A Perfume In Rose

Missed this first time around but this is for the re-release in Sept 2023. It’s identical to Glossier You, I own both, everything I love about You it’s here and half the price for double the amount you get. A bit peppery, a bit pear-y sweet and dries down ambrette. It’s a skin scent, my smell but better, and great for days for you dont know what to wear or non-perfume perfume days. Best to wear it near pulse points as it need a little heat to radiate throughout the day. The You version smells different on everyone, some are more spicy than others and some are “skunky”. Love it or hate it, I love this, will be stocking up another couple bottles.

not sure why the name has roses in it because it doesn’t smell like roses at all. Glossier You is my signature scent and this one is about 95% close, only difference is the pear note but once it dries down smells the same to me. My bf can tell the difference between the two though he says he can really smell the pear note. But other than that it stills smells very good to him. Hope Zara brings it back because I already went through a 100ml bottle and love how it’s a cheap alternative to my signature scent - use it for the gym and errands :)

This is a very nice and simple perfume, an easy reach. I bought it because people compare it to Glossier You which is not available where I live. I must say - this has a great longevity! Specially on clothes. Lasted for an entire morning + a swimming lesson. Lingered on what I was wearing all day. However it does stay close to the skin. What I mostly detect here is ambrette and the freshness of the pear in the beginning. It’s not a rose forward fragrance despite its name. Definitely will reach a lot for it during spring/summer.

I got it after reading the reviews on Glossier's You dupe as I'm interested in that but don't have the budget for it. It works just like how it hoped it would, and some more! It has a nice, clean, sweet yet simple pear scent on the first spray. On fabric, it stays soft and musky throughout, but it works its magic on the spots I spray on my skin because the pepper smell comes through so refreshingly sharp. My partner found it funky, but i love it exactly because of how odd it is! I can't really smell the rose though...

I have both this and Glossier You, and let me tell you, A Perfume In Rose is better. Glossier You is great on its own but when I tried this, I now feel like Glossier You is missing something. You definitely don’t need both, but I will buy this fragrance over and over before I ever repurchase another bottle of Glossier You. When I’m in the mood for this kind of scent, Glossier You gets reached over to grab this one nearly every time. This is a winner from Zara for sure.

I bought this because i heard it smelled like glossier you. I have the solid version and it does smell EXACTLY like glossier in every way. Yes there is some pear but frankly i like the pear more in this than the glossier. It's my dream scent! The only problem is it literally disappears in seconds :/ barely anyone ever smells it on me unless i do like a milliom sprays. If this was stronger im sure i wouldn't have ever purchased another perfume again

me and my boyfriend loved this scent so much we had to go back to the store to get it! smells just like the glossier one, and the price is so much better. on me it lasts a pretty long time, considering how soft and gentle it is. it truly is such a pretty, comforting scent. smells like childhood. so elegant and pretty 🖤 just got one and already want to purchase again. zara won 🤞🏻defo would make this my signature

I have Glossier You and this is almost exactly the same. I often get compliments wearing this as well. Very nice office friendly, soft and light. I love it in the summer and in cold weather. If Zara put it again on the market I will 100% repurchase this. 10/10. The longevity is the same as Glossier. Note that it smells like the reformulated You.

Smells amazing and cozy. Radiates for about 1 hour in arm length if you overspray, but lingers on clothes up to days. I keep getting these wonderful whiff scents after spraying it in clothes. Gives me Chloe and Valentino rose vibes, probably because of the juicy pear and musk. Happy purchase, I have been wearing it non stop :)

I tried this in Zara today on one arm and went to Sephora to spray “Glossier You” on my other arm. I have been smelling them both all day and to me they smell identical! I bought the Zara one as way cheaper and smells wonderful. Definitely one of those my skin but better scents. Love it 😍

unlike anything i've smelt before, i don't know what is in there, i can't catch any particular note (i don't like roses!!!! i can't smell them here at all happily), it smells very interesting, at first even kind of addicting, i could not stop smelling my wrists. if this is how glossier you smells like, i'd probably really like it. UNFORTUNATELY stupid thing happened, i started to smell an element of this in and around the underground???? i honestly don't know if there was someone wearing it and my brain just connected or if there is actually some note in this reminiscent of the underground. either way, it's ruined for me edit! i got to try glossier you today, the scent is EXACTLY the same. only zara has worse lasting power.

honestly, rose scents don't go well with my body chemistry but i had to give this a shot since many ppl say it's a dupe for Glossier You and i'm a sucker for clean girl scents aside from vanilla. 🤪 this is a vv delicate, feminine and simple scent that's wearable on any occasions. it doesn't smell like an "old lady" type of rose scent so don't get intimidated by its name. this is suitable in our climate here in ph. it's light & kinda powdery bc of the iris note. i can't detect a strong rose scent, instead i get that prominent musky scent from the ambrette. this smells clean and screams "clean girl vibes" ✨

I’ve worn this for the past couple weeks daily, and to me it is very similar to Glossier You. However, when I wear You, people compliment my perfume all the time (when I’ve first sprayed it because it doesn’t last long on me), and I notice people having a visceral reaction at times. I haven’t received a single comment, negative or positive on this perfume. This Zara creation doesn’t have whatever magic is in You. However, I DO enjoy it myself, I catch hints of it throughout the day and it calms me. So I will keep wearing this, for my own serenity. ❤️

This is a review of the newly released version of A Perfume in Rose (2023). Wow this smells identical to Glossier You! Just a dreamy powdery iris with a subtle juicy pear on a base of warm Ambrette. I really like this and for double the amount for less than half the price and a nice simple pretty bottle I think it's a great choice to add to your collection. I'm really impressed with Zara on this one! The only thing to keep in mind is that it's not a beast mode perfume, this sits closer to the skin but you can still smell it.

