This Is Her! Zadig Dream

Let me begin by saying that I don't mind the Zadig & Voltaire DNA at all. This one opens up fruity, citrusy, a bit of peachy creaminess and delicious white floral with their classic nutty sandalwood base. Its "happiness" inference reminds me quite a bit of designer fragrances from the late 80's and early 90's. The dry down is very sexy but still youthful and the longevity is quite good as all Zadig & Voltaire fragrances are. I would definitely recommend it. I personally didn't purchase it because currently I am in love with a similar fragrance profile that is a bit more layered (but also quite a bit more expensive). Side note, I am testing this on a cold winter's day but from the advertising it looks like it might be meant more for summer - so it could be that it develops more complexity (especially in the base) in summer heat.

I love this one so much! I wear at home when I want to feel cozy all the time. It's fresh from the grapefruit and hazelnut than it turns into a creamy peach and dry down is a musky chestnut, little bit savoury. It resembles clean skin that smells good naturally. It's on the lighter side in terms of longevity and projection but I think it's meant for wearing during warm weather. I personally don't mind it because I wear it just to feel cozy and comfy. The original This is Her is a lot more vanillic and the chestnut is more pronounced. Versus Zadig Dream is subdued, fresh and more musky.

What a beautiful scent! The peach note reminds me of the Aussie hair products, it is amazing. The combo of fruits, nuts and white flowers is unique. It is a sweet summer perfume, not suntan oil-y type or ..coconut-y "fiesta" (thank God). The longevity and sillage are medium, a scent perfect for younger ages! You can't go wrong with it, you can even buy it blindly if you like, although I generally hardly recommend this. But, it is a proof of how much I enjoy it ...

@Lilasthefrenchgirl I had this issue with it during the cold months. I think it's the lily of the valley that turns kind of sharp and sour during winter. Since the weather is warm again, it smells nice and creamy again just like the first time. They released it during last summer so it makes sense that it shines in warm weather. Don't give up on it yet, it will come back around! :)

First impression only - tested it yesterday (21.07.2023) - a fun fruity sandalwood fragrance for summer! It opens up with sparkly Pomelo (might also be the grapefruit), jasmine & vanilla, that gradually turns into a creamy nutty sandalwood. This new edition is less lactonic & less sweet. In the middle stages, I got a prominent fruity accord - still not sure if it's a strawberry or, a grape. Jasmine + grape = Alien vibes, but maybe it's just me. It’s a pity about this perfume. In the first few seconds it smells tropical, fresh, beachy – like the perfect summer fragrance. But that impression lasts only a moment... then comes the disappointment. There is a dark floral note, something like violet, which bothers me, and the base turns sour (typical for all Zadig & Voltaire women’s perfumes). It could look beautiful and clean with white linen trousers and a white shirt, yet I find the combination of chestnut and lily of the valley smells more like a floor cleaner. The peach, which could have added juiciness, is completely absent.

When I first smelled this I fell in love so I asked to get this perfume for Christmas. After smelling it when I got it it was honestly really disappointing. I could not smell the peach anymore and now it just smells like flowers and sour milk. Maybe something is wrong with my perfume I don’t know but my family payed good money and I’m sad I don’t wear it.

In the beginning it smells indeed like a more summery version of the original edp, it seems kind of like a creamy peach smoothie, but the dry down is exactly the same as This is Her edp. That said, I like it, but since I already have the original edp, I believe having both will be redundant.

I personally don’t have it, but i smelt it on my friend who just got it. She really enjoyed it and was super happy and impressed with it. She isn’t much of a perfume nerd or anything, so we kind of disagreed on this one. She thought it smelt yummy, fresh and fruity, while i thought it smelt bitter and sour. I, for the most part, only got the bitter grapefruit note, and a bit of the benzoin and the peach. It may be because she is using it now while it’s snowy and minus celsius, but i just don’t appreciate the smell at the moment. Maybe i’ll update when the climate changes.

On the paper, it was a beautiful playful fruity scent, reminiscent of chewing gum. Unfortunately, after about 10 minutes, I felt rancidity on my skin. I had this same problem with Aventus, for example.. Unfortunately, the smell is beautiful, but not on the skin.. not on mine...
