800 Black (2023)

I didn't even know it's a clone of Valentino BIR Intense when I bought this. It's absolutely amazing, and after a few months of maceration I gotta say I kinda like it even more than the Valentino. It's about 90% cheaper than it anyway. Got it for a full retail price of about €13 where I live, but I've seen it even cheaper. It's one of those rare cases where it's a safe blind buy. Hell, even if you don't like it, it's €13 and would make a great gift to someone else. Absolutely the best male Zara fragrance out there, no doubt about that in my mind. And yes, I've smelled them all.

I LOVE this!! It smells so yummy and masculine. I gave it as a gift for a friend, but now I'm sad I didn't buy one for my husband, I will though!

I was fortunate to find Zara 800 Black at a discount, paying only $9 for a 100ml bottle—an absolute steal. This fragrance is a well-executed dupe of Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Intense, offering a dark, masculine, and alluring scent while maintaining a youthful edge. It’s an excellent choice for evening dates, regardless of the season. While the scent itself is outstanding, its main drawback lies in performance. Longevity is quite weak, barely reaching the two-hour mark, with projection fading significantly after just 30 minutes. To counter this, I usually carry a decant for reapplication. That said, considering its purpose as a date-night fragrance, its short lifespan might be sufficient for certain occasions. Scent: 9.5/10 Longevity: 3/10 Projection: 4/10 Value for Money: 9/10

This fragrance is a great alternative to BIR or Azzaro the most wanted. It is sweet with a deeper notes of tonka mixed in with a that brightness from the citrus. This fragrance smells incredible for the price point but man the longevity and projection really kills it. This fragrance becomes skin scent and fades away after just an hour or two and projects for maybe 30 minutes. This fragrance is incredibly cheap so I can’t crap on it too hard. If you love scents like the ones I mentioned this is an easy and safe blind buy but don’t expect much from it.

Not a clone of armani code parfum or Valentino Born In Roma Intense. I don't think think one is identical to any fragrance I know, but I would say it is like a mix of 212 Vip Black with pacco rabanne black XS. Decent longevity, one of the only older fragrances from zara that actually quite last (5-6 hours). Heavy but headaching projection if you overspray Very good for the price but dont use it more than 5 sprays!

It's quite a decent scent for colder weather. The spray is fresh, but doesn't take long to be overtaken by the sweet yummy tonka. Do NOT wear this is warm days, as it's quite sweet. Very simple fragrance, doesn't particularly stand out, but sometimes you just wanna wear something cheap to go grocery shopping. Would buy it as a gift. 6.5/10 🐁

It has a very appealing and masculine scent. I would say that it should be used more on autumn and winter nights, but depending on the temperature of the day it is also good. The performance is a little weak, it lasts about 4 hours depending on the person. It's a great perfume to add to your collection for its value.

Nekem ez nem bőrös, mint a 212 black, se nem fás, az én orromnak ez egy édes, virágos, de férfias illat. Most, 2025 januárjában vettem kb 8 EUR árért, ami ajándék. Kellemes, de nem csíkhúzós, viszont 3-4 órát körbeleng az illat. Nem csak télen tudom elképzelni az embereken, ez simán lehet 4 évszakos parfüm.

Typical designer mass appealing scent. It will not offend anyone and can be safely used in an office environment. Projects good for the first 30-45 minutes but settles down quickly after that. By the 3rd hour is just a skin scent. It can be worn year round, day and night except really hot days.

About 4 hours longevity where you end up with close to skin tonka beans scent. Very citrusy + balsamic sensation in the first 1 hour of application. Overall a good budget cold weather fragrance.

Creamy tonka bean with white flower. Saffron is listed, but this fragrance is less spicy than the average male perfume.

This smells a lot like my chosen antiperspirant of the early 2010s, Old Spice Fiji. It strikes me as immature now, something you would use to cover body odor, but it's nostalgic to me and reminds me of my early forays into "boy stuff".

It's a little bit irrelevant, because the longevity is like 4~5h. The Mid drydown it kinda reminds me of YSL La nuit + good vanilla. It's a pass for me, but I'll keep the bottle since it was really cheap.

It's an ok generic fragrance that it best suited for colder days. In between The One and Armani Code.

Poor fragrance not worth the price tag.

It is exactly as described in the notes: a linear fragrance built around tonka bean, yuzu, and saffron. Tonka brings a sweet almond-like facet, yuzu adds a bright yellow citrus, and saffron introduces a bitter, spicy edge. The sweet almond rounds out the yuzu citrus and creates the fruity aspect. The bitterness of saffron holds the sugar in place, forming a dry layer over the sweetness. The fusion creates a grown-up fruity sweetness, with a restrained, elegant tutti-frutti effect: bitter on the outside, sweet on the inside. Nothing juvenile, nothing bubblegum-like. It is not invasive, it is intimate. It knows how to be sweet, fruity, bitter, and light at the same time. If I had to describe it in colors, 800 Black is black, yellow, and lilac. There is no doubt this is an elegant fragrance, made for mild to cool weather, for a well-dressed urban night.

An armani code profumo clone, if u like that fragrance or lattafa hayaati gold, you'll like this one, but this isn't as sweet as code profumo, it's more powdery and light which, as expected especially for an EDT Zara fragrance hence, the performance is alright (5-6 hours)

My review is pretty much the same as the one below. Nice, alluring evening scent, with the tonka/citrus/saffron blend. Very light performance, barely any sillage and longevity. Not worth more than $10 US.

There is this plasticky base note that is present like how it is in black afgano, 212 vip black extra which is very nice love it (i think its similar to bases that contain cacao/vetiver/patchouli)

I smelled this at store today, it smells ALOT like valentine Uomo intense! very similar. smells so GOOD! I just did not pick it up because I own a Valentino already. Amazing price too.

That is A bottle !!! -I so desperate want to smell this juice, and, pls, let this beauty come to Zara in Oslo, pls!!!

I use this for fitness, it's alright. No longevity, nor projection but smells nice.
