Zadig Eau de Parfum

When a bottle looks magnificent, be aware I would say. Z&V house always creates nice and charismatic perfumes with their characteristic sandalwood/musky base. I don't know why, the opening was very promising. Sesame is something that I admire in creations and you don't see it regularly. Then, I get the exact same 'sweetness' of VLJ-Noir from JC (without having in the composition anything like berries BUT orange blossom/white flowers/vanilla? Hello, we meet again). I even see people that voted for Cheirosa 62 so our noses still work well thank God. All in all, it's a nice sweet and creamy perfume. If I hadn't the This is her EDP, I would gladly add it to my collection. When I see Clenc-Marie in the perfumers (one of the main stars of La nuit tresor EDP from Lancôme) I am sure that the gourmandise base will be guaranteed. That Chantilly cream combined with orange blossom gives you vibes of a orangie milky delight but the sandalwood makes it more perfum-y and rounds the composition. Sillage is bellow average but lasting power is OK.

to me it's a creamy and almost salty vanilla combined with neroli and orange blossom. I can imagine the popular hot girl using this as her signature scent. It reminds me of the Cool Girl monologue in Gone Girl: "Men always say that as the defining compliment, don’t they? She’s a cool girl. Being the Cool Girl means I am a hot, brilliant, funny woman who adores football, poker, dirty jokes, and burping, who plays video games, drinks cheap beer, loves threesomes and anal sex, and jams hot dogs and hamburgers into her mouth like she’s hosting the world’s biggest culinary gang bang while somehow maintaining a size 2, because Cool Girls are above all hot. Hot and understanding. Cool Girls never get angry; they only smile in a chagrined, loving manner and let their men do whatever they want. Go ahead, shit on me, I don’t mind, I’m the Cool Girl.". I just want to smell nice and get everyone's attention. I want to feel I'm the one you wished you were or were with.

I've had the opportunity to sample 5 Zadig & Voltaire fragrances for the first time and I found myself impressed with everything I smelt. Let me tell you about Zadig. I had no plans to test this fragrance being more interested in This is her and her friends, but I am glad I went along with it. Other than sesame, I smell all the notes and I like very much what I smell. The pepper notes balance the vanilla - cream dominant notes and the white florals further mellow it. If you said this fragrance had cashmeran, I'd believe it. There is a luxuriousness to the scent that I like very much. A strong like for the books. PS, the bottle is not ugly. It will require space as it sits horizontally but it has a certain allure to its (for lack of a better word) uniqueness.

Okay so I just blind buy this perfume and it's quite surprising. Never tried any sesame scents and this one is so accurate! At first I smell pepper, some floral notes and citrus ones then the besttttt ; sesame, the vanilla and the well sugar balanced whipped cream 😍. I'm a gourmand lover and this one is just amazing, not too sweet but enough and it seems like the sesame note become more and more grilled during the day, I love it! An everyday perfume for me, probably good for a romantic day date. I can see myself on a coffee run wearing this too. It reminds me of a japanese old house with a grandma making some delicious dishes. The bottle is pretty and not common. 9/10 UPDATE : it dried to an almost nutty scent.. it truly smells amazing!

I can't understand the bad reviews. The scent is great and the bottle is absolutely stunning. I had never imagined a sesame note in a fragrance, but it is perfect with the vanilla. It is not an ordinary vanilla that smells like cake or cookies. There is something different about it. Creamy and soft, but it is not a 'good girl' perfume. There is something wild about it. It easily can be a signature scent. I fell in love with this fragrance when I first smelled it, and I've never gotten bored of wearing it. I don't understand how it hasn't gone viral; the bottle alone is enough. I wish it had better longevity and sillage, but then again, I don't care. It is perfect and always will be my favorite.

Not sure where the Chantilly cream note is, but I am happy not to detect it on myself. I wanted a fragrance that stays throughout the day on my skin and clothes, does not offend and gives a clean feeling. To me, this is mainly an orange blossom, vanilla and sandalwood perfume, plus a bit of ginger (no pepper, just ginger) in the opening. The brand launched the fragrance at the right time, because it seems great for spring and summer to me. Price is also convenient for what this perfume delivers, the presentation is top notch, so I feel as if I had hit the jackpot with this purchase.

