Yvresse Eau de Toilette Legere

I've not been lucky to smell original yvresse,it's really hard to find in my country,but I have a mini of legere version,which was a love at first sniff for me I get lots of powdery mimosa sweetened by a delicious honeyed fruity Accord,nectarine and grapey casis..I can also detect a hint of my most beloved note,heliotrope here,maybe it's lilac playing this role,in dry down fruit notes calm down and there are some woody notes added to this dominant mimosa scent,but this woodsy notes are delicate and just in background For me yvresse legere is a lovely powdery floral with some sweet fruits and a woody undertone, I wished the initial phase last longer,that bubbly fruity sweetness,so much like a fruity champagne,I also like my fragrances to be loud and long-lasting..this one has a good staying power and sillage is good in opening but then it becomes soft,so I think I will love original yvresse even more.though this one is definitely a full bottle worthy for me It's feminine and delightful,lifts my mood and is sweet and bubbly yet elegant..it's not fresh,but is kind of summery,I'm going to wear it year round as soon as I buy a bigger bottle,also I'm going to look for original yvresse ❤❤❤❤❤

Very soft and gentle floral on me. Slightly powdery...which I love. It certainly gives a sense of elegance..but not opulence. Lovely and inoffensive. Nectarine is the strongest note for me. Oddly at times this perfume wafts up at me in the disguise of Chloe Narcisse...and at other times Guerlain Samsara near drydown... Though I enjoy this beautiful scent, I find that there is just not enough depth to keep me engrossed and not enough staying power to warrant the expense of another bottle. It is reminiscent of many other scents and (to me) it seems unfinished somehow...like it needed another 5 mins in the oven.. L: Weak S: Moderate

13. march 2013 If you love original "Yvresse" but find it too loud sometimes to wear then this one would be your perfect match. I don ́t know if "Yvresse" is different than original "Champagne" formula, i only have original Champagne and never tried the "Yvresse" version, except this one. Where "Champagne" is loud, syrupy sweet and fizzy in a good way, this one is shadow of the original. I find mimose to be the most dominant note in this composition, surrounded by nectarine, lilac and cassis. However the original version is all about peaches and chypre. The drydown of "Legere" for me is quite synthetic and all about mimose. Inbetween i do smell a hint of rose and vetyver, but the frgrance in general is so soft, that normally if you wear it you might even not notice those notes. This version is a quiet one, much softer sillage and weaker lasting power. Too quiet i would say. I think this would be better for spring or cold summer days, But original version is more suitable for fall-winter and great for summer nights. To be completly honest, i am dissapointed in this version in terms of sillage and lasting power, however it is very lovely still. Better go for original version. UPDATE: (30.april 2013) after wearing it several times i came up to conclusion that this is not a good one. The opening is very powdery mimose, for my nose is not pleasant at all and very simple. Then it just dissapeares after 20 minutes and stays very close to the skin, almost undetectable. No, not my taste at all. I have compared the original "Champagne" and "Yvresse legere" on both wrists and "Legere" is the looser for sure in this fight. The scent of "Legere" is actually the less intensive drydown of the original "Champagne". I can ́t even call them similar fragrances at all, this is not a lighter version of the original, this is different version, different scent. While i can ́t take my nose off the "Champagne" wrist, i smell almost nothing on "legere" wrist. I would compare them like a couple of people with similar interests, that start to live together and share some similar hobbies, tastes etc, but in general they still have thier own hobbies that are quite different from each other. Unmarried couple wiling to get married but can ́t make it due to mutual dissagreement. :) Still, i ́ll stick to the original. I am letting the "legere" go without any regrets. Fragrance Review For Yvresse Legere Yves Saint Laurent *Eau de Toilette Top Notes Nectarine Cassis Middle Notes Rose Lilac Mimosa Base Notes Patchouli Vetiver Oak Moss YSL's Champagne, later renamed Champagne because of a law suit, was a summer fruit cocktail poured onto your nose. It was an aroma for days, many notes, heavily fruity; a peach nectar of the gods. Legere is nothing like it. This is the Eau de Toilette version of Champagne Yvresse and I would even go as far as to call it a Fragrance Mist. It's a light, subtle sweet scent with a life span of 2 or 3 hours. During those hours you only get a faint whisper of the original Yvresse. The peach is replaced by a nectarine, synthetic, sweet, but not cloying; a nectarine I've experienced over and over again in many fruity floral fragrances which I won't go into right now. But I do like nectarine scents, however they do it, so this is a pleasant very sweet nectarine/nectar scent. The cassis is also very perceptible. I love cassis or cassia which is essentially the same a currant notes black or red currant. It's a sweet grape scent. So the opening is an enjoyable sweet little fruit. The heart is supposed to be floral but once again the fruit, though comprised of only two notes, is the dominant accord. The whole thing becomes a cassis scent when the nectar scent begins to disappear. Before long a mimosa or something like a heliotrope flower scent emerges. I love mimosas and heliotropes and they smell the same in perfume as notes. The lilac scent joins the heliotrope-like mimosa. I get sweet pretty little flowery scents of two flowers I really enjoy: heliotrope and mimosa. The currant is still there to keep it fruity. It's soft and not at all an exaggeration of fruity floral scents. Legere dries down to a hint of vetiver and moss. It's woodsy but delicate and even towards the end you still smell the fruit. I would classify this as a fruity floral fragrance mist. It's very very easy to wear and perfect as a spring and summer scent. It's fresh, it's light, it's sweet, it's youthful, airy, and delicious. It's a good fragrance to wear to the beach for a couple of hours, to a pool, that is if you're the type that hangs out by a pool wearing perfume on the chairs taking in some sunlight. This is a scent to enjoy on a cruise ship or sailboat, totally summery and fun. It doesn't make a statement. Legere doesn't throw out a lot of sillage and sits on your skin. It's also short-lived but enjoyable during the 3 hours of it's performance. I do enjoy it but I am a bigger fan of Yvresse Champagne which is the ultimate party perfume. If you have had a bad experience wearing Yvresse Champagne and would still want to wear something similar to it but lighter, try this one instead. Enjoy.

This is a very special one for me. It was my first ‘real’ perfume a gift from my father which grew me out of the ‘So’ ranges imagine a leap like that ! My father also loves his fragrances and respectfully notices and comments good or bad his opinions so I always sought after his approval when ever I try something new and take his opinion seriously after all daddy’s always want best for their girls. This has a very vintage touch to it now I guess I used it end 90’s
