elegant. This is more similar to Intense or le Parfum than the original or other flankers. I guess I waited too long to test out my sample because I'm only now seeing how VERY limited edition it was. Disappointed they moved so quickly on from this one to Berry Crush.

I think that Libre Vanille Couture is delicious! I don't like the original at all whatsoever, but this absolutely blew me away. The vanilla adds so much richness and depth, and the orange blossom pairs well with the lavender. I think the rum might be the best part because it gets richer and deeper in the dry down. On my skin this lasts all day, I have had no issues with longevity. I feel like this smells like an exact combination of Burberry Goddess and Gucci Gorgeous Jasmine, so do with that what you will.

The apple has fallen far from the tree. The fragrance is silky-smooth, wrapped in creamy vanilla. It feels warm, cozy, and comforting. Lavender is only subtly perceptible—perhaps as much through expectation as through presence. The rum accords are equally smoothed out, lending the composition a touch of weight and depth. Like the original, it offers long-lasting performance, yet wears far more intimately. It could easily stand on its own as a new creation rather than a flanker of Libre.

Hmm..Strong like! Obviously very vanilla, not the sweet kind, the rum is light,but that's pretty much the only thing i can feel, other than the vanilla, glad the lavender is very toned down..i marked it as 'more female'- pretty much like the rest of the libre line, it won't be your most feminine scent..it performes well; silage,projection and longevity-wise..it's kind of a love child of the og libre, burberry goddess and valentino extradose in a BEAUTIFUL BOTTLE! :)

this is what i wanted the original libre to be. you still get that iconic orange blossom, but unlike the og it doesnt bite at my nostrils. the lavender is much, much softer and the rum note adds this complexity. the vanilla isnt an edible, cupcakey vanilla but instead it just adds this sweetness and smoothness. and it is MAGICAL in the dry down - the creamy, sensual vanilla is sooo luxe. my wrists have been glued to my face! this is such a beautiful flanker.

Confident, warm, and magnetic. It’s smooth, golden, and enveloping. Beautifully luxurious without being loud or overpowering. Rather than sugary or heavy, the vanilla in here is polished, decadent, and sensual. Wearing it feels like wearing something impeccably tailored... it radiates sophisticated, empowered femininity. This fragrance lingers on the skin with a quiet intensity, leaving behind an aura that feels self-assured with a gourmand-woody depth.

This smells like the OG but with less lavender and more vanilla. Spray it on your skin to get the real notes, the paper doesn’t do it. It’s beautiful and whoever says this smells like Goddess needs their nose checked or need a break from the fragrance world because WHAT??? Can’t take these ridiculous claims seriously. It’s very similar to the OG on initial spray and after a few the vanilla caviar sweetness comes through strong and lasts forever.

It’s beautiful! Tried it today at Primor. I am getting it tomorrow. The bottle is stunning. I am a fan of the Libre line (hated it before) and this one is more similar to the intense version but vanilla is amplified. I have multiple flankers from this line and honestly, it’s not necessary to get another one, however it’s so pretty. I suggest getting it if you are a fan of the Libre line and specifically like softer vanilla.

Since it’s limited edition, I really wished it came in 100ml instead of just 50ml. I love this scent, it’s so intoxicating and such a juicy vanilla, not too creamy. Very nice balance between the florals and gourmand. However, even after 8 sprays, it doesn’t last long on me, approximately 3 hours max which is a bit sad. Pretty good projection within the first hour though. Probably my favourite out of the Libre collection.

This one is the best one so far! I can't stop smelling myself! But you have to like the original DNA to like this one. It isn't completely different from the original, although the notes say it is. Still orange blossom and lavender forward but the vanilla makes it much, much softer. Not a safe blind buy, don't buy just because you're a vanilla girl. It does bring to mind this rich auntie vibe so it's still very perfumey.

Until now Le Parfum was my favorite Libre flanker but Vanille Couture has stolen the crown! First, the bottle itself is just art. It looks good on my tray. But the juice is top tier! The original DNA is there, of course, but the addition of vanilla caviar and rum makes Vanille Couture really special. This is so good I got a backup right away since it's limited edition. Absolutely worth adding to your collection.

a more luxurious and decadent version of libre intense. it has the warmth of libre intense, but there's this sexiness to it that isn't quite there in the intense version. warm on the skin, delicate with the vanilla, orange blossom, and lavender. but the vanilla caviar and the rum, they add so much richness to the fragrance. very very beautiful and sensual addition to libre!!

I wanted to smell this in person before buying online, and was prepared for it to be kind of basic as the reviews below are mixed. This is beautiful! It reminds me more of the OG than the intense. *Edit: it might be too similar to the OG to keep. Definitely compare them in store before you buy. **i can report that it lasts ALL day. Can still smell if on my arm 8+ hrs later

This is my favourite from the libre lineup, it’s fresh, vanilla undertones, mass appealing, could be worn year round (if not oversprayed in the summer). The tester bottle me and my girlfriend had tried was nuclear asf, but when we bought it the performance was a tad bit underwhelming. Still decent performance though (6+ hours??). 10/10 smell, 7/10 performance.

I love YSL Libre scent profile and I’ve been wearing the OG for about 3 years now. However, Vanille Couture is the best flanker produced. This autumn/winter 2025, I reach for it more than the OG for layering or on its own. This was well blended. I hope they don’t discontinue this fragrance because it’s actually very good and a must have for YSL Libre lovers.

Lovely, soft feminine orange blossom and vanilla with lavender in the background. I really enjoy these kind of soft easy reach feminine Fragrances. Very happy with my bottle. Completely inoffensive- was nervous about rum & lavender but really mass appealing soft/light notes. Decent longevity, not massive projection.

I got it for Christmas and it's love at first sniff (it is a huge surprise for me, because I'm not a fan of lavender and orange blossom). Elegant, feminine, sophisticated.Beautiful. Sadly it is limited edition. Which flanker would you recommend to purchase after this, that is the most similar? Intense or Le parfum?

This flanker was very underwhelming it’s about the same as the Le Parfum version it’s not that unique of a flanker the Flowers and Flames was the most different to my nose I was disappointed in this one I expected a more gourmand version it was just heavy sweet orange blossom and lavender with a soft vanilla

This is like the original on steroids, definitely spray lightly or it will kill you. I took a shower and could still lightly smell it on my skin and I scrubbed. I do smell more vanilla with this one but the lavender is definitely there . I do like this one better than the original I must say. I love it.

I find this scent far more enjoyable than the original, it is a very strong vanilla with a beautiful rum base note. I love that this fragrance is sophisticated and elegant and not nauseating sweet. I feel that this is due to the softness of the lavender. I just wish this wasn't limited edition!

I absolutely love this flanker! I am Libre hater btw...hate the other flankers and og version, but this one is so different. Such a beautiful, deep vanilla with just a hint of lavender. It is smooth, sexy, feminine. So sad this is limited edition. Wish this to stay in the Libre line forever

Somehow I've found every other version of Libre intolerable... I can't even smell the original Libre on paper without getting a massive headache. And yet this, from first spray to drydown, wears like an absolute DREAM on my skin. The vanilla is rich, the florals are beautiful.