By far the best perfume I tried and definitely my signature scent. It opens with fresh citrusy and gentle floral notes and settles into a creamy sweet vanilla cream. Heaven in a bottle, as I like to call it. The bottle itself, while a bit unpractical, is still very beautiful. If you’re looking for something special, this may be too generic for you - but if you’re looking for a perfect everyday all around scent, this is definitely a go-to. Silage and projection is good within the first hour or two, then it turns into a skin scent.

This is a pretty feminine vanilla. I smell the ginger first. So its very fresh. In the dry down the chantilly cream and vanilla makes it gentle, warm and comforting. The sandalwood is creamy and soft. This is a fresh soft creamy vanilla. And its long lasting. And the bottle is really odd but beautiful. To me this is a everyday vanilla perfume.

Got a sample before the release and placed an order the day it was available. Love this one! It's sweet, light and subtle. It lasted on me all day. This beats This Is Her for me with the sesame note and way less citrus. Such a feel good, airy-fairy, fluffy, feminine fragrance. But that bottle is ugly.

Despite the words about the rebellious temperament of this *daring* fragrance, I was captivated by its delicacy. A delightfully pleasant, warm sesame embraced me, wrapped in smooth sweetness. Unfortunately, the sillage and projection didn’t allow me to fully experience its nuances.

pepper is my favorite note and they did this one so well. to me its all pepper, sesame and strong vanilla to sweeten it. unexpected love!! thanks amandine for another masterpiece. i wish the bottle wasn't so weird

Looks like a mix of Devotion Intense (nutty aspect) & The only one intense from Gabbana (my absolute loving scent) ; unfortunately same issue here as with the Dolce Gabbana’s one, no performance whatsoever.

This is amazing. The way it smells is just blowing my mind. I smelled this at sephora and is the sweetest perfume that i ever smelled. It makes you instantly want a desert... absolutely amazing smell!

Zadig EDP is another spicy, peppery, green, orange blossom/neroli vanilla based perfume. To give it credit, cause it deserves, I don’t feel like it smells like all other designers releases currently on the market! But it’s nothing never seen before. It’s a vanilla but not a full on gourmand one. Zadig EDP it has a nice twist from ginger, spicy nuances from black pepper, bitterness from neroli and a creamy, milky base given by sandalwood and chantilly cream. It’s a zingy, sweet, green, spicy, creamy vanilla in a nutshell! And perfectly balanced between the accords, which makes it a perfectly all year round perfume. Would I buy Zadig EDP?? Yes, I would but not for the launch prices, it’s just not worth it. Yes, it has a distinctive vibe than other vanillas but the performance is mediocre and that bottle is atrocious. I don’t want to think how would I store this bottle design in my collection!

I blind bought this fragrance, the notes tempted me, and of course the bottle itself. The opening is mainly sesame and vanilla, and after a moment white florals appear. The overall impression reminds me a bit of vanilla halva eaten at a table with a bouquet of fragrant white flowers standing on it. Unfortunately, I can hardly detect the ginger or pepper. As it develops, the scent becomes more creamy, with sandalwood, whipped cream, and vanilla becoming more pronounced. The composition is pleasant and easy to wear, although I must admit I expected something with a bit more edge and character. On my skin it lasts around five hours, with arm’s length projection at first, gradually settling closer to the skin. It’s a safe, everyday fragrance, which in my opinion will work better in cooler months rather than in hot summer weather.

A safe blind buy for any woman looking for a basic, crowd-accepting fragrance. Its like the fragrances your young mom buys when she wants to treat herself. A nice, not too sweet vanilla-ish flavor that is going to leave you smelling nice, but dont expect any compliments for it. Ive been complimented more for a 10 euro Zara perfume. I get the feeling that it doesnt linger for a long time. 2-3 hours max. Its the perfect fragrance to smell nice but not to draw any attention. Its a night and day fragrance, very versatile. I mostly bought it for the very cool bottle. I enjoy looking at it when Im getting ready for work, as it looks way more unique than it smells. Overall very happy with the scent. You can catch it on a discount for 50-ish euros now, which I think is somewhat worth it. Thank you fragrance community, Arkljuta

