Mon Paris Lumière

Scent is definitely subjective! While others might not find it extraordinary, my eyes rolled to the back of my head and I went a little wild spraying it so I could be IN my scent bubble! 😍 Skin? Sprayed. Clothes? Sprayed. Robe and blanket? Sprayed! Suffice to say that I LOVE this fragrance and I absolutely recommend trying it if you haven't! 💕 Oh, and this was a buy without trying for me. But I do enjoy the OG Mon Paris and Intensement is next on my list. I will add that my s/o does not like patchouli and despite me finding this sexy to wear and very date night appropriate, I don't wear this to date night with him. I really like this. I bought this as a result of a conversation and whim, as I really liked the bottle design and figured that, even as a dude, why not have a perfume? I got it on sale, and figured worst case I could always keep it handy for a party. While the top notes end up smelling very feminine, The skin smell is actually fairly unisex, with a smell that's really fresh and pleasing that any dude with a decent fashion sense could reasonably pull off. I think the only real downside is that the longevity is just okay. I'm not very well versed in perfumes, but I think this product, at least in my case, is far better than I thought it would be.

I tested it randomly in a store and fell in love. Mon Paris the original never quite did it for me, I find it a bit cloying. But this is bright, juicy, sparkling, mesmerizing,just wonderfull . Quite strong, too. The only thing I am sad about is that the biggest size offered is 50ml 😢.

Smells exactly like the original Mon Paris which I love so much! I can’t tell any difference between the two. Not sure how anyone can. Maybe my sense of smell is not sophisticated enough Maybe it just doesn’t last as long but that’s it.

Mon Paris was enjoyable to me but was curious about this one with the aquatic note. I like it but don’t love it. The opening notes blend together into a generic department store smell, and very sweet, more like a Meyer lemon or bergamot than a sharp citrus. I could see this being cloying for some people. I do like this a lot more on the dry down where the white florals start to bloom. Easy, inoffensive reach. Pleasant, but not inspiring. edit: I’m updating the review to add that this one did well for me in heat. Still sweet but in a flirty and glittery way. I wore this to the office on a warm day and went to yoga. By the time I was done with yoga this sparkling sweetness of white floral and lemon top notes were really projecting, grounding through to the lingering chypre base closer to the skin. Toeing the line of too sweet but never crossing it. I really think this one needs heat to show its true colors.