A very non-sweet, intimate, musky perfume. Smells super similar to Glossier You, but a MUCH cheaper price point. Heavy on the pink peppercorn and very subtle rose. I like this perfume, but it is soooo light you can't smell it unless your nose is pressed up against your skin. It's nice, though- classy, not very sweet or floral, but a nice "you smell good" perfume.

Bought this because heard that it was a glossier you dupe. Honestly, I prefer this to glossier you. This also started my interest in ambrette. I smelled my clothes the next day and I just can’t stop smelling the ambrette, its the way the ambrette was formulated here. I love it

I was looking for something to replace Glossier You when they reformulated and this smells identical to me, but it does not have great projection or longevity unfortunately :( still a great deal though!

Beautiful scent that no one can smell. I spray it like a b&W body mist, so around 10 times, 3 or more on skin and A LOT on my clothes. Even then 5 min after I've sprayed it, my partner says he cannot smell a thing. And neither can I. I practically soak myself in it but it's sillage is next to nothing. Though I seem to be the only to smell it when I'm at the gym for the hour and the next day after I doused my sweater twice and put my nose to it. And sometimes a notice it in the air when I'm working (there is absolutely no scent trail though) It's a bit depressing how when I do smell it, it's beautiful and only if it performed it would have been the perfect signature scent for me.

I've been on the hunt for the best (in my opinion) dupe for Glossier You and I think I've found it in A Perfume In Rose! For the longest time my preferred dupe is Kaleidoscope. However, with it being discontinued and hard to find I was left with saving as much of my bottle as I could. Now I won't need to! This opens with a smooth blend of Pink Pepper and Pear although quite faint and fleeting. The Florals come in next with a hint of the Ambrette adding subtle depth in the background. Topping this with Kaleidoscope makes it brighter and fresher. If you live in a warm climate I find this suitable on days you'd expect the heat to get to you. Helps you feel a lot cleaner and confident as you sweat it out. You can bathe in the juice without a care because of its price, unlike with You where too many sprays can make you question if it's worth the splurge. At least you have A Perfume in Rose to cover for you. :D

This smells very similar to JHAG Not a Perfume on me. I would say this is a better version of that because this actually smells like a perfume whereas Not a Perfume can come across a little odd. I like this but I wouldn't say I love it. The pear is quite strong on my skin and I'm not a fan of pear. But I will say the lasting power is great. Edit: Tried it a second time and the pear is still really strong. I don't get any rose. It feels slightly green to me, and has a sharpness that my nose doesn't like. It's not a bad scent and I wouldn't mind smelling it on someone else, but it's not my preferred scent profile.

My bottle looks very different from what is pictured; it's clear with a pink top. This is a good dupe for the original Glossier You. Smells just like it. Iprayed a bit into the cap to smell and was just hit by a wave of emotion. It might sound corny but You was the first perfume I wore daily as an adult about 5 years ago and it's so strongly associated with memories of that time in my life - I felt them all flooding back to me the second I smelled it. The people I knew, the house I lived in and all the greenery around it, where I worked, the car I drove. It was wild.

The clear bottle version just got discontinued. CS apparently has no news on the future of this scent. This was the perfect, affordable and available (in UK) dupe of Glossier You. I deeply regret not stocking up, as we do not have many alternatives. The lasting power is about the same as You, which is... Not great, but it is a very clean, personal scent. I hope they will be doing the classic Zara thing of rebranding the smell under a different name. Which would be a good move, as this scent is popular and definitely does not have any rose in it. Weird name pick.

Very nice, simple, slightly sweet but not cloying or headache inducing, rose. It's soft and feminine, airy but not cold. The pear or at least the slightly sweet aspect prevents it from going into "grandma rose" territory. It's actually hard to really get the rose at first spray, it blends into a nice elegant, pleasant, simple floral. There is definitely rose on the dry down, actually thats all I can smell once its been sprayed for 2+hours on my wrist, simply rose. Good for any occasion, easy wear, you can't go wrong with this.

i don’t support zara and havent bought from them for many years but since i recently finally got my hands on glossier you, i knew i had to find a dupe. and this 100% a glossier dupe!!! there is no rose note at all, just the yummy pear and pepper that i love in You. very positively surprised. not long lasting or with good sillage, but its nice to have a perfume like glossier but much cheaper, so you can spray more generously!

Ok, now that Zara has added a third one in this line I am starting to believe they are all Byredo dupes. The third one is called A perfume in blue and is similar to Blanche which makes me think this one is a dupe for Mojave Ghost. Lets wait for in Red, will it be Gypsy Water?

I bought this specifically because it smells like Glossier You and i'm not disappointed. It opens with a strong note of pear but over time, that goes away and the scent it leaves on the skin is just truly identical to Glossier You and i love it. I have a new everyday perfume!

They launched it again in a new bottle (same bottle as Fields at Nightfall, Myself Flower, Lightly Bloom ecc). I so want to try it, love ambrette!

i tried to like this, i really did, but ambrette gives pencil shavings to me in a way that is deeply unpleasant and headache inducing :(

This smells woodsy on my skin, almost like pencil shavings until it dries down to a nice clean musk after an hour or so. I love this!

Desperately hoping Zara brings this one back, anyone selling one and wanna earn some karma points lol please write me!

The scent itself isn’t bad. The only thing here which is called eau de parfum lasts for 30 mins. What a joke!