I have tried this today, I was intrigued by the notes, especially that chantilly accord. The opening was super sweet, almost too much, like sugar and water and then as the fragrance evolves, it becomes slightly less sweet and more creamy. I can't smell any of the pepper, to me this comes across as a very pleasant creamy and sweet vanilla fragrance, with a hint of white flowes. Nothing special but probably quite nice in colder weather. Update: I have tried this again and second time around, I find this way more interesting and complex. It is still sweet and creamy but I now can smell some very light spiciness and I think I can smell the sesame seeds, as well as a touch of orange blossom. The dry down reminds me of La Vie Est Belle Vanille Nude, which I like a lot. Zadig is actually a very nice, interesting vanilla 🤍🧁

You get the best of This is Her and some of its flankers. The citrusy part is stronger at first but then you start getting the creamy sandalwood, which feels sensual and feminine. I got a small sample of this perfume and I really liked it! It reminded me of the OG This is Her but without the strong lactonic presence. It felt fresher -which is something I appreciate now that I get older and the summer gets hotter. It feels natural, unbothering, comforting. I don't know much about the projection but it smells adorable on my skin (not too oily, not too dry). Great for all seasons. I wouldn't wear it to a club because I want to get more attention, so I choose other scents. However, for meeting your friends, walking downtown, or for whatever regular activity, this scent is a great choice.

It's pleasant but not groundbreaking. The white florals are bubblegummy and sweet, and settle nicely. It's very in line with many fragrances' white floral/vanilla trends. I get some of sesame, which adds some warmth, but I get no pepper or neroli. I do get the orange blossom, sesame, and vanilla with a bit of cream and sandalwood in the dry down. I'd say if you like Ralph Lauren Woman or Paco Rabanne's Olympea, this would be an easy like for you. Pleasantly sweet but not overpowering, comforting and good for all seasons, I think. Overall, not bad, but nothing new either.

I got this as a sample to try at Christmas and like another I havd tried from this brand I am not disappointed. I got the orange blossom blast from first spray and the forty fine is a sweet vanilla orange blossom with a hint of something in the base which I like. I am a sucker for orange blossom notes but I suspect I own too many fragrance's with similar notes to warrant copping a full bottle of this until I’ve used up some of the ones I have. I definitely need to experiment more with this brand.

Omg i get no sesame from this whatsoever. Without reading the notes, what I smelled was grapefruit or blood orange, marshmallow, vanilla and flowery notes lol. I think it smells pretty unique. The citrusy notes i got were probably from the ginger and the neroli. It is tart but it has a noticeable sweet aspect. It leans more feminine but I could see a male wear it. It is very energizing, happy and summery.

Got my sample of Zadig by Zadig & Voltaire today and it feels like This is Her and Girls Can Say Anything had a baby 😁. Opens kinda citrusy, but the drydown gets heavier and creamier, so for me, it’s definitely more cold season material — same as Girls Can Say. On paper, after 4 hours or so, it starts giving Blanche Bête vibes. Might just get the full bottle for the looks alone. 😁

A lovely choice for a young woman with a white crossbody bag🌸🌷 This is the kind of perfume I’d pack for a vacation without hesitation: hotel lobby, poolside afternoons, warm evenings and clean summer clothes. A little “popcorn” in the best sense — easy to wear, easy to like, and easy to reach for. Not the most original fragrance, but a very pleasant one. My rating: 8.5/10

Vanilla, orange blossom (at first, I actually thought it was bergamot!), and a spicy note brought by ginger - which stands out quite clearly to my nose - along with some pepper. Nothing extraordinary, but it’s pretty and pleasant. A creamy, spicy vanilla that’s very approachable. The bottle is very original, I think I quite like it.

Lovely warm vanilla fragrance though not particularly special or stand out, despite the compliments I get when I wear it. Upon first application the sesame is stronger than the other notes but on dry down it’s more vanilla. The bottle design is ridiculous though and takes up space on a shelf as it doesn’t stand up.

I'm a little disappointed, 'cause the first time I smelled it a week back (just from smelling the bottle) - it lingered in my nose through out the day, and I just HAD to have it. So I bought it, like it, but the drydown is too powdery and the freshness disappears too soon. So no love for me. Just like.

Nice creamy white floral but nothing ground breaking. It becomes faint very quick to be honest. Its very feminine like a caring mom or perfect wife in white clothes. Its a bit youthful also, not granny white floral. I like it scent wise but I need something more special and maybe beatslier performance.

The bubblegum opening with the citrus ginger almost veers into pear candy which really reminds me of Paula's Ibiza Cosmic by Loewe. Whereas Cosmic becomes more juicy Zadig gets more floral and creamy. Quite nice. Nothing groundbreaking

Oh, the opening! For a moment, I truly thought I had found the perfect milky scent — only to be disappointed by the dry down. I really hope they release an intense version that puts more emphasis on the milk notes.

I honestly quite like this one. It's a great symphony of white florals, lemon and vanilla, with the latter being more prevalent in the drydown. The packaging looks really pretty, although maybe a bit unpractical.

I don't dislike this scent at all, it's very nice, but for some reason this smells a bit male leaning for me. You can totally smell the sesame and it's kinda sweet but I would say this is totally unisex!

Very white floral, vanilla, milky, pleasantly sweet, woody, fruity. Nothing super special but a very pleasant scent. Super feminine, gourmand, baked praline, sweet.

A salty-creamy-milky concoction. Reminds me of a summer pudding!

Middle of the pack vanilla white floral. It's nice enough, but smells like a lot of scents I've smelt before. It's a slightly more interesting Prada Paradox thanks to the sesame creating a more earthy base than the slightly more common citrusy profile of modern sweet florals. It reminds me mostly of Viktor and Rolf Good fortune, but a little sweeter. The dry down smells pretty similar; it's that slightly powdery, savory vanilla over something like Prada Paradox. Directly comparing it to Twily Hermes....it just doesn't have the same depth of spice to the floral profile. I wouldn't have been able to tell you there was ginger in here without looking ,contrasting the clear heat of Twily. I've also been wearing Oxygene by Lavin today, that features pepper and milk that compares to the chantilly cream here. It's interesting how the balance of these notes can shift a scent. Oxygene is a little more heated, Zadig is actually quite lactonic. All in all, it isn't that interesting to someone like me that's had my nose on a lot of scents like it but I also don't dislike it. Definitely add lactonic to the descriptors though, this smells like vanilla milk sprinkled with sesame after a while.

I'm conflicted. On one hand, it's a perfectly pleasant scent. On the other, it's a mixture of 3 or 4 previous, still widely available pleasant scents (I'd add Prada Paradoxe to those previous commenters mentioned), so... Why? Seems redundant. The bottle, while attention grabbing, is unwieldy. After the initial gimmick-related high passes, it would just be a pain to store and use. BUT. If this is one of the few perfumes someone owns, and if displaying them prominently is important to them - it would work well in that context, since it's got the mass appeal, it's nice and inoffensive, while having the winged shtick working for it.

I received a sample with my purchase before it appeared here. White flowers + vanilla. It's a nice fragrance, but you have to like white florals. It has a slightly bubblegummy opening. Does not last long on my skin. Nothing original or groundbreaking, maybe except for the bottle if you collect them.

I was neutral to the bottle, I thought it could go either way but I'm here to report it's awful. Not pretty the slightest and it's super awkward to hold. The scent is all right, nothing outstanding tho. It's a nondescript vanilla, not in an overly gourmand way.

Like every single Z&V fragrance, too sweet, too intense, too cloying and also very long lasting! It does not smell bad, but it is just not my vibe.

I smelled this in a shop when it first came out and was not a fan. However, I received a sample so thought I’d give it another try. I was right the first time. The sesame note for me overpowers everything else - maybe I’m more sensitive to it as a note but it takes away from what could otherwise be a lovely fragrance. I don’t know why anyone would want to smell like sesame oil and vanilla essence heating up in a pan, but each to their own in 2025.

The scent disappears within 30-40 minutes! I've tried to spray on my clothes, hair and skin. I also don't smell any sandalwood, no lactonic cream, no pepper, no ginger and no sesame. The notes listed are only fantasy notes, written to make you think you are smelling what you see there. It smells like rose ketones, lily of the valley, geranium, coumarin and citrus peel with a tiny hint of artificial vanilla (vanillin). I'm very disappointed.

I wanted to love this so much, mainly because of the bottle and its OG DNA,but...no. The opening is wonderful! Sweet, creamy, yummy, vanilla. As the time goes by it gets annoyingly peppery and reminded me of some men's scents that I strongly dislike, like the Y... The drydown is horrible. Masculine and musty. I had to wash my hands and shirt, too.
